Starbucks and Sarcasm

Melanie narrowed her eyes at him. "Don't be a smartass," she said, though there was no real force behind the words. She got up and made her way to the kitchen.

Dylan tried holding back his grin, biting his inner lower lip, he smiled. She made a cute face, he had the urge to kiss her. And he still had no idea why, "It's better to be a smartass then a dumb one. Come see what you want. Don't expect any frozen dinners though."

"Hmm," she looked through his kitchen, deciding what to eat. "How about something quick? I'm hungry...grilled cheese and salad?" she asked.

Dylan smiled, "Grilled cheese? Okay, you want to make the grilled cheese our the salad?"

Dylan opened the far end drawer and pulled out a small cutting board, "Here." He said handing out to her, before he got butter out of the fridge and some slice cheese. Then he got the bread. "Don't put pickles in the salad."

"Okay," she said with a nod. She grabbed some lettuce from the fridge and looked through the cabinets until she found a large bowl for the salad. She began washing and slicing the lettuce and other vegetables and putting them in the bowl.

Dylan smirked at the glimpse of her cutting the lettuce, it was uneven, but he didn't mind. Toasting one side of the breads he buttered then and flipped them with the cheese on top, to toast the other side, and melt the cheese. He paid close attention to make sure they were buttered on both sides and toasted brown. It only took a few minutes, he took a plate from the cabinet above and put the grilled cheese on then, stacking them.

She finished up the salad, and rinsed the knife and cutting board in the sink before drying them. "All finished," she said, turning to see him with the plate of grilled cheese.

Dylan grinned, "Good, Grilled cheese taste better hot." Dylan led the way back to the couch, "Do you want to watch something?" He asked, setting the plate on the table in front of the couch and seating down.

Dylan smiled, taking the remote he turned the television on, and changed the channel to the discovery channel, before leaving back and taking a grilled cheese.
