Dave looked at the strange man getting swarmed by monsters, he was worried. His life was draining fast, but he also seemed like kind of an asshole.

"Should we help him?" He asked the chat.

Ravita followed the group quietly, listening in one whatever they were saying without any personal input. When she saw the mob of monsters suddenly attack at the random man viciously, she winced and looked away. Double D and Inuyasha seemed to just want to leave him there and jet and although she felt bad about such an option and it would probably add a weight of guilt on for ...who knew how long, she wasn't going to be that person who felt the need to play hero. Especially when she had trouble with two boars- trying to jump in and help defeat some plant mob, that was just total suicide on her part.

Another member of the group wondered out loud whether or not they should help or not. She didn't want to look back and witness that stranger's death- even if it is a death that lacked gore and ultimately lead to shiny particle pieces- death was still death no matter how creative or different you try to make it. So Ravita just stayed quiet, as usual. Whatever the majority decided on, she would stick with. Yup, that was her alright- being completely dependent and not making her own decisions. Then again, she didn't really trust her own judgement right now.

"I mean, helping him seems like a good-", the health bar hit zero and blinked out of existence, "-oh, shit. Never mind, then. Alas poor Caruso- Carnito? I didn't quite catch the name. Anyways, alas poor Kuriboh, we didn't know who you were, but I get the feeling you were somehow important."

Ryan scratched his nose nervously

"So, uh, let's... Jesus, I don't really know what to say. I hope the GM was lying about the whole death thing."

A popup appeared in the corner of his interface: The poll results. "Huh, perfect 50/50 split. Whaddaya know."

Ryu clasped his hands together, "Hopefully the GM was lying about that and he has peacefully

logged off... K-san. Or whatever his name was." Ryu shrugged as he looked around, "Guys so where is that Nepent mob anyway? They can't be too far from here, I'm sure the quest mentioned these co-ords..." Ryu glanced around looking for plant monsters. Ryu glanced at the interface, "Wow, evenly split. Interesting. WELL VIEWERS WHO VOTED FOR DEATH, YOU GOT IT. Anyway share your thoughts about the game so far. And oh say, mailbox, anyone wanna do mailbox? We've got quite a few questions!"

"Actually yes it is, do you not see the enemy names?" He then poked at a wiggling sprout only for one of those plant monsters to pop out. Unleasing his #double cross swipe which proved to be overkill as it one shot it. <25 Xp gaine> <10 col><3x Aromatic leaves> He then rushed to the horde of mobs and then used Blade pirouette to spin around very fast and act like how a food processor shreds lettuce. He cleaved one in twain then another one and slashed its stem off from yet another one. He then jumped and landed on the blade and used the animation to barrel through like five of the plants as he did massive damage.

Animation stopping he got hit by an annoying combo of vine slaps but it wasn't terrible <5 hp lost><5 hp lost><5 hp lost>. He then leap again and drove his blade into the head of one killing it. Then he slapped chopped another. With a sizable gap of monsters dead he looked at the floor as all the dead models literally piled over each other. <69 xp gained> <56 Col gained> <x106 aromatic leaves gained> "Dammmit!" he yelled at the top of his lungs.

Yep. Ravita didn't even have to struggle to turn back and look. That guy died, hands down plain as that. And holy shit! Were these guys laid back about it too- even saying that the whole death thing may not even be real but all some kind of practical joke. She didn't really have evidence on why, but she had a sickening feeling that this game was, indeed, a sadistic one and...whoever the hell just combusted into oblivion of the game had indeed not awakened back into reality.

Dammit I really need to stop thinking about this! she began to scold at herself as she bit at her lip to keep it from quivering. Damn anxiety just didn't want to leave her alone. One small thing happens and she feels awful. But what was she upset about anyways? Back in reality she saw all kinds of things about death all over the news and it never bothered her except for when it was a baby or a child at the age of innocence. So why was this, something that normally would occur IRL, taking her for a total guilt trip. Especially when she KNEW she couldn't of done anything if she tried- but rather just have killed herself.

"Dammit my double standards right now really suck.." she mumbled to herself before trying to preoccupy her thoughts elsewhere before the anxiety REALLY got to her. She listened in to how they began to talk about the quest again and all she could do was try to NOT think about the previous event.

Hell, better said than done.

Suddenly, upon instigation, had the plant moster...thingies...begin to attack at the captain. He did good with killing a nice deal of them but then he took damage to a combo hit. It hurt him a little but he was quick to deal his payback.

Thinking this was an appropriate time to make sure she was prepared and ready for whatever that could come she opened up her menu and equipped her rapier again, the weapon materializing in her hands- still with that same foreign feel.
Oh well, I'll have to get used to it one way or another.

Ryu checked his interface, he mis-clicked the enemy names off, "AH thanks Captain-san..." He stared as he saw the Parfait monsters as they were actually the Nepents. "... W-wha!? DEVS YOU MADE THIS YOUR PLANT MONSTER!?" Ryu clenched his fists in anger as he rushed up to the nearest Nepent and used his #FlurryStrike, as he began punching the Nepent in a series of viscious jabs, "ATATATATATATATATATATATATATA HALF DEMON POWERS ACTIVATE!" The first Nepent died as he turned to another one. He then activated a #SpinningKick as he swirled around striking two of them with his right leg. The Nepents struck him fairly quickly <5 hp lost> <5 hp lost> <5 hp lost> <5 hp lost> <5 hp lost> Ryu glared at them as he shouted out at the top of his lungs, "YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD!" he upper-cutted one of them as the other attacked <5 hp lost>. Ryu then backhanded the last one as it fell down. He sat down and began meditating, as he began glowing a light green <10 hp restored>.

On the way down the cavern, the two barely spoke. Kiki was focused on destroying anything that came her way, while Seely was focused on keeping it way. These two truly a perfect fit. Their skill-sets complimented each other's very well. "Shh, I hear someone coming." Seely slipped Kiki into invisibility just as a lone reptilian came walking into view. The lizard froze in place as it laid eyes on Seely, but quickly got to moving again as Kiki sent it flying into the cavern wall with a full-force kick to the stomach. Stunned, the monster laid motionless as a flurry of four-knuckled fists came in a never-ending torrent until..the monster became one himself; particles floating away like sparkling dust, in the cavern's lantern light.

"You didn't have to do that." "I didn't want to waste any stamina," she murmured. That is what she said. But Kiki knew better than anyone that that wasn't true. She just had an overwhelming desire to destroy it with her bare hands. Two more lizards came winding down rocky path, encountering the duo on their way down to the bottom, and Kiki dispatched them both the same way as before. Mercilessly.

Switching on her X-ray vision, it could be seen that they were getting close to the main chamber. Though she could see reptilians sprinkled across all around the room, what really caught her attention was a lone figure, sitting legs crossed in the middle of the room with it's eyes closed.
It looks as if its meditating. It must be the boss then. "Are you ready Seely? It looks like this is it buddy." The chameleon said nothing but simply nodded. The pair walked towards the opening of the bottom chamber, and when they entered, they were greeted by the stares of about 35 reptilians ready for battle at a moment's notice. Kiki eyed them intently as they slowly made their way to the on meditating in the middle. The moment she heard a foot creep forward, she would have Seely cover them in invisibility, then they would make their way back outside where they could re-group and make a plan of attack.

As if she said it all out loud, a loud *thunk* came out from behind them. They were trapped. A huge slab of stone had fallen down from the ceiling; their only exit now blocked by a chunk of impenetrable stone. Kiki brushed it off and continued making her way forward to the middle of the room, ears trained for any sign of movement from any of the 35 reptilians encircled around the room. This reptile was lighter than the rest. It was yellow-ish in color and wore a sash of decorated shells running from its right shoulder on down to its left hip. At the sound of their approach, the reptile broke from its trance and eyed the two intruders cautiously. As the monster shifted a foot while placing one hand on its knee to raise itself up, the rest around the room simultaneously took a step forward. Alarmed, Kiki stood still in place, and took a defensive stance with her arms out, ready to parry the first attack that came her way.

Seeing her prepare for battle against the 35, the boss raised its arm and every last reptilian dropped their head and took one step back as a show of reverence. Relaxing from the stance, Kiki eyed the monster and asked
"Can you talk?" Saying nothing, the reptile walked forward to Kiki and pointed a spindly finger at Seely. "Yeah what about him?" She questioned. It let out a harsh growl and made a motion with its arms like it was batting away a mosquito. I see. "Seely, take a step back. It doesn't want any interference." As Seely stepped back, the boss murmured a grunt of approval, and widened the distance between Kiki and himself by nearly 10 paces. It assumed an attitude of respect and bowed towards its opponent. Wow. This may be just a game but I am truly touched. Returning the bow, Kiki pulled herself into a posture of readiness, signaling that she was all set to begin. The Reptilian did the same. With heartfelt sincerity, Kiki thanked the monster and said:

"May our fight be fair. And may we battle as equals."

"SO these are the enemy? All right, lets have a battle!"

He engaged the nearest nepent and entered his battle stance, waiting for it to attack him. It lunged towards him vines flailing. "#Parry-Riposte!" He cried, blocking the hit and launching a deadly hit back at the Mob. "#Continuer!" He yelled once more as he continued his deadly dance across the battlefield, leaving a trail of particle effects in his wake. "#Flèche!" Charged towards the nearest mob, rapier outstretched, stabbing into it. <69 xp gained> <46 Col gained> <x55 aromatic leaves gained>

Ravita watched as the others began to go in for the kill of these nepent creatures and, after taking a deep breath decided to give it a go as well. Don't fuck up as bad as you did with the boars. That means no hesitation, no feelings of being unsure, and certainly no. tripping.

She turned around to face the closest nepent that wasn't being targeted by another. And with one more deep breath she began to charge after it. The nepent was quick to notice her and launched its vines towards her. In a sloppy form of hesitation, she stumbled and ducked- just barely missing it. She used that time before the vines could be pulled back to disassemble them with her rapier and managed to do so.

Fuck! Ok! Something's working! she breathed as she jumped back up and charged after the nepent again. This time instead of going all the way right at it she took advantage of distance and stabbed into. She did what she did with the boars- a deep cut inside. With force she forced her blade all the way through it and with what strength she could possibly muster, she slashed a deep and long cut into the monster until it was basically sliced in half..kind of like a vegetable.

Before she could relax another one came after her and slashed at her from behind- knocking 27 HP from her. To her luck, it was a small one and she was able to kill it quickly with a bunch of slices at her sword.

Damn, I'm not killing as many as the others are..but I'm actually pretty damn surprised I've managed this much..I really need to lighten up. She sighed, trembling slightly as she looked at what rewards she managed to get from that.

And we're still no closer to getting that stupid fruit and that one fruit that got touched is a stupid death trap."

He marched around the forest as the simulated leaf litter made a crunchy sound that reminded him of autumn. He then saw some more wiggling leaves and started kick about five of them as each one of the monsters rose from the ground ready to be minced at.

"Oh! Does anyone need an healing pots? I've still got quite a few on hand." Ryu snapped his fingers, "Also hand over any leaf drops you get, I bet I can make some potions from them. As for the MMO I'd like to do, I heard they finally finished that Masquerade MMO! What with all of the intrigue, it sounds like it could be interesting. Or it'll disappoint, I hope it doesn't." Ryu pauses as he drops to his knees, "THE DEVS KNEW THAT THESE WEREN'T PLANT MONSTERS! BUT THEY LIED!" Ryu began slamming his fist onto the leafy forest floor. "WHY! WHY! WHY!!!!" Ryu glanced at Captain, "Well they smell nice. But I think I can make a buff pot with them... Maybe more healing pots." Ryu shrugged as he glanced around the area searching for more Nepents, "Did it drop yet?" Ryu inquired as he continued looking for more of the strange looking monsters. "If I can't make some nice pots from the leaves, I'm sure we can just vendor them. OH, mailbox!" Ryu opened up the interface, "Viewer XxxDarkfiendx49 asks, "HOW CAN YOU PEOPLE LIVE WITH YOURSELVES, YOU SAW CURRY-MAN DIE!" Ryu glanced at the group, "Uhh... Anyone want to take this question? Or shall I go look for a different mailbox question?"

"Curry man? I'm pretty sure that wasn't his name. Also we didn't know that fruit thing drew aggro we thought it was just a regular drop Res assure we will pay our respects once we learn his name and avenge him and the countless others that have died during this." He said in response to that accusatory question.

He then paused and looked over his shoulder towards Ravita who has been rather quiet since she tagged along with them. "Hey," he said to her, "How it's going so far for you? You've been pretty quiet since the mines and all the way here."

"I'm actually pretty torn up about it, but there was nothing we could do. Maybe we should do something in his honor?" Dave suggested, still fighting the strange plant things, "although its really the devs fault, who the fuck made this game? The devil?"

Ryu boldly raised his right hand into the air, "WE SHALL KILL THE DEVIL IN HIS OWN GAAAAAAAAAME!" Ryu flexed his non-existant muscles as he did a pose as he flexed his right bicep and pointed his left hand to the sky, like he was a Shonen anime hero. "WE HONOR HIS MEMORY BY SLAYING THESE..." Ryu stopped his bold posed as he shrugged, as he rolled back his shoulders and paused. He held his head down, "...plants". Ryu then glanced over his shoulder as he noticed Captain Boulder talking to Ravita. Ryu's face began turning red as he shook his head, "A-anyway... yeah let's avenge..." Charging the boss, Kiki threw a straight punch towards the lizard's head, which was easily dodged. Slashing her in side sent the crowd of reptilians into a frenzy.

HP - [250/300]

Kiki twirled back around into ready position and charged once again towards the lizard, throwing a kick towards its knee with her left leg. Catching her foot, he swiped again at her face and barely missed by inches as she activated
#Side-Step. Re-appearing behind the lizard, she fully extended her leg into the back of the boss, sending it stumbling forward, much to the chagrin of the watching crowd. Time to kick it up a notch. "RRRWWWAAAARGGGHHH!” she growled, sending the monster into a mad tirade. It jumped at her with a clenched fist which she parried by deflecting the blow upwards with the flat of her left palm and #Counter Hay-Maker delivered a solid straight with her right to the lizard's nose.

[Achievement Unlocked: Perfect Parry]

Not giving it a chance to recover, she kneed it in the stomach, drove her right knee into its mouth, threw her left elbow into the side of its head, and smashed a low kick into the thigh of the creature. Barbarously driving her foot into its forehead, she knocked it over flat on its back and began to pound away at it, throwing blow after crushing blow. After the 5th punch, Kiki got up and walked back to her tarting position. She then motioned the creature forward as it gained its composure. It ran towards her and jumped, making a motion to tackle her down to the ground, but she was too fast. She activated another
#Side-Step and appeared behind the lizard once again, this time wrapping an arm around its neck to activate #Suffocate. The crowd of reptiles fell to their knees and roared cries of anguish at their hero seemingly being man-handled by this new incoming intruder.

Just give up. You're more valuable to your people alive then dead. Save yourself and give up. Kiki broke the lock and kicked the lizard forward into the middle of the sparring area. Running solely on its pride, the Lizard ran towards Kiki and tried to strike her again with both arms.

HP - [150/300]

Parrying both blows by letting each hand sink into her raised arms, she activated
#Counter Hay-Maker again, ripping free her right arm and clocking the beast at the base of the jaw. Stunned, the creature's knees buckled and it knelt on the floor dazed, birds running around its head in pre-programmed circles. With fist glowing a powdery blue #HammerFist, she sunk it directly into the crown of the head of the praying lizard. Though she looked calm and composed on the outside, it was at this moment, that Kiki was part of a huge internal struggle. She wanted to beat the lizard senseless, she really did. But the courtesy and respect it showed her, weighed heavy on her mind. Her, an intruder killing its brothers, was shown honor. At that moment, Kiki had to make a choice. Would she let the game change her? Would she be okay with forsaking her own values and morals even though this was "just a game"? Kiki pondered this for a moment as the Boss slowly got to his feet. Breathing out a heavy sigh, Kiki decided that she should not draw it out any longer. She waited for the lizard to attack one more time and activated #Side-Step to get to its back. With an inaudible whisper into the ear of the boss, she wrapped an arm around its neck and #Suffocate strangled it into oblivion.

Watching the grieving reptilians fade away one by one, Kiki thought about how a game could cause her to question herself. How could a game strike so deep and expose her deepest doubts and insecurities?
This is something I'll definitely have to sort out in the near future. I need to -- Her thoughts were interrupted by the completion of the quest. Seely waddled up to her and said:

"Thank you young traveler, this surely wouldn't have been able to happen without you. I can now rest in peace knowing that this place will once again shine with beautiful, flowing rivers, and lush, green grass. I can no longer hear nature crying out in pain. Really now, all I hear is silence. But as the land repairs itself, I know that it will be laughing again soon once more. You have done a great service to me young traveler, and I, as well as this land, will forever be in your debt. Here, take my blessing along with this token of my appreciation, as a reward for helping with the restoration of my land. I pray that it serves you well in your travels ahead. Goodbye KingStrum.

Kiki was immediately transported to the outside entrance of the "Shrouded Bog" area and sniffed at sudden loss of Seely while she flipped through her activity log.

"Hey, How it's going so far for you? You've been pretty quiet since the mines and all the way here." The captain looked over at her and asked. Ravita offered a nervous smile and nodded hastily. "Y-yes sir." said, still in that damned formal voice...she couldn't really help that though, she was trying. "Apologies I'm just quiet towards new people...I guess that ones kind of obvious though~" she said before letting out a nervous and slightly awkward laugh to ease tension that well...wasn't even there.

Figuring that she was making a complete fool of herself, she quickly shut up and regained a monotonous face.
"Thanks though, I promise to do my absolute best!" which in actuality really wasn't much right now but, no sense in saying that much degrading stuff about herself. She heard to her side Inuyasha yelling on about something or another. She looked over to focus on what he was saying.

"WE HONOR HIS MEMORY BY SLAYING THESE..." he began to quiet down suddenly, looking down and red faced. "...plants. A-anyway... yeah let's avenge...Uh, whatever his name was."

She gave a small smile at that idea. Maybe if she was to avenge that poor stranger's death that unlikely double-standard guilt she had would ease away. Thinking she should actually say something, she looked up at the captain and gave it her all: to speak her opinion.
"It is a nice little option~ it'd serve for a little more grinding too, which'll never hurt anybody." well, unless of course that said grinding could kill you but when trying to be persuasive leave out the cons. Then again, she wasn't sure if this group was particularly THAT terrified of the whole death thing this game had to offer.

Kiki sat on a bench outside the town inn, and allowed herself to retreat deep into thought.
I wonder if Seely is okay? Has the region cleared up yet? Are all the reptilians gone? One by one, questions ran through her mind; questions that had no answer. She smiled and shook her head. So this it what it feels like to care for someone...even if it's just a figment of a sick man's imagination. Kiki closed her eyes and took a second to enjoy the world around her. Someone was playing a violin, two players were arguing over an item at a nearby inn, a girl practicing her rapier skills by the far corner of the courtyard. This is life. Movement. People are still living and going on as if everything is hunky-dory. Do they just not care? No, that can't be it. I'm sure they do. Kiki's eyes melted from their ever-present glare, to a more softened look; one of peace and serenity.

Maybe I'll buy a house here somewhere...somewhere by a lake. Yeah. With a big living room where I can run around and practice what I remember from my martial arts classes.... Yeah... I would really like that. Dreaming of what she could possibly do in this world of SAO, Kiki rested her head on the bench and nodded off. Since coming to the world of SAO, this has marked the first time, the first time she's ever been able to let herself take a break.

Waking up with a start, she lazily opened one eyelid and took a look at the world around her. It was night-time, yet people were still out and about across the city, talking, laughing, exploring everything the town had to offer. King got up off the bench and yawned with a stretch of her arms. She was still dead-set on making it out of this world, but there was no reason she couldn't slow down and enjoy herself, even for a bit. A smile spread across her face as one word came to mind: shopping. She pin-pointed the location of the nearest armor shop and in 2 minutes, she was at the door-step. Checking her character details, Kiki realized she couldn't wear armor. Acknowledging the fact that she is better off without it, she walked into the store and nodded at the plump old man sitting behind the cashier's desk.

After a few minutes perusing through the merchandise, Kiki saw something that caught her eye: evolving golden bracers under-layed with black gloves, that extended from her elbow to the tip of each finger. They also had these fascinating orange discs at the top of the item, with white loops of rope attached to the ends. She marked it as a favorite and continued on to see what else she could find. Two more items caught her attention: black tights with a design of flames and bandages at the bottom, complete with a black belt, as well as a top made of alabaster white wrappings.
Very creative! I think I can make something out of this. Looking even further down the aisle, her eyes spotted a white cape lined with flames. This looks like it'll go perfectly with my tights! All I'd have to do is tuck it in and I should be picture-perfect. Oh my god..what is that?? Eyes going dim at the sight of the championship belt, Kiki quickly marked it was a favorite and skipped her way to the cashier. She shook her head. She seemed a little too happy. Shopping. The only thing that could make me happy after hearing I might die.

"So, how much for the set gramps?" She said.

1,050 col Ma'am.

Her voice grew hoarse. "Come again?"

1,050 col Ma'am.

Duh. I heard you the first time. "Why is it so much mister?"

"To be honest, I don't know."

"What?"

"To be honest, I don't know."

Kiki looked dumbfounded. "Yes. Yes. I got that you don't know. I just can't understand why you don't know!"

"I don't know."

Kiki was an intolerant and inflexible person. She did not welcome the confusion and the man's shady answers. She was going to get those items one way or another. Even if it came by force.

"Will you be buying these items Ma'am?" the shopkeeper inquired.

"As soon as you lower the price you half-a-brain," she shot back. In that moment her mind flashed back to what she saw on her character screen before she entered the shop. Looking around to make sure she was the only person in the shop, she entered into Purchase-Negotiation. She began:

"What if I gave you a kiss old man? What would you charge me then?

"950 col."

"I see." Placing both elbows on the counter in front of the man she leaned forward and asked:

You know..you're pretty cute..What if I said I would let you take me on a a date if you lower the price..what would you charge me then?

"800 col.

"I see." Taking another glance around the store-room, Kiki opened her character screen and un-equipped her shirt, revealing a pink bra with daises stitched in, all along the edges.

"And what would you charge me now...?"

Red-faced the keeper coughed into his hand and choked out:

"600 col. Would you be interested in bringing it down any lower?"

Without saying anything, the transaction was completed. Selling her now old beginner's gear, she managed to get herself back 25 col.

Walking out of the shop with her newly acquired gear equipped and ready to go, she finally gave the shopkeeper the answer to his question.

"NO YOU PIG!"
