Sofía had been delighted to finally figure out her dilemma with the math she had to do but was disgusted by the scent of coffee, damn drink is too bitter. She could tell Lazaro must’ve been uncomfortable when he spoke of his parents. She turned to him with a smile “Our parents would get along then,” she looked at him from behind the rim of her cup “My father had his own vice, but instead of cigars, it was alcohol.” it had never bothered her to say her father drank, because she knew he wasn’t an alcoholic. After all the poor man did have a daughter to raise and it may have taken her all of elementary school before she realized it, but she knew her mother’s death had a harsh impact on him “Just so you know, I about started going here when you gratuated.” she added to answer Lazaro’s question.
