lol time sure flies. I still can’t believe that I’ve been on this site for almost 20 years.

Purr Purr you are up in the IC thread. Just a quick bump.

These past few years have just been a whirlwind for me...particularly this past year..so much going on, so much to manage...I am happy I have been able to escape with you, Sherwood, and Psychie and everyone else into these worlds. These games and you all have helped me manage the chaos and the demons at times, and continue to do so.

Yeah it was the Exalted game where we met Purr Purr ;-)

Gun Spiders 4 and 5 both target Chaska, spraying laser fire around you where you used to be, but with your maneuverability, you swerve out of the way. (Unless you don't want to dodge for some reason, that is.)
(bold mine) Sherwood Sherwood

Hee hee! =)

Yup. One of the drawbacks of the new Dreadnaught armor. It is sloooooow, and it clearly states with no confusion that it cannot get any higher.
Holy cow. Glad you have all of those Resistances in Valkyrie! By comparison, WyldKat is a "Dodge-tank" (highly defensive, but with nowhere near the punch of your Valkyrie). =)

I thought about the change for a long time, and with the damage resistances I bought, I have the equivalent of 1,200 MDC of body armor with lots of firepower. I can take a lot of punishment before having to call it quits in a fight.

Sherwood Sherwood Both Chaska and Woodstock have Perception modifiers of +5. I have no idea what the Perception modifiers are for the Sidekicks because I'm not anywhere near my books.

I'm kinda partial to the Stalker War Mount. Sneaky kitty with lots of rockets on it, and no need to buy the Stealth upgrade to it since it already comes with it. But the Tunnel Rat has some nice features to it, too.
I know. The sneaky kitty was at the top of my list. The fun I could have with that. Lol the only thing that swayed me was that I wouldn't be able to full capitalize on its toxins against the machines.

The Assault Slayer must have picked up a glimpse of you on its radar
Sherwood Sherwood Radar? But Chaska's not airborne?

Of course, I don't mind that it spotted Chaska while he was standing still some other way, but... does radar work differently in your games or something? I want to know for future reference.

This is a (very brief video on) how radar works and how I understand radar. How does it work in this game, please?

I was thinking that you were jetting around the corner at high speed before you ended up landing and going stealthy, therefore the combination of your biojets moving you so fast that your stealth field couldn't compensate as fast as needed and the glimpse of you gave it a serious minus to accurately acquire you, but it still had a chance to score a hit if it had rolled a 20, but it missed.

High speed, yes. High altitude, no. Radar does not function against ground targets in real life. Now, in sci fi, there is such thing as ground radar (remember the two types of AJAX Veritechs? One has ground radar, but the other doesn't?). Heh!

But I can't tell which you mean?

You seem to believe standard radar works on the ground. It doesn't. Hence helicopter pilots making use of NOE flying (Nap-of-Earth) for over 50 years. So since you are stating that radar works some other way, I need to know what it is.

I would not have had Chaska go high speed if I knew you thought radar worked this way. So again, I have to ask you so I don't make this mistake in the future - how does radar work in your game? Apparently, speed is a factor and altitude isn't?

P.S. Again, I don't mind Chaska getting "caught" by the Assault Slayer. I'm not trying to get out of that - I'm trying to figure out how not to get caught again by your radar sci fi rules that I don't know. Heh! =)

I'm going to go with that, otherwise it makes the stealth field nigh impossible to counteract. It won't completely negate the invisibility of the stealth field, but it will make it possible for the Machine to detect you on occasion.

If it's the Stealth Field you want to nail, I recommend motion detection and echo-location. A Stealth Field doesn't stop physics.

True. Some of your opponents will have stuff like that, but not all.
Thanks for being patient with my curiosity-fueled questions. You know I'm just trying to understand your gaming world as to better play in it! =)

I’ve been busy with Real Life, but I’ll have IC posts up soon.

D. Rex D. Rex and celestialbody celestialbody how are you coming along in the work in your characters? Any help that I can offer?

Bit by bit its coming along. Slowly lol. I just need to do a good bit of writing down and looking through all the skills. Got to do a lot of jumping about on the phone. Lol palladium seems to be a bit trickier in that regard for me. I hope to have a chunk of it posted tonight.
