Sword Art Online: Server in ruins

Okay, I understand it now. I don't really get dice either, but I figured something like this would be using dice considering what I've heard of about its uses, so I was hoping someone in here could explain it to me, considering I'm fairly new to Rp Nation. :/ But no matter, I'll find a way to keep up.
Please god no don't ask for mechanics or the GM is going to break out Anima.

It's pandora's box, man, don't do it.

Anima is a roleplaying system that's hilariously unbalanced. Damn near every battle is either a glorious slaughter or a crushing massacre, thanks to the wonky critical hit rules.

Aren't they the same? Lols. xD Oh no, I see what you mean.

It's not that terribly unbalanced at least compared to something utterly shit like say exalted or D&D's caster-fighter bullshit.

Also I'd say Hol's traveller parody life charts thing is longer than anima's. However what it is for real is one of the more newb unfriendly systems that are complex but not HERO complex either.

@Endymion

Yeah you can join

You might want to grind a little more, Turbostar. Remember how rough you had it with one Little Nepent?

:D imma put that rapiers lvl up to use..+ that stake item bonus.. and now she knows the monsters attack patterns. That time it got her by surprise....now its payback

Yup

Also sure is slow. And I'd like to get another update a bit more earlier than the one I had to crank out coming from the Holidays.

Things have slowed and we're like almost twenty pages in and nothing of too much value has happened.

Tell you what let's speed up to the first good part or something like that: Guild dickery!. Anyway I'm gonna award those who have posted like usual. And then we all do a montage twice to basically level up like 20 levels or so to get to go through the first two bosses of floor 1 & 2 and then like slow down for guild drama and some more plot points and work your way up again.

Yes but yay or nay for some montages and some mild dungeon crawling so we can move things along?

Since the writing method is more broken than Zimbabwe's currency I was thinking of restructuring the grinding to be more of a resource management thing instead of an obtuse writing exercise but I got stuck on handling the skills that aren't used in combat. Since I was thinking having you pay health for grinding for x amounts of XP and using first aid or battle healing or something to restore the HP. Or something like that

Anyway for montage you gotta have You're the best around, Push it to the limit, and maybe Highway to the Dangerzone

Fine songs. Done. Now is Viewer's Mailbox also addressed in the montage as well, mostly for giggles?

And resource management is how we are going to handle the grindan from henceforth then?

You forgot Eye of The Tiger, Ixacise.

Also resource management sounds cool so long as it doesn't translate to "I am going to drop Anima on you".

Oh yeah I forgot about the Rocky song

I guess once I get something actually materialized. Since I have no intention of having to make a bunch of monsters for all 100 floors of this go D&D style with it.

Also anima will only be dropped if there is sufficient whining with nothing productive behind it

yes for the montage..is like a timeskip for grinding, right?

Also, for the mission last mission Kayla took the original name from canon was <<Secret Medicine of the Forest>> and the reward was a nice of xp and the item <<Anneal Blade>>, but seeing that canon counts for almost nothing here, I'm asking the GM what reward it should have?
