Yep, on Monday! Honestly, I'm excited. I get to go back to Chinese class and then I have classes with a one of my favorite teachers. I get to read an abridged version of Tales of Heike and Tales of Genji. This makes a very happy Yuuki. =w=


...Right?! I'm hoping to get a new bed on Labor Day weekend. Dat special without sales tax sounds absolutely wonderful~


And on the 19th I move into my new apartment. I haven't strangled anyone in this apartment yet. Five people is too many here. x___x;;

That actually sounds pretty cool, I have to say: are you learning another language as part of your program requirements, or more so for your own interest/ fun? Hopefully you'll enjoy most of your courses and it'll be a good semester. I'm actually really looking forward to my course schedule, even though there's a lot of early mornings involved , but most are courses I'm genuinely interested in, so having high hopes.


Shopping for bed stuff sounds wonderful - got treated to brand new fluffy pillows this summer, so I can imagine how love it would be to get a new mattress. I didn't know the stores went tax-free during labour day though.... I wonder if this is a mystical phenomenon only south of the border, or if I've simply been oblivious this whole time.... may need to restock my book collection if that's the case. Enjoy the shopping, and best of luck finding a comfy/ affordable bed.

As an Asian Studies major, its a requirement to learn the language for your focus region. Mine is China, so I get to learn Mandarin Chinese.


I really hope Ill enjoy my classes this semester. Everything I'm taking goes toward my major now. Best feeling NA. xD

Certain stores--not all of them. Just the one I was looking at has tax-free during this special only. I've actually never heard of this before. Except in the magical tax-less place of Oregon.

That feeling when you've finished the tedious/ mandatory pre-requisite courses and can actually take classes which contribute towards your degree xp. I'm always a bit bewildered by the kanji system, since it seems rather extensive, but I imagine that if you're immersing yourself in the culture by taking it in conjunction with the other classes, it would be a rather interesting/ exciting opportunity . So for Asian Studies, is it that you research the cultural/ historical components which make up and influence the social structure of a region, or is it connected to politics/ economy/ etc?


Well, I major in Music Composition, so most of my classes focus on theory (Analysing the works of other composers and considering how the different elements of a work (Ex. Form, harmony, rhythm) relate to the musical trends of that time period) as well as writing our own pieces as part of a portfolio. As well, I'm taking a history class for fun and a course on the role of digital technology in recording/ creating music (Which is... ok), so all in all I'm looking forward to the term .

You've got to disable the rich text editor completely when you're working with the CS.


(uncheck the box under Preference >> Options)


What happens is the rich text editor would automatically try to "fix" things for you but in this case


it only does more harm by altering the code to the point where the whole structure of the CS collapses.


This process already occurs as soon as you hit that edit button.


Once you have disabled it, try again by posting the original CS coding template. It should hold in place


even if you decide to edit the post.

when handling the CS.

Hey guys. Just posted up the Ho to Define a Paranormal post. If you haven't previously, please read it. Hopefully it will make sense and clear up whether your character would be defined as an Extra-Sensitive or a Paranormal.

Mhm, you know, I read that before, but I meant to ask: Would Chloe be a paranormal in the sense of mythology (as Dopplegangers in various forms are of such nature, throughout Scandinavian, Egyptian and other folklore) or would she be considered a magic user with human roots?

@Sunbather, technically she could be both. Because they are an actual mythological being in some folklore, but also generalized as someone that has another copy of themselves out in the world, she could have roots in both. The more prominent might be magic user, but her magic would have origins in (most likely) Scandinavian lore.
