Sword Art Online: Server in ruins

It's cool but start posting so you can get up to speed.

You haven't missed too much plot outside of people meeting up and grinding to survive the first dungeon

Just do as your characters would @Jabrark . Unless you actively don't do crap you'll be fine, the master grinder thing is a joke because MMOs rely entirely on boring, mechanical repetition in order to achieve the highest levels of success, particularly the asian ones. I just spent a bunch of posts, boring ass ones, exploring the noobhouse which I figured wouldn't net me much of anything. On grindan terms it would've been much better to focus those posts on one or two skills or maybe slaughtering enemies after making a proper leveling plan with ordered skill priorities.

its between 7-8 pm. to get a good reference.accurate enough? I would say its enough time for u guys to mine..mule the stuff to town...build daggers....and tag them...assuming the server started at 1pm

with this occasion my char had time to reach Horunka village and get back and do a couple of lvl 1 quests

Yeah, I've played my share of MMOs. I guess I could just have someone explain my abilities to me, because I'm not exactly sure what they do. By the way, neither of them is a miner, but one of them is a tailor. Alright, I'll just stick with what everyone else has.

hear that u can have somebody make the pimpalicious mage clothes u wanted, can't remember who exactly..I guess its available for all the chars that don't have a type of armor as a combat skill, which by my opinion its a stupid thing..but this isn't ur usual MMO is it now

Yeah. SAO was extremely systematic which I really liked about the anime, but it's extremely difficult to try and replicate it.

SAo's stuff is just a crappy version of UO's mechanics

Anyway for skills:

Acrobatics is for jumping around and stuff.

Searching is counter-stealth

Hiding is stealth

foraging helps you find special herbs and stuff that are used for heals, cooking, or maybe even dyes

Traps is for making and disarming traps

Sprinting is hauling ass

Tailoring is making cosmetic items aka clothes

Battle healing is like your regen for HP which can be leveled up

And first aid is actual healing without any consumables

Having no particular armor skill, and characters who choose this route wearing robes, is about as usual as it gets for RPGs and this includes MMOs. Basically any game with a squishy caster class has them wear robes that have no armor value. Some games also have combat characters who don't have armor such as monks.

Ahh, okay. But I didn't really know what you meant by foraging, I took it as like gathering supplies. Lol. Well, whatever, I can work with that.

well guess i'll get kayla to grind for xp...and hope this time she will get SOME GOLD....
Think about real MMO. Mad dosh comes from trading stuff, not from quests or enemies.

so the mobs only give xp? no random shitty items? cause i remember posting that she had shitty items but chose to sell them all to clear inventory space...still no gold..I didn't buy stuff from Harunka village because i waited a response on the gold/col income...guess I was wrong.. please define real MMO for me:(

Mobs give some gold and vendor trash to get money. But real profit like in 99& of other mmos involves the player market and selling either materials or items to others via auction houses/stalls

Mobs are supposed to drop gold and on occasion a drop in addition to vendor items. But like @Ixacise said, there are significantly more profitable means of gaining financial resources.

Okay, I posted. I'll be gone for a while guys. I've got to take a shower and get to bed early. I had a late night last night and I have church in the morning. I'll be back tomorrow for sure.

tnx, also..

after some calculation a shitty dagger that you guys made costs 33,(3) gold aprox. 33 gold right? I will go around that with weapons..but how about armor parts (pimpalicious mage robe, clothing)/leather/medium/heavy?
