Lol it's called Dread because it feeds on fear and enjoys inducing panic in its prey before killing them. The best kind of guard dog.

Her connection to the Divine allows her to perceive him. Normally he isn't seen at all by humans. He's not trying to hide himself, it's just that they can't perceive him. Her being an Oracle allows her to see him since he is a divine being.
