Spoiled little Rich Boy

Risa excused again herself from the group of boys since she wasn't used to the crowd and was pulled by Alex. "Thanks Alex, you really save me there..." she said and sighed in relief and they both went outside the ballroom. "No problem, and I even managed to escape from my friends as well, I think they are getting drunk, and I don't want to be their little toy for fun as well." he said "Haha, making fun of you is like their number one fun thing to do huh?" she teased a bit as Alex said "N-not really, they are just bored, I guess." and they continued to walk through the mansion alone together.

They continued to talk about things and they ended up at a dead end "Risa... can I say something to you... I mean it's really somethign very important for me so, will you please listen..." Alex said "Hm? Of course Alex, what is it?" she asked and waited him to say something. She noticed that his cheeks are getting red by the minute. "Well.... it's been awhile since we were like classmates right... and we have been hanging around from time to time... I thought you were just a good friend of mine but then... I started to like you... you know." he said as Risa was speechless at first and she didn't know what to say. "I.. I like you too Alex." she said with a smile "You don't understand, I like you, I mean... I love you.." he finally said it and his face turned red all over to his ears as well.

Risa's face also turned completely red from the sudden confession and she didn't know what to say as well. "Uhm.... I'm sorry to tell you this but from the very beginning, I didn't even considered you as a friend... well, that was what I thought, I didn't actually know how to treat someone like a friend, I've always been alone this time, so I thought you were just talking to me for some help for school, you know, like a fellow classmate..." she said and tightened her grip on her dress. "....I don't know if I can look at you in 'that' kind of way...." she said as Alex looked down, and looked sad. "B-but... if you are willing... then....c-can we starts a 'friends' for now...." she said and holds his pinky as Alex flinched and he started to smile again. "I-if that is alright with you t-then, it's fine with me." he said as Risa smiled back at him.

Syrrus watched as Tabatha leaned her head against his shoulder, something he could easily provide. He could just as easily provide a kiss on the forehead and lips too, if it was needed. Anything to not have to go back to his cottage. He wanted a lifestyle like Tabatha, to live without worry, to have everything he wanted with the snap of his fingers. It sounded awfully shallow and perhaps it was but after spending years and years on the street he thought himself to have the right to wish such a thing of life.

Syrrus placed both his arms around the young lady who he was tricking something awfully without even feeling the slightest of guilt. It was her own fault to believe in him really and he had never said those words to her, those words which meant that he did indeed have feelings for her, feelings which he didn't have for anyone. He was cold that way, little Syrrus but he figured love hurt a little bit too much to be worth it in the end, especially seeing as he was going to die alone anyway. He figured making the best out of life was the answer to everything.

"This is lovely Syrrus." Tabatha said and looked up and into his eyes. He smiled down at her and his response made her cheeks blush heavily. "Anything for you, my queen." He always knew what to say. It was easy enough as a novice poet. Women didn't admit it, they never did, but they loved clichés, to be the princess on the other side of the wall, the one the prince loved more than life itself. How was it wrong for him not to deny her this? She clearly wanted a prince charming and was it truly wrong of him to give her what she wanted.

Risa and Alex were getting along as 'friends' and were having a great time together but then Alex had to go somewhere now since he got a call from his work. "Is that so? No problem, work is important right? Don't worry about me so much." she said to Alex, who was a bit disappointed in leaving her alone at the party. "Well, if you say so, but give me a call if you need something, okay?" he said as he pats her shoulder and leaves the party in a hurry. Risa watched him run in a hurry.

After that, she walks back inside the ballroom and saw Syrrus and Tabatha having a good time together. 'Hmmm... so maybe they are boyfriend and girlfriend, I'm not too sure, but he seems to be enjoying her company.' she thought, somehow she felt a pain in her chest. 'Hm? Am I sick or something?' she wondered and continued to watch them being intimate. But then she couldn't take it anymore and goes over to a corner and watches everyone interact with each other.

But as she watches the people around her having a great time, it seems like she was back in her distant and lonely world again. "I knew it.... I shouldn't have come to this party... I knew I would end up this way..." she said softly to herself. She felt that the people around her were trying to tell her that she doesn't belong to this kind of party. 'Maybe I'm just being paranoid here..." she thought as she looked at some couples happily chatting with each other and even holding each other intimately as well.

Syrrus dance with Tabatha ended rather quickly, as soon as he had seen Risa enter the room in fact. She looked awfully lonely, something he could not have. He bowed before the queen and hurried along, leaving Tabatha to look confused and out of place, not for very long though seeing as another guy quickly grabbed her attention.

Syrrus slide up next to Risa, holding a plate with fruit and chicken in one hand. "Evening princess, You look awfully down trodden, anything I can do for you?" He gave her a smiled as he popped a grape into his mouth with thumb and finger. Flicking it.

Syrrus didn't wish the girl to look so sad, not today of all days. This was a great party of make believe, something he didn't often get to join, and not because he wasn't invited, more because no one had the imagination to conjure one, so to speak. He felt rather odd too, this was the only party where he hadn't drunk his own weight in alcohol, perhaps it was the company, most of the other guys seemed drunk out of their skull for now.

He assumed he could always ask Risa to dance with him again, as she didn't look the be the drinking type either, something he felt rather silly about. He wanted to do something special for her, to keep her happy but apparently the glass slippers, the 'Princess' part, the dance or the bowing his knees and singing to her was enough. She was quite the complex girl when he thought about it, he had thought that he had figured her all out. She liked her books, poems and fairytales, why was this so hard? Perhaps she did indeed have feelings for that Alice bloke, it would explain a lot.

Risa then hears someone ask her a question and it was Syrrus and a forced smile appeared on her face. "O-oh, Syrrus, hey there." she said and sees him eating some fruits and some chicken as well. Syrrus has always been there for her whenever she needed company. The feeling of loneliness faded away almost immediately when he called her out. "I'm fine, as you can see, I'm a bit tired from talking too much to people." she simply said and sighed, looking down.

"As I thought, I guess I'm still not used to this so-called party huh...." she mumbled to herself with a sad smile and looked at her glass slippers that was given to her by Syrrus. "Well, I am grateful to you, since you even gave me these glass slippers..." she said and looked up at him. "Well, as thank you for these, do you perhaps want something in return?" she asked, only expecting something simple of a request from him. "Well of course, something I could do, I'd be willingly to do anything you want." she smile innocently, her hand on top of the other and waits for his answer patiently.

Usually, being this thankful to a guy, she would just give him a book but to Syrrus, it seems like she thought of him different. Different from the other guys, but of course, she wasn't aware of it yet. Risa was usually the shy girl around people, especially to guys. She wouldn't be the first to even talk to one. But when they try to talk to her, she sometimes would stutter in front of them. But today, she wasn't shy in front of him.

"How about a kiss?" Syrrus asked, smiling down at her. It was the only thing he wanted that she could give him, he supposed. Unless she was hiding a mansion and a billion dollars in that pretty dress of hers. Which he highly doubted. No woman could carry something like that around. No, unfortunately his life would not be able to be that simple. He did however not assume that she would kiss him either, it was merely another of his one liners. Syrrus sometimes wondered if he was something but one liners. He assumed not, seeing that no one wanted something else from him he figured it wasn't all bad.

Syrrus looked out upon the dance floor, popping another grape into his mouth, enjoying it much. He loved fruit almost as much as he loved luxury. He admitted to himself that he wouldn't mind pretending to love Tabatha, would that make his life all the better. Love was a shallow thing, something that existed in beautiful books and not in real life. Surviving was what mattered there, not fancy dresses and charming men, even if he preferred it like that.

Watching Tabatha dance around with different boys made him feel nothing however, which was why he felt rather odd about it. He figured some sort toxic pain should have filtered his brain, but he felt none of the sort, not even a little. Perhaps he was just that shallow, she meant nothing to him.

"A.. k-k-k-kiss?!" Risa stuttered and now her cheeks were flushed from the thing she was about to do next to him. She looked down and held her dress and she couldn't even look at him in the eyes. 'A kiss?! H-how should I do that?!' she thought to herself and was trembling from embarrassment, even though she hasn't even started it yet. But kissing a boy so suddenly like this, she wasn't ready. Her heart wasn't ready for this kind of thing as well. 'W-well I told him I could do anything he wanted.... s-so I have to, right?!' she wondered as to how is she going to kiss him as she slowly looks at Syrrus.

'Ah! W-what do I do now?!' she mentally panicked as she nodded "O-okay.... I'll kiss you..." she said and steps forward to him and she slowly closes her distance with him. Risa closed her eyes, her cheek still flushed as she kissed him on his cheek. After kissing him, she takes a step back and covers her mouth with her hand. 'I.. I KISSED SOMEONE FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!' she thought and her thoughts were all over the place as her cheeks whole face turned bright red from the embarrassment. She couldn't look at Syrrus at first but then she had to ask him something. "W-was that... k-kiss, okay with you?" she asked him, still not sure if he was satisfied with just a mere kiss on his cheek, is what she thought. But kissing him on the cheek was already too much for her to handle.

Risa puts her hands on both her cheeks as she felt hot from the embarrassment and turned to look away. "I-I'm s-so sorry if that kiss wasn't enough to satisfy you Syrrus.... i-it's just that a kiss like that is almost too much for me already.... b-but then maybe a kiss on your cheek isn't enough for you I guess... oh no... w-what do I do!" she stuttered and was a bit in a panic.

Syrrus blinked when he felt her lips upon his cheek, peering down at her feet, she clearly had to stand on her toes to reach him, it was rather adorable how tall he was comparison to her. He hadn't expect her to give him a peck on the cheek however, seeing as he had been staring out over the dance floor and twitched when it happened, more likely expecting a hand than a pair of lips. However, he smirked slightly at her, finding her even more adorable now when her cheeks was burning in that pretty hue.

"I am afraid not my princess, that is in fact a peck and not a proper kiss." He placed his plate with food to the side, so he could turn towards her with his arms crossed over his chest and a wider smile on his lips. "However, I will admit it is highly improper of a man to wait for his lady to kiss him, therefore I will instead take that kiss." He placed a finger upon her lips and pretended as if he took something into the palm of his hand. "And keep it for later. Remember!" He put the non existing item in his pocket. "That you have reserved your first kiss for me." He winked at her. It was only a bit of fun, really. However, Syrrus had already started to plan how to snatch away her first kiss, the one reserved for him. He would do it his own way, romantic. Because romance was the only thing the young man knew anything off.

"M-my w-what?!" Risa blushed even harder "M-m-my first k-kiss?!" she said and covered her mouth. 'He said later! S-so that means it would be soon? Or maybe after the party? Or maybe tomorrow? I'm not too sure!' she wondered and mentally panicked and looked up at Syrrus. "I... I'm not too sure about my first kiss, I'm not ready to k-k-kiss you Syrrus!" she whined and was still covering her lips with her hands as if she was a little kid who was being all adorable and shy.

The young lady wasn't too sure on what to do next after hearing him say that he will have her first kiss. But then she remembered Alex, she was his friend. But he just confessed to her and now Syrrus is now asking for her first kiss as well. She was in a pickle about all the things that is happening now and just couldn't decide. "S-syrrus... b-but isn't the first kiss important, since you should kiss the person you love, isn't it like that?" she asked shyly. "I mean... if you love someone seriously, shouldn't you kiss her rather than me? I mean that's what I think... about my first kiss..." she added.

"Odd sentiment." Syrrus said, pondering over her question. He assumed that she had gotten all that from her books about princes and fairies, he wasn't certain he understand how it could have a real importance, except the fact that it was a beautiful act. "I suppose I understand your logic, but if I look it from another point of view. In china it's redeemed rude to kiss anyone before the kiss at marriage. While in France you kiss to greet a friend." He looked down at her, and got back to his plate of chicken and fruit. He had never seen a great importance in the kiss, he kissed women all the time but he also followed them to their bedrooms, so it perhaps didn't count as much.

He popped some chicken into his mouth, chewing slowly while he thought about the idea of a true loves kiss. It was mumbo-jumbo, first of all a kiss never felt as much as a tail told that it would, nor did it seem strong enough to shake your world. Syrrus did know this, for he had in fact loved a woman once but she was nowhere to be found now, off to marry her fiancé in Europe. Hence why Syrrus was stuck with Tabatha and the rest of the towns female population. He didn't much care for many of them, they were all sweet as sugar and he valued them highly, but would never trust them.

"W-well... that's true but... I still believe that one should kiss their true love..." Risa said as she remembered that Syrrus was used to kissing other women. Suddenly, she felt saddened about the fact that he would kiss any girl. She looked down then at Syrrus "I'm sorry Syrrus, b-but I think you should kiss someone who you really cherish, and not fool around anymore..." she said and turned around. "I'm sorry, I think I need to go home now..." she said, in disappointment as she starts walking away from Syrrus from the ball room.

She thought that Syrrus was different from all the other guys but she thought wrong. "I'm too stupid to even think about him being different..." she said softly to herself while walking away from Syrrus as she called upon a cab nearby the street. She didn't care if people looked at her weirdly for dressing up like that as she gets into the cab and tells the driver her address.

When she finally made it back to her house, her mother was still awake, apparently, she was waiting or Risa to come back home since she was worried. Her mother asked her about the party she said it was fine and went upstairs to her room. She takes off her mask and dress, after that she took off her glass slippers, which was given by Syrrus. She smiled but then her smiled faded away when she remembered Syrrus. She puts it in an old shoe box and puts the box in her walk in closet. She sighed heavily and puts on her pajamas and lies down on the floor. "I guess I won't be talking to him from now on huh..." she said as a tear appeared in her eyes. "Huh.... whats this... why am I crying?" she asked herself as she tried to stop the tears but couldn't, she kept on crying until she cried herself to sleep.

The first thought that went through Syrrus head was that he had to explain. For some reason he felt terribly saddened that she could look upon him with eyes that almost shouted what a horrible person he was. He didn't mind that people thought that of him, but he did owe her a explination. Which was why he left his stupid hat and his cape, together with the plate of food and hurried after her. With his violin in hand, of course.

Now, the reasonable thing would be to knock on the door and be let in, but that wasn't his way. Instead he decided to whistle, over and over to try and get her attention. He would be able to get the entire world's attention with the next idea he had, which was why he started to climb the wall, he used the strong ivy as support, climbing upwards like a spider. He was rather good at it in fact, even if he was terrified of height. "I am going to die." He mumbled to himself. "Don't look down, Syrrus old boy, don't look-- Down! Argh!" He looked down and gripped the ivy with legs and fingers as hard as he possibly could. It was surprising the man could even wear high shoes without feeling like he was going to fall off the edge of the world.

Risa opened her eyes and she looked at the mirror beside her. "Ugh.. I look terrible..." she said as she decided to wash her face clean but then after washing her face, she hears something from outside her window. She walks over to her window and figured it might be just some cat nearby but then, to her surprise, it was Syrrus. "S-Syrrus! W-what are you doing here? Get down or you might fall." she said worriedly as she noticed some of her neighbors already watching them. She decided to just pull him up, even though it was a bit hard for her with he frail arms.

As she pulled him up to her room safely she sighed in relief and sat down on her bed. "You.. what are you doing here Syrrus? What happened to the party? Is it finished already?" she asked and sighed as she remembered why she left the party in a hurry. "A-anyway, you need to go home Syrrus, I still need some sleep for school tomorrow." she said as she makes her way to the door. She didn't want to hear an explanation from him, she couldn't even look at him in the eyes.

"Syrrus....I'm just gonna ask this, why did you follow me here? Shouldn't you be with Tabatha or some other girl...?" she said, somehow she used it in a cold and a more distant tone.

"I am currently falling to my death I- Agh! Think..." He climbed even higher, trying his hardest to find some sort of good support for his feet. He didn't think twice about his other potions. Why was it important that Risa understood what he was going to do? It was hard to tell, he certainly didn't know the reason, nor did he have the ability to think many other things than 'I am going to die. I am going to die. I am going to fall down and snap my neck. I am going to die.'. it wasn't until she turned around to get back inside and he managed to take hold of the windowsill and almost fall, properly this time.

"Leyla!!" He shouted, grabbing on to the window sill, staring down at the dark ground below. "Her-- Her name was Leyla." He said, slower as he looked up at her, using what little strange he had in his arms to pull himself up. The strong support of his upper body was all he needed to feel safe, even if his legs was dangling like Christmas decorations from a roof top.

"It was about three years ago. I- That's not the actually reason to why I try my hardest to please women. I understand that you don't want to speak to me, ever, after this. But please, let me explain and then you can decide what I am to do from there. You can even tell me to never look at you, ever again. Please just- Just listen to me." He said as he was pulled into the room, shaking like a leaf in the wind. "Please, you owe me nothing really but it is either telling your to your face or entering a Church to get my sins out of my head, and I am pretty sure I'll burst into flames as soon as I set a foot in there."

She heard him say a girl's name 'Was that a girl like a lover to him back then....?' she wondered as she watched him pleading to listen to him. Risa didn't looked at him at first but then decided to listen to him. "Okay... I'll listen to you, so please keep your voice down." she simply said as she made him she sat on her bed, ready for him to tell his side of the story.

Risa looked at him, somehow she sensed that something in him was hurting as well but then at the same time, she didn't want to see it as well. She held onto her pillow beside her and decided to hug it while she was listening to him explain everything to her. Feeling a bit guilty, she said "Y-you can sit here beside me if you want..." she said softly, not looking at him.

((sorry, it's short, my brain isn't working too well right now))

"No I- I'd rather pace around while I talk, it calms my nerves." He mumbled to himself, looking down at his hand, then at Risa and then back down at his feet before he started to move, back and forth across the room. "Right I eh- No one knows about this and I would prefer if no one knew. I am dirt poor." He said, gesturing with both arms and smiling wide, before looking rather down trodden as he continued to walk back and forth. "And I don't mean dirt poor as in 'I can't eat out more than one time a month' or 'I am behind on the bill' poor. I have not a scent to my name. The only cloths I own is the one either given to me by random women, one reason to why I have this habit to go all out and try my hardest to flatter them, or my school uniform, hence why you probably haven't seen my wear any other cloths." He took a deep breath before continuing. "I live in a small, no windows or working door, cottage just outside of town, it has no heating or working electricity, hence why I try extremely hard to get a weekend date so I won't starve t death over the weekend, even if that would take a month or so... It isn't a very nice feeling." He turned and looked at her, not sure what to say.

"My father died in the war, mother died shortly after that and I ended up living with my grandfather, who didn't live for that long either. He was a violin maker." He gestured towards his violin that hang over his back. "I eh- Was playing it on the streets when I was about six to earn some money for bread. I realize this is all a stupid excuse, especially seeing as I am tricking women with money and homes so I can survive, but I tend to have a terrible reputation, so no one will hire me for a simple normal job. Not that a weekend job can pay for rent, food and clothes for a month."

"I am no one. I have nothing."

Risa continued to listen to him until the truth was finally revealed. Now she knows the reasons why he would always spoil girls with welcome arms and why he would almost date any women he met. "Syrrus, I'm sorry I acted so cold towards you..." she said as she walks over to him and tries to comfort him by giving him a warm hug as she pats his head softly like she would to a child. "You've been through a lot I suppose, huh?" she said softly to him while hugging him as she pulls away and looked at him in his eyes as she noticed she was crying again. It seemed like she was crying for him. "No wonder you had to endure those hard days alone..." she said.

Looking at him, it seems he is fine but then if you really know his true story behind him, it was just sad. She slowly puts her hands on both his cheeks and tried to smile as well. "Haha, I'm sorry if I'm crying again.... I'm turning into a crybaby again huh..." she said while wiping her tears away with her fingers. Risa then had an idea "How about living in with us for awhile, and as for the money, I think my mom knows a few people who is looking for part time workers, and I'm sure it has good pay as well." she said as she held his hand and smiled again.

Risa was determined to help him with his problem and made up her mind about it. "Consider it as my apology for not giving my first kiss to you." she still remembered what they talked about the whole first kisses thing. "I mean, even if you say that kisses are like greetings or weren't allowed before marriage or something like that..." she looked down "...I still believe that I should reserve my first kiss to the man I truly love.." she said and smile at Syrrus.

Syrrus blinked, feeling slightly surprised over how the young lady was acting. He hadn't expect tears, nor those eyes so filled with pity, in fact, he felt himself as it was one of the worse sob story known to man. He himself would simply smiled down at her and raise a eyebrow slightly, she was too sweet. "No need to shed tears for me darling. I am stronger than I look." He patted himself on his chest, twice, like a knight giving someone his blessing, odd thing to do but it felt right.

When she mentioned helping ihm he would blink, confused before quickly shaking his head. "No no, that isn't needed! I can care for myself, don't you worry... Even if it's awfully sweet of you. I am not one do dump my feelings or background over someone, especially not a woman I've grown to enjoy the company off. No, leave that to the evil Witches of the woods." He smirked. Tabatha sure reminded him off a witch at least.

She mentioned to value of a kiss again, he assumed all he could to was to nod and agree with her. It was up to her to value it the way she wanted. He was not one to blame her for it, nor was he one to question it. "I understand. Don't worry. I was merely joking back at the party. Sure I would love to kiss you, who wouldn't? But I'm not one to trick the women I actually do like."

"Are you sure about that? How about we just try it for like a month and see how you will do, I really wanna help you Syrrus." Risa simply said, worried sick for his way of living. "I don't usually offer these kinds of things to just anyone, so can you please accept the offer, I'll even try to talk to my mom about it." she said, trying to persuade him with everything she got. "You shouldn't be living like this Syrrus...." she mumbled softly as she looked down, kind of disappointed he wasn't going to accept her offer.

"But if you really don't want to, then I won't force you to anymore..." she said sadly. But then he said something about the kiss. "Oh no no, of course men wouldn't even dream about kissing someone like me, to other men, I'm like a boring book to them..." she said and blushed at his flattery. "Do you have a girl you like? Is she someone I know?" she asked with an innocent smile.

Syrrus felt awfully uncomfortable, he never expected actual help and it would stab his reputation in the gut would he accept it. If he didn't have a way to work around it. "Well I- I suppose it would be rude of me not to accept your offer. Thank you." He gave her a smile and stroke the back of his hand over her cheek. She had to talk to her mother first anyhow, and he wasn't to certain a lady would like a grown man to stay in her house without knowing him. Hopefully she didn't know him or everything would get very embarrassing.

She asked if he have had a girl on his mind. This caused him to frown, but not because he thought her question to be rude or even offensive, only because it still felt weird and painful to talk about. "Well I Eh- I did have a girl, once, long time ago now." He waved a hand dismissively. "She wasn't really mine, either. Remember the exchange student Leyla?" Probably not, most people didn't remember her and Syrrus doubted Risa would neither.

Risa smiled and nodded "Okay then, I'll let mother know tomorrow first thing in the morning, so you better expect good news tomorrow as well." she said with a smile. She was glad that Syrrus accepted her offer in the end.

Risa was a bit shocked when he said the name Leyla again. She wondered if he really knew this Leyla person as well. "Leyla was actually one of the students who would actually talk to me in class, and she was also the kind of person who was interested in books as well, she was.... a very kind person... a gentle one to be exact." she said. She remembered her being the most frail but also smart person in class. Leyla would usually follow her around that time as well. Leyla would always say they are friends but of course, Risa at that time didn't considered her being a friend but only sees her as a classmate who is curious about things as well.

"Leyla was one of those people who has the looks but she still had this very gentle soul in her as well.... back then I didn't really considered her as a friend but now that I think about it.... she usually follows me everywhere and we would eat together as well.... I think she was my first friend here in college..." she said. with a sad smile.

Syrrus was shuffling in the spot slightly. Hearing someone speak so well about the woman he had loved caused him to feel a bit ill at ease, not because he disliked hearing good things about her! Quite the opposite, but it stung like wild fire in his heart. "Yes that's her." He added, to a sure her that they were indeed talking about the same girl. "She lived here in town for a year or so... We went out once or twice, nothing special." Nothing special no, no big capes or ballroom dresses. Only a shared drink of water, the sky and a light conversation under a tree.

"She stole my heart." He chuckled, it sounded so foolish, coming from him but he suspected that Risa wanted to know if he indeed did have any feeling for anyone, not that he could understand why. He saw no purpose in it, not a single one. "But she had to go back home, back to France where her eh... Fiancé was waiting."

Indeed, the pretty little girl was getting married and probably was still married. So the woman that had caught his heart and that he had kissed with meaning never came back and he never heard a single word from her again. It was rather saddening to think about but nothing he couldn't ignore.

"Leyla was really dear to you, huh?" Somehow saying this to him felt like she just stabbed herself on her chest and it hurt. But she kept on a calm and composed face in front of Syrrus. Risa remembered that there were times when she was talking about the guy she used to love, that sometimes she was always crying after telling her about him. Risa didn't want to tell this to Syrrus, but seeing as how she loved him very much back then, she thought it was the right thing to do.

"Syrrus... there is something that I want to tell you.." she said and took a deep breathe and looked at him and smiled. "You know, back then when we were together, sometimes she would tell me about that she loved." she said and tried to remain composed as usual. "She said that the man she loved so very dearly, is a very kind, funny, loving gentleman, who is always a worrywart about her.... and I think that man she was talking about was you Syrrus..." she said with a sad smile.

'But then... she would always cry at the end after telling me such loving words...' is what she was supposed to say to Syrrus but then she didn't want to tell him more about Leyla. Why did she not want to tell him about this to Syrrus? It made her confused.

Syrrus had to swallow hard, and after spending a few minutes standing still he had no other choice but to start walking back and forth across the floor again. Nothing that was said there and then mattered, the girl he had loved had left, leaving him behind, three years ago! If she had liked him or not wouldn't make the memories sweeter, it would only get harder to get rid of them. Question would build in his head if he took this all to heart, so instead of doing this he grit his teeth, turned around to face her and smiled slightly. "It doesn't matter now, it's been far too long do delve on it."

The young man scratched the back of his head, wondering for a moment what he would say or do. The fact that he even remembered Leyla's name after these many years was a surprise for him, which was why he quickly shook his head. "Any how, Risa, I should probably get going, I've told what I had to tell. But I am keeping that first kiss, just in case." Teasing of course, he winked. Getting back into his comfort zone.

"Yes..." she simply said and watched him leave the house. And when he did, Risa sighed and closed her window as she sat back on her bed and wondered if it was a good thing she didn't say all the truth about Leyla. After thinking about it, she decided to sleep.

Next day...

It was raining again, and Risa was putting back all of the borrowed books to their rightful places. She was now at the music station of the library and was looking through some books as she sighed. "I think this is like my 12th sigh today.... maybe I'm just tired is all.." she said to herself and goes back to the counter to do her job as a librarian. 'Syrrus.... it still looked like he still loves her... but then last night... he gave me some beautiful memories...' she thought while holding a book upside down.

Risa shakes her head 'No Risa, you are not allowed to fall in love with someone like him! You said it from the start remember?!' she mentally told herself as a hand reached to the book she was holding. "Huh..." she looked up and it was Alex. "Haha, hey there." he said. "You look spaced out, is something bothering you?" he asked nicely with a smile, like an angel. As Risa remembered that he confessed to her just last night and today, just seeing him, her cheeks blushed when he smiled at her. "Ah, y-yeah... I'm fine." she replied.

He laughed as he turned the book for her right side up. Alex chuckled softly "You were alright but you were reading the book upside down you know." Alex said. "W-w-was I?!" she said a bit loudly as the other librarians shushed her. "Ah sorry." she said to them as she looks back to Alex who was stopping himself from laughing at her. "W-why you..." she said as she lightly pinched both his cheeks as Alex chuckled softly and held her hands to stop her from pinching him, it looked like they were having lots of fun together as well.
