JAP Pit has stated a few times that he will punish, or bring punishment, to wicked beings. Maybe he'd be more of a strict adult than we have previously discussed! I suppose someone has to balance out Mythra's more loose parenting style besides poor Pyra!

Someone definitely needs to balance out Mythra’s lax parenting style. Pyra can only do it so much after all!
I think in terms of strictness on their kids my characters from most to least would probably be like:
Byleth > Shulk > Ann > Joker > Pyra > Mythra > Roxas > Sora

My opinion hasn't changed too much. I still think Pit is likely to let kids under his care free roam, but he'd definitely have some firm rules put into place ("Be home by suppertime," "Do not go beyond Angel Land's borders") and they'd know their manners. Discipline usually comes in the form of extra chores or being sent to bed early.
Dark Pit would definitely be more strict and stern in comparison, but he'd also be very involved in raising the kid. He'll teach them how to fight and how to survive in the wild. His main goal would be to make sure they grow up strong enough that they can defend themselves and the things they value, that no one can ever force their will over them. He'd be less physically affectionate than Pit, but he's far from unloving; he shows he cares by simply being present and involved. I can also see him glancing about to make sure he's alone before engaging in play with his little one. I think he'd be more harsh in scolding and disciplining his children than Pit would be. Usually, though, just a glare is enough to keep them straight!
I think Toon Link would be the most relaxed parent out of my PCs. He'd be heavily involved with his kids, playing with them, educating them, and training them, and he'd let them go about as they please (with some sensible rules in place) once training and lessons are over. They would have to really mess up to get him angry at them! Somehow, they are NOT spoiled!

Isabelle- Definitely would be the best mom of the group, no questions about it. She’d be incredibly kind and doting, but also firm and responsible. After all, she almost holds a sort of maternal status over the town/island, so I could definitely see that translating pretty well into parenthood. The only hiccups probably would be the fact she really loves her job, so having to dedicate less time to it for the sake of raising a child could be a bit of a downer for her.
Zelda- Being the character who at some point pretty much has no choice but to become a mother for the sake of continuing the bloodline, this is a pretty interesting question
If I wanted to get a bit angsty I could touch on whether Zelda in her current state would genuinely want a child or in some manner only feels obligated to because of her royal duties, but that might be a bit much to dwell on lol. But one thing she might definitely struggle with could be finding the balance between both a.) raising a happy and well adjusted child and b.) ensuring hyrule will have a suitable ruler once it’s time for her to step down from the throne. After all, once her child becomes king or queen, they’ll have the triforce of wisdom at their disposal, Zelda would need to make sure that it falls into the right hands. Whether she finds such a balance in parenting would likely be up to a variety of factors, but overall she’d definitely try her best in finding the middle ground between caring for both her kingdom and her child’s well-being. shhh I know that’s a pretty vague answer but that’s the best I got

Fjskdkcjfdnd but in all seriousness as of Splatoon 3, while she has matured quite a bit, I still wouldn’t see her having the responsibility and energy required for child raising. She’s tired, (probably) kinda depressed, and has watching over the New Squidbeak Spittoon to worry about first and foremost, adding a child into the fray is only going to spell out trouble. But I will say that Inkling would definitely take “It takes a village” to heart, as the squid sisters and cuttlefish would probably lend a hand in child raising, cuttlefish especially being of help since he’s already gone through raising both his own children and grandchildren by now. So he’d hopefully help Inkling pick up the slack in that area.

Hello! If you are interested in joining this RP, all information is on the first page of this thread. While I do not mind folks coming in here to geek out about SSB, this thread’s purpose is to provide a place for players of this RP to chat. It’s not a gameplay advice thread.

You've inspired me to write out more in depth what kind of parents my characters are, so here we go! These will be lackluster, but take em anyways
Ren & Ann - I figure putting them as a dynamic is easier. Both Ren and Ann are dotting parents who both have a good balance of love and discipline. Ren takes more of the role as the primary parent since Ann has her modeling career and is gone on occasion (aka Ren is a househusband and he's proud of it). Both understand what they don't like in parenting thanks to their own parents (Ann's being away too much for work and moving her from school to school too much and Ren's for pretty much not talking to him once he was on probation) and are able to figure out a good approach to raising their family. They like to let their kids be expressive and give them the best at home life they can offer
Sora - He is the most loving, dotting father who spoils his kid with so much love. He approaches parenting with in a gentle manner. Somehow his kids aren't brats even with how much he spoils them. He definitely gets help in his parenting from Donald and Goofy (probably more Goofy cuz I wouldn't trust Donald with a child). His habit of being super self sacrificial probably heavily applies towards his kids. He is very protective and close with his family
Roxas - Major struggles... Lots of trial and error. He doesn't even have much of a clue what parenthood is supposed to be like, let alone what childhood is like. He has a weird situation and it causes a lot of hit or miss moments when raising a child. He's not a bad dad, but it's a lot for him to take in and understand. He gets a bit impatient when his methods don't seem to work, but he's trying his best
Mythra / Pyra - Mythra is very similar to Roxas' whole case. Parenthood and childhood are things she does not really know about beyond what the trinity processor her core crystal is tied to can tell her. However, she is far more lax and carefree in her approach, being pretty hands off in her parenting. Pyra, while having similar issues of lack of knowledge, is more hands on and very loving. She is attentive and motherly, even beyond her own children. While Mythra would lose her temper with her children when they act out, Pyra is more refined in her discipline, sticking to standard punishments like timeouts and such. She may be sweet, but her kids find out not to act out and see her mean side
Byleth - Parenthood is weird for him. His lack of emotions makes it hard on him to understand some aspects of it, though over time being a parent helps him express himself. When his child is born it's probably the second time he ever shed tears, even though he didn't understand it. He is a stern father though. He doesn't accept any kind of nonsense. It's probably hard on him being a parent while also being the archbishop of the entire continent of Fodlan, but he makes sure his kids are well behaved and can fend for themselves
Shulk - You see, I can cheat on this one because he canonically becomes a father, even if we see it under strange circumstances. He's a caring father, one who wants to spend time and bond with his children. He shares his wisdom and knowledge with them, making sure they have a good head on their shoulders

I'm imagining poor Pikachu trying to catch her litter of Pichus to tuck them into their nest box, but every time she puts one in the nest box, another runs out and she has to go catch it! Pikachu also taking her newborn litter and carefully putting them into the lap of a trusted fighter, such as Samus, is cute to think about. Yeah, I know Pokemon all come from eggs; maybe the whole litter came from one egg? XD
After catching Zelda overworking herself one night and forcing her to take a break, Dark Pit made a strict rule for Zelda that work ends at 5 PM. If he catches her still on her throne or at her work desk, he's going to make her stop working for the evening, usually by picking her up and carrying her off himself. If she's being stubborn, he'll just throw her over his shoulder, and he doesn't care at all if the servants see this. All reports are to be made to Impa, who decides whether or not it is important enough to bring to the King and Queen after hours. Anyone else who disturbs the King and Queen will be locked in the pillory for a day. Fortunately, that hasn't happened!
Dark Pit had to learn the Hyrulean language in order to become king. As such, everyone just calls him King Darkpit and think his odd name is simply due to him being from a different world and culture. This is a good thing as I'd think a lot of folks in Hyrule would be very alarmed if they were aware their Princess had chosen a person with "Dark" in their name as her king consort!
Whenever Zelda finds flowers and her favorite treat on her work desk, she knows Dark Pit did something that would make her upset. It's gotten to the point where she simply accepts the gifts and doesn't ask questions. If it's bad enough, she'll find out about it eventually!
Zelda noticed the orphanage in town was being expanded, and she thought it was the result of a very successful charity event until she was informed that the rupees were donated from Hyrule Castle's treasury at the order of King Darkpit. Zelda, pleasantly surprised with this, goes to talk to him about it. It takes a bit of prodding, but he eventually tells Zelda that humans in his world have an awful practice of abandoning unwanted babies in the wilderness. Whenever he found one on his wanderings, he'd secretly bring it to a temple or altar to Palutena so that it may receive the care it needs. Of course, Zelda isn't upset about the donation at all, but finds it funny and adorable that Dark Pit would be too embarrassed to admit to such a thing.
Zelda and Harkinian found an adorable Bow Wow puppy for sale while the royal family were walking through town. Dark Pit tries to discourage them, saying that they already have a Bow Wow, as well as Phos and Lux, the two unicorns that carry the Lightning Chariot. They both gave him "the eyes."
He spent many an afternoon nap with the Bow Wow puppy on his lap.
Dark Pit overhears Zelda calling an infant Harkinian "Pudge-pudge," and states that with a nickname like that, Lil' Hawk is bound to dump them at a nursing home one day! The evening comes, and Zelda and Pittoo are sitting on their thrones, Hawk playing on Pittoo's lap. The clock strikes 5 pm and Dark Pit picks up Harkinian. "Dinner time. C'mon, Pudge-pudge." He freezes, then winces and groans out loud. Zelda is laughing!
While Zelda was carrying Harkinian (assuming he wasn't created through magic or delivered to her by a Stork!), Dark Pit was incredibly attentive to her. One example is during meal times: he'd eat only a portion of his meal then give the rest to Zelda to make sure she was getting plenty to eat. Of course, being king and queen, they could simply ask the chef to make more food, but Zelda understood this was Dark Pit's attempt to be involved and helpful, so she humored him.
Dark Pit learned that olives do not exist in Hyrule. It was a sad day for him.
Maybe for a happier ending, instead of dying in battle, Dark Pit suffers a crippling injury and has to walk with a cane. Unable to fight effectively, and realizing his memory isn't as good as it used to be, Dark Pit concludes that he can no longer lead. He and Zelda decide that it is time for Harkinian to assume the throne and become the new king of Hyrule. Though he doesn't regret the decision, Dark Pit doesn't adjust to retirement well. He has been a warrior all his life, and now he is without purpose. Zelda notices this and suggests they take the Lightning Chariot and travel. They could visit Peach and Mario at the Mushroom Kingdom, or go to Valla, or anywhere! She sees Dark Pit's eyes light up and she smiles!

Fhskfhdkf I can’t believe I just found out about it now but the 3ds/wiiu online services are ending April 2024
Nintendo Support: Announcement of Discontinuation of Online Services for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U software
(Excluding for Pokémon bank and transportor but it seems at some point in the future those may also eventually come to an end)

I'm in a Joker mood surprise surprise I know and figured I'd share some lil Smash related things about him
-His grappling hook was probably a nod to this menu since in the base Persona 5 he didn't use one. However, he does get one in Persona 5 Royal which came out after he was in Smash
-Persona 5 Royal made this silly reference to Smash. It wasn't in the OG game, so a clear nod at Joker's inclusion as a "Challenger Approaching"
Also, I was hit with the sudden reminderthanks brain that he wears suspenders under his school jacket and offer this messy doodle I did while half asleep last night because I had to get the thought out I got mad and scribbled all over the suspenders LMAO
