Psychie Psychie the power strike from the Gun Spider hits you hard, and you take a total of 70 MD before any damage reductions are calculated.

Both Jin and Toni hit the Spider, the heat blast incinerating the human face on the robot, causing blood and ick to spray out over Toni’s armor, causing heavy damage to the cyborg.

Then Toni adds her own dual blade strike to the Spider, punching into it deep and covering your armor with motor oil and other nasty stuff. It stops struggling and goes limp, flames and electrical sparks arching off the ruined robot.

Purr Purr you have gained the advantage of stealth again, and are within fifty feet of the advancing Assault Slayer. Any attack you perform will have the effect of a critical strike from behind. Chaska is up.

Silent and still as a statue, Chaska waits with the seemingly-endless patience of a stony idol until the titanic Assault Slayer is at its closest and most-vulnerable. Casually attempting to slowly walk underneath it, Chaska coolly waits until he thinks he has the best shot - then he lights up his Organic Thrusters and draws his Dual Bio-Energy Blades to their fullest length of five feet each. Flying up at its belly, Chaska tries to deliver a Critical Strike from Behind with both blades at full power.

These will be the very first strikes of these brand-new weapons. Like his ancestors of old, he believes the best weapons are those tested and tried in true combat - and never has melee combat been more true for the last warrior of House Apollo than now. For when is it more appropriate than to be at your most-effective than when the lives of those close to you are being threatened?

As he strikes, Chaska shouts in the tradition of the Lost Warriors. "Machine! Die properly!"

Strike modifier at present: +19
Total Damage = 6d12+70 M.D. x 2 (surprise attack - Critical Strike from Rear).
(3d12+35 per blade).

Chaska's patience has paid off when the Assault Slayer moves forward, and the Deliveryman slips up under the robot and leaps up and thrusts his twin blades up into the belly of the robot. The twin blades bite deep into the heart of the Assault Slayer, causing massive damage, and you are just barely able to evade the falling ruin of the now defunct robot from falling on you.

Both fights are now moving out of combat time.

Axel looks over at the ruins of one of the Gun Spiders and shudders. "Holy crap, those things are horrible. Screaming human faces melded into a robot body? Did you hear the screams of the one, begging her mommy to save her? Hell. This Legion must die."

Archos, normally a silent one, nods in agreement. "No one will argue with that. The Machine is bad; twisted. This Legion is truly evil, worse than the Machine." He looks out at the open hole in the wall where one of his war hawks can be seen flying in circles. "Beta says it is clear for the moment, but there are robots everywhere. More are sure to come. We need to go."

Jin for a moment kneels down at one of the fallen gun spidersand takes a close look at it, not touching it but just taking a look at it. Jin shook her head silently at it and stood up, prepared to move on.

“The sooner we get in position, the sooner we can try and kill this horrible machine.”

Toni yanks her Mantis Blades free of the remains of the Gun Spider and steps back from it with disgust written all over her face. She looks over at Jin and says, "Agreed. Lets get the hell out of here and kill this bitch. Chaska! Are you done out there yet? We gotta go."
