Silently, Ren took in the information about General Mugorl. It was much, but it was enough to give him a good idea of what they might be up against. His appearance hardly worried him. Even if he was at a great disadvantage size wise, Joker had always found ways to win. Besides, he had fought plenty of shadows and even gods who outclassed him in more than that and he still had made his skillset work. Despite the confidence he found in himself though, it did concern him that this opponent had bested other tribes and likely had them at his command. Numbers were the one thing that could easily wear at his own stamina. Even so, he didn't plan to be bested and let some pig man possibly take pride in wearing something off his dead corpse.

"The east, huh..." he mused. No wonder Futaba had sent them in the opposite direction then. Even if she didn't know what such a location was, it was likely easy for her to get some quick reading off it and know it was dangerous. Whether it was enemy readings or traces of the magic used to erect such a place hardly mattered. What did was his navigator had not only plotted them the fastest route, but likely the safest, if it could even be called that. He doubt safety would be easy to come by in this place. Nevertheless, he pushed the thought on and continued to speak: "Well, hopefully that means we're less likely to run into him. Oracle has us going west over the waters that wait there."

While he did have his own reservations of traveling over the sea in comparison to land, he kept them to himself. He would figure it all out once that got that far. For now though, they had other things they needed to focus on. Getting Nurse Joy to the safety of a Pokemon Center was first and foremost. Postwick was far from where they were. Ren turned his head westward and could see the windmills in the distance standing tall over the rather gloomy surroundings. To say this place had seen better days was an understatement. Even he could tell that though he had hardly traversed these grounds prior to his arrival this time around.

His lips pursed in discontent as gray orbs steadily gazed out from behind his glasses. To think things had come to this was deeply saddening to the thief. Hearing the nurse's words did little to put his concerns at ease, though he did his best not to let his own discomfort show all too much. In times like this, the last thing a group could afford was to have their leader losing heart and lacking hope in finding a way through their situation. Fortunately for his allies, he was far too stubborn to succumb to such emotions. Even if he tried to shy away from them, he always came back around to them sooner rather than later. Besides, he had seen worse sights, and even felt worse things in regards to himself. It wouldn't be the end of the world.

Remaining quiet, he continued to look out at the pokemon that roamed about. While he had little knowledge of their creatures, their dull stares were enough to force Ren to avert his gaze. As he did, the sight of an odd looking pig caught his attention and his eyes briefly followed it until Paula spoke up. Oddly, she seemed to know what the creature was, and even assumed it belonged to the village. He supposed that made sense given the direction it had come from. That aside, the suggestion itself wasn't one he was against per se, yet if they stopped for every little problem they came across then they would make little progress forward. However, maybe saving the pig would get the cooperation of someone within the village, and allow them easy passage to the Center. It was hopeful thinking yet it was possible.

Nodding after a moment, Joker turned on his heels in the direction the Lechonk had gone and he began to trot after it, though it seemed they hadn't been the only ones in pursuit of the creature. His eyes immediately moved to the moblins that had arrived ahead of him and his brows furrowed while his shoulders tensed. They fit the description Joy had given him earlier, though neither seemed to be the General himself. If anything they were ordinary guards or even soldiers. That was both a good and bad thing. It meant they weren't a major threat, but they were still a problem, and sooner or later they would need to be dealt with if they lingered these areas too long. It also meant the pig was a risky gander.

That thought went quickly out the window. As soon as the first moblin spoke, Ren blinked in surprise, thinking they had noticed him and still known who he was, but as he looked past the pair he realized it wasn't him or Inkling that they were referring to. No, they weren't the only Smash Brothers in the area anymore. Was it a stroke of luck? Joker wasn't sure. He was glad they weren't alone, though the problems that arose grew bigger with more present. No drawing attention was out the window now.

Sighing softly through thinly pressed lips, he quickly assessed the group ahead. There was the swordsmen, Ike, whose burly stature was hard to overlook, especially in comparison to his current company. Then there was Mewtwo and his alien-esque appearance. It was hard to mistake him for another pokemon. Next to him was the spunkiest of the princesses in their numbers: Daisy. Her tomboyish nature had always demanded to have the spotlight on her, though admittedly, Ren hardly wanted to look and get on her bad side. And finally, there was the one who proudly held the Lechonk over his head: the cartoony Hylian, Toon Link. Their group was somehow more ragtag than the likes of his own, though the Hylian's company among them did beg the question of how he had gotten here. The poem had placed him elsewhere, and in different company. As much as he wanted to ask, he knew now wasn't the time nor place.

Hearing the second moblin speak up, Joker felt his eyes grow wide. His suggestion was exactly what they did not need at this moment. He couldn't stand by and let them gather reinforcements from the very being they needed to avoid. Gritting his teeth, a soft growl rumbled in the back of his throat. None of this was going as he hoped! So much for his own cover.

Promptly, he moved a hand up to his face and grabbed the corner of his glasses before pulling them off with a soft utterance of Arsene's name. Blue flames danced around him and burned away the eyewear in his hand until his persona took form once again. Joker's gaze quickly moved to him and he pointed in the direction the pair had taken off in, figuring Arsene could swiftly apprehend them.

"Catch them. We can't have them alerting their General... not with what happened to the Stadium. He'll kill us on the spot."

Arsene gave a curt nod before he gave a powerful flap of his wings and took off in pursuit of the moblins. Hopefully he would be enough, though he knew his other self would only chase them so far before returning to him.

"Ren, should I send Carmen too?" Ann spoke up as she finally caught up to him and watched as his persona took off.

"No. Arsene alone will draw too much attention. Sending a second persona out will only make things worse," he murmured lowly before he turned his attention back to the quartet that stood across from them. "Besides, we have guests."

A soft huh slipped from the depths of Ann's throat before she turned to follow Ren's gaze and noticed the group. Her eyes lit up and a smile immediately crossed her lips. "Oh my gosh! It's more of the Smash Bros! This is...."

Her voice trailed off as she noticed the expression upon her boyfriend's face. It was rather stoic given the company they now stood in. Did he feel intimidated? No, that wasn't it, far from it actually. There was a hint of concern that lingered in his eyes. No surprise. It likely had to do with him sending Arsene out, though she didn't dare question the specifics of it all. Concern wasn't the only hint of emotion hidden in his gray orbs after all. Irritation was present too. She could only imagine he was mildly upset his cover wasn't going to hold, though he didn't need to worry over such things. They had more firepower now! He didn't need to continue to burden himself with everything.

Giving his shoulder a gentle squeeze, she offered him a sweet smile before walking past him all while listening to Prompto speak up. She shook her head at his claims before she stopped in front of the Hylian and crouched down to his height. "Good job catching this little guy for us. That spares Ren, uh, I mean Joker the embarrassment of trying to do it."

Ren huffed at those words and crossed his arms over his chest. Deciding to ignore Ann's quip, he chose to speak on other matters: "As nice as it is to see all of you, we shouldn't linger here. It's best we take that pig back to where it belongs and see if they'll briefly shelter us. We can talk then."

Banking on the hospitality of the Lechonk's owner wasn't ideal, but given he didn't know if Arsene would catch the moblins, it would be wise to take shelter to allow them to get reacquainted with each other. They still needed an in to Postwick after all. Without another word, Ren turned back in the direction of the farmlands and began moving. The faster they got this done, the better, and the less likely they were to be caught in the process.

Ann watched him for a moment before standing back up to her full height and sparing a glance towards the others behind Toon Link. "I promise he's glad to see you all. He's just feeling stressed is all."

It wasn't much that she could offer them, but she could only hope they could understand. She was sure they all had had their own share of issues since returning to the realm as well and could understand the stress he was currently under even if they weren't aware of what exactly had happened.

Deep within Sephiroth's mind, a voice stirred—a familiar and alien resonance that called to him like a whisper carried on the wind. It wasn’t intrusive, but rather an ethereal pulse, an anchor that tugged at the edges of his consciousness. It was Jenova. Despite her weakened state, her presence was undeniable, like a faint star glimmering in the vast expanse of his mind.

The air around Sephiroth grew unnaturally still as the whisper turned to a soft, melodic hum, resonating not through his ears but through his very being. F-Zero_-_Captain_Falcon_as_seen_in_F-Zero_GX_and_F-Zero_AX (1).pngCaptain Falcon’s eyes narrowed as the Malboro continued to thrash and unleash its toxic breath, the air thick with nausea and despair. His instincts were on high alert, every muscle tensed, prepared for the next move. The mist and the oppressive stench filled his lungs, but his resolve was unwavering. He couldn’t afford to falter now, not when so many depended on him.

But the voices—those wretched, insidious whispers—cut through the air, invading his mind with their venomous words. "It's useless to keep fighting…"

He clenched his fists, trying to shake off the doubts creeping in. "What is the point? It will all be dead and dust eventually..."

The voices grew louder, the whispers twisting into something more familiar, more sinister.

“You cannot leave! You can never leave! Why should you dare to leave when we cannot!”

The Malboro’s breath filled the air again, and despite the monstrous weight of despair, Captain Falcon refused to be consumed by it. He turned, finding Shadow beside him, facing the same enemy, the same torment. And then he heard it—the faint, distant plea of Odessa’s voice, her words piercing through the chaos.

“Fool man... the ribbon... You must... activate its magic!”

Captain Falcon’s gaze shifted to the ribbon, glowing faintly, the magic within it undeniable. He didn’t need any more convincing. He could feel its energy—he could feel it in his very bones. This was it. He was done listening to the whispers.

He gripped the ribbon, feeling its power surge through him like a bolt of lightning. A sudden clarity washed over him, his mind free of the poison the voices had tried to inject. He felt the grip of despair loosening, and his heart surged with new strength.

No. Captain Falcon’s voice rang out, unwavering, cutting through the despair like a blade. “I won’t let you win. Not this time!”

He stepped forward, his eyes blazing with the fire of determination. “I’ve been through hell before, and I’m still standing! No matter what you throw at me, I’m not backing down!”

With a final roar, Captain Falcon charged at the Malboro, using the power of the ribbon to fuel his next move. FALCON PUNCH! he bellowed, his fist erupting in fiery energy. He aimed the devastating blow directly at the Malboro’s exposed body, determined to end this nightmare.

He wasn’t alone in this fight. His resolve was a reflection of the strength and camaraderie he shared with his friends. They would not fall. Not today.

As Jenova’s voice reverberated through his body and mind, Sephiroth maintained his calm, poised manner.” Mother,” His voice above a whisper, keeping his tone respectful.“ That power could also be the answer to keep them from neutralizing me anymore.” That was a very unpleasant experience for him. Still is unpleasant to handle his disabilities, yet it might be a cautionary tale to push the plan forward. He has a reason to believe those abominations are just fodder for his caliber. Years of his experience on the field gave him insight to expect anything, maintain a calculating mind while preserving his calm and sharp capabilities. Now, suspecting there’s something darker in the shadows waiting for him. Those bastards did their homework instead of the usual run of the mill fools who soon fell under his masamune. Spreading his one wing, Jenova’s calm words held a gentleness yet her tone brought a single truth, snapping him to the reality he had so treaded away from.

Although, it’s a vague feeling he could feel the planet’s essence hitting his six senses. If it’s like the life stream that makes up Gaia’s energy source, the life blood of the planet it may be the edge needed to restore his mother’s power, help regain control over the clones and the answer to fine tuning his abilities beyond anyone’s understanding. “ I feel its power pulling me north of the smash realm, mmmm..” He took off in such great speed, sensing the power guiding him far north. The power creeping up over his core drew his attention. He paused mid air, scanning for a way in, his serpentine eyes hooded. “ Mmm,” He kept an eye out for a way possible way in a step forward in their plan to progress with his mother restoring control over the clones as it should be under her power.

Shadow was using both the chaos energy from himself and the power of the ribbon to fight off the evil spirits. He saw that Captain Falcon was doing the same.
He had more will then he had. Just like Sonic...
He had to help his allies. A red aura surounded him. Shadow focused the Chaos energy within himself. The ribbon's power emplied it,as uf he was harnessing the power of the Chaos emeralds. He dashes toward the Malboro.
"Chaos...control!"
Shadow vanishes only to reappear behind the monster. Shadow was levatating and glowing red.

"This is the end for you monster." He hissed. Chaos....Blast!!!"
Shadow unleashes a powerful red energy pulse from his bring, which was unleashed toward the Malboro.

Cream,Cheese and Mog watched the fight. "Mr Shadow..." said a worried Cream.
Shadow landed on thr ground, abit injured but still standing.

As Cyan paced with visible frustration, Peregrine watched him carefully, his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. Finally, he spoke, his voice calm but tinged with determination.

“Cyan, don’t sell yourself short. You’ve already proven more than capable, but I understand your frustration. The truth is, we’re up against a system that thrives on strength, both physical and political. If we’re to succeed, we need to be both patient and calculated. Let’s see what options unfold—sometimes even in defeat, there’s opportunity.”

In the grand hall of the Apotheon, Zalunbar summoned the defeated Legionnaire, his tone sharp with disappointment. "I am told you were bested by an outsider. Explain this failure."

The Legionnaire bowed low, his expression resolute. "My lord, the swordsman fought with exceptional skill and precision. His strikes... they managed to break my armor."

Zalunbar's gaze narrowed, the words striking a chord of disbelief. "Impossible," he murmured, stepping forward. "Darknut armor does not yield."

The Legionnaire nodded solemnly. "Yet his blade pierced it. No mere warrior could achieve such a feat."

Intrigued, Zalunbar paused, his mind alight with possibilities. A faint, calculating smile crossed his face. "So, this Cyan possesses strength that defies logic. Perhaps his worth extends beyond idle claims."

Turning to the Legionnaire, Zalunbar continued, his voice now tinged with cunning.
He stepped forward, his golden-plated armor catching the torchlight as a sly smile curved his lips. “I want to see this for myself. Take Cyan on a tour of our city—show him the strength of the Legion, the discipline of its warriors. Let him glimpse what true power is.”

Zalunbar gestured to the Legionnaire, his tone commanding. “When you are done, bring him to the training grounds. I will observe his capabilities personally. If he is as extraordinary as you claim, then perhaps he will prove himself a worthy pawn.”

The Legionnaire bowed, understanding the weight of the order. As he departed, Zalunbar returned to his throne, already considering how to exploit Cyan’s apparent strength. A man who could shatter the unshatterable could be both an asset and a threat—and Zalunbar intended to know which before the day was done.

Odessa gasped softly in surprise as the darkness lifted from her eyes and feeling returned to her numbed body, both a blessing and a curse as she can move again, but once more felt how bruised and battered she was. Trying to force her discomfort aside, she used her staff to push herself onto her feet. After taking a moment to make sure Cream was unharmed, the priestess turned her attention to the Malboro.

Shadow had used Chaos Control to teleport himself behind the Malboro. The black hedgehog unleashed powerful destructive energies at the monster, engulfing it as its shrieks pierced the air.

"So that is Chaos energy," Odessa muttered to herself, watching in horrified fascination.

The Malboro collasped into the lake, toothy maw gasping painfully. The Chaos Blast had torn apart its body, leaving it eye- and tendril-less, a wretched thing. It did not have to suffer long. With a roar as mighty as his fists, Captain Falcon annihilated what remained of the creature with a devastating Falcon Punch! A blinding flash of light, flames, and Chaos energy filled the Sorrowfen, and Odessa was forced to cover her eyes!

The light eventually faded, and when sight returned to Odessa's eyes she saw herself staring at nothing, nothing but still grey waters. The world had gone silent, the combined might of Chaos Blast and Falcon Punch had destroyed everything that the Malboro was. Even the toxins in the air from the Malboro's Bad Breath had been burned away. The twisted souls of those who had sunk into their despair were nowhere to be seen. The Sorrowfen was as still and quiet as death.

Wait!

Odessa's eyes squinted as she caught something floating above the lake where the Malboro once stood, its light almost obscured by the mists. It was a grey asymmetrical crystal shard! The priestess's eyes widened. She must get to it! Yet, Odessa did not dare step foot into the lake waters. The Souls of Despair may still be lurking below, waiting. It would be the work of a moment to ask Shadow or Mog to retrieve the crystal, but then it would be a monumental task to get it into her own possession. Odessa realized she had little choice and remained where she was, deciding to observe the group and allow them to decide on what to do.

Should anyone approach the floating crystal and touch it, they will find themselves bombarded with intense feelings of sorrow and hopelessness, so strong that it threatened to consume them entirely mind, body, and soul! Not even the Ribbon's enchantment can provide any protection! It was as though the crystal was refusing to be claimed and put up one final act of resistance. Will the strength and willpower of the Super Smash Brothers be enough to defeat Sorrow once and for all?

When he finally caught up to the group,he noticed newcomers.

He was howrever happy to see that Prompto was alright. He was with obe of the newvomers, a familiar figure dressed in green and holding a small pig.
"Noct, glad you joined us! I just wanted to save that little pig pokemon. Well,Link here did all the work..."

"It's alright Prompto. Next time, don't go running off in unknown territories on your own." Noctis replied.
"Well,I'll be careful next time." Then Joker suggested to bring back the pig to his owners and see if they shelther them. They both followed Ren toward their next destination. While walking Noctis went to talk with Ann. "Sorry to ask, those other guys that we just met, they're from Joker's Smash Bros ...group...as well?" he asked.

A strange crystal appeared. "Kupo...is this crystal important?" Mog cried as he was about to fly toward it.
Shadow turned his attention toward the crystal as Mog mentioned it.

F-Zero_-_Captain_Falcon_as_seen_in_F-Zero_GX_and_F-Zero_AX (1).pngCaptain Falcon stood at the edge of the now-still lake, his breath steadying after the fiery finish to the Malboro. His fist, still faintly glowing with the aftereffects of his Falcon Punch, lowered as he took in the eerie quiet. The swamp’s oppressive energy had lifted, yet the stillness felt unnatural—a hollow kind of victory.

His eyes narrowed as they locked onto the faint glow in the mist, the strange crystal shard hovering just above the water's surface. Something about it immediately set his instincts on edge. It wasn’t just the way it seemed to defy the swamp’s gloom, but the oppressive weight it emanated. Even from a distance, it clawed at the edges of his mind, whispering faint traces of sorrow and regret.

“...That thing’s no ordinary trinket,” Falcon muttered, his voice low but carrying an uncharacteristic gravity. His scarf, now tattered and singed, fluttered slightly as he stepped closer to the water’s edge. He glanced back at Mog and Shadow, catching the caution in Shadow’s words.

“He’s right,” Falcon said, his tone firm. “Whatever that crystal is, it’s no prize to be snatched up on a whim. It’s giving off... something. Something heavy.”

For a moment, his gaze flickered to Odessa, who leaned on her staff, her sharp eyes trained on the crystal. He couldn’t tell if it was desperation or fascination that gleamed in them, but it didn’t matter. Falcon had already made his decision.

Turning back to the glowing shard, he took a deep breath, steadying himself. “This thing’s tied to everything we’ve been through here,” he said aloud, as much to himself as to the others. “The vines, the souls, that oversized stink plant—it’s all connected to that. And if we leave it here, it’s only a matter of time before it all starts up again.”

He flexed his fingers, feeling the weight of the task ahead. “But I’m not gonna lie to you—whatever’s in there, it’s not going to go quietly. I can feel it.” His voice softened, though his resolve remained unshaken. “I’ve faced a lot of tough fights. Races where I had to bet it all just to make it to the finish line. But this... this is something else.”

Falcon looked to Shadow, Mog, and the others, his usual bravado tempered with a rare sincerity. “I’m going in. I won't ask any of you to follow me, and I won't stop you do. I just wanted to let you guys know I'm proud of all of you. Even you, magic lady. I won't blame any of if you decide not to take the last leap to save the day, because this leap might not end well for some, if any, of us. I gave my word to those guys we'd help them, despite their... Inhospitality. And I couldn't call myself a man if I didn't follow through on a promise. I'm saying all this to get off my chest in the event I have to wing it alone and that way, I won't have any regrets when I jump in.”

Shadow looked toward the crystal. Falcon listened to his warning. He even theorised that this crystal was giving something.

What the Captain said next ,that the souls, vines and the plant were all connected to this crystal. "You're right Captain, this rock, might be the force behind all of that."
The captain was right. As Shadow stared toward the crystal, memories that were supposed to be erased somewhat came back. It seemed it was in a situation like that before...only it was a scepter instead of a crystal...a scepter containing...a dark entity....Mephiles the Dark...wait? What was that all about? He accidently released him...wait...could this crystal...contain Mephiles...wait who? Did it really happen?

Shadow put an hand on his head, groaning. Maybe it was that gem.

"Mr Shadow!" cried a worried Cream. Shadow stood up againand looked toward the young rabbit. "I'm fine. The forces coming from that gem must be toying with my mind again."

"What shall we do Kupo?! We still need to destroy that dark crystal!" Mog cried. As if to answer's Mog question,Captain Falcon stepped up. He was going in.

Shadow made a small smile. "I promised Maria that would protect the innocent. That includes other worlds too." He stepped up as well. "I'm going in as well, and this time...I won't be holding back."He removed the golden bracer rings around his ankles and wrists. He was ready to unleash his full power. His eyes and part of his quills and fur glew red.

"Wait, wait wait!!! You'll need my help as well Kupo! My dances will help you win the fight Kupo!" Mog said. "I'm not scared!"

"Cheese and I can help too!" Cream asked.
"It's better if stay and look after the priestest Kupo!" Mog said.
"He's right,it might be dangerous for you." Shadow replied.

"Fine." Cream said."Though I'll still be helping you if you are in a pinch!" Her expresion showed detemination.
Shadow sighed and looked toward Falcon. "We won't stop the little one I suppose."

Paula is about to tap into her PSI to drive the moblins away; fortunately, Joker’s persona chased them away. The tension in her muscles waned as the rush of her psychic energy did. So, that takes care of the situation with little trouble. She raised her eyebrow, having not noticed Prompto ran off; at least he’s safe from harm, so is the little pig. Having noticed the boy carrying the Le Chonk, clad in a green tunic, perhaps he might be one of the Links in the aforementioned poem that Nurse Joy presented them with.

She noticed the other newcomer accompanying the boy; the lady must be born of noble blood. Her attention went to Ann next; like Noctis, she’s curious if those people were a part of Joker’s group they just met. She’s about to ask Ann; instead, her attention went to the powerful aura radiating off of Toon Link. What was her psychic power picked up? It feels so strong like it’s enveloping her core. She had questions of what the power is. Shaking her head, giving the Le Chonk a quick, gentle rub between its ears.

She moved over to join Anne and Noctis curious herself of Joker’s group. “ I’m wondering the same if you know these guys we just met?” Paula smiles, quite curious about Ren and Ann, maybe a way to know more of their group mates. The strange rush of energy waned, leaving her muscles to relax as her six senses quieted down.

It wasn't before long that Daisy felt her pleasant stroll halted by a sudden distraction courtesy of her ally in Toon Link. Somehow through that entire time, the lady in yellow that Daisy was carried that same enthusiasm to kick Lunaris' teeth in one of her heels, that she had right when she had announced the rallying speech to her assorted cast of allies back at the Northern Coastline. She was definitely overestimating the opposition here, but it wasn't as if she was going to just let the idea of herself - or anybody else affiliated with her - to get arrested or worse just because of the nonsensical ramblings of some magician. She was more than willing to put up a fight, perhaps even itching to get herself into one, as if there was something she just wanted to let out ever since her initial adrenaline of putting the hurt onto some Koopas and Goombas.

She stopped, watching the sudden sneak attack between Toon Link and what seemed to be some strange piglike creature. Her general knowledge of Pokémon was still pretty minimal, but it didn't take a genius to know that Daisy was surprised - and impressed - by Toon Link's quick reactions to corner and catch the Lechonk, let alone the fact that this kid was strong enough to lift it above his head. What was more enticing however, was the idea of a potential meal with that pig as the main course... maybe she was the only one among the group at the time who didn't put two and two together, realizing the origins of where the Pokémon came from.

But before she could entice the idea of 'Cooked pork, anyone?', it was a sweet relief for the Lechonk's sake that a dumbfounded duo of Moblins interrupted what short-lived victory the group had achieved. They lifted their spears up in defense, only for Daisy's eyes to gleam. These Moblins were ready for a tussle, and luckily Daisy wanted to blow off some steam. Or so she thought.

Unexpectedly they turned around, announcing their departure and their plan to report to their superior. Cowardice. Just as Daisy was preparing herself with a gentle tug of her gloves, her face turned for surprise... to disappointment... to a fiery passion.

"HEY! Come back here, buster, and put up your dukes! What, afraid of a cute Princess?! Or are you scared of a four on two battle?"

Sadly, it was too late as the Moblins were already too far away to care about what she had said. All she could do was cross her arms in annoyance and watch as they ran away... and for another strange but familiar figure to chase them. One from another competitor she recalled battling and losing against in the Tournament. Huh.

Quickly, the Princess turned back around to the group to notice that their numbers had grown considerably, and rapidly at that! What was a group of four seemed to double in an instant in Daisy's eyes, blinking in surprise before smiling. She didn't recognize any of the five who had approached them, with the obvious exception of Joker, a previous opponent. So of course, she addressed him directly.

"I didn't expect to see you of all people here, but it's great to see a familiar face! I still remember when you kicked my butt in the Tournament... I don't hold grudges, but do I wanna go against you some other day - it was too much fun." Daisy responded, giggling at the thought before looking over to Panther, the blonde-haired woman clad in a skin-tight cat-like ensemble, and performing a nice little curtsey before the Princess approached her, getting close and offering her hand to shake. "Looks like you've brought yourself new company as well! Hi! I'm Daisy, Princess of Sarasaland! Pleased to meet you!"

Despite clearly looking like a Princess, Daisy did appear a little more laid back - and eager to battle - than what one would expect from a lady like her, especially compared to her best friend in Peach Toadstool. Perhaps it was just the result of the previous Smash Tournament giving her an excuse to cut loose with familiar faces. Perhaps it was just this adventure she was thrust into. Either way, she still tried to show respect, but she took this as an opportunity just to have some fun without others breathing down her neck, even as the responsibility of saving the world tried to weigh itself onto the puffy shoulders of her gown.

"So you're all here to help save this Realm as well? The talk about all of the Pillars, this strange Lunaris creep, and whatnot? Either way, happy to see you all come aboard! We were just going to... wait, what were we planning on doing again? Something with that pig, right?"

In a bit of a fumble, she turned her head over to Toon Link, scratching her head gently in confusion. The sudden rush of events got the better of her, and she was left unaware of the fact that they were heading into farmland to return the lost Lechonk.

Cyan had paused his pacing; his anxiety was just his insecurities speaking. “I suppose you're right; I should look at my victory as it opened a gateway to vast opportunities.” He smiles at his sword, proud of his achievements; it's Elayne and Owain whose unyielding love for him pushed him to victory. It’s his years of training as Doma’s retainer.

When Peregrine spoke of the system thriving on strength—both physical and political—adding patience and maintaining a calculated disposition will yield favorable results.

There are truths behind Peregrine’s words, heavy with meaning. “I don’t disagree, Peregrine; patience and calculation are what will serve us better. I see a window of options in front of us.” He nods, his mind going elsewhere.

When he first set foot into the Legionnaire stronghold, it was like being in another world. The militaristic airs drew him in, almost striking and awe inspiring. He maintained a respectful distance as they were doing their jobs, yet Cyan couldn’t help but admire the discipline and the strength of the Dark Nut.

Yet, feeling pumped by their swords clashing against one another, their unyielding wills left a sense of thrill for how long Cyan yearned for a warrior to test his strength and mettle.

It came from a Dark Nut; unexpectedly, he achieved his victory, as no one else had the prowess to face a Dark Nut headlong like him, yet Cyan felt the warrior’s formidable energy was still lingering within his body, keeping him on his toes. He breathes through his nose as he fingers his sword.

Thank you, Elayne. Thank you, my son; he knows now he can put his anguish to rest. He’s looking forward to the opportunities that may lie ahead, trusting in Peregrine’s words; there’s wisdom to them. Now, he feels much more confident they could sway the legionnaires opinion to their favor. He took to sheathing his sword, sitting on the opulent flooring, cross-legged.

Noctis quickly turned his toward one of the newcomers. She was quite cheerful indeed. She introduced herself as Princess Daisy of Sarasaland.
"Sounds'like I'm not the only royalty here...though I don't care much about royalty. " Noctis replied, abit annoyed to mention about his royal status.
"I'm Noctis Lucis Caelum,Prince of Lucis." he added.

"My buddy Noct is not acting much royalty. He much laybacked. " Prompto added.
"Prompto! Well,I guess you're right." Noctis added. "Should we call you your highness or just Daisy?" Noctis asked. "I don't like being called "your highness" much.
They listened to Daisy's conversation. " You bet we're here to save this realm!" Prompto prounfly replied.
"Lunatis and the pillars...are you talking about that prophecy? Yeah me and my new buds just read about it. I was part of a prophecy back in my world so I know what it's like...you know...when everyone depends on you." Noctis said to Daisy.

" But first we fo need to bring back this little guy to his owners." Prompto said before to pat the Lechonk on the head. He turned to Paula. "Sorry fir running off earlier. The little guy needed help. I love animals do I can't stand seeing an helpless animal and not doing something."

Luke fell back onto the sand, worn out from his futile pursuit of the Cactuar. Running on sand is tiring! Now how was he to get that key back?

Fortunately for Luke, he didn't have to worry about it long. Sora appeared, looking no worse for wear, and he was... flying?? Before Luke had even a moment to process the sight, Sora had already snatched him up and the two were soaring over the sands!

"You... You can FLY!" Luke exclaimed. His features then went from awe to confused skepticism. "Wait, if you can fly, why were you falling from that floating cast--" Luke stopped himself and shook his head. "Nevermind that! We gotta find Pichu and get your key back! Besides, after everything else that's happened, this is the least odd thing I've ever seen!"

Closing the distance between them and the unusual thunderstorm, Luke soon spotted poor Pichu being attacked by a massive red crocodilian monster! Luke cried out in shock, then put on a brave face and shouted, "Hold on, Pichu! We're coming!"

As Sora and Luke touched ground, Luke discovered that the Cactuar thief had also decided to confront the beast. It was in a stance, Keyblade held out before it as though it intended to fight with it. That did not happen as Sora simply summoned the Keyblade back into his possession, and the boy received indignant 'gekas' in response.

Sora challenged the crooked-nosed Krookodile, and the Intimidation Pokemon bared its teeth and snarled in response. It raised its claws in preparation of battle when its beady eyes suddenly widened with terror and it turned tail and dove into the sand, fleeing!

Luke scoffed, "Hah! That showed him!" Victorious, the boy's concern immediately went to Pichu. "Are you alright, Pichu? Did that thunderstorm come from you? There's a lot I gotta learn about this strange world, eh?"

The strange world darkened as a shadow fell over the three boys. The Flowering Cactuar let out a fearful 'geka,' and as Luke turned he beheld a gigantic Cactuar the height of ten Krookodiles! It had a curly mustache that appeared drawn on by a pen, and exuded a dark, malevolent aura!

"'K-King Cactuar!" Luke repeated, having understood the Flowering Cactuar's frightened squeak.

Layton and Byleth left the Battlefield Fortress and traveled deeper into the Wilds. Time passed, yet the two professors found no sign of the children, only Pokeys, Bramblins, and the occasional troublesome Leever. Layton had once tried to start a conversation with a Pokey, believing them to be friendly what with their seemingly permanent smiles, only to narrowly avoid being slammed by the wiggling cacti creature.

Just as Layton was beginning to grow concerned about their situation, a palm tree appeared in the horizon. Beneath it was a Toad wearing sand-colored adventurer's garb and a large backpack. Professor Layton could not help but feel relieved: the discovery of a palm tree and a person meant civilization may be nearby! Maybe Luke, Sora, and Pichu are close as well!

The Toad Adventurer folded his map and tucked it away as the professors approached him. He treated them to a friendly grin and a wave. "Howdy-ho! You two certainly don't look like desert explorers! Got yourselves lost, have we? You're in luck! Wahuu Oasis just lies ahead."

Professor Layton smiled pleasantly and tipped his hat in gratitude and greeting. "Good evening to you, my good man. We are, indeed, quite lost and grateful for your assistance. You wouldn't happen to have seen two youths pass by?"

The Toad rubbed his chin thoughtfully, then shook his head. "Nope! Haven't seen them, but that doesn't mean they aren't in town. I'll be sure to tell my team to keep an eye out for them."

"You have our thanks," Layton said simply.

True to the Toad's word, the professors soon arrived at Wahuu Oasis, a walled town of adobe buildings and palm trees that provided sanctuary to those who traveled within the perilous Wilds. Sleeping just outside the gate was yet another Gao, a creature Layton was not so keen on encountering again any time soon. Upon the professors' approach, he opened his eyes, yawned, and stretched lazily before addressing them. Adorning his headdress was the familiar grinning silver and gold emblem.

"Halt! No one enters the town without my say so! What business do you have here?"

Layton remained polite and pleasant as he tipped his hat to the sphinx-like creature. "Good afternoon, sir. I am Professor Hershel Layton, and this gentleman is Professor Byleth. We have no intention of causing trouble within your fine town. We only seek two lost youths. I don't suppose you've seen them?"

The Gao huffed, "No, I haven't! Now get lost! Boss Pianta ordered no visitors without a pass!"

Layton, of course, did not possess a pass. Yet by observing the Gao's lax body language, he easily deduced that the Gao had no genuine desire to start a confrontation and would rather go back to sleep as soon as possible, very much like the other Gao he and Byleth had encountered earlier.

Professor Layton continued to smile at the gate guardian. "I am sorry to say that I do not carry a pass, but I give my word that we will not dally long. Good evening."

As Layton proceeded through the gate, the Gao became alarmed and agitated. "Hey! I did not say you can pass! Get back here! Get back here before I get up! I mean it! I'm getting up! ... You'll be sorry! Last warning...!

The Professor continued on his way without a passing glance. The Gao sighed and rested his head on folded paws. "D'oh, what's the use! You're far too clever, Professor." The Gao closed his eyes and resumed his nap.

The streets of Wahuu Oasis were relatively peaceful as the shops had closed for the night. Most of the activity appeared to be at the local tavern which lay not too far from the gate. Tall, formidable women of dark skin, Gerudo, patrolled the streets. Layton observed that they also possessed the same emblem as the Gao gate guardian. He also thought he saw a rather large purple rodent in a bandit's mask scurry across the road as soon as a guardswoman's back was turned.

It probably was for the best that the professors did not dally long!

Toon Link's relief became surprise as he saw a burst of blue flame pursue the fleeing Moblins. It took the small Hylian a few seconds, but he recognized those flames! There was another Super Smash Brother nearby: Joker!

Toon Link liked Joker. At first, the leader of the Phantom Thieves seemed threatening to the swordsman (and he most certainly was a dangerous opponent as one learned in the Super Smash Brother tournaments), but off the battlefield he was one of the "kids." Toon Link wasn't sure if the teenager would find that to be an insult, but he did know that if there was mischief to be made or a Little Brother had a problem they were not comfortable going to an adult for, Joker was one they can rely on.

Soon after spotting Arsene, Toon Link found himself among new company, familiar and unfamiliar. There were two young men in black of whom Toon Link was not acquainted; Paula, who he recognized from previous tournaments and through his friendship with Ness; Inkling, another Super Smash Brother and one of the biggest party animals in the roster; and Panther, who like Paula, Toon Link knew through her connection with Joker. As Panther knelt down to his height to praise him for his awesome piggy-catching skills, Toon Link blushed and beamed. She is so very pretty!

The serious, blunt tone of Joker brought Toon Link's focus back to the situation at hand. The smile disappearing from his face, Toon Link nodded once in agreement. As Daisy had brought up, there were important things to discuss. He saw that neither Pit nor Pyra/Mythra were among Joker's group, to his disappointment and concern. As the party made their way to the farmlands to return the Lechonk, Toon Link heard screams from a distance.

Sounds like Arsene had caught up with the Moblins!

"Your Chonky is just fine," Nurse Joy confirmed to the Lechonk's owner, rising to her feet after giving the round Pokemon a quick examination. Chonky snorted happily; all Pokemon knew that Nurse Joys were friends who will provide safety and healing to any Pokemon that needed it.

Within the safety of the grateful old farmer's home, Toon Link explained to Team Woomy the events that led up to his reunion with them, from being Shanghaied by Kremling pirates, to the adventure in the Ghost Ship and the discovery of the Pillar of Fear, his separation from Pit and Pyra/Mythra, and the meeting in Cranky's cabin. To Toon Link's surprise and relief, it seemed both groups were on the same page in regards to Lord Lunaris and the quest to seek out the Pillars of Creation and Destruction. With the poem bestowed upon Joker by the Chozo chronicler and the riddle left to Toon Link by the Ghost Ship, the group had a means to start deciphering the locations of these mysterious crystals. Toon Link smiled at Joker and revealed his Wind Baton. If it is Lumoise City the Phantom Thief was bound for, the swordsman can provide a short cut through the Ballad of Gales! All they had to do was go to sea and use the Ballad of Gales to transport the party to the waters close to the Beachside Town. From there, they can head westward toward Lumoise City. That meant Toon Link was essentially returning to the spot where his adventure in the Smash Realm began, but he hardly minded if that meant finding a Pillar and bringing the Super Smash Brothers even closer to defeating Lord Lunaris!

To think the pokemon would back down so quickly took Sora by surprise, but he didn't complain. His gaze simply followed after the retreating crocodile as he listened to Luke's shouting. A soft chuckle slipped between his lips and in the brief few seconds of repose, he planted the teeth of his keyblade into the sand while using his free hand to rub the bottom of his nose, basking in his momentary glory even if he had hardly done anything at all.

He was ready to make some snarky comment on the ordeal, but the looming shadow caused any thoughts to slip from his mind and his head immediately turned towards the newfound creature that had appeared. It was much like the small cacti that they had encountered before, albeit much, much bigger and donning a funnily drawn mustache on its face. It took every ounce of restraint to keep himself from laughing over it, knowing now wasn't the time to do such things.

Instead, he gripped the hilt of his keyblade a bit tighter and raised it up in defense. If this thing was hostile, he was the one that needed to protect them. He didn't have his usual company whom he knew could easily defend themselves when the going got tough, plus he didn't have the luxury of having Byleth around either anymore. There was also the mental question of if Pichu's attack could even harm a creature like this. How did lightning work against a cactus? That was far beyond Sora's own knowledge and while he could test it out himself, he didn't plan to find out for the sake of knowing.

Hearing Luke squeak out some kind of name for the Cactuar, the keyblade wielder tilted his head. How was the other even knowledgeable of what these things were? Had he learned that quickly? Again, he found himself with questions he knew he didn't have time to find the answers to. He had to take the information at face value and roll with it. If this was some king of these creatures, then he had to be mindful of what he did. Maybe he could even avoid violence! That was a best case scenario especially given the aura it was giving off. There was no telling if they could even properly communicate with them in the first place.

"King Cactuar, huh?" he repeated as his eyes looked up to stare at the towering creature's face. "Look, we aren't here to disturb you and your people if that has upset you. We were escaping a dangerous situation before we ended up here among your kind. Maybe we could come to some kind of understanding that benefits both parties here, or you could point us out of your territory and we can be on our way."

It was hopeful wishing, but Sora didn't know what else to do. This was the best solution to keep everyone safe, and if they had upset this king by coming into its territory then he rather be off than cause more trouble. Such things weren't worth the risks they posed.

The two friends had followed Joker's group to the house of the Lechonk's owner,an old farmer. The little pig pokemonwas happy to be taken care of by Nurse Joy. Not only it was a time for both Noctis and Prompto to rest but to also know their new allies better.

They both listened to Toon Link telling them about his adventures. " No way,a real pirate ship?!" Prompto said. " I so envy you little Dude!"
Toon Link revealed his Wind Baton to his allies. It got both Noctis and Prompto intrigged. " Nice...magical wand?" Noctis said, confused.
"Wait..." Prompto said. " What are you trying to tell us Link? You're gonna get all of us to our destination by magic?!" Prompto asked Toon Link.

Byleth fell to silence as they began to move though his eyes remained on a constant swivel, watching for danger while his hand rested on the hilt of his sword. He couldn't afford to be lax, not now, even if there were no concerns to be had. The wilds could easily offer a multitude of problems in their own rights. He knew that all too well from his own journeys back home. Not every fight was against man. No, the cruel beasts of nature could just as easily steal away a life if one wasn't careful. He wouldn't leave such an opening though.

Luckily nothing of the sort seemed to take them off guard and soon enough Layton came upon an adventuring Toad. Despite his limited time in the Smash Realm, he recognized the being, having previously learned that they came from the world which Mario and his companions resided. Many were supposedly the loyal people of the Princess, though he figured such things didn't matter in this world. Even so, he knew they were generally good aligned individuals. It allowed his guard to be down as his companion spoke with him, though his gaze remained as stoic as always, making it hard to tell whether he was prepared to attack if given the chance or if he was merely going along with every thing that was happening.

He didn't speak up as Layton and the Toad came to some kind of agreement and as the latter began to lead them to the location he spoke up, Byleth trailed behind the pair to watch the rear in case of an attack. Ever was he vigilant in his role.

Their venture was short, though their arrival outside the Oasis instantly caused the professor's brows to furrow as his pale eyes landed upon the Gao that laid outside. His fingers instinctively curled around his blade's hilt even though no attempts to draw it were made. If words were to be exchanged first then he would allow it, though his body remained tense with each passing second. When things began to look bad, the temptation to resort to violence grew, but to his surprise Layton dared to merely push forward and ignore the Gao's warnings. Perhaps he should have been more preceptive of the creature's lax nature, though given the circumstances, he was too focused elsewhere to acknowledge it then and there. He didn't let it go to waste though. Instead, he hurried after the older man and let his hand drop from his sword in the process. There would be no need for hostilities within a town; at least not immediately. If they were threatened then he would be prepared.

However, the atmosphere was less than inviting for the young professor. It was ironic given the peaceful nature that surrounded them, but the sight of each emblem his eyes wandered over left him with a growing sense of concern. If these people were associated with the same army the previous Gaos were a part of then his presence alone was likely unwelcomed in this place. The only saving grace he had was the fact his appearance wasn't the same as it previously had been during his visit in the realm, yet still one could easily recognize a face despite the change of clothes and color of ones hair and eyes. It was a dangerous game for him to play, but he had to remain its unwilling player whether he liked it or not. Perhaps the emblem he had picked up before would come in handy.

The thought of that caused Byleth's lips to purse in thought. Would it be safe to possibly present himself as part of the same army? A trick of allegiance could work in his favor, though his reputation still followed him. It was a hard call to make. For now it would remain in the back pocket in case something did come up. It was the best way to avoid conflict.

"Where do you think we should start searching?" the swordsmen finally spoke, as his gaze flickered towards Layton. "The tavern seems the most crowded, though a crowd might not do us favors, and I doubt kids of like Sora and Luke would find themselves in such company."

His eyes trailed off his companion again as the sight of a bandit scurrying about in the shadows caught his attention as well, though he didn't make it known. It was best to avoid getting caught up in such matters, especially if it might end up getting them into troubles they didn't wish to find themselves in. Besides, that was yet another type he didn't expect Sora of all people to get caught up with.

"And as a side thought, I don't think we should speak to the guardswomen if possible. I don't believe we'd receive a warm welcome if we did."

Lana
The White Sorceress

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Lana smiled as the yoshi took the flower from her and Pit made his agreement known. It seemed like their aid in the dinosaur’s love life would be slow but steady, until a flash of white light blinded them. “Yeesh, turn down the lights…!” the sorceress muttered, rubbing her eyes.

A blonde woman dressed in white stepped out from behind their hiding spot and began snapping towards the farm girl most rudely. Pit got up and followed her, and reluctantly, Lana did the same, wondering where Pyra had gone and who this ‘Mythra’ was. However, nobody was too surprised by this switcheroo, so Lana assured she shouldn’t be either.

As the woman and the angel continued to speak with the girl, Lana observed quietly as the Yoshi entered the Chocobo pen. She clasped her hands together and rested her cheek against them as an ‘Aww’ sound escaped her.

“Yikes!” she yelped as an old farmer pointed a rifle at the Yoshi. But Christi, the farm girl, explained the situation, and thankfully, nobody had gotten hurt. What a close call!

The deity settled herself down on the porch stoop as they took a moment to rest (as per the wishes of the old man). She accepted a cup of tea gratefully, saying “Thank you, miss,” before she took a sip, the flowery warmth of the liquid relaxing her.

She watched as Pit talked with the Chocobo. Christi asked if he knew how to speak the bird’s tongue, to which the angel quite cheerfully denied. Mythra was very unamused, but Lana found it quite funny, her giggles mixing in with Christi’s.

Once the tea and biscuits were consumed, the old man began to tell the Smash Bros. the farm’s dilemma. Lana, looking forlorn as Yellow Yoshi and Lulubelle were shocked by the information that the old man and Christi may lose their farm due to forces outside their control, said, “There has to be something we can do…

Her statement was immediately met with a determined Christi, who mentioned something about a race at The Gold Saucer, with a prize that could keep the farm afloat. However, the old farmer was quick to point out the dangers of traveling to the Gold Saucer at this time.

The farm girl then asked the Smash Bros. if they would run the race for them. Mythra was quick to decline, and although she had a point, Lana stood up from her seat, and remarked, “Maybe it would help them in the long run if we continued on, but it seems to me that their situation is too dire. They can’t wait on us saving the Smash Realm if they can barely make ends meet now. You and Pit continue if you must, but...”

Perhaps the mage was letting her heart speak more instead of her head, but in her endless bid to bring light wherever she went, she couldn’t just sit on their porch, drink from their cups, and not do something in return to help them. “I must confess, Christi, I’ve never ridden a Chocobo before, but I can learn quickly. I will run this race for you!” she asserted, pointing to the Deku Spear that she carried on her back. “I am used to riding Dekus in the midst of battle, so riding Chocobos can’t be that difficult…right?”

Cia
The Dark Sorceress

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The deity tilted her head to the side, nodding as she pretended to listen to Pauline happily blustering. To be frank, she had no interest in being her friend, but if Pauline had visited to create an alliance with Lunaris, then getting on the Mayor’s good side would be advantageous in the future.

When she held out a hand to shake, Cia delicately took her hand between two fingers and shook it rather patronizingly. “Mhmm. Positively charming, citizens and the souls of one’s empire, yes…” she drawled.

Once Pauline had finally answered Cia’s questions, a small smirk curled on the goddess’ lips as she nodded and replied in a pitying tone, “Oh, you poor things. Don’t you worry, dear Pauline, I feel your guilt is being wasted. Lunaris will be fine, I’m sure if he takes a lie-down. And, of course, I won’t disturb him during my little stay here.”

Cia swiftly turned, raising a hand loftily in goodbye. “Ta-ta, Pauline,” she said before walking off with a purpose.

Now that she had ascertained from Pauline that Lunaris wasn’t in the best shape, the sorceress was sure that it would be much easier to look around. What she would find inside the Lord’s estate, she didn’t know, but she was sure it would be valuable.

She slipped into a portal she whipped up with her staff, and exited inside what she thought was a broom cupboard. It seemed she didn't have full control of all her powers yet since being revived...

There was a bit of clatter inside the closet as she bumped into a shelf, soap and buckets and mops clattering to the floor. “Ugh, you have to be kidding me…” she muttered into the musty darkness, as she jiggled the knob of the door, which was locked.

With a low snarl, she blasted the door open with a flourish of her staff, stepping out of the cupboard into an empty hallway. Cia looked both ways, checking to make sure the coast was clear, before she soundlessly strolled down the hallway, looking around curiously at the fittings and furbishment, at paintings on the wall and the stained glass windows…it seemed like a place suited for a ruler. Perhaps she would live here once she got her hands on the Triforce– it would be a definite upgrade from the decrepit temple she used to call home.

Ren paused as Daisy spoke towards him and he glanced back over his shoulder, letting a brow raise as he took in her words. To think she still she still remembered how fighting him had gone in the previous tourney when his own memories of the specific fights was a bit hazy. He supposed he had left an impression of his own, and one could not blame him for not recalling everything after what he had gone through once he had returned home after the tourney. That was what strong drugs would do to one’s brain. It made him feel bad, but he wouldn't admit to his memory wasn't the greatest. He had his own pride to protect.

"That so?" he inquired, letting his stoic expression break to allow for a cocky smirk to form upon his lips. "Well maybe one day we will fight again, though we have bigger problems at hand."

His brief display of emotion quickly faded and he turned back forward with a small nod of his head as she went on to mention his companions. As he did, his gaze moved to Ann who gave him a look back before rolling her eyes slightly and giving a small shake of her head. Of course he was going to avoid doing introductions himself and leave it to her. She supposed he was in that kind of mood. So be it.

"We didn't meet directly last time I was here, but I came along with Joker before, so I know who you are," Ann admitted with a sheepish smile as she rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm Joker's girlfriend, Panther, though I don't mind if you call me Ann. The others are Noctis, Prompto and Paula."

As she said each of their names, she pointed towards them to make sure they weren't confused for one another. If the others wanted to say more they could, but she would leave it at that, especially since Ren himself was already moving further ahead. She didn't want to keep him waiting too long. Pushing herself forward, she moved to catch up with him, knowing they would all have time to talk soon enough and go over everything that had happened.

Once they arrived at the farmer's house, Ann could see the tension in Ren's shoulders relax as he settled on the couch. It was good the older man had allowed them a space to rest in. Sitting beside her boyfriend, she watched as he subconsciously laid his arm on the top of the couch behind her. Smiling contently, she listened to Toon Link explain his situation and speak of the crystal that he had found alongside Pit and Pyra/Mythra. So the poem had been right, though it seemed they had been separated at some point in time. It made her wonder what had happened to the other two, and from a look at Ren, she could tell he was wondering the same thing, though he didn't dare to ask at the current moment. Instead he decided to speak of their own, or rather his own, events.

"So you have one of the pillars then. It's good to hear that you and the others were able to withstand what was put before you, and it sounds like you have gotten information that lines up with some of my own," Ren mused as he brought his free hand up to his chin and held it as he briefly pondered what he wanted to say in regards to his own situation. How would the others react to the downing of the Stadium? Would they find him a traitor of sorts given its importance to the fighters? Who knew, but there was no point in hiding what had been done. It was best to own up to what he had been apart of than keep it hidden. "I took to the Stadium not long ago and met a Chozo there. She bestowed upon me a poem regarding the current ordeal, along with the locations of other Smash Brothers at that time. We are severely undermanned if I must be blunt about it, and well, that information came at a price. I allowed the Stadium to be downed. It was the wish of the one whom I spoke with. The place had become a stronghold for this Lunaris and hopefully by eliminating it his army was weakened, but..." The thief trailed off as he tilted his head towards the ceiling and closed his eyes while a long sigh slipped between his lips. His hand moved up to pinch the bridge of his nose before he let it go and dropped it down to his side. "It's likely I can be put at the scene itself and with that I wouldn't be surprised if a target has been put on my back. Who knows if information has gotten out and what has been said. It's possible our allies might hear of this and take it as a bad sign. Ever the rogue card I am. Alas, I'm fine playing that role if necessary, but I say this in case you all would prefer to avoid such issues. The burdens I carry from my own actions do not have to be yours as well."

There he went again trying to take it all upon himself. It caused a huff to escape from Ann's lips as she turned to look at him before smacking her hand flat against his chest. He winced as his eyes shot towards her and he could see the serious expression she wore upon her face, knowing she was upset with what he had said. He knew exactly what it meant even if he didn't want to face the reality of it. Murmuring soft curses in his native tongue, he looked back at his companions.

"I leave the choice to you in that regard. It would make things easier to have more people around, and I cannot deny that fact. I'm already spreading my own abilities thin as is."

He hated admitting to such, but there was no avoiding it. He was spread thin keeping his own group afloat and guiding them. While he had the leadership abilities to do so, he still was only one man and the issues thrown at him were far greater than he could confront alone. Besides, it was much different than the usual issues he was used to facing.

"That aside, it's best I tell you the next course of action we are taking," he said, deciding that it was best to give them an idea of what he was planning. It would allow them to decide whether or not they wished to join. "We are headed for Lumiose City by heading west across the sea. It's a long trek even once we arrive there, but no path was going to be easy. Going across land could be an option in the east, but my own navigator deduced this was the safer of the routes. There is the issue of the general of these plains residing in the east, hence why west is the better route. However if you..."

He was cut off as Toon Link presented his baton to him and seemed eager to offer assistance in crossing the sea with ease. To think he would be so willing took Joker by surprise, though perhaps he shouldn't be. It reminded him of himself after all; so willing to aid those in need, especially those he felt he could trust. The Hylian probably saw it in a similar light. A small smile crossed his lips at the sight of it and he pushed aside his own doubts that the others would rather go their own way. Of course he did not speak for all in his group, but to know even one of them wished to aid them was more than enough in his eyes.

Ren took his arm down off the back of the couch as he leaned forward to close the distance between him and the other Smash Brother. Putting his hands on his knees, his expression was warm, much kinder than it had been earlier on. The cold front he had put up had quickly broken down.

"I'm glad we can count on you for help. I admit I'm not well versed in what your baton can do, but given the confidence you seem to have, I have no reason to doubt it can bring us to where we need to go. Before we get to that though, we need to ensure Nurse Joy's safety here in Postwick. It is top priority to see she makes it to the local Pokemon Center," he stated before his eyes caught the familiar sight of black, feathery wings outside. Arsene had returned. That brought another thing they needed to address, especially since he seemed to have a moblin in hand. "And it seems we have a hostage to interrogate as well. I'm sure we can gather useful information from him."

A smirk quickly crept onto Joker's lips as he pushed himself to his feet and strode across the room. As he did, he allowed blue flames to begin encompassing his form, figuring there was no use in trying to keep up his disguise, not with others around. The flames enveloped the uniform he wore, quickly replacing it with the all too familiar thieves attire, though his mask remained off his face.

Opening the door, he allowed Arsene to enter with their hostage in hand and gray eyes immediately landing upon the moblin while his hand went to his hip for his pistol. His eyes were sharp and showed little emotion, though this part of things was never something he enjoyed. Still, he had interrogated countless shadows before and he knew what needed to be done whether it was the proper way to go about it or not.

"Good work Arsene. I would have preferred both, but this will do. Keep a good grip on him, though I'm sure he won't struggle too much," Joker remarked as he briefly spun his pistol around his finger to make it's presence well known before he spoke directly at the moblin. "I don't think I have to tell you what will happen if you refuse to speak. My gun isn't the only thing you need to be afraid of. I'm pretty sure I heard our local princess expressing how much she wanted to beat you before you ran off, and I'm very willing to let that happen if needed. I'd hate to resort to bloodshed after all."

Such words were cold, even for the likes of Ren, and the expression upon his face came to match. It was all for the sake of intimidation, especially as he paused the twirling of his pistol and pointed its barrel towards the creature before him.

"Alright everyone, I'm sure we all have questions for our little guest here. Who would like to go first?"

The command center of the G.U.N. headquarters thrummed with tension, its walls alive with the hum of machinery and the glow of monitors tracking Sephiroth's rapid approach to the portal leading to the Dark Realm. On the main screen, his one-winged silhouette was unmistakable, cutting through the air with terrifying precision.

Abraham Towers, the G.U.N. Commander, stood at the center of the room, his grizzled face a mask of grim determination. His uniform, sharp and impeccably pressed, reflected the discipline he demanded from every soldier under his command. "Where is he now?" he barked, his gravelly voice cutting through the chatter like a blade.

A junior officer snapped to attention, her fingers flying across the console. "Sir, Sephiroth is less than fifteen minutes from the portal. His speed is consistent, and there’s no indication he’s slowing down."

Towers’ lips pressed into a thin line. "Damn it. If he gets into the Dark Realm, there’s no telling what kind of power he’ll bring back. We can’t afford that. Not now. Not ever."

Standing slightly apart from the flurry of activity was Whindam Leonov, the prototype clone of Sephiroth. Clad in his pristine white uniform, he exuded an aura of eerie calm that contrasted starkly with the tense energy in the room. His pale eyes lingered on the monitors, watching Sephiroth’s movements with an almost clinical detachment.

"Commander Towers," Leonov said, stepping forward, his voice smooth and deliberate. "Pursuing him directly with standard forces will only result in more casualties. However, we still have the Mjolnir Railgun. A direct strike might not kill him, but it will slow him down. Enough to deploy our more specialized units."

Towers turned to Leonov, his steel-blue eyes narrowing. "The railgun is untested in live combat. If it fails—"

"It won’t," Leonov interrupted, his tone unwavering. "And even if it doesn’t incapacitate him, the shockwave alone will disrupt his momentum. Every second we delay him brings us closer to deploying a more permanent solution."

Towers studied him for a long moment, then nodded curtly. "Fine. Prep the railgun. Fire as soon as he’s in range. But this better work."

Leonov inclined his head. "It will."

"Good. Because if it doesn’t, the fallout will be on you," Towers growled, before turning to another officer. "Get the Gekkos prepped for immediate deployment. As soon as the railgun fires, I want those machines swarming him."

"Yes, sir!" the officer replied, rushing to relay the order.

Across the base, the sounds of activation reverberated through the deployment hangars. Rows of Gekkos—sleek, bipedal machines armed to the teeth—powered up, their mechanical limbs unfolding with precision. Their electronic eyes glowed red as they began their march to the launch zone.

Leonov returned to Towers’ side as the technicians initiated the railgun’s charging sequence. "There’s one more thing, Commander," he said, his voice quieter but no less confident. "Our research team has made progress with the DNA sample from Subject DS-0320-20."

Towers raised an eyebrow. "That project was still in its infancy last I checked."

"It’s no longer theoretical," Leonov replied. "We’re on the cusp of creating a new Anti-Sephiroth weapon. One that will surpass anything we’ve fielded before. However, it will take time to finalize. Until then, delaying Sephiroth is our only option."

Towers sighed, his jaw tightening. "Do whatever it takes to get that weapon operational. But if you’re wrong about this, Leonov, I’ll personally see to it you answer for it."

Leonov smiled faintly, though the expression didn’t reach his cold eyes. "Understood, Commander."

The countdown to the railgun’s firing began, tension thick in the air. On the main screen, Sephiroth’s figure grew larger, his aura an ominous glow as he soared ever closer to the portal.

"Ten seconds to fire," a technician announced, her voice tight with nerves.

"Let’s hope this slows him down," Towers muttered, his arms crossed tightly over his chest.

The room erupted in light and sound as the Mjolnir Railgun fired, its projectile streaking across the screen in a blinding arc. The impact shook the earth, sending a massive shockwave tearing through the landscape. Dust and debris clouded the monitors, obscuring the aftermath.

Pit
Location: A chocobo ranch in the Plains
Interactions: Ploegy Ploegy , Shroomie Shroomie

As much as Pit yearned to help the old rancher and his family, he knew Mythra was right. The Super Smash Brothers are needed to defeat Lunaris, free the Hands, and save the Realm. The sooner the better, and stopping to aid every unfortunate soul only slowed things down. Had Pit still been in contact with Lady Palutena, he knew the Goddess of Light would remind him to focus on the mission rather than blind altruism.

"Christi," the old rancher scolded, "It ain't right to demand the Super Smash Brothers give their aid, 'specially to strangers when the whole world is in a heap o' trouble!"

Ashamed, the young rancher's eyes became downcast. "You're right... I just... You're right..."

The old rancher looked to the Smash Brothers. "Apologies, friends. The Super Smash Brothers have returned to the Realm. We gotta take satisfaction in that an' have faith. I'd be willin' to lend you a couple o' birds fer the journey. We'll teach you how to ride 'em. There ain't no steed more swift 'n' loyal than a chocobo!"

"If I had Phos, we'd already be at the Stadium," Pit muttered to himself. Arms folded, the angel captain withdrew into himself as his thoughts were consumed with worries of his missing unicorn. "Where could you be, buddy...?"

Pit shook his head upon the realization that he may have made things awkward, and forced a wide smile on his youthful features. "Oh, excuse me! Really, thanks a lot! It sure beats walking!"

Before plans can be finalized, however, Lana stood up and offered to run the race on behalf of the chocobo ranch. Pit suddenly found himself at a crossroads! He agreed with Mythra in that they must reunite with the other fighters to save the Realm, but he also wanted to help the kind ranchers and loathed the thought of simply leaving them, and while he only knew Lana for a short time, he had no desire to split up the group. Pit looked between the two women and rubbed the back of his head in distress. "It really falls on me to break the tie, huh? Aw man!"

Fortunately for Pit, it was a choice he did not have to make. The sound of hooves drew his and the ranchers' attention to the horizon. A mustachioed man in foppish finery sat atop a brown steed as he made his way toward the chocobo ranch. Pit felt an instant dislike for the nobleman. The old rancher scowled.

"Ingo."

"Graham," Ingo responded bluntly. He looked to the chocobos and sniffed scornfully before returning his gaze to the rancher, one side of his mustache tilted upward in a smirk. "Still keeping those mangy, mite-infested beasts, I see! It's not too late, you know. I'll even hire you and your family on as ranch hands and spare you the terrible fate of living on the dirt!"

Christi stepped forward, contempt on her face as she declared, "And our answer is still the same as always: never! Not now, not ever! We will never give up our land and our birds! We'll win the Chocobo Races and thrive! You'll see!"

Ingo let out a haughty laugh. "Oh-hoho! Your granddaughter is quite a fiesty little lass, eh, Ol' Graham? Determined to join the big chicken races, eh? Well, that reminds me of something I overheard while visiting the Flying Citadel: along with the prize money, Lord Lunaris is to personally invite the winning team to his castle! Huh, normally you would need to spend a king's ransom to gain entry into the Citadel, but Lord Lunaris is apparently quite fond of these races. Hmph! Horseback racing is a sport better befitting nobility, but far be it from me to criticize my lord's preferences."

Pit's eyes widened and he glanced at Mythra and Lana, wondering if they shared similar thoughts. A chance to see Lord Lunaris in person? This may change things!

Christi folded her arms, "And you are telling us this... why?"

Ingo sneered, "Because, my dear, the thought of you chicken chasers actually gaining a place at Lord Lunaris's table amuses me to no end! Well go on then! Run your little race! After you've been left in the dust, maybe then you'll come to see how generous my offer is!"

With another mocking laugh, Ingo stirred his horse into a gallop and he was soon gone.

"That guy's a real piece of work," Pit huffed.

Expectedly, the military launched their counterattack. The velocity of the projectile directly hit Sephiroth; its impact shook the earth. Dust and debris obscured his vision temporarily. Clearly they wasted precious little time in preparing for their counteroffensive against him a little earlier than scheduled.

Ah,” A sigh passed Sephiroth’s lips once he retained his vision. He rotated his shoulders to iron out any muscular kinks, slowly tracing his legs into the dirt in a circular motion, with no sign of injuries there. “Alright then, they certainly didn’t waste time. It seems like I have no choice in fighting.” He clicks his tongue, expecting more to come his way.

That projectile caused a crater underneath him; its impact did little to stop him except annoy him. He speculates this is a distraction for something beyond anyone’s comprehension. The revelation did little to satiate his goals to push forward with the task at hand.

He leaps out of the crater, taking time to survey the damage. His displeasure is made plain as the blast indeed slowed down his mission to acquire his new awakening and his mother's. Instead of dwelling on it, he took advantage of the dust cloud obscuring their peripheral vision to slip away.

When he took advantage of the momentary distraction, his six senses became acutely aware of the dark realm, subsequently the life essence itself. If the essence is indeed like the life stream that makes up Gaia’s lifeblood, it is of utmost importance that he handles those scum as swiftly as possible.

His movements are sharp and fluid, wishing to put a good deal of distance between his newfound enemies and himself. Believing time is against him as he senses they are sending more to intrude on his mission—keenly aware they’re saving their trump card for later to trounce him. Just as he feels he’s a good mile ahead, his movements slow to a brisk walk while keeping aware of his surrounding environment as the war isn’t over yet.

In a split second, his Jenova cells did the work in healing the damage, as if he wasn’t just struck by the railgun’s projectile. Now, moving rapidly forward. A battle is imminent, whereas not all of his abilities were used in snuffing out those abominations; he has many more under his belt—not counting his signature move.

In retrospect, nothing is high and dry. He kept on going as the essence sent shivers up his spine—drinking or direct exposure, if it’s like the life stream, it’s imperative he tests it for toxins or any strange anomalies. Playing the test subject is little compared to making sure Mother has an impeccable experience in her recovery.

Ah, those suits are coming for me; quite troublesome,” He whispers, picking up the pace. Seeing going by land is probably more feasible than flight, as he took a direct hit from the railgun. He took powerful leaps, running fluidly; he will fight. It’s like dangling a carrot in those scumbags faces. Unable to forgive or forget how his DNA was misused. How they dared to trepidation onto things that they should not have.

The violation against him or their crimes will be let off easy—his calm, cold anger is palpable. Imperceptibly, drawing at least a little of his existential mana energies for his own counter strike . Using that move most are familiar with when he purposely aims for the kill is on his mind.

It begs the question how they knew such things. He won’t leave it well enough until he gets good answers to all his questions. However, in the meantime, breaking the chains suppressing them is of greater importance. If he could gain back control over the clones, his consciousness could be extended at a frighteningly large scale. At the very least, it’s safe to say he has a plan.
