Fandom Soul Eater: Ultimas IC

This was not good. Not good at all. Sophia's wide eyes flicked between Jesper and the girl. If she had just left things would have been better, but she suddenly switched from being scared to being all tough again. Was it just a fake face? Both of them were not backing down.

Oh no. She shouldn't be picking a fight with Jesper... he's already pissed off. This is going to make it worse. Ah, what do I do?

Sophia didn't do anything in the end, her voice caught in her throat and her feet glued to the floor. She didn't want to intervene out of fear of Jesper's wrath, and didn't want to speak up in case she made things worse. That is, until the girl 'invited' her to help. HER? Of all people she wanted her to jump in?

Her face paled like a deer caught in headlights. "Whu.. uh..." she sputtered, her eyes darting to Jesper.

There was an audible gulp as she quickly averted her eyes to the ground and shook her head. "I-i..." she muttered, the words feeling dry in her mouth. "No.. so-sorry." her voice cracked slightly so she went quiet. Where were the teachers when they needed them? She knew she should say something. Every part of her told her that it wasn't right, but every time she thought about doing something she could only remember Jesper's angry face. How pitiful. He was right about her being an embarrassment to the family.

Nia noticed the girl was struggling to give a reply and when she resorted to being silent, the weapon sighed and kept her attention on the guy in front of her. I’ll have to apologize to the shrimp when this punk isn’t around, she thought to herself. Who knows, maybe paying him off will make him less angry at her. Either way, she wasn’t going to lie in the bed she made. She never had and never will, money makes things like this a lot easier than things should be, it is pure bliss “How about you decide how much I give. Better yet, I’ll owe you a big favor if you let me go.”

“Uh... Sang-mi?” June looked at her meister with a nervous face before looking back at the situation “Nia seems to have gotten herself into a not so good situation.” she said catching a peek at whom Nia bumped into “And it’s Jesper Zviad.” she winced “Should I go help her?” the younger weapon asked knowing that Jesper Zviad was a force to never reckoned with “Do you want to?” Sang-mi asked with an eyebrow raised.

June hesitated “If things get violent, I’ll get involved.” she gave Sang-mi a wave goodbye before stepping out of the nurse’s office and keeping standing with in a crowd looking at the mission board. That way she’ll be able to intervene things got out of hand. She wondered what on earth Nia did to piss off an elite meister. She probably said something skeevy again, the younger weapon thought to herself. Nia was unpredictable, when going unchallenged, she’ll say what she wants. Don’t respond, she’ll say what she wants, the dipwad never listens to common sense!

Sofía sighed after realizing that most of her stuff still hadn’t been shipped to Death City. She was upset over not being able to play her guitar, but luckily she had ramen noodles and powdered fruit punch, not ideal, but it’ll do, she thought to herself as she let the water heat up and began to make the fruit punch. There was nothing more relaxing than a small break, but Sofía knew that email she got earlier wasn’t going to go away, the person who had sent it didn’t care, unfortunately she would have to reply. Soon, the water began to boil and Sofia had placed the block of ramen in and began stirring.

There was still a lot on her mind but her stomach had taken full control; Sofía had skipped breakfast that day and was starving by the time she got to the academy. Then there was the whole get to know each other thing with Lázaro and Hestia and everything just got out of control. She let a smile graze her face when the noodles were finished cooking, the scent filled her heart with joy as she moved the noodles into a bowl and started preparing them, occasionally tasting the ramen as she did so.

A while later, Sofía had cleared her mind enough to write an introduction speech and was ready for the next day. She despised the fact that she still had to go back to the academy but at least she was ready to introduce herself and hopefully get the students to do their work.
