Castiel Novak had worked for the FBI for fifteen years as a profiler, which wasn't as exciting as the television shows made it look. If anything he was a pencil pusher, someone the real agents gave thier paperwork to when they didn't want to do it and definitely not somebody who went in field missions.
Despite this Castiel found himself stood outside a hotel room clumsily jiggling a shiny lockpick in the door lock to try and get it open. Eventually, he was successful and pushed the door open quietly, holdimg his breath until he was sure the coast of clear. This wasn't just any hotel room. This was the hotel room of the imfamous criminals: Dean and Sam Winchester. The list of things they were accused of was endless but for some infuriating reason nobody had been able to gather enough evidence to take them to court.
That wad where Castiel came in. He was charged with getting into thier hotel room and finding any and all incriminating evidence that may be there. This was the first search of thier residence that had taken place and originally James Shepard was supposed to be the one investigating but he had broken his leg playing soccer. Somehow, the job had landed on Castiel's desk so there he was with his arse on the line searching through the books on the table. All of them features strange stories of demons and witches and a myriad of other strange creatures that only existed in fairytales. The books were wierd but not enough to arrest the brothers.
Suddenly, there were voices outisde the door that got louder as the speakers approached the door. They could have juat been walking past but Castiel wasn't about to take the risk so dived under bed. He curled his legs up and waited with his heart in this throat as the door swung open and two sets of boot walked in...
