I'll let you split the points between Wildcat and Woodstock just in the same way that D. Rex and Celestialbody can split points between their armor and their own sidekicks.
Oh. I hadn't even thought of the Sidekicks. In my mind, they're still on-loan (I am remembering the conversation we had when we were first issued them).

When I said sidekicks, I meant their war mount and swarms, but yes, you can upgrade those bio weapons, too.

Well, I haven't because I keep expecting to give them back (and the BIO-E I've earned with it).

For my bio-e spending, I’m not sure what direction to go. I can upgrade Valkyrie’s armor easy enough. It’s only 10 points for a 30 MDC bump to my main body armor and 10 to all the other locations. That would make me one hell of a brick.

Option two is to take the one that upgrades my Critical hit range again for my main weapons of the Mantis Claws and the Velocity Cannon. That would put me at a crit range of 16-20 on them, and that is one hell of a lot of damage.

With this many points, I can also get the Mega upgrade for my Velocity Cannon to 4d6x10, and with my current critical range of 17-20, that just makes it nasty. I don’t want to overbalance things for Sherwood, though. The thing that world help to balance this is my low ammo capacity and how fast I would burn through my payload. No bullets, no bang.

Option three would be to increase my running speed. It’s 10 points for a 5mph boost. As it is, I’m not too sure about that, since I can always kick in my flight jets to get up close and personal if I need to.

Thoughts?

I doubt that the Chief will try to take back the Sidekicks with as well as the team is doing with them, especially as you keep leveling up. Consider the Sidekicks yours.

It’s up to you, but I will say that if you take any of option two, you will be drawing a lot of fire, even more than you are now. It is a risk you’ll have to consider going that way. Not to say you shouldn’t; it is a very real cool thing to dish out that much damage.

Psychie Psychie Toni has done this already, right? Each time she does, her Prowl and agility-related Skills take a hit, right?

Just remember how many times stealth has gotten Cerberus through time-consuming battles when the odds were wholly against us. This message comes to you from Your Scouty Guy, Chaska-mun a.k.a. Purr. =)

True. The other option for extra MDC is to go for a bio force field. The downside to that is the various damage reduction bonuses I have wouldn't apply to the force field, but I could get that.

The Mega upgrade is still very appealing to me.

Psychie Psychie Here are my mental meanderings on the subject. =)

Well, as long as you don't mind the "aggro" (a video gaming term you might be aware of), I say go for it. My only concern there is the huge nerfing to the Valkyrie's Automatic Dodge. Chaska's WyldKat relies heavily on Automatic Dodge to keep him safe ("What is best defense? No be there."). While Toni's Valkyrie can certainly take the hits, I think when things get hot, Toni will have to rely on not only the Valkyrie's firepower, but all of Cerberus's as once The Machine takes on a target, it seems to keep on it like a bulldog until either the target is destroyed or The Machine is.

That's a race Toni had better be prepared for because 2nd place means Death.

Hmm, I am debating on five options...not sure which one I want...

1) Double Opti Upgrade on the Mega Heat Cannon....the weapon she uses the most, and it would make the crit range be from 16-20
2) Double Opti Upgrade on the Acid Seed Cannon..
3) Bank the points and save up for Supernatural Strength...give her some better options for melee and other things
4) Super Regeneration - always helpful
5) some other option...more armor, more flight speed...some other enhancement

Open to ideas....

Jin's a sniper with Vital Points - I think #1 is the #1 option. If Toni catches aggro, it would be great if the rest of Cerberus would have the ability to rapidly drop targets on her.

If you're thinking defensively, #4 is the way to go. I've seen that Jin already has Quick Clotting Blood which combined with Super Regeneration probably means she can't bleed out unless it's the most severe of injuries.

Hmm. I can see your point there. I am thinking that with the amount of damage I'll be able to dish out along with the heavy armor and the resistances I have, I'll be able to take down the big targets out there that come for us quickly, and in a matter of fifteen to twenty minutes, I'll have my armor back to full strength once more, even if it has been blasted down to nearly nothing.

Yep. I like the sound of the Mega-Upgrade. I'm looking at being able to dish out 2d8x10 +40 in a single burst, and 4d6x10 +40 in a dual burst of both barrels. That will thin out the targets with a quickness. I'm going to get it.

With the Stealth Fields we all have, if there is a target that is detected by our foes, it will most likely be me in my heavy armor. In my opinion, that makes #4 less needed, along with the idea of more armor. An Opti Upgrade on your Heat Cannon and the Acid Seed Cannon would both only be 40 points. Or, you get just one and have 30 bio-e floating around that you can put to something else.

Sherwood Sherwood How does the Opti-Upgrade work with Critical bonuses granted by martial arts? For example, Chaska has Critical Strike on a Natural 18, 19, or 20. If he were to choose Opti-Upgrade for his Dual Heat Cannons, what would be the end result?

It would expand the range to 17-20, making it very worthwhile to get as you level up and that crit range increases.

Sherwood Sherwood Just to double check: I presume that the Mega-Upgrade would only apply to one of the weapon systems of the Harbinger Cannon and not to all the attacks from it, correct?
That is correct. If you want to have your spore launchers to be boosted that will take another purchase of the Mega-Upgrade for it.

So an extra 5%. Thanks! (For 35 BIO-E, if memory serves? Definitely not worth it for Chaska, but perhaps for someone else?). =)

Hope everyone's having a good Christmas Eve/Christmas Day out there!

The Opti-Upgrade is only 20 bio-e, so is a bit better than you think.

Ah! Cheaper is good, but like the old saying goes, "it is only a deal if you want it."

I think I'll be going for a furry Prehensile Tail (Main 94, +1 Action per Round, +20% to Climbing, +10% to Acrobatics and more) and the Resin Ducts (Main 87, can be thrown 50 feet, 2 Actions to create, can use 1/Round. Regenerates 8/hour). =) As time goes by, Chaska might add two more furry Prehensile Tails (the maximum is three).

If that's all right by you, Sherwood Sherwood ? What do you think of these?

True enough. I just wanted to make sure you knew the cost of the Opti-Upgrade.

The upgrades you want are fine with me.
