In the Splicers ® game, a character' s skills are detennined by
his Occupation (O.C.C.).
There are four basic types of skill categories : D.C.C. Skill
Programs (which are bundles of individual Elective Skills),
Elective Skills (additional skills learned through fonnal education
or training), Secondary Skills (picked up along the way)
and Com mon Skills (skills all characters know). Common
Skills are known to all characters, regardless of their O.C.C.,
and include: Basic Mathematics, Speak Native Language, and
Read and Write Native Language.
So you do get to have that skill without spending a slot for it.
