Silence eludes me.
That's nothing compared to some other abilities especially in Legends. I mean Luke could literally move black holes and did so once to stop his ship from being sucked into it and then subsequently moved it perfectly into the path of a pursuing enemy ship and it got sucked into it instead.
The Force is some crazy stuff.

I'm guessing since they put the death star back together so quickly the Not-Empire figured out how to Streamline the Doomsday device building process, which would explain why destroying a planet sized one didn't seem to slow them down at all.
