Fandom Star Wars: Jedi Rising OOC

He's a Gen'Dai--4000 years old, a giant of a guy, and he's got a ton of dark side powers--but his specialty? Sith Alchemy. He can take a sword--just a simple vibro sword, and imbue it with enough darkside energy that it with blow a Jedi's lightsaber apart upon contact--but this guy doesn't kill quick. He's an absolute sadist.

Oo spooky

That trials post was a damn good read I got to admit

Problem is I only know how the Knight trials end, with the Padawan braid being cut off. Don't know if it's similar to that or not, cause I'm not sure if it has ever been documented

Broadsword, actually. A claymore has a much thinner, yet longer blade.

But, he used Sith Alchemy to transform Mandalorian Iron into an anti-son-of-a-bitch stick. xD

Rotfl.

The hilt is Mandalorian Iron--the blade was originally Cortosis until he enhanced it a great deal with Alchemy. Its why he can "shatter" an opponent's lightsaber. He is called Darth Caedem. Cadem means "Slaughter" in latin.

Well, if he is only an Acolyte or Adept he'd have to be baptized by Caedem and THEN he'd earn his Sith moniker. But We can make a PM and you can tell me what kind of person and character you want him to be and through the story, I can anoint you as Darth _______. I think that would be a cool and fulfilling moment.

I was thinking of doing that. Also when you say Baptized, how is it done?

Well, it can be done several ways--in fact, there is no one "true" way of performing the rite of passage where you gain enough sway to EARN the title of "Darth" and it associated name or moniker.

We have a lot of leeway with this sort of plot device here. We are in a time when the Sith were plentiful--even to the point where you could kill a handful and still have many to spare to fill the positions of those slain--either by a Jedi or the master of a group. The Rule of Two didn't come along for a long long time. Even then, Sithoften had "backups" either to pressure their protoge or just in case the chance that said disciple failed his given tasks.

I'm finishing up Caedem; editing Valin and adding tid bits to his history, personality--I changed his armor so he didn't look so "tanky"--I'll be adding For Techniques, Lightsaber techniques (Not to be confused with abilities) and generally being more thorough. I want to have their characters complete before I post so we know who these individuals are. ^^''

So, as Ive been making Caedem I was thinking about how Jado's Baptism should go.

How do you feel about him enhancing your saber skills--or maybe using sith alchemy to make your connection to the darkside much deeper?

Good idea-

Hm

To be fair, it would make sense for his connection to the darkside to be much deeper since, even though he is far younger than Aso, he is almost as good at combat (with some differences of course). So his connection, at the moment, is not as strong as it should be since he's spent most of his life as a Jedi.

I will respectfully disagree that just because you are a Jedi--of any kind--you are inherently weaker than a Sith somehow. While it's true that most Sith disciples are generally on a different playing field than a Padawan or even a Knight--its because Jedi don't wantonly murder people. Remember the dark side isn't necessarily more powerful--it just seems that way because emotion impacts the relative connection one can glean from the Force. However, I will say that a Jedi can maintain the Force for longer periods because of how destructive the darkside is to one's anatomy.

But, you want to make his connection to the Force be stronger then?

Yes.

Okay; so I think I can do that--there will be a cost and there are going to be inherently strong repercussions--nothing is free. But I think we can totally work out how, when, and why Caedem chooses Jodo to be his disciple.
