Starbucks and Sarcasm

Dylan grinned, "I guess, it would be a good time to show me another waste of time activity." he suggested. It wasn't the activity he was interested in, but he didn't want her to leave just yet.

"Well...we could watch a movie? One that's not in any way educational," she suggested. She wasn't sure what they'd watch, or if he even had any non-practical movies. "If you want," she shrugged.

Dylan sighed, "Not educational? I think I might have some of those. My cousin sent me some random stuff, I never opened. The television has a built in DVD and Blu-Ray player, I'll be right back." Dylan said, getting up, he went towards the hallway to a small storage space, where he had a few open boxes. He looked into one and picked it up, taking it back to where he left Melanie. "He is a big action adventure guy, but I think he put some mystery and thrillers in here." Dylan said as he set the box down on the table, and sat back on the couch.

Opening the box, there were an endless amount of still wrapped DVD/Blu-Ray cases of movies that Dylan had never even looked at.

Melanie sorted through the box and picked out five movies from the box, four action movies and one scary thriller. "You pick- this is for helping you waste time, after all."

"It doesn't matter to me. I never opened them, because I didn't understand there purpose. Whatever you want, I'll put on." Dylan admitted, unsure what he should pick.

"Dylan, just pick one," she sighed. "It's not that hard...c'mon. I'll even watch the scary one if you want." She stared at him, waving the movies in front of him.

Dylan sighed, randomly picking what looked like an action movie. Tearing off the wrapper, he got up and opened the case, he pushed disc player open, it slide out from the side of the television and he put the disc in. As it slide back in, Dylan went back to the couch and sat down. Reaching for the remote at the table, he turned to television on. "Do you want to grab anything before it starts?" He asked Melanie.

Dylan sighed, as he started the movie. leaning back, he watched closely. Or at least he tried to, his eyes shifted towards Melanie a few times. He was curious how she reacted to the movie. His eyes moved to her lips, he was curious if kissing her would be the same or if it was something else that caused him to think of it so much.

Melanie watched the movie, jumping occasionally when something exploded. Every once in a while she'd look over at Dylan, but he always seemed to be watching the movie as well. She tried to refocus, but was having trouble.

Dylan sighed as the movie seem to come to an end. He still had no idea why he was talked into actually watching a movie about....well he didn't know what it was about. As the credits were on, he turned to movie off and turned to Melanie, "What do you want to do now?"

"I don't know...it's your place. What do you normally do in your down time?" she asked as she stretched a bit and reclined back on the couch, watching him.

Dylan looked around, "I sleep here." Was all he could say, "I usually am in the library or at work. I only come here to sleep and of course when I need to be."

"Oh." She was at a bit of a loss for what to do or say after that statement. "Well, I can go if you want?" she offered. He hadn't seemed to enjoy he movie and didn't have any more project questions for her; maybe he wanted her to leave.

"Well, okay." She looked around, trying to come up with something for the two of them to do that maybe Dylan wouldn't hate..."Which language that you learned is your favorite?"

Dylan looked confused,"I don't have one. Being biased is not something I'm used to doing." He looked around, "It's passed lunch time, we should eat something."

Melanie just sighed at him and shook her head. "Of course not." She sat up straighter and stretched again. "Well, let's eat then."

Dylan smirked, getting up, "What do you want?" He asked going to the kitchen, "I think I might have some leftover lasagna, or I could cook something? Your choice."

Dylan sighed, as he stood in the kitchen, "I'm glad you think so, but you never answered what you wanted?"

Dylan smirked, "When why don't you come give me a hand? I can't read your mind and apparently neither can you. Maybe if you actually see the food, you'll know."
