Each step made a small sound of her feet walking down the dark hollow halls. While she walked down the halls other looked at her with disappointment as if she was no longer welcomed in this sanctuary. Reaching a giant double door it slowly started opening bursting wind shot out of it as if it was concealing the wind for many of years. Smirking under her hood she stepped into the room as the doors slowly closed behind her. Walking past a line of people she knew as "allies" she continued down the walkway which had the "allies" on both sides standing across from each other all leading to the main seat, where a boy with white hair sat with his fist in his cheek.

Reaching the steps to head up to his throne she got on one knee and bowed her head in respect to him. The boy slowly opened his eyes as the nameless soldiers who were across from each other all picked their weapons up and slammed them on the ground and all turned the same direction and walked out of the room in a unified manner. She looked back to see them finally leave the gigantic room so then she turned back to the white haired boy standing up she lifted her hood off her head and starred at him with her red orbs.

"Sir L the attack on Sydney was successful I convinced the Relcs "leader" to at least cooperate with us. He feels the same towards Lord Death the fact that he allows his students to kill the mans "Race" even pushing them into hiding in certain areas. Short way to put it, he's pissed about the mass murders of Relc."

The boy didn't respond to her with words yet a facial expression. He was smiling, actually smiling!? She had a smirk on her face feeling like she deeply impressed her leader. Pride filled in her heart she turned to see someone step out the shadow, of course it was someone she wasn't so fond of, but worked with for L's sake. When the boy stood by her side she looked him up and down before looking back at L waiting for the man beside her to speak.

Zilong

Walking from the shadows after hearing Arachnid speak he laughed and clapped in amusement. Standing by her side he had a smirk on his face as he seen she gave him a disgusted look then when she started to check him out he gave her a wink.

"Like what you see? Don't stare to hard, HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Zilong then turned his attention to Life which he gave a short bow then glared at the man with white hair.

"So I have some good and bad news." Waiting for Life's reaction which was a nod as acknowledgment Zilong sighed and opened his mouth again. "I found the location of the right leg sir. Though where it's at is in the Mahila mountains. You know where those Eskimos be at? Yeah there, heh." He had a smirk on his face with his fist on his hips looking at Arachnid with a wink again which made her look away from him. "Oh come on you know you want this! A body of a warrior for ya baby!" He laughed again out loud.

Arachnid

"If we weren't on the same side I promise I'd have my babies shred your skin into millions of pieces. Maybe I should do that anyway when you're not looking. Oh the joy my children would have getting to hear your screams as they feast off the very flesh of a "warrior's body"." She said with hatred in her voice and a little bit of scoff. Her red orbs glared at Zilong for some time before looking back at Life to see his reaction.

Zilong
o_1biviss6b1ega1s9tqv3rmq15top.jpg
"Is that so? Maybe you should do it for them and let them get the left overs! It's more sexy that way you know? A manly way to die to a beautiful witch such as yourself hehe!~" Zilong continued to tease her until a rush of wind blasted towards them making Arachnid to block her face with her arms and Zilong's long ponytail to sway from the rush of wind.

"My bad."

L.I.F.E

Akise.Aru.full.1192374.jpg
"Both of you done well." His message was short and cold, but knew it would make them both feel some type of special even being able to get acknowledge from him. Life looked at the giant medieval chandelier above him and sighed. his pink orbs peered down at the two and he had another smirk on his face before opening his mouth once more.

"So it was successful to get the control of that mans trust? I'm glad, to think it was a human to control those Relc. Or can you even call him human? A mad man at that could probably even be considered a Kishin. Maybe or maybe not. Do tell though Zilong what made you come back so sudden before capturing it? Was it's protection that made you come back?" Seeing the both nodded after their questioning so Life sighed. "So it's going to be harder then I thought. We will hold off on that Artifact for now we should conduct business in Japan next. I heard word on the street a powerful werewolf is there in the hiding causing trouble for them. Maybe we can execute this said big bad wolf? Giving us another good image to the world while still masking the true identity?" They both nodded. "Zilong I'll leave that mission to you and Arachnid I need to ask of you a favor before you step out to your other objective I requested earlier." She nodded while Zilong walked to the exit of the room and put a duce sign up before the doors opened and we walked out with them closing behind him.

"Can you do me a favor and go free the man who should not be named? You know the one that's locked up in Witch Prison? The Warlock of Universes "Ginju" you can take his weapon partner Sun with you for assist. I'm sure Ginju would appreciate being reunited with his partner and will be a good asset for us. A meister with magical power due to a tattoo, is quite fascinating and I want to get a closer look at it. Of course I know that tattoo has more meaning, but anyway yeah can you for me?" She nodded and walked to the exit of the room without saying anything.

"And one more thing. Take Gen with you, failure is not an option." Before she stepped out she heard his last request and stepped out the room.

"Oh Death, you're setting a bad example of yourself as the days go by, soon the people will see that meisters and weapons can't "protect" them and their simple lives." He laughed evilly alone in his dark with one light source room.

Arachnid

Arachnid finally exited the room and took a deep breath looking back as the doors closed shut. The only thing she could think of was how impressive it was that Light's plans were coming together slowly, but surely over time it'll make DWMA seem like the villains and SINLESS the heroes. Arachnid then took her bare feet and walked down the steep halls of the SINLESS main hideout as she went down a hall making a left turn and another right till she entered the cafeteria. She was scanning the area for Gen and finally found him which he was drinking with Sun. She rolled her eyes under her hood and took a deep sigh before walking over to them. A guy cut her off mid walk trying to talk to her, he reached his hand out to grab her breast and was sent flying out the room with spiders crawling all over his skin killing him slowly, his screams of pain were ignored as the gigantic room of drunk men and women were enjoying themselves.

Continuing through the crowd she finally met with the two boys as she sat in between them on a barstool. She looked at both of them and could smell of heavy alcohol and almost felt the urge to puke.

"You to idiots we have to get going, Life wants us to go fetch Ginju out of Witch Prison."

Gen
sexyboy6.png
Gen took his last cup taking a deep breath of the burn down his chest slowly spreading through his body, then he let out a "aaaaaahhhhh" then looked at Arachnid then rolled his eyes. Though he listened once she mentioned Life and their mission to go fetch Ginju from his failed mission.

"Isn't the left leg under the great witch's care? We should try to retrieve that as well. Oh wait, nevermind if we break him out of prison we'll already have wizards and witches on us." He watched Arachnid nod to his dumb response. Gen put the cup down as his black horns rested over his head. "Let's leave tomorrow morning, since Sun is over there loaded. Fair enough?" Arachnid nodded and got out of her seat walking off from the two. Gen watched her step away and couldn't help it but let his drunken self to look at her buttox. He blushed and sat back up when the bartender brought him and Sun some more drinks and they cheered and drank together.

Kai Takeshi

Kai looked at the blondish haired girl who came up to him and initiated conversation with him. He was happy to see her after class so he could continue talking to his new friend. It was cool to have found a friend already that wasn't his partner or the grim reaper. Kai looked down at her and smiled.

"Oh you were looking at that painting huh? It's pretty nice, uh whatever it is." He said as the painting was a splash of paint in resemblance of Lord Death. He laughed scratching the back of his head nervously. "I hope you weren't worried about us staying after class... NOT THAT I'M SAYING YOU WERE WORRIED... Uh sorry..." He said scratching his head nervous of talking to a girl for the first time in a while. Kai was mister cool guy until he talked to girls for some reason he could never hold his composure. His partner on the other hand was a master of it even having 3 girlfriends at the same month until they found out 5 months later in their relationship(s).

"So you're a weapon huh? Sorry for rejecting you so fast by the way my soul wavelength is pretty dangerous it even hurt Ren when we first met. Though he learned to match and control it, he says he feels uneasy when we share wavelengths though it doesn't really bother him so much. I didn't want that to possibly happen to you, like you looked at me weirdly because of that uneasy feel I guess hahaha....." He said nervously.

Lord Death
SOUL%20EATER%20-%2011%20-%20Large%2037.jpg
Lord Death watched as Sorano jumped around from desk to desk and even going to the window frame with no window and peered over the students meister and weapon. Then he turned his attention to Ian who was joking around with Lazaro and then Death looked at Lazaro to hear what he was saying about his students, especially the raven haired one. If he could smile he would, his left hand came out of the cloth and death used his index finger to scratch his head and a sweat drop when down his face.

"The objective isn't to scare the students Lazaro it's to teach them to become strong and humble meisters/weapons. I understand you're upset, but you can't continue to let the past control your emotions to become this "Mean and Scary" person to the kids. Why do you think my voice is like this?"

"About the boy, he's special from other meisters try to not baby him but go easy on him. Like you he lost the ones he loves as well, though he went the other route and not let it cloud him. You see he's hard working and really smart. Even trained by yours truly!" Lord death said holding two fingers up and tilting his body to the side to act like a cute girl. Then stood up straight after acting goofy.

Ian
bleach_accessories_12th_division_kisuke_urahara_hat_ver_01-2-06.jpg
Ian looked at Death who was talking about this boy that Lazaro brought up to be unable to teach how to control his wavelength. Ian's head clicked once he realized that favor Death asked of him earlier. He had a smirk on his face which was hidden under the fan and he paid close attention to Lazaro, he knew of Lazaro due to him graduating before Ian though he didn't know him other then that. Ian listened to Death explain about the boy even being trained under him and recalled to a time Death mentioned the boy before.

"The one you told me that came from New York with that orange haired loud mouth?" He stated laughing a bit.

Lord Death
lord_death_by_cap7ain_tezz_vii.jpg
"Indeed them, Kai is apart of the Takeshi clan as we know to being one of the most dangerous clans in its prime roaming the streets of New York even getting involved with notorious Gangs that are still around today. I'm sure you remember that time Lazaro." He said with a soft pause before continuing. There was silence in the room for a moment before he continued.

"Me and Ian both read his soul and there seems to be something hiding behind it as if there's two souls inside of him, not wanting to harm Kai I decided to leave him alone and continue using Ren as a partner though it seems to be causing Ren issues time to time. He says he feels uneasy sometimes when Kai wields him as if something dark is trying to take over him. He tried using other weapons before, but in result it damaged the weapon either giving them cuts or knocking them out from just how corrupt his wavelength is. Trust me though we're keeping close eye on him for sure for the mean time until he shows signs of any badness. You feel? So yeah go a little easier on him I ask you." He put the okay sign with his hand👌. Then he coughed once to continue speaking.

"Eh? The coffee is located in the faculty room, you can eat lunch and stuff there too! About your ashtray though, I'll see about that. Second hand smoking for the students isn't good you know!?" He jokingly said knowing they were too far to get affected by it.

"Now though the real reason we're here." Him saying this brought Sorano to attention making her drop down the shelves of desks till she landed by lord death and Ian. Ian took his hat off his head and listened closely to the seriousness. "Sydney was recently attacked by a mass numbers of Relc. Cherryl notified me at the right time and showed me the view of the entire city burning and crumbling to the forces of the Relc. There was never before seen Relc there, they were around sky scrapper height almost I guess ugh.... They looked pretty serious too ummm."

Ian
bleach_urahara_006.jpg
Ian's demeanor completely changed as the topic was more serious and didn't need goofy Ian at the moment. His eyes glared at Lazaro not in a bad way, but in a sense to show this was some real dangerous stuff going on.

"They were at least 2-6 stories tall, easily dwarfing even the largest standard Relc. They all have a white mask with an elongated nose. Their bodies were covered from their head to their feet with a black covering reminiscent of a cloak something similar to Lord Death."

"Hey don't compare me to them!" Lord Death said to Ian.

"Right, sorry. Anyways they were a row of thin white spikes around their neck. They have large, pointed feet wrapped in white bandages. They also had long tongues capable of breaking a fellow Relc’s mask. It was pretty crazy from what we say and to even top it all-" He was cut off by Lord Death who said the rest. He nodded to what Death had to say agreeing with him, even Sorano looked serious and nodded with Ian agreeing with Lord Death and him.

"To put the cherry on top of the ice cream we got to see something that might even shake you out your boots." He said snapping his fingers as a mirror appeared by his side and he snapped his fingers and the image played again of the "Sydney Attack" the giant relcs, normal sized, and even the animal looking ones ran rampage over the city. Once Lazaro got a glimps of the whole thing Death played it back till it get to the scene he showed Ian and Sorano earlier and zoomed in on it. It was the spiky blue haired guy about to devour two innocent souls.

"His mask was broken and the remains of it was the jaw piece as you can see on the reflection." Death said in his goofy voice like he has this whole time but in a more serious tone. "We think there's more to the Relc's then we'd like to believe."

Clementine gave him a wider smile as he came closer, it was a relief to have found a friend so quickly. Or she at least hoped they were friends, he seemed so nice and now that they weren’t in class they didn’t have to whisper. She looked back over at the painting he was referring to and nodded, “yes it’s very pretty, it reminds me of a flower.” As he continued she turned back to look at him and tilted her head, Kai had begun acting oddly and she wondered if she had said something odd. “Yes I was worried, I’m sorry if that upset you.”

He didn’t seem to be relaxing at all and she frowned a bit, however that faded as he continued and she nodded. “I am a weapon, though I don’t have anyone to wield me quite yet. You said you have a an odd wavelength. Are you ok?” Maybe that why he was acting so odd right now, she stepped a bit closer. He didn’t look mean or like anything was outwardly wrong, maybe her wavelength was upsetting his? She hoped not, she had just made a friend and she didn’t want to loose it so quickly.

Lázaro listened... listened some more... he watched the video that Lord Death showed him, including the playback and saw exactly what stood out to everyone. He let all of the information process. Man he really wished he could have that coffee right about now. “I see...” he began, “I knew the name the second I heard it. Kai huh...” Lazaro looked off as he recalled some memories. “It was raining on that day. I remember when you took him in, introduced him,” Lazaro instinctively put his cigar into his mouth but when he realized it was the old one he’s already smoked, he groaned. “I’ll take your word for it then. You watch him... but know this,” Lazaro put his cigar back down and looked at Lord Death. “If I think at any moment, Kai might turn on us, I won’t waste a single second to take him out for good,” he warned. “So watch him like his life depends on it.”

He moved on to the matter of Sydney. It was already evident that his tone was worsening. “That’s interesting and all but I hope you’re not about to ask what I think you’re going to ask. My days of working missions for you are done. I agreed to teach your students, not be your police dog,” Lazaro said, standing up. He glanced at Ian and Sorano before looking again at Lord Death. “And you better watch your mouth when you talk about my past. Don’t forget your failure in my past,” Lázaro had a quiet blaze raging in his eyes as he stared Lord Death down like a hawk. He looked at Ian and Sorano. “Sorry you had to see that,” he apologized to them. “I’ll be as mean and scary as I need to be to make sure these students get the job done right. Now if you’ll excuse me,” Lazaro said, picking up his suit jacket and slinging it over his shoulders. He started towards the door. “I’m going to get myself a cup of coffee,” Lazaro opened the door to his classroom and slammed it behind him. He stopped outside and groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. Then, he sighed. Maybe he went too far in his manner with Lord Death. He certainly let his emotions get ahold of him for that moment. Too close to the bone. His bone. What was he thinking, trying to talk about his family in front of his colleagues. For what it was, it was nothing short of disrespectful. Lazaro looked up, only to see students in the hallway staring at him. At this point, Lazaro was absolutely sick of them. “What are you looking at?” he growled. Suddenly, everyone averted their gaze and continued about their business. Lazaro stormed off towards the faculty lounge, grumbling all along the way how he still hasn’t gotten himself that goddamn cup of coffee.

Sofia nodded meekly when the Lazaro urged her to give an educated guess next time, more glad to be out of the spotlight than anything. He had given good advice but she couldn't take it. As pathetic as it sounded, she preferred to not say any answer than be ridiculed for a false one. It was safer that way. She stared at the tile floor beneath the desk in front of her, studying each crack and spec of dirt as if it interested her. Of course, the enemy that was overlooked was quite dangerous. You couldn't defend yourself if you were looking in the wrong directing. Why didn't I think of that... I guess I should write that down for next time. she thought miserably.

She picked up her pen and began writing when Lazaro added something else, mentioning the enemy within. Sofia blinked, sparing a glance back up at Lazaro for the briefest of moments before casting her eyes away. That was like what she had thought! It made her feel a little bit better about everything.

The mention of Sinless and their origins was an interesting point, and very true. It made her wonder just how much support the group had, and if they could ever tell how much of a danger they were.

Soon enough class was dismissed and Sofia made her way out with the stream of students.

---

Once outside, Sofia waited by the door, notebook clutched to her chest and eyes to the ground. She knew he didn't like her much --something she didn't blame him for -- but she figured it may be a good idea to wait for Jesper... for better or for worse. All the other weapons and meisters seemed to get along fine, but he hated her. She supposed anyone stuck with a lousy weapon would.

She was lost in her broody thoughts when a boy accidentally walked into her. Sofia let out a surprised eep and dropped her book. Her face went bright red as she scrambled to pick it up. "Sorry, sorry..." she sputtered, then paused when she realized the boy was offering her a hand to get up. Now that she was looking at him she recognized him as the unstable kid's weapon. She glanced at the hand for a moment, but was too embarrassed to take up the offer. Instead she awkwardly got to her feet by herself. "Sorry, I shouldn't stand so close to the door..." she apologized yet again she shuffled away from the door to the classroom, back against the nearby wall. "...sorry..."

When Lazaro stormed out of the classroom and snapped at the gawking students Sofia couldn't help but flinch. He was intimidating in a good mood, but in a bad one... well he might as well be a kishin. She had been staring at him, but quickly averted her eyes like the other students.

Sang-mi let out a small grunt as she hauled herself over a ledge by using the javelin like weapon she worked with as an anchor. Her muscles were sore and her blood was coursing, she resumed running after feeling the effect of the impact the land made on her ankle. She looked back at the relc chasing them and decided to pick up the pace, just a few more miles, she thought to herself as once again the relc was nearly at her heels. Sang-mi gasped slightly as she ducked the chunk of debris aimed at her head “That’s just great...” she muttered to herself “Now I’ve gotta deal with another one.” she grumbled when noticing the second running on the roof tops. Going back to looking ahead of her she yelled at the second relc, trying to provoke it.

“Change of plans!” looking back at the relc “Be ready to transform back to human and catch up with me as I slow down, we’ll have to catch up with the other!” she smirked when finally seeing the mark she was headed for, time to die, she thought looking back at the first relc. Sang-mi turned to face it as she jumped back onto a small ledge of a desolate house. She had put a significant distance between her and the relc, enough of a distance for the javelin to end its life when she threw it. However, she had to keep running forward trying to ward off the second relc until June was close enough for her to risk slowing down. Hurry the hell up June, her mind screamed as she felt her leg starting to give out.

“Ngh...” she grunted in pain when the second relc nipped the back of her arm. She looked back to see June running in a completely different direction, what the hell, she ducked a clothesline and hoped that her weapon wasn’t being cowardly. Sang-mi was capable of holding off a relc by herself, but not when injured. Whatever June was planning, she hoped it’d work out. “Dammit June!” she yelled when seeing she was heading for a dead end. She felt her heart race as she got closer to the dead end, looks like I’ll have to fight, she thought grabbing onto a street lamp and swinging herself to kick the relc’s chest and make it fall back. Unfortunately, she saw it was only enough to set it back a few feet from where she stood. Her breathing was ragged as she braced herself for a fight...

Lazaro opened the door to the faculty lounge and found it empty. He tossed his cigar into the garbage and headed towards the coffee machine. The fresh, charcoal musk of the brewing drink instantly put Lazaro in a better mood. For once, he smiled in delight. He grabbed a cup and poured himself hot coffee to drink. He completely skipped over the sugar picked up the cream. Carefully, he put one...then two drops of cream into his coffee and stirred it up. The tiny wisps of white were lost to the dark, bitter pool that remained. Just the way he liked it. He sat down on a couch in front of a TV and turned it on. The news flipped on and the reporter began talking about the Sydney attack. Lazaro huffed and immediately changed the channels. He continued flipping them until he ran into what looked like a sappy romantic comedy. He stopped, then took a sip of his coffee and set the remote down. The good part was that the movie had just started so Lazaro had time to get introduced to the characters before things heated up.

He didn't particularly like romantic comedies. In fact, it was his least favorite kind of movie to watch. Who would have guessed? But old habits die hard. Lazaro finally had a chance to unwind a bit. This was the life he was living before coming here and it was the best life he could ask for. No one to bother him, and he had everything to himself. He took another sip of the coffee and exhaled with a sweet 'Aahhh..'

An hour passes...

D1F91F3B-2B8B-481B-93B2-88615C269C9F.jpeg

"We'll always be together.. I promise," the male lead said, as he held the female lead in an embrace.
"Promise me you'll always be there for me," she told him.
"Wha- huh, the who how..?" Lazaro woke up with a start. It took him a moment to come to his senses. He rubbed his eyes and sat up a bit. "I promise," the man said, "I'll never leave you behind. All of my life's dreams would amount to nothing without you." The two looked into each others eyes for one fateful moment with the setting sun in the background before finally, they moved in for a kiss. Lazaro watched the scene unfold despite missing the majority of the movie. He grabbed the unfinished pizza box he found in the snack section earlier and set it down on the table. There was a tad bit of coffee left in the cup but it was too cold at this point to finish. As the ending credits to the movie began to roll, Lazaro took out his wallet. Soft, ambient music played in the background as names slid across the screen. Lazaro opened his wallet and stared blankly for a moment.
"You know... the only reason I ended up coming back was because I knew you would want me to.." Lazaro said, fishing a photo from his wallet and staring at it. And there she was...

574373

"Look at you, you look like you're in a staring contest with the photographer," Lisa told him.
"Well, what do you want me to do about it? That's just how I look," Lazaro protested, looking over her shoulder to look at the picture. Lisa giggled and pinched his cheek.
"You could smile, like everyone else. There's no need for you to be such a grumpy monkey all the time," she said with a smile. Lazaro rubbed his cheek after her pinch and rolled his eyes. He looked at the crowd of people in the dance hall. It was the end of the year celebration for the graduating seniors of DWMA and although the two had long since worn their cap and gown, they were invited nonetheless by Lord Death to celebrate. A live band played upbeat jazz while golden decorations let the room sparkle like never before. People were dancing, laughing, and of course, waiting in line at the photo booth to have their photo taken. No surprise that all the meister weapon pairs were eager to commemorate the moment.
"Isn't this the graduating class for that Ian Sorano pair we've heard so much about?" Lazaro asked. Lisa nodded and took his arm.
"Why don't we go find them and congratulate them?" Lisa said. Lazaro shrugged and followed her.
"If you don't mind me asking, how long do I have to keep this jacket on, it's a little tight and you know how much I hat-"
"All night, silly. Besides, you look cute in it," Lisa teased him. Lazaro gave her a mildly irritated look before sighing.

574382

"Oh please, stop it. You're always grumpy. Grumpy monkey, grumpy, grumpy, grumpy, grumpy.." she repeated again and again, poking him over and over.
"Stop- No, don't. Stop, I said stop, ha, stop, haha, ah! I said, hahaha," Lazaro couldn't help but break open into a smile with her constant pestering. "I'm convinced that the only person more stubborn than me is you trying to get me to smile," Lazaro joked. Lisa laughed and tugged him close to her.
"Yeah, without me, I can't imagine what you'd be like. I don't think you'd ever stop being grumpy," Lisa said playfully.
"What? That's not true, I'm not always annoyed," Lazaro told her defiantly. Lisa giggled and gave him a sarcastic 'ok' sign with her hand.
"By the way, before the end of the night, you better dance with me," Lisa chimed with a smug grin. Lazaro immediately turned to give her a look but before he could reply, she tapped his shoulder. Lazaro looked forward again to see Ian and Sorano.
"Oh, hello! Uh.. nice to meet you, um... I'm Lazaro Del Rosal, and this is my fiance, Lisa Sanchez-Aruña," Lazaro said holding his hand out with Lisa to shake theirs. Ian and Sorano followed suit.
"It won't be Sanchez-Aruña for long, you should get used to calling me Mrs. Del Rosal," Lisa poked him.
"Right.. Sorry, Lisa Del Rosal," he said, in a feeble attempt at redoing introductions.
"No worries, haha," Ian said, "We're honored to meet you. I'm Ian and this is my partner, Sorano."
"We've heard many wonderful things about the two of you. No doubt we'll be working together in the future. I look forward to it," she with a smile. Lazaro nodded as well. She was always a better person around others than Lazaro was. He wasn't exactly a people person. In fact, he wasn't very well liked in childhood because of the way he treated his peers. Always too rough or loud or just generally dismissive. But it was as he said. The only person that could ever be more stubborn than him was Lisa and boy, was she a piece of work. Lazaro recalled all the middle school summers where she would invite herself to his house just so that she could drag him to the playground to play with the others. And it was always her that would scold him whenever he overstepped his bounds. Eventually, he warmed up to her and as it happened, they became weapon and meister.

It was then that a few classmates called Ian and Sorano over for some photos together.
"Oh.. sorry, if you'll excuse us. Yo, wait up!" Ian said, taking Sorano with him. They watched the two get together with the others for pictures. Ian broke out into a wide grin and said 'CHEEEESE' as the camera flashed.
"See? Is it that hard to do that?" Lisa said holding a hand out in his direction. Lazaro looked at her with a cold glare.
"Yes. It is," he held his expression for a moment as they looked at each other before he broke into a smile. A soft, gentle, genuine one. "But maybe for you, it's worth a shot," Lazaro said. The music in the background slowed and before he knew it, Lisa had taken his hands. He watched her as she began swaying to the beat. Little by little, they danced their way to the center.
"Fine... just this song," Lazaro told her. She laughed.
"I've heard that before," Lisa replied, resting her head on his chest and closing her eyes.
"Ok, ok... how about a couple of songs," he said.
"How about... till the end of the night?" she asked gently. Lazaro pursed his lips. All night? He was a horrible dancer! Two left feet! TWO LEFT FEET! He didn't know what to say, but then he looked at her. A peaceful smile painted itself onto her face and the light playing with all the delicate features of her restful movements. And together they swayed to the beat.
"Ok... till the end of the night," Lazaro said.

1075EE01-77F2-402F-89CB-C5AC40D4F6E0.jpeg

Lazaro stared at the photo with weary eyes. She always loved romantic comedies. She would force him to sit down with her so that she could stain his shirt when she cried or have a shoulder to laugh into at every punchline. He especially hated it when she would point at the male lead and tell him that he should crack more jokes like him. Lazaro wasn't the comedian type. Nor was he necessarily smooth, or smart, or any of the kinds of guys you'd see in a romantic comedy. But she still said yes when he proposed to her and that was all he could ask for. The ending credits had finally finished but for Lazaro, this was the part where he'd tell her how bad the movie was.

"All my life's dreams would amount to nothing without you," Lazaro repeated that line from the ending scene. Then he scoffed and put the photo back into his wallet. "Rom coms these days couldn't get any sappier," Lazaro got up from the couch and grabbed the coffee cup and pizza. He tossed out the box and left the cup in the sink. He put on his old suit jacket again. It was the only one he had and it didn't matter much that it didn't fit him very well. It didn't fit him that night either, but Lisa never cared too much about that sort of stuff. Lazaro spotted a small chinaware bowl as he made his way out of the faculty lounge.
"Hmm... this should work for now," Lazaro said, grabbing his new ashtray and walking out the door.

June smiled when she saw Sang-mi a few feet ahead of her. However she could tell that her meister was having a lot of trouble holding her own against the relc. She picked up the pace, I’m such an idiot, she thought to herself as she remembered her fight against the pack of the weaker relcs she had run into. Why had she not listened? All she had to do was catch up, now Sang-mi was in danger, I’m a terrible weapon, only thing she could think of to help was to get Sang-mi’s attention, but through doing so could end up distracting her.

Her mind was going haywire, through all her plans she could see herself failing to protect Sang-mi. That is until she noticed Sang-mi fall, struggling to get back up and the relc preparing to attack. Her heart dropped to her stomach as she finally reached them “No!” she yelled standing in front of Sang-mi in a protective manner and bracing herself for an attack from the relc...

A small moment of silence filled the empty space as a figure soared above June and Sang-mi, crashing down onto the relc. The figure then proceeded to strike several times. June could hear the sound of a knife tearing into scales, and kept looking forward, ignoring the sound of screams coming from the relc. It took only minutes before its screams died down and Nia stood up to devour its soul. Her white hair had become messy as she had killed the relc.

For some reason June could feel tears falling from her eyes as she collapsed and hugged Sang-mi tightly “I’m so sorry Mi...” she let out a choked sob when Sang-mi sighed and whispered “It’s okay.” as if she had been the one who failed to protect her partner. She moved back to let Sang-mi sit up and could see how roughed up the fight had left her. She put Sang-mi’s arm around her shoulder to help her stand “Let’s get you to the nurse.” she said letting Sang-mi use her as support as they began to walk. As they passed Nia, she spoke up “June!”
574477
The younger weapon froze and turned her head to look back at Nia’s cold stare “We’ll discuss this later. Get Sang-mi to the nurse for now.” June nodded, knowing very well what Nia wanted to discuss.

A while later...

June was standing outside the door of the nurse’s office while waiting for Nia, happy to know that Sang-mi had only sprained her ankle and that the other injuries were minor scratches here and there. Overall, her meister just needed to rest, the nurse said Sang-mi had overworked herself and practically drained her stamina. That however, did not excuse her inefficiency as a weapon meant to protect their meister. The nurse said she’d have to report it “You’re an idiot.” Nia’s voice broke her train of thought. June could only look at the ground in shame and didn’t even dare to face Nia.

The two stood in silence for a moment before she finally spoke
“It’s” “Don’t give me that crap! What you just pulled is either going to get you put into remedial classes or even worse expelled.” June’s eyes widened at the mention of possible expulsion. Nia crossed her arms and sighed “Look, just don’t leave Sang-mi unprotected again, make sure to take care of her while she’s recovering.” she pushed herself off the wall and left June facing the door to the office, wondering if she should go in or not.

Lord Death
latest
Lord Death nodded to Lazaro when he mentioned to watch Kai like his life depended on it, but him too was to watch Kai closely about his strange two souls mystery. Death looked surprised when Lazaro didn't even want to partake in any missions, but to simply teach. Then the lash out happen about bringing up his past, but lord death just stood there and took the words that carried poison in them. Looking over to Ian and Sorana when Lazaro apologized for them and he stormed out Lord Death stood there in complete shock.

"So that's what life brought you to Lazaro..."

Ian
"Sheesh what about a angry oldy huh? Though, you did kinda slip up casually speaking about his past regardless of moving on or not that's never a great move. He'll break out of it though I'm sure. I have a question though. The way he spoke to you what really happened between you that made him dislike you so much? Even if he disliked you so much why is he even here in the first place if he doesn't want to do the job that weapons and meisters are supposed to do? Yes if you mean what you said that he lost a loved one that doesn't mean we can't carry out our duties to assist you in any request you ask us. That's one of the things we agree on being promoted to three star, shit even being able to enroll in this damn school we put our trust and lives into your hands,"

Lord Death
latest
"He blames me like many others of the mass murder that happened Many moons ago." Death said quick and silent as if he didn't even want Ian or Sorana to hear. "If it wasn't for that Sinless group it would've carried out even worse. At the time I was away from Death City leaving the guard up to his generation. Like others he says it is my fault I wasn't there to assist them in combat. I took it as a mistake as myself that is why I do not hold meetings anymore. Which is also why I send you instead."

Ian's facial expression looked worried for Lord Death, as if it seemed everything and everybody was slowly going against him even though he was fighting for the right cause. Why though? What did the reaper of death do to deserve the distrust in so many people? Was it that this is what Sinless has been working on under the shadows for so long? Ian glanced at Sorana with his fan over his mouth and gave her the worried look. Looking back over to Lord Death who seemed froze up over what just happened he stepped over to him.

"No matter who's against you and who's not you know you got Squad Grey on your side." Ian stated walking off with Sorano through a secret hall that is in every classroom to get out of the school without having to be spotted by any students. Once reaching the outside into Death City he looked back at Sorano for a second standing there on the back side of the school.

"I'm worried about him just as much as you guys are." He mentioned to the four above him and Sorano who seemed to be waiting for them to appear.

Akami Rose
yoruichi_smiles_happy__3_by_mifang.png
Jumping down with the others beside her she stepped out of the shadows to the light and smiled at Ian with a worried look as well. She looked back at Din, Misaki, and Sherry as they all stepped out the shadows as well. Looking back over to Ian she put her right hand on his shoulder and looked at him into the eyes.

"Whatever we have to do to help him we better start now before it's too late."

Akami was more serious then she ever been, she had a fire in her eye to stop this SINLESS charade. Taking her hand off his shoulder she placed it on her hip and waited for him to tell them what the next move is to be. Ian was their leader after all.

Ian

Ian took a sigh putting his fan up into his pocket and looked at his ex team then turned around to look at Death City, the side many people hardly like to go too since its so dangerous on this side.

"Why is it that we forget about the slums of D-. Never mind." He paused for a moment holding his hat with his right hand as the wind rushed by giving a small breeze. Looking into the sky as the Sun was still laughing to himself it gave Ian a sense of peace for a moment. "Sadly I have to stay here and help Lord Death out, I'm sure Sorano will be doing the same and help. Though you guys should go to Sydney and check out what's really going. That month wasn't the real date they were trading it was it? Why would Sinless wait so long? It'd be best we got to the bandits and took the artifact from them instead of waiting to get in between the trade. Get in contact with your "friend" and figure out exactly where you can find those damn bandits, also remember Africa is a giant country so be careful. Din and Sherry can help you and Misaki out. I rather you four go together then send you off to separate locations. I'll go to Japan and pay a visit there, I heard there was a wolf terrorizing its people. It'd be best to get word around that DWMA's Meisters/Weapons are now back and operational. These last few months we been ignoring threats due to this fake idea of "peace" and to think that type of mindset is what gets you crushed in this world it baffles me. The world pushed Lord Death to stay here in Death City. These students seem promising to keep Death City safe while we do our jobs and protect the world like we agreed to do. Death said he'll need me to cause havoc, but that'll have to wait for the students I want them to at least get stronger before facing me."

"What do you all think?"

"Let's do it!"
"I'm always ready for some fun."
"Me too!"
"I'm in as long as I'm with you idiots."
"What Din said."

"Cool well I'd like to say team Grey is officially back in action. Good luck you four. Make sure you keep us updated through emails! Hehe!" Ian looked at the five and had a smirk on his face then looked over to the sun one more time and watching it laughing.

"That's what I fight for, the laughing of that crazy sun. That's so strange that I fight for something so... Celestial I guess?"

With that the six of them all departed using Soul step to get to their homes and prepare for the missions they were going to partake. Ian was gathering they keys to his car, a bag full of supplies and snacks while sorano started cooking preparing meals for their trip. It was at least going to take three weeks for them to get their and on the way they might encounter trouble.

Din was gathering some spare shuriken and smoke bombs. While Sherry prepared a small bag of bandages and small lunch boxes, she also packed in her bag a bug spray since she was scared of insects, and she knows "the hotter the location the bigger the spider" she didn't want to take any chances.

Akami and Misaki prepared what any girl would, vacation gear, snacks, lotion, sun screen, etc. They both had medium sized backpacks as they looked at each smiling getting ready for the adventure to be uphold. Depending on how fast they go without getting caught it could determine how fast they get to Sydney.

Kai paid attention to the girl as she spoke about the painting to resemble flower, which made him giggle a little bit thinking they saw two different things from the image. She then spoke about worrying about him and that made him blush a bit, his blood was flowing roughly and his heart beat was just as fast. He shook it off and scratched the back of his head again.

"Thanks for worrying it wasn't really that bad he was really just annoyed by when Ren spoke up for me during class. He said if we ever do that again that he'll kick us out of class sadly. I wish I could tell you what's wrong with me, but I couldn't its just apart of me I guess. I can't really hold a weapon like any other meister can at will. For some reason I was cursed with this. What weapon are you though?"

"Now that our main class is over do we just go on missions now?"

The little girl didn't take his hand to help her up so he felt rejected for the first time ever, his head looked down as his pupils disappeared and his eyes were pure white and his mouth was opened as if his life was taken from him. He shook his head turning it back to normal standing up putting his hands in his pockets.

"Nah it's my fault for bumping into you, sorry. The names Ren nice to meet you." He said with a smile on his face.

Sofía let a smile grace her features as the nostalgic feeling of being back in her old school settled in while she walked through the halls of the DWMA. Lord Death had called her in to teach the remedial classes a few weeks ago and she was happy to do so. She decided memory lane wasn’t such a bad thing when it came to the DWMA. Even when it came to memories that were bittersweet. She remembered certain rooms she liked and even who taught the classes who enjoyed most. All the rooms she had been allowed in were more or less the same “Now” Sofía let a small chuckle escape her lips as she stood in front of the door for the faculty lounge.

“Time to see the magnificent” she spoke as she opened door expecting to see something better than a sofa, fridge, work desk, and a tv “faculty lounge?” she stepped inside and tried to find something she liked. As a student she thought the faculty lounge would have a more professional vibe, but this reminded her of a college student’s apartment. She was extremely disappointed and felt conned. Sofía looked around in silence for a moment, trying to find some positive quality “Hmmm... I’ll have to discuss this with Lord Death sometime...” she muttered to herself as scowled at the sight of a coffee maker.

Sofía sighed
“Maybe the fridge?” she opened the fridge and once again smiled, her eyes on a half empty pitcher of fruit punch. She slowly turned to look around the room and was happy to see, some styrofoam cups on the desk. The childish demeanor she had didn’t embarrass her as she ran to the desk, grabbed a cup, and ran back to fill it with fruit punch. She couldn’t help but feel proud when she filled her cup up to the rim without spilling a drop. As a kid she would spill a lot of the drink and as a teenager she never tried filling the cup to the rim once. Now, she was in power, and could control the pitcher with a strong will.

She sipped the excess punch that might spill if she were to pick up the cup while it was still on the counter. The taste made her giggle with excitement as she thought about a cartoon she used to watch. It didn’t seem like she needed to be anywhere any time soon, the list of remedial students hadn’t been sent to her so,
“Hmmm...” Sofía checked the time on her watch to see if looking for the cartoon was a waste of time. She cheered silently as she sat on the sofa and clicked on the remote until the cartoon she had thought of was showing on the screen in front of her, surprised to think that she still remembered what time the show would air. Now that I think about it, Sofía leaned a bit further into the back of the sofa, this is quite comfy.

While checking her laptop, an email notification caught her eye for just a second, but she ignored it thinking it was the email about remedial students; if it isn’t, I’ll talk to Lord Death about it later, she turned her attention back on the screen. The smile of a young child gracing her face.

Meanwhile at the nurse’s office...

Sang-mi was trying to protest against June feeding her as if she was a child “I’m serious June, there’s no need to feed me, I’m capable of” her sentence was cut short by a spoon of soup being shoved in her mouth. June smiled at her meister apologetically “I’m sorry Mi, but I had to take my chance before you noticed.” she explained with a nervous chuckle. Sang-mi’s expression had not stopped her from taking another scoop and holding up the spoon “Open wide~” she said with a small giggle. Sang-mi rolled her eyes, but in the end did as she was told, not wanting to taste the cutlery again.

The embarrassment of her fall was still fresh in Sofia's mind. She just wanted to hide. If only she could melt right into the walls...

She hoped the boy would just forget about her awkwardness and move on, like most people did. She didn't even care if there were snickers and insults. He didn't though, instead taking the blame. It was unexpected and made her surprisingly uncomfortable.

"Yeah - I-i mean, not that It's yourfaultbecauseitsnot.. I mean..." She took a short, calming breath.
"It's also nice to meet you too!"

She paused... immediately realizing she forgot to say her name. But she waited too long! It was awkward if she said it now, but if she didnt say her name it would be worse?! Seconds were ticking by, she had to choose soon! Sofia stared at the ground, silent despite the heavy internal screaming.

"I'm Sofia... by the way..." She finally blurted, feeling like she just got hit by a truck. At this point she'd sell her soul just to be teleported out of here.

Jesper made his way out the classroom slower than usual, picking up his stuff and leaving, not having wrote down a single thing in his scribbler during that whole class. Dodging the bodies of his classmates he made his way out of the doors, doing his best not to touch any of them. As he exited he noticed most of the students going into cliques and talking to their friends, even seeing the Greystone mingling with their classmates.

Jesper frowned at this, he didn't know any of the people around him, and he wanted to avoid being near Sofia if he could. As he stood there unsure what he was to do, some careless fool bumped into his shoulder causing Jasper's stuff to go flying out of his hands. The guy who bumped into him rolled his eyes at Jesper and muttered something to his friends, chuckling as he did so. The boy didn't even offer an apology as he walked away with his group, some looking back at him as they left.

Jesper's cheeks burned an angry red as he bent down in the middle of the hallway to retrieve his fallen items. Anger bloomed in his chest like an enraged flower as he maneuvered through people's legs as they gave him weird looks. Jesper swallowed back a thick lump of anger as he sent a burning glare at one of the girls who looked down at him, causing her to let out a 'eep' and turn back to her group of friends.

Once his stuff was retrieved Jesper stood back up straight as a board and moved out of the way of the people, his anger filled gaze was still very prominent as he did so. He hated how his face burned with a blush he couldn't control. He hated the stares of his peers. He hated that disgusting brat who had made a fool out of him. He would pay for that. How dare he embarrass him like that. It was unforgivable.

Jesper's fingers were in an iron grip around his books as he once against looked around the room for some sort of friend or anything for him to migrate to. Again his eyes caught the familiar pink hair and his already sour mood darkened even farther. Swearing under his breath Jesper made his way over to the group, his pace fast and calculated. He clenched his teeth painfully as he came to a stop near the group before letting out a heavy breath through his parted lips.

"Greystone, fellow peer. Greetings." his voice had a calm tone to it but his underlining annoyance and anger was still very obvious for most and defiantly for Sofia. He wasn't happy about having to hang out with them at all, and honestly would rather be anywhere else if he had an option of that. Sadly, he didn't have another option at the moment, he was stuck with this group of imbeciles. Two weapons, one useless and the other having the fantasy concept of friendship trumping all. Of course it had to be them.

"Nah trust me it was all me don't even worry about it I was hella just walking." He laughed out then stood straight putting his hands in his pocket trying to seem cool again in front of the girl. He had a smile on his face, but obviously more grievous intentions were behind a beautiful smile.

"Sofia huh? nice to meet you Sofia! Cheer up man it's not cool for a girl to be so jittery, usually the guys are supposed to be like that. Speaking of which like Kai over there." He pointed out of his shoulder with his thumb while his partner was stuttering talking to a girl.

"I hope you weren't worried about us staying after class... NOT THAT I'M SAYING YOU WERE WORRIED... Uh sorry.."

"That's how its supposed to be." He had a smirk of joking matter. It was that girl from the class they just came out of the one who went to the front with Kai and made Kai seem like a laughing stock, well not her exactly but the dumbass teacher for say. God Ren hated that teacher dearly, and he knew this was going to be one long ass year of school. Looking over he saw a pale blonde boy walk beside him saying his weird greeting to someone and to Ren. Ren looked at him with a confused look on his face.

"Greystone, fellow peer. Greetings."

Looking over he saw a pale blonde boy walk beside him saying his weird greeting to someone and to Ren. Ren looked at him with a confused look on his face.

"Who's Greystone? Oh aren't you that one rich boy in our class I think I seen you sitting there... I think..." He scratched the top of his head with his index finger trying to think if he recognized the boy from somewhere.

"Nah nevermind! The names Ren bro nice to meet ya!" He reached his hand out to the boy to see if he could try and befriend this dude. The guy gave off a weird rich boy vibe like he was too good for everyone, but that didn't stop Ren from trying.

"Now that our main class is over do we just go on missions now?"

Once the knew blondie spoke up to Ren mentioning his name or not Ren turned to the side and put his arm around Kai's shoulder.

"Yo don't we have one more class with that one teacher? Sofia or whatever? Oh and wassup other blondie the names Ren why don't you guys join me and my two new friends over here in the journey of becoming friends!" Ren said jokingly and which made Kai turn around and accept the invitation knowing Clement would follow after him.

"Yooo, so first class kind of a bummer, but! We'll bounce back from it!"

Kai Takeshi

Kai awaited for the girl to respond to what he had to say until his bestfriend had his arm around his shoulder prompting that the both of them should join in on his "group" conversation in which Kai did turning around hoping Clement wouldn't mind joining in too.

"Oh that's right we do have that one Remedial class I think." He looked over to Ren then the other two which was a another blondie and a pinkish haired girl. Kai's eyes focused in on them and he could see both of their souls smirking a bit realizing that they were both compatible. Something was pointing about the characteristics of the boy's soul showing that it only wants perfection in everything it gets involved with, which is why it despises the girl so much while the girl on the other hand seemed nice, but very shy like something is holding her back from breaking out of her shell of shyness, and WHY THE HELL DOES HER SOUL LOOK SO DAMN WEIRD?! Jesper visibly frowned at the boy calling him 'rich boy'. His family may have money superior to the boy, but so did Sofia, not to mention both their families were equally well known. Come to think of it, the idiotic boy didn't seem to know his name, so he had just assumed he was rich? How did he come to that conclusion. Oh, maybe it was his superior social ability and stance that was far more sophisticated and refined than those of small income. It was probably clear to a walking baboon like him if you think of it that way.

He didn't have to refer to him as rich boy though, considering he had no solid proof that he was in fact rich, maybe he was just a poor person with an actual brain. Speaking of having a brain, Jesper questioned if this boy had one, his face wasn't that forgettable, and even if the boy-now known as Ren- didn't quite recall his features, he should have still been able to at least recognize a vague sense that he was the 'rich boy' he was referring to.

"Greystone is the girl you were speaking to...? Are you not aware of the family? They are quite well known..." Jesper trailed off, frowning more realizing he was socializing with idiots because he had no friends, "And I am Jesper Zavid, you should also know my last name. The Greystone and Zvaids have been partnered for many years, it start-" Jesper stopped speaking when he noticed Ren was not listening and had turned to another boy.

Anger flared up in Jesper once again causing the boy to not hold back his disgusted look at the boy. Do commoners just ignore people like that? He was the one who had asked the question so he should have been the one most interested in the response. Letting out a sigh Jesper turned too the last person left for him to talk to, trying to hold back a souring expression as he did so. Talking in a hushed whisper her spoke, "Greystone. That answer of the question in class was not acceptable. You are a Greystone, you should know the answer to that question or least have the decency to answer it and not embarass your family more than you already have by existing.

Tch. I will not have a weapon that is incompetent. You will work harder, and you will answer the question next time. Do you know how embarrassing it is to say you are my partner when you couldn't even answer the simple question of what is the most dangerous enemy," letting out another annoyed sigh Jesper didn't bother to remove his frown from his face and crossed his arms, "Do I make myself clear Greystone, if I can even call you that." he finished, muttering the last bit under his breath as he glared.

"Oh...right..." Sofia said quietly, mustering up a sheepish laugh at Ren's comment about how girls should behave. She looked more than a little crestfallen at his words and began playing with the corner of her book, keeping her eyes away from Ren. By now she was used to being told this, but it didn't make it any better.

Maybe I should wait for Jesper in the courtyard or something, she thought. Really, she just wanted to go somewhere without people.

However just as she was beginning to formulate some excuse her partner arrived. His greeting was just about as curt as he was, calling her by her family name. It was his way of distancing himself from her, refusing to call her by her first name. He seemed to be upset with being called a rich boy and began lecturing Ren on not only his own family, but also her own.

"No, it's okay he..." she started, but cut herself off when Jesper kept going, ignoring her plea for peace.

Sofia could only helplessly watch the scene unfold, not wanting to interrupt Jesper during one of his rants. Even when she noticed that Ren was clearly not listening. Should I tell him? No, that might make him mad... did he not notice yet? Soon enough he did and the anger that followed almost made her wish she had interrupted instead. One could practically see the steam rising from his ears. She expected him to lash out at Ren, but instead he rounded on her. Oh no. The color drained from her face.

Of course he was going to bring up the class. Sofia visibly shrunk back from his venomous words, feeling them like hot knives. Her family honor was a deeply sensitive topic for her and he knew it. "Sorry, I-I'll try to-to do better next time..." she muttered, staring at the ground.

Sofia flinched at his last comment and nodded her head. "Yes." she answered feebly.

Kai looked over to the blonde boy seeing that hr was rather upset with the girl which brought a frown upon his face even though Ren was being oblivious of the fact he had to take a stand and somehow bring everyone together.

“Oh sorry, the name’s Kai Takeshi. I’m Ren’s meister nice to meet you two. I thought it was hard to believe but, we actually have a Zavid and a Greystone in our class this year. Could you see souls? And what weapon could you turn into?”

Kai looked at the two trying to give the girl some type of confidence to speak and as well as the boy to at least calm down a bit. Looking over to Ren who was obviously confused on how Kai knew of their last names without them introducing themselves.

“Their both pretty popular families that are usually entitled to partner up even being known to have unraveling strength. Greystone’s are usually the weapons whole the Zavids are meister born.” Kai said informing his partner on a little history.

Ren was confused on how Kai even knew their backstory at all it was quite weird he was even comfortable to speaking to the weird guy who got mad at him already. Ren’s facial expression changed once Kai explained their history of names and importance to the DWMA. Ren’s eyes sparkled up exited to even fight the two to see if they had this so called unrivaled strength he looked at the two and had a smile on his face.

“Woah so are you guys that strong by default already??!!!??! You know me and Kai are pretty strong ourselves heh! Even wor-“

He was stopped by a hand hovering over his lips signifying him that he was talking too much and spilling too much already. Ren’s excited face then turned stale and he calmed down a bit once the hand moved, he glanced over to Kai to see he was starring at Ren which made him look away.

Lazaro walked down the hall... well, maybe more like, patrolled. As he did so, he made his way back to his class so that he could set down his new makeshit 'ashtray'. As it stood, he hadn't seen any of the other teachers. Either way, the fewer, the better. He wanted to have the lounge to himself as often as possible. When he reached his class, he swung the door open abruptly and walked in. Making a straight shot to the desk, he set the bowl down and immediately turned to leave. He reached the door, then stopped. It might be best if I took some of those papers with me. I shouldn't leave them lying around, he thought, turning back to the desk and opening the drawers. He fished out some papers messily and walked back out. He tightened them together before realizing he had no briefcase, folder, or anything for that matter, to help him organize his papers. Lazaro groaned in annoyance. If he could smoke another cigar, he would, but he wanted to save a little more money on them. Who knows how meager his teacher's paycheck was going to be. The cigars he brought from his farm were all he had. Maybe the teacher's lounge has folders, Lazaro thought, as he started making his way back where he came from. Lazaro scratched his jaw to get rid of an itch as he approached the door. When he opened it, however, he found that the lounge was no longer empty.
"Huh?"

A small ‘huh’ caught Sofía’s attention, she looked away from the television screen and at the man standing in the doorway. At first she didn’t consider him to be a teacher despite his attire, the jacket he was wearing seemed way too small for him. However, the stack of papers in his hand said otherwise. She turned off the television and stood from her spot on the sofa. She gave a kind smile and walked towards the man. Holding out her hand as she began to speak “You must be one of the other teachers here. My name is Sofía Lynn, I’ll be teaching the remedial classes. It is a pleasure to meet you.” she did however wonder what kind of class he taught, but thought rude to ask. It was best she wait for him to say. Otherwise she risked offending another teacher and offensive was one of the many things she didn’t consider herself. After all she was polite and that’s what made her life convenient rather than difficult. Her idea of convenience included getting along with her coworkers, no matter how unprofessional some of them may have seemed. Her smile widened as she tilted her head to the right.
“Let’s get along.”

Lazaro looked at her for a moment, then nodded. "Lazaro Del Rosal," he said, walking past her and towards some of the cabinets. He set down the papers and began opening and closing the cabinets. "You would be correct. I teach the uh... Combat Arts class, I think it's called," he told her, absentmindedly. He was more focused on finding a binder or a folder of some sort. I suppose it would be stupid to be checking the food cabinets, Lazaro thought. Closing the last couple of drawers. "And it's a good thing you're teaching remedial class. I have a few students who would certainly need some remediation," Lazaro walked past her again to check some of the other cabinets around the lounge. "Those buggers don't have half a brain and can't hold a weapon properly and act like they know- do you happen to know where I can find some folders?" Lazaro lost his patience with searching and closed the cabinets before turning to look at Sofia. "..Or a binder, maybe?" he scrunched his nose for a moment and cleared his throat. This wasn't exactly his best first impression... as if he was ever good at making any kind of impression.

Sofía was surprised to see Lazaro walk past her without shaking her hand, however she assumed he probably just didn’t but like handshakes. And it wasn’t as if he just walked past her, he did introduce himself. She observed him as he began opening the cabinets and drawers in the faculty lounge. Was he by chance hungry? Anyways, she nodded to herself when he said he taught combat classes, he does have that physique, she turned to watch him open more cabinets around the lounge with a confused expression, he didn’t seem to be looking for food apparently. She realized he must’ve lost his patience when he closed the cabinets and turned back to look at her. She held back from chuckling when he asked if she knew where any folders or binders might be “I’m afraid I don’t know.” she answered with an apologetic smile “However, if any of your students end up needing remediation, feel free to drop by and request I give them some sort of extra lesson you think they require. The list hasn’t been sent yet, but I was informed if it wasn’t today, then to ask Lord Death.” she added along with her apology.

Clementine had followed the Kai, and the other boy as well obediently. She smiled politely at them all as they spoke but more or less completely drifted off mentally, they all seemed like nice people who looked rather pretty. Kai was obviously nice, his partner who's name she was sure Ren seemed fun, there were more now and Clementine once again marveled at the pretty color. However her drifting was cut off when the tall boy spoke harshly, thinking he was talking to her she snapped back into attention but was relieved he wasn't even looking at her. Though now that she was looking Clem noticed how crestfallen the other girl looked, the tall boy was obviously whispering something but Clem couldn't make any of it out.

However her concern was dissipated when Ren spoke eagerly about their strength and she found herself leaning forward, "you two are already strong? That's very impressive, you should both be proud of your accomplishments!" She looked back over smiling at Kai and Ren when she noticed Kai's hand over his mouth, "are you getting sick?" People often clapped a hand over their mouth when they felt ill, maybe when a weapon and meister became close enough they could tell when the other was getting sick.

“Is that so?” Lázaro said. “You mean you can’t tell just by looking at em?” he made an attempt to shove papers into his suit jacket but if it was already too tight on him, there was no way in the world that it would be possible. Lázaro gave up and turned his attention back to Sofia. “You can always tell who’s got what it takes by looking at em,” he told her. Lazaro gave Sofia a simple look. At worst, it might seem like he was bored. At most, he was trying to tell what kind of person she was by looking at her. But he averted his gaze and adjusted his suit a moment later. He then resumed his ill-fated search for a folder or binder within the cabinets, grumbling all along the way.

Sofía chuckled at Lazaro’s response, but felt as though he was questioning her skills as a teacher “No. I’m afraid my assessment of a student is not as advanced as your own. However,” she paused for a minute to note that Lazaro had averted his gaze “I believe it’s only fair that I act as more of guide than as a judge. I do see your point though, my offer was only a gesture of kindness.” she cleared her throat and walked towards the fridge to serve herself more punch. She leant on the counter and smiled at Lazaro “If you don’t think you’ll be able to work without folders or binders, you might want to look at a discount department store.”

Lazaro opened a closet, then closed it again when he discovered it was nothing but broomsticks. "Advanced? No, it's not advanced. Something like that just comes from living a long life," Lazaro made something that he called, an attempt at a joke about his age. "You've got plenty of years ahead of you, it seems. When did you graduate?" Lazaro turned back over to her to discover she was pouring herself punch. "Is it.. like you remember it?" Lazaro looked around the room and into the hallway. If you looked at him closely enough... you could almost see the faintest hint of a smile.

Sofía looked down at her cup of fruit punch and felt a tinge of sadness as she smiled “It always tastes the same to me, no matter who makes it. That’s what I like most about it, the taste that never changes...” she mentally slapped herself when her pause lasted longer than she intended “I’m sorry.” she apologized to Lazaro “I completely ignored your first question to answer the second.” she racked her brain to try and remember when she graduated. Let’s see, if I’m 39 now and I graduated when I was 18, her math wasn’t the best, so another long pause followed. She didn’t really expect to be asked when she graduated “Uh...” she looked at Lazaro for a second “How old are you?” she asked while scratching her head.

Lazaro drew his eyes away from the hallways. He chuckled at her question. "I'm the oldest looking 43 year old you'll ever meet," he said in a blase manner. "I graduated 25 years ago," he said, anticipating her follow up question. Lazaro looked at her holding the punch. "Hm... I think I should get another coffee," he said, mulling over to the coffee maker and brewing it. "I always thought coffee breath was better than cigar breath, but the folks back home were too busy talking with cigar breath to agree with me," Lazaro was not very good at jokes. Or having a conversation at all. Much less a woman who would probably recoil at the thought in 3... 2... 1...
