APPEARANCE


Aleksander is a thin and lanky individual who looks out of place on the battlefield due to his apparent physical frailty. While he is no doubt physically fit, the sheer lack of bulk puts him at a visible disadvantage when carrying his equipment around the battlefield. Despite this, there also seems to be a visible benefit. He is quick, jittery, and seems atypically energetic. He is almost constantly in a state of motion; even when sitting down he seems ready to bolt at any moment, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet.


His face is typical of those native to the Russian countryside; a strong brow with pronounced cheek-bones and a straight Romanesque nose. His eyes are sunken, sporting large, dark bags under them independent of the amount of sleep he has achieved the night before. His cheeks and jawline have a gaunt nature too them, giving him a very long and drawn appearance.


His hair is has been cut close to the scalp with a razor, but has been done so haphazardly; some areas are longer, some shorter, and a general lack of uniformity plagues his appearance. It is clearly a utilitarian approach to personal appearance.


HISTORY


Aleksander was raised in a small village much further to the West of Stalingrad. The Soviet army evacuated him as the German Wehrmacht advanced further and further into Soviet-Held territory. They showed up in an old flatbed, took those they could, and then burnt the village with firebombs and flamethrowers before leaving.


From a young age Aleksander was taught to be a farmer, and learned the value of hard work; the unforgiving soil never left much time for relaxation. He was never much of a hunter, but his father made sure he understood the ins and outs of trapping, to prevent pests from eating through the crops and livestock.


Aleksander never received any formal military training, and has fought the German army on only a handful of occasions – all times he has never actually been engaged in melee combat, and has simply been engaged in a fighting retreat comporting with Stalin’s “scorched earth” policy.

APPEARANCE


Vladislav is a huge man with a strong muscular build who towers a head above most others. He looks like a tall bear put in an uniform most of the time as the clothes do no fit him perfectly well. Thanks to his strong build he had no trouble carrying his own equipment around and some extra stuff for other people. His size does have its disadvantages as it makes him a bigger target and he sometimes can't fit through tight spaces. He is not the fastest but he packs quite a punch either when using his bayonet or using his bow.


Vlad has a square face with a strong brow, a broad jaw and pointy cheekbones. His nose is broad and has clearly been broken several times in the past. His eyes are big and seem bright with life and the soft green color of the iris makes looking him in the eyes quite pleasant. His mouth is wide and his lips seem almost to be missing until he opens his mouth. He has thick eyebrows which are like straight lines above his eyes.


His hair is very short as if it had been shaved a while ago and had started to regrow, if it grows any longer he will have to shave again lest he wants to spark the ire of a commissar. He has a short beard which he didn't shave off when he was conscripted and only kept it short.


HISTORY


Vlad grew up in a village near the Ural mountains where he was taught to hunt from a young age and learned archery from his family. He was always taught that the balance of nature had to be kept by a hunter lest he would destroy his source of food. He had grown to be a bear of a man by the time the war broke out.


Vlad was conscripted briefly before the Stalingrad offensive. He grabbed his bow, quiver and arrows when he was conscripted. After receiving his gear and a very brief training which was quite literally "The bayonet goes there and then you stab them with it." he boarded the train headed for the front and before he knew it he was looking at Stalingrad from the deck of one of the boats that was headed towards the city. He had always been a hunter, but being a soldier was already very different for him.

She's a very elfish looking girl, despite her height, which is slightly above average, and her stand out hair color, which is cut into a pixie cut to fit under her Ushanka. Her body is toned and muscular from years of farm work in Ukraine, though her skin is a slight tan due to the sun-light she draws from farming, or she did.Despite her young looks she acts with the wisdom of someone much older and eyes are filled with a haze of someone who's seen too much. She has a scar on her lower bottom lip that runs diagonally up to her left nostril and stops below it, it also runs slightly downwards at the same angle and reaches at her jawline. For clarification, by elfish I mean her face is very sharply cut and defined, with high cheek-bones and a stong jaw.


HISTORY


Irina is a farm girl who was born and raised in Soviet Ukraine, the agricultural center for the Soviet regions. due to her father's death around her 5th birthday she and her 6 brothers were forced to work in the fields to keep their once prosperous farm in production. On her 9th year she had an accident while attempting to fix her family's Universal tractor. The belt snapped while she was looking at the engine while it was running, it slashed across her face, leaving her a nasty scar on her lip and chin. She had some technical experience from her father and brother's along with basic veterinarian skills to keep the livestock in good condition. When she turned 19 she decided to leave the farm and join in the Red Army, being enlisted to the 64th Army. As war broke out the Army was slowly pushed up to Stalingrad, where she would be stationed. Historically the 64th would later become the 8th Guards. She was trained in the Red Army more thoroughly with medical practices but due to lack of Supply in her Stalingrad forward post had meager medical rations to work with.

APPEARANCE


Joshua is a young man who has seen a life of hardship, and his body projects it. He has a rugged face with scars covering it. A buzz cut, and a scruffy beard, which makes Joshua look very intimidating to most who don't know him. With having a shorter height than most men, Joshua constantly worked out to keep himself on par with the bigger and stronger men of his rough neighborhood. This lead to a muscular and ripped body, which only adds to his already intimidating persona.


HISTORY


Joshua's life was a hard one, living on the life of crime was full of strife and death. Joshua learned the basics of survival, Pick pocketing, Street Smarts, and fighting. Constantly stealing and fighting was Joshua's way of life. Killing men also came part of his job, to the point of not being phased by another job involving it. This also allowed Joshua to not be a stranger to weapons, allowing him to become quite proficient with it. The scars on his face came from his most recent job, having to kill a man for missing on payments to a local loan shark. Though this proved to only be an ambush, that not only nearly killed him, but left the people who attacked him lying dead under his feet. With no family to wait for him, he goes to the war eagerly to prove not only a name for himself, but to be able to get out of the life of crime that has been with him since birth.
