Spoiled little Rich Boy

"Hm? Is something wrong?" Risa's mother looked over and sees him carrying his violin case with him. "If you don't mind." she said and opens it as it was broken. Risa covered her mouth when she saw the state of the violin. "Oh wait mom, isn't another friend of yours owns an instrument shop? I'm sure he can fix it." she said, looking over to her mother. "Oh yeah, what do you think Syrrus?" she asked him. "The violin... it seemed like it was really precious to you, Syrrus." Risa said, worried.

Looking at the broken violin, Risa sits beside him and smiles at him. "Don't worry Syrrus, whenever you have a problem you can always count on us." she giggled "Well, actually, I'm really glad that we can help you Syrrus, honestly." she said, somehow she had a faint blush on her cheeks while saying this and looked down, she looked so adorable while she said that last sentence.

Syrrus looked over at his case and was just about to stop them from opening it, he stopped his own impulse instead and looked down at his feet instead. The violin was almost cut in half, something or someone had clearly slammed it over something else and if Syrrus recalled correctly it had been Tabatha hitting him over the head with it. Never had his violin had to suffer from his habits. He peered at Risa and gave her a gentle smile. "That is very kind of the both of you, sweetie, but I can hardly count on you for everything that would be awfully rude of me. After all... you helping me to get a job is far more than I could ever ask."

The young man looked over at his friends mother and gave her another smile. "It is very dear to me, yes... But there is nothing I can do I don't think... It's awfully old, my grandfather made it when I was but a little kid." Not that there was a single young violin that was good either, a good violin was an old violin.

Risa's mother sighed and didn't want him to force him and nodded. "I understand, okay." she simply said and looked at him with a gentle smile. "So about that job, how about we go to the club right now, shall we?" she said as she Risa was still thinking about the old violin of Syrrus. She couldn't help but get worried and wanted to do something for him. Risa looks at his violin and thought of something and smiled to herself and was determined to do it. She thought that money she received from the library for working there will not be enough for buying a violin, but she still wasn't sure about that. For now, she follows her mother leading the way to the store as Risa left a note for her little sister to read that they would be back and then locks the door, for safety.

It didn't take them long to reach the club since it was just at the other street, which was near their house as well. It actually looked decent and professional as well when some guy with blonde hair who looks like who was still in his thirties came out and sees Risa and her mother. "Look who we have here, is there something you need my sweet honey~" he said to Risa's mother as he pinched his cheek. "I don't have time for your flirting, I'm married remember Edward." she said. "I have someone I want you to meet, and he is actually interested in being one of your music performers at the club." she said, introducing Syrrus to Edward.

Syrrus followed, this time feeling awfully insecure about the cloths that he was wearing. He looked like a groupie and not at all like the gentleman he used to look like. It was frustrating, to say the least. He sighed for a moment as they walked down the street, he had of course taken his violin with him, he'd never let go of it now. No matter how useless it was for him, perhaps he could fix it himself, if he could remember anything that his grandfather had tried to teach him, he doubted it.

Edward behaved almost the same way as Syrrus, which caused the young man to feel slightly more comfortable. There as a future for people like him, good to know. He nodded at the man and reached out his hand for him to shake it. "Syrrus DeLaine, how do you do sir." He said, with one of his famous smirks. He wasn't very good with men, to get along with them was very hard when he was great with women, perhaps if he actually spent time with a male who wouldn't feel threatened by Syrrus' charm things would go smoothly. As long as he wasn't married.

Edward looked at Syrrus and was somehow focusing on the violin case he was carrying with him around. "A nice young man right here." he said as he pointed at Risa who was watching them beside Syrrus "Are they dating?" he asked bluntly when Risa flinched and immediately blushed from the sudden question that Edward gave to her mother.

"E-Edward!! N-n-no we aren't dating!" she told him as she was holding his collar as Edward chuckled at Risa's cute embarrassed reaction. "Hahahaha, I'm so sorry Risa, it kinda looked natural you know, so I just had to ask that." he said honestly "I know a good couple when I see one." he added "But we are not a couple you see." Risa answered him back almost immediately as well. Risa's mother giggled at the current situation "Haha, I wish Edward. Oh about Syrrus, do you think he is good enough for you?" she asked. Edward looked at Syrrus again, now more seriously and nodded. "I guess we can work this out, he seems like the type of person who is pretty good with playing his violin." he said as he started talking about the details for work, which was really simple, Syrrus was asked for his schedule at school and Edward gave him the schedule that was good enough not to disturb his class hours for school. And he gave a form for the dorm for employees as well.

Syrrus couldn't help but grin when the man mentioned his relationship with Risa, apparently the world wanted it to be so didn't it? He peered around wondering if he should comment but decided against it. The way that man was eyeing him up made him feel slightly ill at ease. When he was given his time table he smirked slightly. As if he ever went to lessons anyway, he had no time for such. He just paid the school bill so he could eat, the lessons meant nothing to Syrrus, sadly. Funnily enough his grades couldn't be better.

"Thank you." He said, trying his best to look grateful because he was, but it wasn't a face he used often. He opened his Violin case and popped the paper of detail in there before closing it back up again. "Oh, and no. Me and Risa isn't a couple, yet."

Risa blushed while the two adults laughed at the cute little soon-to-be-couple. "S-Syrrus!" she said, she was completely flustered at the moment as Edward laughed hard and pats Syrrus' back and grins at him. "Hahaha, I like you kid, I like you already, good personality and even good with the ladies, that is what we need for the club, a good personality." he said. Risa's mother tapped Syrrus' shoulder "Well then, I'm finished here, if you need anything else, just call me with this." she said, giving him her number.

Risa looked at the paper that her mother was giving to Syrrus and she was wondering. 'Has she already given her number to him?' she thought and looked at her phone that she doesn't have Syrrus number in her phone. It was just for work, home, relatives and some of librarians from the library at school.

Syrrus smirked at Edward. Yes, he was indeed going to like it here, it seemed. The blushy cheeks that belonged to Risa caused him to snicker even worse, however. She was too cute for him, in fact. He knew that she was too good for him, but that didn't mean that he wouldn't fight for her, at least a little. Like he did now. "Thank you, sir. Looking forward to it. I hope you don't mind groupies, I got a few already..." It was true, he had quite a lot of them, in fact and it was getting a bit annoying.

Turning towards Risa's mother, Syrrus nodded and looked down at the number. He didn't have a phone to ring anyone with, he didn't even own the cloths that he wore after all, but he decided to say nothing and simply nod. "Thank you, ma'am." He looked down at Risa and smiled at her, she looked thoughtful. "Something wrong, hun?"

"Well then, I'll be seeing you tomorrow then, you can submit that form to me tomorrow as well." Edward said as he excused himself from the three. Risa's mother also excused herself but then told her mother this "C-can Syrrus stay with us for tonight?" she asked her mother as she stopped walking. "E-excuse me dear?" she asked. Risa blushed and looked down. "I mean, since Syrrus will be living at the dorms tomorrow, I figured he should at least have a good night's sleep right... I mean it's for his work and all..." she said as an excuse.

Risa looked down, blushin hard after suggesting something bold. Risa's mother looked her daughter and then at Syrrus. "I-if you think it's fine then sure, we actually have a guest room to spare, so you can sleep there Syrrus." she said.

Blushing, Syrrus wasn't sure to say. Risa sure asked a lot on his behalf didn't she? Not that he minded too much, it was quite cute of her to care so much. "It is very kind of you to offer, but I'd hate to be a bother, for any of you." He peered down at Risa and gave her a small smile, what was she trying to pull? Perhaps some alone time with her wouldn't be too bad... He had some ideas bubbling in his head, but he wasn't certain what he could pull with the mother still in the house, and besides... she had a little sister too.

"Thank you. It'd be rude not to accept I suppose. Thank you again." He smiled to the both of them, that polite smile that only Syrrus could muster.

'W-was it too much?Oh god, did I screw up? Wait, I'm just inviting him as a friend, it's normal right? It's not like I have any motive or anything, just helping a friend in need, that's all... right? Right!' Risa thought to herself and nodded and smiled at Syrrus. Risa's mother made a smirk as she was looking at her daughter. "My daughter is growing up~ Awww, I think I'm gonna cry." her mother teased her as Risa blushed even harder "M-Mom! Just stop it! Y-you're embarrassing me!" she said as she was being hugged by her. Risa's mother laughed at her adorable daughter.

After finally going back home, Risa's mother told them that dinner will be ready at 7. Risa lead Syrrus upstairs to the guestroom, which was just next door to her room. She opened the door and, the room had a table, a closet, a bed and chair there was also a bathroom inside. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me, okay?" she said and was about to go to May's room to check up on her.

"A towel wouldn't go amiss." Said Syrrus who's eyes was locked on the bathroom door. For being a man without home he sure had good body hygiene, this was of course received due to the same reason everything else in his life was but if he actually, for once, was going to get to shower on his own, in his own time, without anyone there... he wouldn't say no. Smiling down at Risa as he stepped into the room and unloaded the Violin case carefully upon the table, not that it couldn't get any more damaged anyhow.

It felt odd, to be able to live a life on his own, very soon. It had never happened before. To have to rely on tricking others had been his only way in life, this was new, it was different and it was scary. Not that he showed any emotion on the outside, he was pretty good at looking completely cool about pretty much everything, with a gentle smile and a spark in his Eye.

"Oh towels are already inside the bathroom. Oh there is also a washing machine inside in case you need your clothes to be clean." Risa said looking at him and smiled. "Well I'll go and get you something to wear first." she said as she walks outside the room and goes to her parent's room. She rummaged through her father's closet and was picking some clothes for him to wear. She was sure sure enough that the guest bathroom was big enough to be used.

Risa then went back inside and brought him a shirt and some pants that might look good on him. Even though it was her father's most of his clothes were very modern and stylish as well. "Syrrus? I got you some clothes to wear, she knocked on the bathroom door and slowly opens it and places it on top of the washing machine. She can hear him take a shower as her face turns red. She was seriously blushing this time and looked away and walks out of the bathroom.

She sighed and then looks up 'Okay Risa, this will be fine, I'm just helping.' she thought to herself and sees his violin on top of the table. "I'll definitely buy him a new one...." she said softly to herself while looking at it.

"No need to do that." Syrrus voice came from the bathroom door as he stepped outside. The hot water had felt awfully nice against his cold skin. He stepped outside with only a pair of jeans, hanging loosely from his hips as he hadn't bothered to button it properly yet, still drying his wet black hair with the white towel. He tossed the shirt towards the bed, making sure it landed neatly on top of the covers. His chest was still dripping slightly of water, only a little, one drop going down his cut abs like if it was some sort of race.

"Thank you though, Risa dear." He smiled gently at her, placing the towel over his shoulders and one hand on his hip. He didn't seem to pay any sort of attention towards the fact that he was almost half naked, again. This time looking more so than before with his wet hair, unbuttoned trousers and the fact that he wore no socks.

Risa turned around and was about to smile when he was half naked. Risa turned around quickly, closing her eyes as tightly as possible and didn't want to look at him for now. "O-o-oh, n-n-no problem! A-a-always glad to h-h-help!" she stuttered and covers her eyes with her hand and walks over to the window. The sun was going down and her heart was beating so fast. 'H-h-his body was... h-he is half naked right now! W-w-what do I do?' she thought her cheeks were blushing right now.

"Oh... uhm, she held onto the curtain and covered herself with it so that she won't see anything right now. "Oh S-Syrrus, h-how about putting a shirt on?" she asked shyly. The white curtain that was covering her, certainly looked like a veil that bride wears in their weddings, but she doesn't know that yet. She was too busy using it to cover her eyes.

Syrrus couldn't help but chuckle. "Sweetie, seriously? I do realize this is a bit blunt... But it's hardly the first time." He walked towards the bed as he buttoned his trousers and pulled his shirt on, letting it hang open over his pale chest. Peering towards the curtain where she was hiding he couldn't help but to smile.

"Sweetheart?" He asked again, trying to get her attention. He pulled on the curtain gently, so he also was hidden behind it, standing inches from her. "Don't hide your pretty face from me." He smiled, gently down at her blushing face, stroking one finger underneath her chin. "I don't bite... you know this, don't you?"

Risa opened her eyes when she saw that was he was already wearing his shirt and sees him just inches away from her. "P-pretty face? P-p-please don't tease me Syrrus... it's e-embarrassing...." she said, as she looks up at him and was now leaning on the wall and had no where to go now since she was cornered by Syrrus. She couldn't help but be conscious around him, usually it was nothing for her last time but this time she didn't want him to be near her since she might hear her heart beating so fast.

She looked away from him and answered his last question "B-but I heard other girls say you do bite.... I mean the girl you used to go around with I guess... I mean I overheard it one time..." she said, her cheeks turning bright red.

"Who said that I am teasing you? I'm deadly serious, see?" Syrrus pointed at his face, this time without smiling but it didn't last long. He couldn't help but to smile at the young lady in front of him. He was glad to be alone in her company with only the dawn to watch them from outside the window. The dying breaths of the sun stung in his eyes like bee stings but he couldn't care less, her company mattered too much.

A girl had said that? He couldn't for the life of him know why someone would say that, perhaps it had been a girl who he had pretend to be a bit more cold around? He did indeed change his personality depending on the person he tried to charm. Placing his hand over hers he attempted his best to look her in the eyes. "I would never harm you Risa, not even with a nibble."

Risa blushed when he said that last sentence to her. She was happy that he was sweet to her but then she wondered if he was this way to others girls as well. That made her a little sad as she looked disappointed about her thought. 'I want to ask him if he was ever like this to other girls... but I figured that maybe he was, especially to his first love...' she then felt her hand being touched by Syrrus.

She looked up at him and unconsciously held on to his and entwined her fingers to his slowly. She felt nervous but at the same time she felt like she was drowning in bliss.

"You don't trust me" Syrrus said, slowly, his lips inches from hers, he was leaning down, craning her neck backwards, tilting it just lightly so he could stand almost in his full height and still be able to kiss at her lips, if she wanted him to. "I can see why, I wouldn't trust me either." He smiled, carefully and stroke his free hand down her cheek, placing it gently over her shoulder. "This is who I am Risa, I am never going to change..." Not change, perhaps, but stop flirting with other women; probably. "I won't say that I love you, for I do not." Again, truth, he blinked slowly still gazing into her eyes. "Not today, but perhaps tomorrow, if not tomorrow perhaps the day after or the day after that." He continued, whispering and blowing hot air against her. "It will happen, I know it will because I know myself better than I know anyone." He planted his lips against her forehead, gently. "But I can never promise that you will trust me, such a thing I can not do..."

"N-no... I do trust you Syrrus, I really do..." Risa said softly, only the both of them could hear it as she felt him kiss her forehead. When she heard him say that wouldn't fall in love with her, it just somehow made her heart sank, It hurts but she didn't want to show it. 'So he still loves her huh...' she thought as her lips were close to kissing him when her little sister was calling out for her. "Big siiis! Can you help me with something!" May said as Risa pushed Syrrus away from her, letting go of his hand and was blushing. "I... I'm sorry..." she said with a sad smile as she excused herself from him. "C-coming May!" she said and walks out of the room and goes to her little sister's room.

Syrrus was left standing by the curtain, watching as Risa hurried towards the door. She had looked rather sad. Perhaps she had misunderstood him? Or maybe she simply didn't wish him to like her. He assumed that was the case, why in the world would she want a guy like him, he was rather useless and never to mention his habits. Sitting down upon the bed, Syrrus started to button his shirt, thinking about something trivia to make himself feel better. It wasn't every day he got rejected by a girl after all, in fact it had only happened once.

Tossing himself backwards upon the pillows he sighed, looking up at the roof above him. What would he do now? There was simply little point in staying there, would the daughter of the house not enjoy his company, he didn't wish to cause distress.

"W-what is it May?" Risa asked as she saw her little sister working on her assignment "Hmm?" she walked over to the little girl and sat beside her on the floor. "I don't know how to do this..." she said, making a flower as an origami. Risa looked at the failed attempts of May and giggled a bit "Okay, let's learn it together, why are you doing this anyway?" she asked her as she gets some papers and starts folding. May grins "I'm gonna give a flower to Big brother." she said innocently. Risa looked at her innocent sister and smiled "Is that so? I'm sure Syrrus would feel happy if he received this from a cute girl like you." she said as May nodded and also started to make a paper rose for Syrrus with May.

After a while, May made a bit of mistakes but was able to finish making one, even though it was a bit crumpled, while Risa made a nice one. "You should also give one to big brother, sis!" she said as Risa looked down and made a small smile. "O-okay then.." she said as May stands up and then Risa follows her to Syrru's room. May knocks on the door and then opens the door. "Big brother! Lookie here! Me and my sister made flowers for you!" she said handing the crumpled origami rose to him while Risa peeked from the corner of the door and then walks over, slightly blushing and didn't know how to look at Syrrus. "H-here...." she said, giving him the origami.

Syrrus blinked in mild surprise when the little girl stormed into his room. He was sitting on his knees, slowly putting his violin back together with some old tools that had been tucked away in his violin case. If he tried hard enough he probably would be able to remember his grandfather and how he used to fix peoples instruments.

Peering at the flower made of paper that the little girl handed him, he couldn't help but to smile. It was too sweet of her. Gently taking it from her and placing it on top of his Violin case he smiled and took the little girls hand. "Thank you sweetheart, it's a very pretty flower. Never seen anything so beautiful before... Well, except you and your big sister of course." He winked, not that the little girl would understand a wink and kissed the back of her hand. He could pretend to be that little girls prince too, in a more... innocent fashion. Like a good big brother would.

Risa watched them act like some princess and prince in a movie and looked down at his violin. She placed the flower she made next to her sister's, since he didn't took it from her. She wondered if Syrrus was angry with her. "Haha, I made it with my sister, she taught me how to do it." May said with a giggle and hugs Risa. "Okay now, I'll go back to my room now~" she said cheerfully and skips out of the room, leaving the two alone again.

Seeing how this situation got more awkward, she looked down and was silent for a few moments. "I'm sorry Syrrus that I just left you alone awhile ago...." apologized and looked down at the flowers. "It doesn't mean I don't like you... I was just afraid of what you just told me... I don't know why though..." she said, putting her hand on her heart as if she can feel her heart beating fast.
