Fjskchdlv I’m 99.999% sure I’m misremembering since I cannot find proof but omg I swear at some point during Splatoon 3’s story mode I thought I remembered there being a gag about Inkling/Captain insulting someone where it was implied they used curse words but I can not find the dialogue anywhere so I genuinely think I just somehow imagined it Gosh it’s barely been a year since the game came out and my memory is already this bad But personally I like think that Inkling isn’t at all against the occasional swear to add some spice to their sentences BUT she’d think it’s way funnier to self censor with frick, mothertrucker, heck, and stuff like that instead.

Zelda probably wouldn’t swear because she’d think using curse words is a sign of a limited vocabulary but I could def see her using much more subtle means of insulting people in a similar view. Like using fan language, flower meanings, and the sort of subtle backhanded compliments that would totally just fly over someone’s head instead.

Isabelle on the other hand definitely wouldn’t swear and would probably do her darnest to make sure the people she’s around aren’t cursing around any younglings. Lol I could see her frantically trying to cover any nearby children’s ear the moment a “damn” is uttered.

Lastly Pichu has actually been saying the abolsute most henious and utterly vile insults throughout the entire rp but it’s all been in Pokespeak so no one will ever know /j

Fun little thing about cursing regarding Joker and Ann. Ann is more likely to curse than Joker is, especially the ones people consider "worse" swear words. Joker is mostly hell or damn/dammit, with his extreme being him saying "bullshit" like once. He never drops any of the other ones. Ann is mostly the same, but when she gets angry she is way more willing to pull out shit or even bitch. It's a silly little thing, but it always makes me picture that when someone insults Ren when Ann is around, he is all calm and smiling, but Ann is all glares and prepared to through insults/curse words back at them

Damn, then we really need a Link player then. Cause this area has the most narrative relevance to him. This is the perfect opportunity for development on his part (which was the initial intent when I introduced the Kokiri in the Swamp)
