Ashley and Mackenzie would move to the doorway of the bedroom, the latter attempting to take the situation more seriously, but it wasn't going well.  She kept at Ashley's side, mostly because Ashley kept her still, and any time she opened her mouth Ashley would turn to give her a stern look, or even go as far as to cover her mouth with her free hand.

It was infuriating to Ashley to have Mac not taking what was happening seriously, and made a mental note to question William on what he'd given her later.   For the moment she stood in the doorway, out of sight from the front door, listening cautiously.  "Hi."  Ashley was looking down the hall, towards the backdoor, calculating how she would get the essentially inebriated Mackenzie to it without drawing attention from the hunter at the front.  "Couldn't help but notice your car out here with an interior coating of blood and guts."  Both women froze, listening, Ashley had been on edge since she'd seen the man, but at the mention of her bloody car it seemed to stir Mackenzie into understanding.  The smaller woman was now standing upright without Ashley having to hold her there, head tilted and concerned.

"Kind of hard to believe whoever was inside got away unscathed...anyone hurt in here?"  "Shit." Ashley would curse and at Mackenzie's confused look she'd lean in to whisper to her.  "The hunters at the meeting were told you were hurt, that's why the came for you at the clinic." As this processed Mackenzie was attempting to get past Ashley, to go and confront the man at the door, she wasn't about to let anyone get hurt on her behalf, not over something like the pack.  Ashley was preventing her from leaving the room, not that it was hard, the injured woman having little to no strength left and with the added injuries, Ashley kept control.  "You're staying here." She'd hiss.

Alex parked her truck outside the walls, her sunglasses firmly in place. She stepped out, gripping a water bottle and a backpack. She stood for a bit, not sure what to do. She needed some more supplies, and this was the closest place to where she was. But an entire town full of hunters made her nervous. Even though she herself was a hunter, she was also a vampire, one of the things that they hunted without question. She took a deep breath and called out. "Hello? I'm here to get some supplies?" She felt rediculous standing outside a wall, yelling to be let in.

William looked the man in the eye as he spoke, stealing the occasional subtle glance past his shoulder to see if others were present. Nothing... nothing that he could see, at any rate. The man didn't look familiar, but he'd hardly been here long enough to memorize each individual Hunter's face.

He resisted the urge to frown at the man's question. This was a roundabout way of probing to see if Mack was hiding inside the house. After their descent on the clinic, he wouldn't have pegged them for this kind of subtlety. Will held a straight face as he shook his head, "Nope, everyone in here is fine. That's not my car. From what I hear, the clinic fixed up the owner."

Chase drew in a heavier breath, on one hand the man could be telling the truth in that it wasn't his car and the owner was at the clinic. But the smell that he was getting through the door accounted for more blood than someone who cut themselves shaving. Followed by more hushed whispers from somewhere in the home, now more clear with an open door but he only caught hunters and clinic. Whilst he tried not to make it obvious that he was focusing on any senses he could never be sure if his facial expressions betrayed him. Joe did always tell him he had a shit poker-face. But, that's why he never played poker in the first place.

This left him with two choices; Push or back-off.

"Fair enough." Another smile flashed across his face, only half genuine due to the fact that he was still suspicious. Chase's left hand reached up to scratch his head while the right landed on his hip, "I"ll uh...stop by the clinic then," He glanced over his shoulder back at the car, "and I'll see about getting it moved and out of your way then. I'm sure it will only take the authorities a few minutes to get it moved." Like he actually knew who he had to talk to for that even if he actually planned to do such a thing, did Vitae actually have authorities?  Chase took a step back towards the stairs as if readying to leave, "I apologize for spooking the other two." It was hard to know if that would poke at anything, not that he was trying or not trying to prod at possible buttons. Backing down made sense because the last thing he wanted to do was get thrown out of Vitae if he was wrong, besides the clinic might hold answers.

Alex was finally allowed through the gate, and when she reached the other side, her knees locked up. The gate shut. Her only escape route. She flipped her hood up and started forward, looking for what she needed. Taking a drink from her water bottle, she leaned against a building. She was starting to relax a bit as she had been there a whole seven minutes, and she hadn't attracted attention to herself. Then, faintly, she smelled blood. Pushing herself off the wall, she followed the smell. It continued to grow stronger until she came across the source. She dropped her water bottle and clamped her hands over her nose and mouth. "Oh, my gosh. What happened?"

The blood filled her senses, causing her to gag slightly. She always hated the smell of blood, now even more so than ever.

Will gave the most tactful and easygoing smile he could manage as the visitor departed. "Thanks for the concern. Take care out there," he called after him before slowly stepping back to shut and lock the door. He stared at the door idly, a frown on his face as he withdrew the pistol from the small of his back and holstered it. A few feet away, Elijah relaxed, letting out a deep breath as he put away the curved knife. "You get a read on any of that?" Will asked him.

Davenport shook his head. "Honestly, I would have expected them to take the more direct approach."

Will nodded. "What was that about the 'authorities'?"

Elijah shrugged. "That was either the most awkward attempt at a probe or the most brilliant."

"You say that like they're mutually exclusive..." Will remarked dryly. "He made a point to let me know he knew how many of us are in here."

Elijah mulled that over. "With any luck he's just a Good Samaritan... though I doubt it. We should stay alert and be careful."

"Agreed," Will said. He turned to quietly call down the corridor to Ash and Mackenzie "All clear for now."

It had taken everything within Ashley to stop Mackenzie from bursting from the room when the man had mentioned removing her car.  She'd not only hauled Mac back into the room, she was forcefully holding a hand against Mackenzie's mouth, harshly whispering threats of physical violence.  Thankfully Will wrapped up the conversation quickly and neatly and when he gave the all clear she'd let Mackenzie go; and she was certainly not disappointed when the smaller woman nearly stomped into the hall way to face William standing by the door.  "You go out there and stop him from moving my car."  She'd state, speech slurred.  "He shouldn't even been looking at my car."  Mac wasn't thinking clearly, even she knew this, but the thought of anyone near her car instilled rage within her.

Ashley was leaving the bedroom to return to the kitchen, wanting that beer she'd been after before, typically she would have attempted to calm Mac down, reassured her that no one was going to touch the car, but at the moment, she simply didn't care.  She'd find the two beers she'd opened just a few minutes ago and collect them, making her way back into the living room.  Once would be set down where Elijah had been sitting before the upset, the other she'd keep, returning to where she'd been sitting.  Despite everything that had occurred she was still angry with her hunting partner.

"You too." Chase spoke back before the door shut, turning around and walking down the steps slowly while letting his ears try to pick up what they could. Not much but a few mutters, words were difficult to make out until a rather loud and slurred one jumped in. Guess I know where the owner is after-all. This was far from over for him. As they say; Once a wolf catches your scent it doesn't lose it. And by they...well, it might just be Chase, but whatever. Pausing at the bottom of the steps he took out his cell, though as he started to call Joe he heard a voice coming from the direction of the vehicle. Oh joy. He'd thought to himself, as he spotted a young girl heaving from what he assumed was the sight of cars interior mid-dial. But the last thing he needed was a civilian getting mixed up in this, and Chase glanced back at the house behind him. More-so at the windows to see if they were watching or had heard out of curiosity, then turned his head back towards the girl and car.

"Yeah, I wouldn't get too close, just don't look." Chase gave her a small smile from across the yard, hiding the small amusement he got.

Elijah grinned at Mackenzie's frenzied outburst, having claimed the beer Ashley set down for him (with thanks in the form of a raised bottle in her direction). He leaned against the far back wall of the room, watching Will expectantly. He was never one to pass up free entertainment. Will, for his part, knew that Mack wasn't in the clearest state of mind at the moment. The drugs were doing the talking. He crossed his arms, shaking his head as he spoke. "You know I can't do that, Mack. It would attract too much attention, assuming it's not just a ploy to get one of us outside in the first place." He gave his best reassuring smile. "Besides, he's not actually going to have it moved. I think he was just trying to kick the hornet's nest and see what came out."

It occurred to him, then, that that analogy was all too fitting for Mackenzie's rage when it came to her vehicle being disturbed. He quickly moved on, attempting to change the subject. "You shouldn't be up, anyway. Go get some rest."

Ashley would smirk, hearing Mac be chastised by William, it was satisfying to listen to, but she'd suppress her laughter, knowing all too well that Mac would turn her rage on her if heard.  She'd shift to tuck her feet beneath her on the couch, taking a long sip of her beer.

Mackenzie clearly hadn't taken kindly to William suggestion of slip, the expression on her face alone would be enough to tell but of course there was no stopping the words. "I'm fine."  She'd very nearly growl, crossing her arms. "No more sleep."  She was shaking her head, "I've slept too much."  Dark eyes would travel, first seeing Eli leaning against the wall, brow would arch but she'd become distracted by the smirk on Ashley's face.  "What are you laughing at?"

Ashley would immediately cringe, she hadn't been stealthy enough, the smile would fade and she'd tilt her head enough to glance at Mac, still standing in the hallway.  She'd consider her options, she could reinforce William, attempt to get Mac to settle and to bed, however on the other hand, in the state of mind Mac was in right now, she would likely get truths from the woman.  "Hey Mac," She'd start cautiously, waiting to see how the drugged woman would react.  "Why don't you tell us more about Borseti?"  Ashley was determined to get her long awaited answers, she'd pat the couch next to her, inviting.

Mackenzie would frown at the question, thoughts diverted.  She'd watch the hand gesture and for a moment didn't understand what was wanted.  It seemed to click and she'd walk-shuffle into the living room, to sit on the couch in the space offered. "What do you want to know?"  Though it was slurred and sounded more "Waddya wan kno?"

As Hypnos made his way back to the house he couldn't help but notice the rather large crowd of angry hunters milling around the general area of the Clinic. " They must be looking for Mackenzie... I need to get back to the house." He muttered as he picked up his pace doing a light jog towards the house. As he rounded a building to see the house he found something rather strange outside the house. While a girl he hadn't seen before was odd it wasn't what Hypnos was worried about. What he was worried about was the Werewolf at the bottom of the steps.  How did it manage to get through his wards? Well Hypnos already knew the answer to that. Hypnos' wards only activated when he wanted them to or when a being has malicious intent. So this werewolves must have not had malicious intent when it entered. Nonetheless the god wanted to make sure of it's intent before talking to the others about it.

His presence heralded by a strong smell of poppies Hypnos approached the Werewolf just outside of the home of his friends. He let out no anger, no ill intent as he approached. In fact he assumed the best of the Werewolf, no this was no beast. This was a man like any other. " Excuse me.... Chase isn't it? Could I talk speak with you for a moment?" Hypnos asked using a little bit of his powers to peak into the man's mind to retrieve a name.

Chase was opening his mouth to ask if she needed any help, watching her heave wasn't the prettiest sight. But not everyone could handle it, that was just a fact. But before he spoke a breeze passed by and he caught a whiff of poppy's once again, same as before. The sound of someone approaching had him turning back to his left and spotting Hypnos just as he started to speak, of course the name drop had thrown Chase off momentarily open-mouthed and trying to reply. To be honest though he was still trying to figure out exactly what the stranger was, though it was obviously not human from the scent. Chase put his phone away and gave quick glances back at the home and the girl by the car as he spoke, "I uh...yeah, I'm Chase. Chase Keaton, and what is it you wanted to talk about Mister...?" Finishing just as he looked back to concentrate on the person in front of him without having a name to finish the question with he left it to be finished by the owner of said name.

"Hypnos. No last name I'm afraid. " the deity approached closer and whispered so that only the Chase could hear him, " I want to discuss why there is a lycanthrope standing outside of the home of my dear friends." Then Hypnos leaned back, his smile ever present, and gestured down the street a bit. This way they could have some privacy and Hypnos could make sure that the crowd of angry hunters didn't break into the house while he was attempting to understand Chase's  situation and the circumstances that lead him to Vitae. Of course Hypnos had no intention of harming Chase in any way, such things were better left to Thanatos, he just wanted to confirm the man's intention. It would be bad if he allowed a scout of the Pack into the colony right after saying he would protect it.

OooohhhChase having a small internal moment of panic at being called out so bluntly. The man hesitantly followed along beside Hypnos, now more on edge than before. Though the man saying that those inside were friends both surprised him and didn't surprise him. "This the part where you lead me down a dark alley or start gathering the men with their silver pitchforks?" It was very dry and dull humor, and it wasn't entirely for humor anyways. But the man was ever-smiling so Chase continued onto answering his question, "I heard there was to be an attack by werewolves," He started while walking alongside Hypnos down the street and looking about at the groups of hunters still milling about. There didn't really seem to be a sense in denying what he was to this...whatever he was. "...and I caught wind of wolf blood. So I investigated, and before you throw me to the wolves.." Oh the accidental irony in that. "I am a hunter, never have I been with a pack nor have I eaten a human heart." Chase assumed this being understood his kind if he was going to call him a Lycanthrope, "And before you ask no, I wasn't bitten. Born, fourth generation. So I have complete control."

He hadn't expected to have to explain himself so quickly after arriving, he'd only been here a few hours and already he was at risk. At one point he stopped and turned to face Hypnos, "Your turn. What are you? Like hell your human and you figured me out instantly."

Hypnos listened to Chase carefully as they walked away from the house. It seemed that Hypnos had unintentionally caused the man to worry. Born a werewolf.... Hypnos had forgotten that Artemis had allowed the werewolves to procreate and spread their curse. Why she allowed such a thing he could only guess was so that the werewolf population could swell and punish the humans for their indiscretion. " No need to worry, if what you say is true then I have no reason to reveal your condition. So long as you present no threat to my friends and the people of this colony I see no reason why we can't be allies." Hypnos said as they walked. Very few things surprise an ancient being such as Hypnos, but Chase's question definitely threw Hypnos for a loop. " I figured just my name would be enough for a hunter such as yourself to figure out what I am, but then again I was a minor god...." Hypnos said muttering that last part to himself before looking Chase in the eye and introducing himself once again, " Allow me to properly introduce myself then. I am Hypnos, Greek god of Sleep, Father of Dreams and Weaver of Nightmares."

William was preparing to make another plea for the obviously inebriated Mackenzie to get to sleep when Ashley spoke up. "Why don't you tell us more about Borseti?" Hendrix froze, waiting for an excuse -- or even an angry retort -- from Mack. Nothing. Instead, he watched silently as she made her way to sit down next to her friend. Elijah's eyes narrowed at the scene as he slowly swallowed his currently mouthful of beer. He traded a knowing glance with Will, a hint of challenge in his eyes. Hendrix knew why... because he imagined he was thinking much the same. There was no way of getting around it Ashley-May was exploiting Mack's altered state of mind to get the answers her friend had denied to her for years.

William clenched his jaw, not sure of how he wanted to approach this. He didn't know if Ashley was acting out of genuine curiosity or spite. If it was the latter, it was his obligation to put a stop to the impromptu interrogation... wasn't it? Then again, he was hardly in any position to intercede in the girls' friendship and personal qualms. And he'd be lying if he wasn't equally curious about what had happened all those years ago. For someone he had just met, he found himself inexplicably wanting to know more about Mackenzie... not to mention the more practical benefits of having a source -- any source -- of information about the enemy on the horizon. Wrapped up in indecision, Will's mouth opened, then closed. He settled for a somewhat disapproving glare in Ashley's direction.

Elijah, having watched the gears turn in his partner's head over the course of those few seconds, cleared his throat. "Are you sure that's wise?" he asked calmly.

Alex waved him off, picking up her dropped water bottle. "I'm fine. Just don't like the smell of blood is all. Just... Is everyone ok? Like, I mean, not dead?" Her first instinct was always the welefare of others. It just came naturally. When another man came up, she took that as a signal to leave. Something about both of them was off, but with the scent of blood overwhelming her senses, she couldn't tell for sure. It was then that she realized that she was lost, and she didn't see where the two went. "Son of a banshee." She shrugged and left in a random direction, whistling Carry on My Wayward Son.

In all honestly, Ashley had never thought Mackenzie would, in any state of mind, be willing to talk about her past.  Any time Ashley had broached the question in the past she'd received some vague answer or was entirely ignored.  The smaller woman was sitting with her, waiting for Ashley's inquiry and she'd suddenly feel guilty.  She knew what she was doing wasn't right, but she steeled herself.  Just as she was going to pose her question Eli spoke up.  "Are you sure that's wise?" Mackenzie's attention was turning, and Ashley knew if she didn't act quickly she'd lose her, she'd reach out and touch Mac's arm.  "What was it like there?"  She'd give a menacing glare to Eli, for his attempt to stop her.

Dazed Mackenzie's dark eyes would turn back to Ashley, she'd shrug and shake head.  "I don't remember much."  This didn't satisfy Ashley, she'd frown, uncertain if it was Mackenzie playing at denial or if the woman truly didn't remember, so she'd press.  "What do you remember?"  She'd sip her beer, before setting it on the table, waiting rather impatiently for answers.

Mackenzie would inhale slowly, seeming to consider before speaking again.  "Death."  Eyes would travel as though she were recalling it, thinking.  "Fire, and screaming.  Fear."  She'd look back to Ashley, cold.  "That's what you want, right?  To know what I was before you?"  At this Ashley paled, she'd glance towards William quickly, wanting to ask the meds and dosage, why hadn't see done so first! But Mackenzie was continuing.  "My last memory of Boresti was listening to everyone around my die or get dragged away in the night.  After that I remember the Den, I remember being locked in a cage with dozens of other children, watching them die around me.  I spent every day thinking I would die."  She would pause as Ashley was watching her again.  "And then I spent every day hoping I would die."  She was angry, beyond anything she'd ever felt before, she didn't want to believe Ashley would do this sort of thing, but it was within Mackenzie's nature to never trust anyone, not wholly.

"Brendan showed up, felt like years."  A cruel smile was crossing her lips. "He thought he could fix us, my brothers and I.  Thought that if we killed the vampires that fed on us for months, our own mother, wed' be happy joyous little kids again and we'd come home to Vitae and live happily ever after.  My brothers couldn't do it.  She was my first kill."  Mackenzie was rising now, steadier than she had been, funny what rage could do, "Satisfied?"  She'd ask Ashley.  "Or do you want to hear more?  What it was like to watch my brothers be turned?  How I survived running from the back after that?  Or is that enough story time for one day?"

Ashley was gaping at Mackenzie, shocked, she hadn't expected what she'd heard, she knew it had been bad, but there was something dark within Mackenzie was was frightening her.  "Enough." She'd say finally, in barely a whisper.  Mackenzie, with the answer she'd wanted, was leaving the living room, down the hall to the other bedroom, where she assumed Ashley had been sleeping the night prior.

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

"I'm no threat to anyone that is not threatening to this colony. Only two people in this colony know what I am, you'd be the third." Chase knew if anyone caught wind that he was a Werewolf he'd have a hard time getting out of here alive. "Your friends? Riiight." Chase let out a sigh, "Look, I don't look into anyone without a reason. You convince me otherwise that they aren't somehow working for the wolves then I have nothing to worry about." The man was constantly watching the vicinity to make sure nobody came within earshot while he was speaking, the last thing he needed was for someone to overhear. "How well do you know them?More than he knows you, probably.

Chase listened to the being, momentarily annoyed at him being full of himself with the fact that someone didn't know who he was until it clicked as Hypnos explained it. "Wait. You're the God of Sleep? That Hypnos?" This was followed by a nervous chuckle as he ran his right hand through his hair, "That...explains a lot actually." It explained the scent of Poppy's, the fact that Hypnos had immediately called him out as being a Werewolf, and how he knew his name.

0d8cabe345d35506169fec17fa6d841c.jpg

Hypnos nodded, " I'm sure it does explain a lot. As for how well I know my friends... well I was with them when they were attacked by the Pack of werewolves that now threatens this colony. One was critical injured, which is why I appeared before them, and only barely survived. I was there to make her last moments peaceful and comfortable, but luckily she's survived. Other than that I've done a little digging within their subconscious mind, as I've done to everyone here. So I've a basic grasp of skills and abilities as well as history. Not a single one of them is helping that pack."  Hypnos explained to Chase as he crossed his hands behind his back. " Now that we understand each other I hope you are able to blend and help humanity as you've been trying. I must go make sure that they are all right." With that Hypnos excused himself stopping momentarily to add, " Just as I won't tell the inhabitants of your origin I would appreciate it if you didn't share what I am either. That is something that will be revealed at the correct time and place. If you would like to come in and meet them by all means feel free to join me."

Hypnos smiled and nodded at Chase before making his way back up the street to arrive at the house. Now that the god was confident that Chase was in fact beneficial to humanity he was a lot more hopeful for the future. A werewolf could be a powerful ally in the coming battles. After a moment of walking Hypnos knocked on the door and waited to be let in. As he waited Hypnos noticed the crowd of angry hunters making their way through the colony looking for the object of their rage. Slowly but surely they were making their way towards the house.

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase felt a little relief in Hypnos' words, that he'd been inside their heads and found nothing. In any normal situation he'd be wary of such a thing, but if Hypnos wasn't who he claimed to be then why wouldn't he just deal with Chase rather than speak to him. He didn't exactly trust the deity yet but there was a sense of understanding that allowed him to be open to it. Trusting someone was one thing but trusting someone with a secret that literally holds your life in their hands...that's a bit different. Chase was more or less surprised to hear that Hypnos hadn't told those in the house who he was, maybe he was waiting for the right moment...who knew. But the deity recalled to them as friends so clearly he had his own reasons.

"I won't tell if you don't." He'd said with more a sly smile, and watched as the deity walked away. Chase had even been invited along, a part of him wanted to leave it where it was. Another part of him just wanted to see those people face to face almost as if to confirm they weren't going to a threat, like he could just tell something like that anyhow. So Chase chose to go after Hypnos rather than head back to the barracks. If nothing else then maybe he'd learn some names and put some of his fears to rest for good. He paused beside and a little behind Hypnos as they waited for someone to answer the door, "This is going to be awkward, you do realize that right?" He'd asked, following Hypnos's gaze towards the group of hunters that had moved closer, having no clue what they were even doing.

William and Elijah had watched, speechless, as Mackenzie spoke. Brendan's speech had made it clear she'd had it rough in years past, but neither man had expected... this. But they both found themselves incapable of looking away or saying a word as she related every little detail.

Will's life may have fallen apart in a single night... but Mackenzie's had been slowly, excruciatingly eviscerated over the course of years when she was still young. He couldn't blame her in that moment for wanting to keep it all a secret. Hendrix rubbed one hand slowly down his face before leaving the room wordlessly, heading into the hallway.

Elijah remained. The beer was set down, all but forgotten. In that moment, he couldn't believe that he'd tried to relate to Mackenzie as a fellow legacy. His upbringing, for all its rocky patches, was nothing compared to hers. He didn't know how she found the strength to function, much less Hunt. Davenport glanced at Ashley. She looked... haunted. The confidence that had marked her expression moments earlier at the prospect of getting answers was gone, her face drained of color. Eli sighed slowly, opening his mouth to speak when he heard a knock at the door. He crossed the room to peek out the window, intent on seeing who their visitors were this time.

Ashley didn't have the will to say anything more, she'd thought, knew she would need to apologize to Mackenzie, beg for forgiveness, but instead she remained shocked into silence by her friend, her partner.

Mackenzie would pause at the doorway to the bedroom, the front door was knocked on again and she'd frown.  Would that hunter return so soon?  She didn't care, she was angry and she wanted to give him a piece of her mind, he'd leave her car alone.  She made her way to the front door, uncaring of whether she was seen or spotted by aggressive hunters, door would be opened and she'd see Hypnos.  Perfect. she'd think, "I need you."  Dark eyes would travel to the hunter behind him, she knew the god wouldn't bring any one or anything threatening to their door step, it would have been pointless to have saved her the night before.

"I want the dream."  She'd continue, not bothering with introductions.  "The one you were offering, the better life."  She knew she wasn't going to get the blissful dead sleep the liquid drugs had provided, these new ones not nearly strong enough to make her forget her pain, physical or otherwise.

imagejpeg

Hypnos could see, no he could feel how disturbed Mackenzie was when she said she wanted the dream he had offered her when she was near death. Hypnos only glanced back at Chase before following Mackenzie deeper into the home. The deity took Mackenzie's hand and he knew immediately what had happened. Becoming very somber Hypnos slipped into his divine role as he had done on her death bed. "If that is what you wish then I can provide that life for you. Before you make such a decision I ask you: let us talk about this further. If what you want is to forget the pain and suffering I can do that for you, but if you want to run away from the pain of this existence  and the suffering of the past then I will give you the dream." Hypnos was very serious about this. He wasn't going to keep her from what she wanted, especially when he had already offered the dream, but he needed to make sure this is what she wanted. Hypnos eyes would wander to the others. The ones who had caused this situation. In his eyes was not anger, but sadness. They could no doubt hear what he had said, and they would have to live with what they had done.  Hypnos locked eyes with Mackenzie once more, "Now.... what is it you desire?"

s03e03_lastship_photo12.jpg

Chase watched the door open, a female he hadn't seen earlier appearing at the door. Guess there was four. When she looked his direction he nearly opened his mouth to explain, but she quickly moved on speaking with Hypnos. Then just like that the two moved through the door and further into the home, Chase quietly entered and shut the door behind him yet didn't stray far from the entrance because he didn't expect to stay long. Catching the looks he was getting from the three he'd spotted earlier it felt like being the new kid in school, but more than that. There was a momentary pause before he spoke, "Our mutual friend there," the man nodded his head towards the direction Hypnos followed Mackenzie before disappearing. "He told me that my suspicions of you all were wrong." Chase started to rub at the back of his head with one hand, a sheepish smile on his face. Yup, awkward. Not only was he admitting that he was wrong but he was doing it to a group of strangers. And Hypnos had all but left him to the wolves so to speak.

The mood felt off, like he'd just walked in during something. "I just got to Vitae today, heard about this big wolf mess going on and saw the car....and from there I might have assumed more than I should have. But in my defense you all gave off suspicious vibes." As if he hadn't, peeping in through a window.  "So I just wanted to apologize, for the uh....intrusion earlier."
