Enter Sasha. I think it'd be great if she learned of Eli's struggles then. I've been waiting for an opportunity for Sasha to shower someone with money XD She doesn't care much for children, as would become apparent if she ever runs into children, but she cares for everyone, and would easily hand over money. She's pretty rich, and doesn't quite understand the norms, so this is totally normal for her XD

If you want Eli to struggle though, just keep it a secret from Sasha XD

Just so you know Magical Squid Senpai the obsidian like statue isn't a small gem or anything, it's a person sized statue, roughly in some sort of humanoid-ish shape. Though your description of it is pretty great XD

Also, Sasha would have just ignored the entire mini conversation, thinking it was all in her head, so she has no reaction to it, just for clarification
