Sofía had been delighted to finally figure out her dilemma with the math she had to do but was disgusted by the scent of coffee, damn drink is too bitter. She could tell Lazaro must’ve been uncomfortable when he spoke of his parents. She turned to him with a smile “Our parents would get along then,” she looked at him from behind the rim of her cup “My father had his own vice, but instead of cigars, it was alcohol.” it had never bothered her to say her father drank, because she knew he wasn’t an alcoholic. After all the poor man did have a daughter to raise and it may have taken her all of elementary school before she realized it, but she knew her mother’s death had a harsh impact on him “Just so you know, I about started going here when you gratuated.” she added to answer Lazaro’s question.

Lazaro chuckled. "You thought I was talking about my parents?" Lazaro took the cream a carefully, put one... then two drops of cream and stirred it. That was the trick. "I was a street urchin. Never knew them. Lord Death took me to Death City when I was 8 and as it turns out, it was cause he saw me mug someone with a blade for an arm," Lazaro told her, casually. It was after that, he met Lisa. The hard life he grew up with didn't apply much to a rather safe town under the 'watchful' eye of Lord Death. "I'm a tobacco farmer. Or at least I used to be till Lord Death dragged me back to this place," Lazaro said, sipping his coffee. "I sold cigars, funny enough, and I got a whole case here with me to smoke myself," he shrugged. "Life will be good till I run out and have to start buying whatever half-wit brand they have here," Lazaro said plainly. "I think your father did just fine for someone who stuck around. You look like a fine young woman," he held up his cup as a manner of saying cheers. "Although, I was never much for alcohol, coffee and cigars taste better," Lazaro gave a look that simply said 'What can I say?'. Then she mentioned her attendance at the DWMA. "Huh... time treated you much better than it treated me, even if I got a 4 year head start," Lazaro joked as he took another sip from his nearly black coffee.

Sofía chuckled as she raised her own cup to join in on the cheers “And you, sir, are quite wise.” she responded to Lazaro’s complement. She took a sip of her fruit punch and held up her index finger “However, I will say that women have this supernatural power that rivals the effect so of time itself.” she gave a nod “It is called make up, I’m sure you’ve seen some of the other female teachers wearing it.” she added. I hope so, she thought to herself, otherwise those women must really have supernatural powers, if so, then why don’t I have it. She was lost in thought before realizing she was in the middle of a conversation “Oh, my apologies, I was just thinking of something.” she explained “Tobacco farmer, huh? Before Lord Death called me in I was just working a nine to five office job.” despite how boring it may have sounded, to her it was easy and made life stable, so she was okay with it.

Nia giggled as she ran away from some loser who couldn’t take a joke. She decided to face him as she ran for a second “You’re such a crybaby, it was just a joke.” that seemed to be a bad idea, since it only made him pick up the pace. Oh no, Nia went back to facing forward, this dude is really in for blood, she thought as she saw the crowd of students in the hallway ahead. She looked back at the guy chasing her and he didn’t seem to be slowing down “Oh boy,” she started pushing through the students saying “Excuse me” multiple times as she struggled through. The guy chasing her seemed to be doing the same, here’s the plan, she thought to herself, once you’re out of the crowd, book it, once she made it out of the crowd, Nia picked up the pace herself, turning back to see the dude who was chasing her trapped.

“Ha!” she yelled back before bumping into something or someone and hitting the floor. She took a minute to sit up “I’m terrible sorry about that, some dipwad was chasing” she looked up to see that the person she had bumped into was one of the staff members. She chuckled nervously “me.” she finished her sentence before lunging the other direction as to not get caught by the faculty member, this would be her third strike. Then she realized a neat little fact, Sang-mi was still in the nurse’s office until she got better. Sweet! she thought to herself as she ran past everybody staring at her and threw open the door to the nurse’s office “Sang-mi!” she yelled before hiding under the bed, as if the meister would understand that.

Sang-mi had been trying to get some more sleep, but knowing she had to wait for her sprain to heal, pissed her off. At the very least the nurse could’ve excused her weapon from classes so she’d have someone to talk to. She sighed when she found it impossible to sleep “Grrr, it’s so boring in here!” she struggled against the blanket as she yelled. That turned out to be a mistake, apparently she wasn’t paying attention to which foot she kicked with and her ankle is now in a lot of pain. Sang-mi took a deep breath to stop the scream and merely squeaked in response. Just a few minutes and she’d be fine. That is until the door flew open to reveal Nia “Sang-mi!” she yelled her name before crawling under her bed. What the hell was this idiot doing?! It better not be some dumb prank on June.

Hestia ran up the loooooong staircase that ran up the front of the DWMA. She didn't have the time to check her watch, as she knew she was late. Who knew her mother would be so late arriving at her apartment to watch her daughter as she worked?! She then shook her head from worrying about all that. It was in the past, albeit the recent past, and now she just needed to focus on getting set up in the teacher's lounge before going to her classroom.

That thought made her smile and run faster up the stairs. It was her first day of teaching a class, after all, and knowing that she was teaching a class at her old school made her nostalgic. She remembered being a young teenager and going to classes with her now ex-husband.
"Man, times have changed..." the newly-credited teacher said to herself, and indeed she was right. She had the wedding pictures, daughter, divorce papers, and the memories in between them all to prove it. This, however, made her that much more excited to get inside the school. Same old classrooms, hallways, and ambiance of mission jitters that she remembered she knew would be the same now.

After what seemed like forever, she finally went inside the large front doors of the academy and walked down a few hallways until she arrived at the lounge. With one final sigh to catch her breath, she walked inside and saw the two other teachers who would be teaching this year. One looked like a time-worn man who seemed extremely tough both physically and emotionally, and the other looked like a well-put-together woman. Hestia, on the other hand, did not look tough or as professional-looking. A white tracksuit, sneakers, and a messy ponytail that brushed the top of her backpack that contained her class materials made up her image.

"Nice to meet you two, I'm Hestia. Can't wait to work with you both," the youngest of the three greeted as she placed her backpack on the back of a chair and held her hand out for either of them to take and shake.

Sofía turned her head towards the young woman standing at the door, she seemed to be enthusiastic about being here, How adorable, she thought when the woman held out her hand as she introduced herself. She set her cup down and shook Hestia’s hand “Welcome, my name is Sofía Lynn and I’ll be teaching the remedial class. It is a pleasure to meet you.” she smiled “And might I say, your name is very refreshing to hear and say. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Hestia one of the Greek Gods of Olympus?” she asked as she went back to the counter and continued to sip from her cup. I wonder how young she must be to look so energetic, she thought to herself once more as she realized that Hestia wasn’t as out of breath as she was when climbing the stairs. Either way she was satisfied with the introduction she gave and hoped the young teacher in front of her was as well.

Hestia gave a small chuckle at Sophia's reaction.
"Why yes, Hestia was the oldest god and the most important for establishing city-states," the youngest stated. She did like her name a lot and the goddess' lore and godly powers were a big influence on the new teacher. Patience, kindness, calm were the goddess' virtues as well as the ones Hestia used in her class curriculum.
"It's very nice to meet you, Sophia! I'm teaching the Partner Bonding and Soul Resonance class."
After she explained that, she bent down and got herself the lecture notes and introduction speech she needed for the day's class. She wanted to make sure she had everything before-hand as well as wanting to make sure she made a good first impression with her new students. The idea that she'd be stepped all over because she was new terrified her, but she knew that if she took a few moments to prepare and to practice what she preached that she'd be fine. At least, that was what she was telling herself.

Lázaro turned to the new guest and shook her hand firmly with his own rough, calloused one. “Partner bonding...” Lazaro immediately thought Kai and Ren. “I know a pair of partners who are going to fall head over heels for that class.” He listened to what the two had to say about the Greek gods, a subject he had no interest in. By the looks of it though, she seemed young enough to make him wonder if she was new. Her nervousness was the tell. “Lazaro Del Rosal, by the way. And if it makes you feel any better, I’m a new teacher too,” Lazaro said, taking a quiet sip of his coffee. He was lucky he had coffee on hand. If he had to go the whole day without it, he’d probably had told his coworkers off as well. But a caffeinated, cigar smoking Lazaro, was a happy Lazaro, and he had enough energy now to actually interact with people! Not the students though. These teachers were mature, respectable, and if Lord Death hired them, certainly qualified. “Did Lord Death give you any missions? Besides teaching, of course,” Lazaro asked. He wasn’t sure whether they knew about the Sydney attack or not but if they didn’t, the last thing he wanted to do was be the one to let such information float about. It was safer to ask the question with cautious intent. The expression on his face however made it seem, at most, the start of more small talk. He took another sip of coffee.

Sofía ended up lost in thought after seeing Hestia bend down and take out a few papers. She was reminded of Lazaro carrying papers as well, it seems as though I didn’t bring any paper work of my own, she like the other two was a new teacher, but had considered herself the least prepared. Either that or maybe she felt no need to have brought any paper work. Lord Death did say that the list of remedial students would be sent to her by the end of the day, which is why she decided to look around. Should I have written an introduction speech, she tilted her head in pure confusion, maybe if I work on it tonight, but what if it’s not good, one of her eyebrows quirked for a second. How often was it that she thought about teaching the remedial students here? Maybe once or twice? Her eyes darted between Lazaro and Hestia and realized they were having a conversation. I’m spaced out again, crap she had to grind her teeth to snap back and heard Lazaro’s question in time. To answer she shook her head “Not any recent missions at least. He sent me and my old partner on one about 5 years ago. It kinda roughed me up a bit.” she said remembering the attack that left a scar on her abdomen “Other than that, I can’t think of any.”

Hestia nodded to Lazaro in thanks. Knowing there was another new teacher made her feel a bit better.
“Nice to meet you, Lazaro,” she replied with another smile and a handshake back.

Since there was a small pause, she took that chance to take out a folder with her paperwork. Even if she was feeling a bit better knowing she was in the same boat as at least one of the two teachers in front of her, she couldn’t help but triple check. After she skimmed her writings, she gave a small relieved sigh, knowing that she was now as ready as she could be for class that day.

She then heard the older man talk about possible missions given to them.
“No, at least, I haven’t been assigned one recently. Haven’t gone on one since before I had my daughter.”
‘Heh, man that was a time to remember,’ she started to have a flashback moment about that last mission she went on. Her at-the-time new husband Kyle was her weapon, an Ancient Greek style double-edged sword, was in her hands as she was sneaking inside a building that had had a floor filled with Kishin eggs. It was them and another pair, and while none of the meisters or weapons left without some sort of injury, it was a successful mission, and the one that allowed both pairs to graduate from the program.

Snapping back to the present, she put her folder that she was holding back in her bag and zipped it up.
“Why, have you?” She asked, wondering why Lazaro brought up the topic.

Sofia was hoping people wouldn't know she was a Greystone -- it made failing at things less of a stress -- but in reality she knew that couldn't happen. As soon as Jesper got the word out the other boys regained interest, drawing the focus back to her.

"I uh... bow?" Sofia said, eyes flicking between Kai and Ren during the question about her weapon form.

The Greystone family's esteemed history felt more of a curse to her than anything to be proud of. At least to her. It followed after her, giving great first impressions and then leaving with disappointment. It was exactly like Jesper had said, she didn't deserve to be a Greystone. All she did was tarnish the name so many generations had worked hard to build.

Her broody thoughts were interrupted somewhat when Ren spoke up, chiming into Ren's questions. He looked thrilled, but mostly it seemed like he wanted to challenge them. It wouldn't be the first time someone had asked, but Sofia always declined. Jesper on the other hand...

"I don't know if we're that much stronger..." she said timidly in response to Ren's excited question. The way he suddenly covered his mouth was strange, but Sofia didn't think much of it. Maybe it has something to do with the letter from Lord Death?

Lazaro looked Sofía when she responded, then back at Hestia. She mentioned having a daughter. Lázaro nodded at her response. “Uh, actually no. I haven’t been on a mission in quite some time,” Lázaro told them. He picked up his small stack of papers and held them loosely at his side before taking a swig of his coffee. He bit down the fact that it actually burned him a little. “And I don’t intend on doing missions. Not for Lord Death that is,” Lazaro looked at the clock in the room. “Ah, would you look at that, it seems I’ve got another class soon,” Lazaro said, before giving them another nod.

He bid them farewell and promptly made his exit. Lazaro walked down the hallway and passed his classroom. He continued until he got to the entrance of the school and walked out. Lazaro made his way down the step and started to bee line through the streets. He finished his coffee and toss it into a trash can. He looked at his papers with a scowl. “Mm... who needs these,” he tossed his papers in the trash too and continued along his walk. At this point, however, Lazaro had slowed his pace. Before he seemed like he had somewhere to go. Now, it just looked like he was taking a minute or two just to look at each building.

Lazaro stopped at the street corner, looked both ways, then made a right. He passed a playground. He got to another street corner and made a left. He stopped again. He sighed. “Better I do this now, anyway. There’s no point in putting off a visit,” Lázaro said, almost as if he were trying to convince himself. Now would probably be a good time to smoke a cigar. He pulled one out of his jacket and put it in his mouth. After lighting it, he let out a huff of smoke and continued walking.

He got to another street corner and he crossed it. When he got to end, he stopped. Lázaro turned right. In front of him, was a bright, yellow house, with a neat garden decorating the tiny lawn by the front porch. Lázaro stared at it for a while, with a cold, distant look in his eyes. He looked at the mailbox. It hadn’t changed. It still had the claws marks of a cat who used to play with the red flag that showed there was mail.

Lázaro finally decided to walk up the steps and knock on the front door. He waited a moment, then it opened. A tall, lanky blonde haired teen with greasy, uncombed hair looked at him with confusion. He still wore his pajamas. Lázaro fought every urge to give him a look of utter disgust. The teen waited for a moment before asking, “Uh... are you here for anything or what?” Lázaro wasn’t sure how to respond. He... well...

“Uh, no I was just in need of some directions, that’s all,” Lázaro told him. The teen rolled his eyes. Lázaro smiled at him. Little did the kid know Lázaro was just about to burn his eyes out with the end of his cigar. “MOM!” the teen called back into the house. Lázaro heard footsteps approach. “Caleb, could you please get dressed? You’ve been upstairs playing games all morning!” the mother told him, shooing the teen away. “And take a shower, you almost smell bad enough to make me embarrassed to be your mother,” she said. “Whatever, mom,” the kid said as he walked away. Lázaro had to hand it to her. She had a sharp tongue. It was then that he realized her eyes were on him now.

“So what do you need?” she asked, expectantly. Lázaro took a moment to gather his thoughts.

“Oh, yes, um.... I was just wondering where I could find the cemetery?” Lazaro asked. The woman looked at him for a moment. “If you follow this street for a few blocks, make a right. It’ll be about a mile before you get there.” Lázaro nodded. “Thank you,” he said but before he could leave. “Wait!” the lady said, walking back into the house. Lázaro raised an eyebrow as he stood patiently in front of the door, smoking his cigar. Then, she came back. “Is your name Lazaro Del Rosal?” the mother asked. Lázaro nodded. She hand him a small painting, no larger than a table plate. 575703

“Whoever painted that must’ve been quite the artist,” she told him. Lázaro looked at it. “You left it when you were moving out. Found it collecting dust in the attic when I moved in. I just assumed it belonged to the previous owner of the house,” the mother said. Lazaro looked back at the mother.
“Well, you would be right about that. But I’m no painter,” Lázaro said. “Thank you.” The woman nodded at him. Lázaro bid her farewell and turned around to walk away. And back down the street he went.

Sofía nodded at Lázaro as a way bid him farewell, before taking another sip of fruit punch. She smiled at Hestia “How’s life been treating you, dear?” she asked making her way back to the sofa and started to look over her work for a minute. Only to remind herself she had no work to look over, other than checking the emails, there was nothing. Unfortunately, the email she thought had the list of remedial students had not arrived, she did recognize the name of who sent it, but instead of reading it, she only deleted the email and closed her laptop.

She looked at Hestia once more
“My apologies.” she said while standing and holding the laptop at her side “But it seems that I too have something to do in my class, feel free to join me.” she added and left the lounge. As Sofía walked, her left hand had started shaking, this is no fair, she thought to herself “Have you started planning lessons for your class?” she asked not looking back to check if Hestia was following or not. Her door had been unlocked, since she hadn’t attached the keys to her wallet. Just as she had done with the keys to her apartment.

Once she had entered the class room she sat at her desk, opened her laptop and started to type out the email about the remedial students to Lord Death. What had been taking the shinigami so long to send a measly email? There was no way the remedial students would end up filling the whole room! She sighed, I shouldn’t have underestimated this job, she thought to herself. And once more she had spoke without checking to see if the younger woman had joined her “I wonder if any of our colleagues had to wait hours for one email.” she complained while lying her head on her arm to stop its shaking.

Lord Death
lord_death_by_nacho_chan-d3dftx8.jpg
Every push in the mechanical keyboard was stressful, with his gigantic hands it wasn't the ideal that Lord Death sent emails, so instead of trying to act like he was about to type a whole list of students in his own home. He got up moving over to his bathroom turning the lights on and cracking his knuckles in front of the mirror created a small wave affect and his reflection ended up on the nearest mirror or glass frame to Sofía. Luckily she opened her laptop so it was the best that he could get face to face conversation through his strange abilities. Once she answered the call he coughed into his gigantic fist and waved at her, with his goofy voice he continued.

"Yo~! Hope the first day for you been fun so far, well I just wanted to call you and tell you the students that'll be in your remedial class. When everyone signed up for this school this year I paid close attention to how they answered the questions~. Some answered with a slight bit attitude but it's okay they're young right? Now! The first two your going to have is a Greystone and Zavid in your class, I feel they need the extra lessons they could get~" He said with a sweat bubble dropping down his face. "They don't get a long that well so with your class as well as Hestia's class I believe it should shape them up quite well~! Now continuing on, I would like Clementine Belrose to attend your class as well, she could get a few tips before she finds her partner, I'm sure she'd appreciate the extra lessons for advice! She's a really nice girl too! Now for the last few are." He mentioned a few more partners and single students name and then got to the last two. "Ahm, now the last two who will be attending your class will be Ren Kurosaki and Kai Takeshi. Before you ask yes that's the boy I introduced you all too a few years ago, he's pretty grown up now heh?"

"Now I will be holding a meeting with all the three star meisters in the area to announce to them a certain event that just went down. I wait till all the students are out the building so no one burst in the death room and gets scared from what they see... Anyway! Any questions? Did you meet the other teachers yet~?"

Sofía sighed in relief and lifted her head to look at the screen, she smiled at Lord Death with tired eyes “I was so confused as to why you haven’t sent the email yet,” she then regretted complaining “And then I just remembered your gigantic hands.” she chuckled nervously before clearing her throat “As for the last one you mentioned, I do remember him, I hope he’s matured as well.” She wrote the names of her future students on a sticky note and circled the names of students Lord Death made mention of, making sure to write down the descriptions of them as well.

Once more she began to speak, looking back up at Lord Death “As for questions, I don’t believe I have any, but I do want to request that Sang-mi Lee and Nia Álvarez be enrolled in my class. Sang-mi’s weapon partner will be there, so I think it’s best that she attend to help with June’s progress. And I heard that Nia doesn’t have a partner yet and despite her stats, she seems to be having behavioral issues. And yes I have met the other teachers.” she said gleefully “Hestia who is possibly in this room, is just an adorable bundle of energy. And Lázaro is very wise.” she nodded while tapping her pen against the desk as she thought of anything else to say “I believe that is all, if anything is to come up I’ll contact you through a mirror.”

She waved goodbye at the shinigami before closing her laptop and leaning back to show how relieved she had become from that one call. I should make sure to look at the stats of the esteemed students as well, she thought to herself before sending an email to request access to the information on students.

Jesper continued to frown angrily at his partner even as she spoke, "You better, I'll be watching." Jesper turned at the sound of a voice speaking to the two of them. Jesper noticed that this was the boy in his class that had pulled out the 'get out of work' card so that he didn't have to fight the teacher. Meaning that he either faked it and the teacher was too incompetent to notice, which was quite probable considering their teacher was an idiot, or he actually had special treatment from Lord Death, which was less probable but still a possibility.

At the mention of the boy recognizing his family name Jesper smiled widely, pride swelling in his chest. "Pleased to see that at least one of you understand our family, so my family name should answer your question, of course I do. Yes, I do know you though, no introduction necessary. You made quite the introduction in class when you pulled out the note from Lord Death himself. Might I question how you got that?" Jesper smiled at him crookedly as he waited for the response.

At the sound of the Idiot boy Ren's voice Jesper's smile soured a tad as he glanced over at the boy. Seems that Kai was also stuck with a dumb weapon like him. But Kai doesn't have a reputation to live up to that is being soiled by his weapon, so there's the big difference between them. "Well yes, we are quite strong, we have been prepared for this most of our lives, however there is still some... complications,"

Jesper sent a short, sour look over to Sofia before continuing, "But, Ren was it, you peaked my interest? What were you about to say before your friend Kai stopped you? You can't just start and stop, my curiosity will kill me if you do that. plus, we are all friends here. And in my knowledge of friends they usually don't keep secrets from one another." Jesper offered the boy a smile as he waited to see how he would react, hopefully with the words that he stopped saying if it was just him there, but his Meister was there, and Kai was a lot smarter than Ren. He would not be so easily persuaded.

“For the last time, Nia, I have no interest in putting up with you until you get into trouble. Now please get out.” Sang-mi said while Nia was sat on the floor with her arms and head on Sang-mi’s bed. The weapon with grey eyes only smirked at the annoyed meister “Don’t say that, anything but that.” she pretended to sound wounded “Let me stay and I’ll give you a reward~.” she said finally standing on her feet. Sang-mi quirked an eyebrow “Like I’d want anything from you.” she narrowed her eyes “And don’t think I’ll accept any money when I know it isn’t your’s to give.” she tilted her head when Nia didn’t pout like usual. What was she planning?

The meister thought for a few seconds then gasped when she realized her bag wasn’t with her “I swear Nia, if you snuck any money into my bag, I’ll make sure to burn every last bit of it you stubborn b*t” before she could finish her sentence the weapon had turned around out of nowhere and held her hand over Sang-mi’s mouth. Nia made the shushing gesture before she spoke “Swearing is not a proper thing to do as a lady” she said with a slight smirk “especially for someone as young as you.” she winced when Sang-mi nipped the part between her thumb and index. Nia was about to make another jab, but stopped herself when she saw how upset Sang-mi was with her. She felt like a puppy being scolded.

Her grey eyes had looked away from the glare but she could still feel the daggers being shot at her, maybe I took it too far, she thought to herself before looking back to see Sang-mi still upset. Yep, definitely over did it there, Nia looked down in shame “I’m sorry, please don’t be mad.” she said fidgeting with her thumbs. Sang-mi looked at the weapon and sighed “I’m not going to forgive you just because you look sad,” Nia did as she expected and gave a shocked ‘huh’ to Sang-mi’s response “but since I know there’s something genuine to your dumb apology I’ll think about it.” she added and once again as she expected Nia pounced a hug on her out of nowhere. Yep Nia was an idiot.

The sound of the door opening had caught her attention “Sorry for coming back late, I was kinda” June’s eyes went blank when she saw Nia with her arms around Sang-mi. What is that arrogant piece of trash doing with her arms around my meister, Sang-mi had noticed June was upset and sweat dropped “Uh, Nia...” she said in a warning tone “Hmmm?” which the white haired girl failed to notice until she opened her eyes and saw June. It was at that moment her face drained of color and the feeling of bliss over hugging Sang-mi turned into a feeling of fear for her life over seeing Sang-mi’s overprotective weapon. June’s eyes seemed dangerous as she greeted the older weapon “How’s it going, Nia?”

576233

“...” Nia took her time removing her arms from around Sang-mi before answering “It’s going pretty well, but uh...” she thought of the only excuse she could “I have to go.” she said hoping that was enough for June to calm down. Unfortunately, for Nia the younger girl just smirked “Okay. 10... 9... 8...” and began to countdown while her arm was stretched out. Nia panicked knowing exactly why that arm was stretched out “Oh dear...” she muttered before throwing the door open when June moved out of the way, still counting. Why on earth is she so scary, Nia thought to herself as she ran down the hall, hoping that June was only trying to scare her. She looked back for a second to see June waving goodbye with a smile and sighed in relief until she once again bumped into someone ahead of her.

Nia now from her place on the floor was looking up to see that the person she had into was acting as if him standing there wasn’t his fault. This like many other times someone wouldn’t help her as they should, pissed her off “Hey blondie, didn’t anyone tell you that if a lady falls, you should be a gentleman and help her up?” she asked in a rude tone while standing up herself “It didn’t have to be you either, could’ve been one of three idiots with you.” she added starting to head a different direction.

Kai Takeshi
576419
Kai knew him covering Ren’s mouth would spark interest in the others so he stayed quiet until asked about it. Kai looked at Jesper once he spoke up. He was interested in why he had or at least got that letter from Lord Death he scratched the back of his head smiling nervously.

“He actually gave it to me before school started because he saw something was wrong with my soul I guess. He hasn’t figured out what is wrong with me, but I’ll be getting check ups here and there from the school nurse. She’s going to try and see whats going on with my wavelength that makes me so unable to hold other weapons.” He said with a genuine smile, he was saying the truth he really didn’t even know what was wrong with him he just lived with a conscience always being made fun of by other meisters for his inability to hold other weapons.

Kai then looked to Ren once Jesper’s questioning turned to him so Kai was hoping Ren wouldn’t spill it to fast and keep the secret like promised.

Ren Kurosaki
576417
Ren looked at Jesper when he mentioned his name which made Ren’s right eyebrow perk up. He was wondering why Kai stopped him while he spoke, Ren couldn’t tell them that they were raised by him and even worked for him during the off season from school. Even though he did make a point about them all being newly found friends Ren scratched the back of his head and laughed.

“Cut the crap if I told you, you’ll be too scared to fight us! What I was gonna say though so you’re brain won’t explode is that me and Kai and hold our own against multiple relcs.” He had a smirk on his face making it sound like he was genuinely serious. Then a girl appeared bumping into Jesper which made him diverted his attention to her.

“What the hell?”

Sofía sighed as she stressed over her introduction speech, wondering why she wanted to do it now. Her trash can was filled nearly to the brim with wadded up paper and her tongue was practically red from the amount of cherry flavored jolly ranchers she had sucked on while working on the speech. However, eventually, she felt like she had something good, that is... until her hand slipped as she was erasing and ripped the paper “Ugh, screw it!” she yelled wadding up the paper once more and throwing it in the trash.

If those damn kids wanted an introduction speech from me, they should’ve asked for one, she thought furiously as she stood from her seat, left the room, and looked for someone to complain to, since it turned out Hestia really wasn’t in her class room. It was a pain that she’d have to buy another bag of jolly ranchers too. Fortunately, she realized there was a window of time for her to go to her apartment and relax through playing her guitar.

“I doubt Lord Death would mind...” she muttered to herself while changing directions and headed towards the exit. She was annoyed by the fact that she’d have to go up the stairs again, but it was worth it if it meant she’d get sometime to play the one song she knew on guitar. Maybe even get her neighbor to sing for her; the woman did have a beautiful voice, and as much as Sofía liked to sing, her voice wasn’t nearly as good. The teacher chuckled, maybe the song I’m practicing would get her attention?

After a long while, she finally made it down the stairs and had been reminded why it wasn’t worth going out during breaks at the DWMA; if you were like her, who happened to wear high heels at 17, then you know that your feet were practically dying by the time you make it down the stairs. Not to mention, taking off the heels would make it less painful, but leave the soles of your feet stinging, so there was no winning when it came to the DWMA stairs.

Her eyes widened when she realized her apartment building was about three miles from the school. Can’t turn back now, she thought and continued walking. A few feet in she put her high heels back on when noticing that people were staring at her and probably thought she was a madwoman. She hated having to do so, but it was embarrassing to walk around like that if people were going to stare.

Sofía glared at the sun when she began sweating “Damn sun!” her eyes had moved away from the smiling sun and noticed a man with a buggy labeled transportation carriage, and sighed in relief. She took out a crumpled piece of paper from her blazer and wrote down the address of her apartment building. Before the man left she made sure to catch up “Excuse me, sir,” she said handing him the slip of paper.

“How much would it cost to” she noticed his gaze on her legs but decided to give him an excuse “Is there something on my shoe?” she asked in a confused manner to scare him. The man shook his head and told her the price for the travel. As he spoke, she saw Lázaro walking, but decided it was against her better judgement to call out to him, he seemed upset. She smiled after paying the fee and sat behind the drive while they were now headed to her apartment building.

Hestia followed Sophia to another room, one of the classrooms to be exact, and the white-haired woman was thinking to herself all the while. While she kept up a calm and collected profile, she had the habit of overthinking everything and making sure everything was in its place, especially when new things happened in her life.
'Okay, let's see... Philia is with the babysitter, we should have enough food for this week so I don't need to do any grocery shopping, I have my paperwork and lesson plans for today, I remembered to bring my keys, I... Oh, I should probably make sure I have my class list and see what my own classroom looks like...'
She then perked up and faced Sophia again as she realized how deep in thought she was.
"Oh, yes I have started planning! I have some basic lesson plans all written out, but I'm waiting to see what the students are like and what they'll need before I plan any more out," she replied just before the computer screen before the older of the two turned from a desktop to a video chat with Lord Death.

As Sophia and Lord Death discussed what they needed to, Hestia rummaged through her papers to see if she could find her class list... or, did she even have one?
'No, no, not that one... oh, no that's the wrong list... huh, guess I never prepared one after all...' Now knowing this, she gave Sophia a quick silent wave goodbye (as she was still video chatting) and headed off to her own classroom. Maybe there would be some sort of class list there?

Going down the hallways, she looked at all of the door plaques until she found the one with her name on it. Walking inside the empty room, she saw that there was a desk in front of a blackboard, some desks in rows, and some yoga mats that were leaning on the wall, per Hestia's request. With the kind of class she was teaching, making sure her students were comfortable mattered a lot. She went over to the desk and started to look through the drawers and folders. Nothing.

Sitting down on the chair in front of her new desk, she took out her own computer and booted it up. She decided that she too would contact Lord Death to see about the details of her class she lacked. As that was happening, she took out a pen and a notebook so that she could record the student's names. Once that was finished, she took a breath.
"Okay, let's see..." Typing in 4242-564 into the menu that was part of her school account, she waited for the response of Death himself.

Lord Death

Scuffling through files Lord Death was trying to go through SINLESS’s past records of their crimes. He was scratching the side of his head with his index finger and noticed various sightings in Italy. He sighed digging and digging till he heard a weird ringtone which reminded him of someone calling him so he turned to his body mirror and answered the call. It was another one of his three star meisters he had asked to be his teacher at dwma, Hestia. Clearing his throat he waved at her with one of his gigantic hands.

“Yo whats up?”

With a smile and a wave back, Hestia greeted Lord Death through her computer screen.
"Hello Lord Death! I was just looking through my records and lesson plans for my class and, on further inspection, found that I don't yet have a list of which students will be attending it. Is there a way for me to find out such information on my own or do you happen to know so I can write their names down?" she asked; her pen and notebook in hand in case he revealed the names verbally. Knowing who would be attending was important to her, as her class would primarily be focusing on the specific needs of each student rather than a concrete curriculum. All bonds, especially the ones between meister and weapon partners, are different from one another and therefore unique.

Nia stopped for a second after hearing someone ask ‘What the hell?’ she gulped before turning back. With the idea that it was the guy she bumped into who asked, she suddenly bowed to him “Please don’t kill me! I’m a piece of garbage compared to you! I’m not even a stickler for manners. I was just trying to sound cool. I’m so sorry!” the white haired girl had practically been rambling by this point. She looked up for a quick second and kept talking “Furthermore, I don’t have a meister, so we can’t even fight, those are the rules.” she insisted trying to keep herself from being rude again. Hopefully that’ll cool him down.

Jesper raised his eyebrows at the boy's response. He had never really heard of someone with such a dangerous wavelength that not even lord death himself didn't know what was wrong with him. The closest thing he knows of that would have the effect is a Kishin... Jesper looked the boy over briefly, he didn't look anything of the sort of Kishin he knew about. Could there be something else at play here...? Maybe, but Lord Death is checking up on him every day as the boy said, if something more sinister were at play here it would be found easily by him.

Jesper smiled annoyed at Ren's response to him trying to understand more about them. He had no right to talk to him like that, the idiotic, careless, infuriating- Jesper's anger dissipated at Ren's next words. Take on multiple relics? Why would his partner stop him from saying that? That didn't seem anywhere near a big enough of a deal to stop your partner from saying.

Jesper's thoughts were taken away as someone bumped into him, causing his glasses to almost to go flying off his face if he didn't catch them. The world went completely blurry for a moment as he held his glasses, confused what just happened. Putting back on his glasses he heard an angry voice. His face turned disgusted at the way they were talking to him, turning to confront the person he saw a girl.

The girl sad her last words before turning to leave, however, the confusing comment from Ren caused her to turn around and become very... scared? What on earth was this girl on? She bumped into him and she thought she had some right to get mad at him for it. "How dare you talk to me like that you little shit. What right do you have to talk to me like that then act all innocent," Jesper grabbed her shoulder so she wouldn't turn to walk away this time,

"Who taught you that doing anything you just did was ok? You acted all angry then turned scared to look cool? Psh, you can't get out of this that easily. If you were really trying to look cool you wouldn't turn into a pile of disappointment the moment someone said something to you. Don't play with me girl, you can't just walk away like that, you not only bumped into me but tried to blame it on me and thought you had any right to talk to me like that. Do you have any idea who I am?!? you should be lucky that I don't cut you down where you stand you sack of poorly, package, horse shit!"

Jesper was seething with rage. Who did the people in this school think they were?!?! They had no right to think that they were equal in any way to him. They were all bellow him and this bimbo thinks that she can just do this to him. Completely disgusting, this school makes him sick. He was always told that this was the school that the best of the best came from, but right now it just looks like a joke.

Shit, shit, shit! Nia’s mind screamed as she smiled nervously at the scary guy, should’ve ran while I had the chance, she observed for any clue of who he was when the question came to mind... no damn clue... and her initial idea of running was off the table since he had caught her by the shoulder. Her eyes looked from left to right trying to find a way out of her situation, “Have you by chance heard of the Álvarez family?” she asked tilting her head “In case you haven’t, well that’s my family and we’re loaded. Forget all this happened and I’ll give ya a good sum.” she figured resorting to bribery like she had done in middle school would help. After all, her father had given her the same entitlement of her half siblings. Money was something she had no trouble giving if it got her out of trouble.

As Nia waited for him to let go of her so she could give him as she promised she decided to observe the other three. The girl seemed quite cute, but depending on whether or not she was a meister or weapon, looks could only get her so far. Next were the two guys standing behind Mr. Hothead. To her they looked pretty average, not too strong, nothing impressive, their looks weren’t anything to keep her attention. Naturally her eyes wandered back to the girl, maybe she could help, she gave a kind smile to the girl before mouthing “you’re cute, wanna help” then looked back at the pissed off guy in front of her.

“Why haven’t you let go yet?” she asked losing all interest in being nice “We both know that money is as good as yours once you do so.” she said knowing her argument was good enough. Her father was a disgusting man but the one good trait he had given her was money and the ability to use it. After all, that’s how the bastard had manipulated her innocents mother, believing the bills he had been paying were enough for her to let him be. Not to mention her reckless spending, was costing him a lot and she loved knowing that he couldn’t do anything, when his wife was already so accepting of Nia’s behavior.
