Scoffing softly, Mythra kept her gaze averted as Pit complimented her singing. It was embarrassing and she wasn't even sure where it had even come from. The words had simply come to mind and from there, the feeling to byyelt them out overcame her. It was all so strange, yet she hated it. She couldn't believe she had let herself go so easily, especially when her reasoning for coming out had been entirely different. The longer she was forced to stay out and take the praise from the others, the more flustered she could feel herself becoming, even to the point that her cheeks reddened both in frustration and embarrassment.
Pushing it aside, Mythra gave a roll of her eyes before finally waving off the praises. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever," she responded bluntly. Allowing herself to glance towards the Lapras, she admittedly found it cute that it seemed to have enjoyed her performance, but she'd never say that out loud. The others didn't need to know she felt such a way. However, Pyra seemed amused with it all. Hearing her other half giggle softly was enough to cause the aegis to shake her head in annoyance.
What's so funny, Pyra? Do you find amusement in my pain? Is that what this is? she questioned. Her harsh words were only met by continuous laughter from the redhead. That only made the situation feel even worse. Huffing under her breath, Mythra crossed her arms over her chest, which finally caused Pyra to speak up. That was really nice you know. I've never seen you do anything like that and look how happy everyone is because of it! Pyra responded, ignoring the harsh questions that had been thrown her way. And you clearly are too hard headed to admit you enjoy all this. It's all so funny. She should have expected as much from the fire aegis, yet Mythra could find no words for it. Instead, she chose to leave it be and leave Pyra without any response. At this point, feeding the other fuel against her would only end poorly. She knew better.
With all that behind her, the blonde lifted her attention towards the others as they began to get ready to go off to sea. Sighing softly, she figured she should do the same. Moving over to Lapras, she hesitated for a moment to climb on its back. While there was no issue of space or anything of the like, the creature was still different from the usual ways she traveled across the sea. However, she hardly had time to debate it. With everyone ready to leave, she had little choice. Putting aside her concerns, Mythra climbed up onto the water pokemon's back and made herself comfort near its backend, facing away from her companions.
As they set sail, she stayed silent, allowing her eyes to trace over the ripples of the waves. A sea like this was different from the cloud one that surrounded Alrest after all. Dipping her fingers into the water, Mythra would remain like that as they traveled on, finding very little reason to interact with the others.
However, that all changed as a storm seemed to kick up out of nowhere. Eyes widening in surprise, the aegis felt herself jolted about as their steady ride quickly became rough. Wrapping her arms tightly around one of the spikes on Lapras's back, Mythra tried to steady herself, but it was no use. The waves were too rough and cyclones had begun to form to make it even worse. In a way it felt similar to when they had tried to approach the World Tree by ship, but were attacked by Ophion. That wasn't the cause this time, right? No, she doubted it. If Ophion had been near, she would have known. Besides, this wasn't the Cloud Sea.
While her mind was momentarily distracted, she hadn't noticed Lapras's intentions, nor did she have much time to prepare for the pokemon's dive underwater. Gasping in surprise was all she managed to do before she was submerged beneath the waves with the others onboard. Squeezing her eyes shut and holding her breath, her mind began to race. Despite being basically a "child of god" she could hold her breath under water for too long. Sure, it wouldn't kill her due to her status as a blade, but she could still pass out if she didn't return to the surface to breathe.
She was stuck with two options; hold on and hope for the best or let go and fend for herself. Was the latter even possible? She wasn't made to be at sea, nor deal with a storm. That made her answer clear. Mythra's hold on Lapras tightened even more, deciding to put her trust in the creature. She could only hope that such trust wouldn't be misplaced.
