kenny-kong-galaxyhoodgirl2.jpg A gentle touch by the shoulder was enough to snap Viola out of her trance. There was a soft pitch coming from the girl she had bumped into. It comes as a surprise that instead of calling her weird, or scolding her, she was comforting her. In her time during the orientation, Arma and this girl are the only ones who have shown her kindness. While, yes most did not seem to hold a spec of malice, and possibly nervous on the first day could be the reason behind everyone being closed.

"Is it the game? Nobody's gonna get hurt, I promise,"

Oh. She's assuming that Viola is afriad of the game. She hasn't really thought about it, but the more she did, the likelier the outcome of being seen under the hood will be seen. Aside from that, there was another terrifying thought and it might be leading to her truth. Maybe the weapon won't be such a big mouth or smart. As long as they're clueless and kind, she can get away with things, right?

"I know it's hard to be in a new place, but this doesn't have to be a bad thing. It's exciting!"
Excitement is an understatement for how she's feeling and the main reason she's stuck in this mess in the first place is because someone didn't dress themselves properly. On that note, Viola decided speak instead of keeping the girl waiting. She peers up, as the lighting made her face visible and showing violet eyes with a ring surrounding her pupil. "I'm not afraid. I was just bothered by someone's dress code. It's messy. I mean how could anyone wear such a formal attire without putting any effort to look proper? It looks like a delinquent. She doesn't deserve to wear an attire so apppropriate if she's not going to wear it right." She huffed eyeing the mentioned girl by the entrance. "Thank you for asking about my well-being, though I'm surprised given how I foolishly ran into you. Sorry again."

The conversation is interupted as one of the teachers who lead the second group, approached the girls, concerned about Viola's small panicking. His face recognizable, but he did not know her given how she was mostly home schooled until now. "Oh it's you." She said nonchalantly. "I'm fine professor, thank you for checking up on us. I just had...a moment of disgust with a student's atti-" The sudden sound of concrete bashed with something startles her. Her jaw drops in disbelief letting out a deep gasp. the small creves made by Kyleigha was deepened. The cracks spread further as well. It was the last straw, first CJ, then the Irish girl, Kyleigha and now this oaf? It left Viola mortified, having to pull out the big guns as she takes in a deep breath and hollars at the man from across the room. "HEY YOU! YOU BAFOON! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOOOOIIIINNNG? THIS PLACE BARELY GOT RENOVATED AND YOU HAD THE AUDACITY TO CAUSE A DENT TO SUCH A PERFECTLY STRUCTURED PLACE? IF YOU'RE GONNA USE YOUR HEAD, NEXT TIME, DON'T! I MEAN WHAT THE HELL GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO BREAK PRIVATE PROPERTY?"

As if that wasn't enough, another chronically ill person decided to shoot the ceiling. Did no one have a sense of sanity? She snaps away towards the male babbling and standing as if he was the best thing ever. Out of everyone, she was the first to say what everyone was thinking. "YOU! WHY DON'T YOU SHUT THE HELL UP AND GET DOWN FROM THERE. NOBODY GIVES A RATS ASS BUT MY SHOE IN YOU ASS!"

Koyorin 🍎 on Twitter.png For the umpteenth time, her thoughts are bombarded with a lecture of what Milo perceieves as right. One thing thing was for sure, he was no different than a salesman. Annoying and what's worse she felt attacked even when he mentioned aggression barbaric. He was right, but it didn't hurt any less. She was managing and possibly the guy behind her was too. He had no right to judge. Valentina growls under her mask as he continues to talk. Cheeks flare up when mentioning courting. That isn't at all what she was thinking, though she was throwing it out of proportion and found the term unexpected, but to be brought up so casually?

Once he finished ranting, she gave him a definite answer. "Do you always listen to what people say?" Her voice stern as her piercing gaze locks onto him with a tint of fury. "Your elder isn't here, you don't have to listen to their advice. You can choose whoever you want as long as its not me, but you're willing to take advice then here is one for you. If someone is obviously giving you hints that they don't like you then don't bother. I don't like you. You're annoying. You also don't get to decide how barbaric someone is. You have no clue who they are and what they have been through. You claim you have read me, I find it's impolite. Stay away from my soul and don't read me again or next time I will beat you to a bloody pulp with no hesitation." Her fist clenches tighter and tighter trying to restrain her her rage. "I'm pretty sure we have nothing in common. There is your answer. With all your wisdom, I'm sure you can get the memo now that it's confirmed. I hope you are willing to respect one's wishes and leave me the hell alone." Her voice growing dark the longer she spoke. Staring at the punk irked her more.

Valentina did not bother to hear him as she needed to step away and lean back agains the wall taking deep breaths and practice her anger managing. Things were not any better when someone else made a ruckus by shooting up the ceiling, startling her. One of the students stood high on the bleachers making an announcement about how great they are. It was an insult. She would gladly like to punch the crap out of this guy thinking he's better. "I'll see you on the battlefield". She grumbled.

Despite everything that was going on around him, from the new people that seemed to poppin' up outta nowhere like they friggin' teleported in from some DWMA student spawning location and the hectic displays of Soul Me-whatever from Kyleigha and Erik, his attention was relatively focused on his new buddy Sebastian. Because apparently he was gonna finally see that AWESOME and SUPER COOL re-whatever bow form of his! HELL YEAH! Arma was so friggin' pumped and it was easy to see, not like normal pumped, super pumped, or even uber pumped for that matter. The shorty was SUPER-DUPER ULTRA pumped! So much so that he could feel his soul force beginning to collect in his heart as it raced rapidly before shooting down into his feet. Oh man oh man this is gonna be soooooo AWESOME! Oh wait wait! I gotta do some stretches beforehand! Can't let loose with tight muscles!

His enthusiasm however did a quick double take when the weapon had informed him that he wouldn't be able to thrash someone with the bow, the young meister's face about to turn sour before he had seen his partner begin to transform, the light that surrounded him reflecting faintly in the glow of the loudmouth's own as he stared in awe. This time it was Sebastian that had been drawing all of the energetic meister's attention, and just when the weapon's phenomenal form was beginning to show, Arma would hold out his hand in excitement and anticipation. He had seen it before of course, but it amazed him every single time, seeing how people and souls could morph into these destructive forms capable of terminating the worst evils of the world, and he was about to hold one. Talk about EXHILARATIN'! As the golden bow had been grasped in the palm of his outstretched hand, his eyes glazed over the intricate designs. "So cool..." The large grin on his face was unmissable, and he couldn't help but indulging his desires a bit.

After a quick breath, Arma would spin the bow around constantly with his hand, the balance of the weapon as it twirled around him was as natural and light as he would normally with a pen. Bringing it around his back, he would throw Sebastian up into the air once again before catching him in his left hand, holding the bow out in front of him and gripping the drawstring lightly with his right. "You pull on this thing with a TWANG right and the arrows go flyin'? Where are the arrows? Do ya like... generate 'em? That'd be so cool! I gotta try it out!" As he was beginning to take aim, the shorty's concentration and aim was broken by the anger of a certain... once super shy hooded individual. Eyes sliding over to none other than Viola, whose temper seemed to flare up massively at the constant displays and destruction. Should probably do somethin' about that! Don't wanna let things get things outta hand! Cracking his neck as he made his way over, the young meister chuckled: "You givin' 'em a hard time Viola? This place was made for stuff like this! Plus... we can just show 'em what were made of in this exercise! It'll be a riot to see all of the fun tricks everybody'll have up their sleeve! It's going to be FUN!"

CJ's smile grew wide as the Kat gave her name. "Well Kathrine, nice too meet you too." He pats her head before she zoomed over to one of the students. The bulky one who crafted a dent to the wall. He sweat drops over the destruction. "So that's what that sound was. Lady Death will have a say about this. Though I feel this whole field will be a mess in a matter of minutes. Another fellow introduced themselves. A dirty blonde who had mistaken their name. "Nice to meet you Elyn. Are you aware your first and last name sound almost the same?" He jested only for the blonde to proceed his thoughts about Capture the flag. "Everyone's a critic, but thank you for the input." Two others introduced themselves the same way as the sandy blonde. One of them caught his attention. The name "Rung" was a familiar hero in the legend. A descendant no doubt. CJ found it interesting as to what the new generation has in store. The amount of sheer confidence filling the room. Everyone had a goal, a passion to strive for coming in all shapes and sizes than last years. The bunch with their own quirk with the exception of two female students informed to be kept vigilant. CJ knew one, but the other was in this very room.

The startling sound of gunfire grabs everyone's attention, including a firey hooded girl who is as expected. The boy he previously shrugged off was making their announcement. Talking big and telling everyone how strong of a character he is. CJ never would have guessed, then again the quiet ones are always the deadly ones. He'd be sure to watch the idiot if he were to actually keep his word. Otherwise he would be no threat, but carefully monitored. "This certainly is intriguing." CJ scoffed. "Hey kid!" He called to the student on the bleachers. "You mind not shooting up the place? Lady Death will give you hell to pay and that includes suspension from school so you might not even make the cut. Try not to destroy anything she's a polished person?" He smiled.

Next he scanned the room, fueled up to start the game. A perfect timing. He would admit the kid has a way to start a fire. It will be of use in the future if he's not killed. "Alright, students, listen up! It's time to put yourself to the test. First, we're going to pair you guys up. Weapon and meister. As I said in the tour for those in the first group, I won't be choosing your partners. It's not up for me to decide. The choice to make a pact between you and your partner belongs to you. Some of you it's not ideal and some of you have already found each other just by sensing one another. Here is what I want you to do. Meisters, stand in a row and weapons stand in a row across. You're all going to be facing each other from a five feet distance. Both sides must calm themselves, concentrate on wavelengths and souls. Follow the one that is most comfortable to you. The one that allures you. Once you feel close enough, you will find that your partner in front of you and will be so for the rest of the school year. Now line up and I will give the signal to move once everyone is stationed."

kenny-kong-galaxyhoodgirl2.jpg Why did infuriating things have to happen? What fault is it of a room for being unable to defend itself against those who cannot control themselves. Sad to say, she is one of those folks and let it get the best of her. It was one after another. How could it not tick her off? It was poking at her, egging her to snap and it worked brilliantly.

Arma approached Viola, laughing over the fact that the room is to be trashed given it's a battlefield. "No!" She growled. "There are some things that can be preserved in a battlefield. You're telling me no?" She puffs her cheeks, already flustered out of both embarrassment and anger. When Arma added settling issues in the game, Viola's stomach dropped. Her fear of resonating inching closer and in an instant grew quiet. The boy's bubbly aura somewhat calmed her, rubbing some of his excitement onto her, but it wasn't enough to subside the storm of doubt within her.

CJ's voice echoes as he starts rallying up the class and instructing them where to go, what to do and how to pair each other up. Lost in the confines of her mind, Viola drags her sulky figure towards the center and faces forward while the weapons will face them from across. She hung her head, waiting for the line of people. This was it. Now is the time for her to either bail or go through with it, but she has no choice. She grips her left arm tightly contemplating.

Koira Farech

It would seem she had freaked the tall one out so much that no introduction would be given in return. All that he seemed to be able to muster was a thumbs up followed by a grin that was oddly handsome adorning the face of someone that came off built like a war machine. Her multicolored eyes rose to lock onto his eyes for a moment as she mumbled something under her breath, hand rising to mimic the thumbs up out of a social courtesy. She might suck gravely when it came to any form of conversation but maybe she was so strange that it just put people off from her. It’s not like someone would look at her face and think ‘ oh she’s pretty ‘. Her scar surely erased any room for appearing attractive in that sense and her soul wasn’t any different. “ I couldn’t possibly have awestruck someone who can snap me in half. “ The words were meant for just her, but they let themselves become audible. Her gaze rose to the ceiling, taking a break from viewing all the random happenings about the gym. It steeled itself there, tracing the structural beams that hung overhead like a pattern that she was trying to figure out and memorize.

She was so entranced that Alice approaching didn’t even register until the girls hands were on her own. A couple possible reactions forced their way to the front of her mind and she had better make a decision quick. Pull away? Maybe. Deck her in the face? Refrain. Push her away? Brash. During the whole mental conflict she felt her hands make the choice on their own as she gently squeezed and tugged on Alice’s hands, closing the distance between them as she pulled the girl towards her. What is that? A shiver ran down along her spine, goosebumps spreading like a wildfire along her skin. Madness? She felt it deep in her soul. Instead of fear or disgust, Koira just felt sad. Alice is battling this on her own while wearing a smile the entire time… Koi couldn’t help but stare at Alice for a long time in silent contemplation. This is her secret to keep. The blonde’s words finally snapping her out of the odd trance she was in, she was able to smile faintly to the laugh and playful jest of not taking it easy on her. “ We’ll see. “ It felt strange when her hands were empty once again, Alice having pulled her hands out of her grasp. Her gaze lowered to stare at her vacant hands, fingers flexing a bit, though her mind was anything but barren. I can help her, she thought with confidence, knowing her wavelength could keep Alice in check if needed.

Kasper started spouting off and Koi gave him a sidelong glance that was followed by a very uncaring scoff. “ You do you, Kasper, but I’m not here to entertain you. “ That was all she had to offer the boisterous boy who was no different than the ones flaunting around the size of their ego in the form of flirts or empty words. The kid had spunk, she'd give him that. He definitely knew how to get all eyes on him, though if that was a positive or negative thing would have to be established at a later time. She immediately thought of Elgin and she shot him another glare from across the room. Oh I haven’t forgotten about you, you arctic haired prick. She’d chosen her rival for the year, something about him just rubbed her the wrong way.

One of the teachers spoke up and Koira immediately gave CJ her full attention, standing behind Alice and peering over her shoulder at him. His instructions were clear to follow and made sense. Easy enough. Koira wasn’t worried, she had a feeling of whose soul she resonated with already, she had felt it; confirmed it. She reached for Alice’s hand and grabbed it with unwavering certainty, pulling her towards the line that a hooded girl was starting. “ I’ll protect your secret whether we are partners or not. “ She spoke quietly, loud enough for the green eyed girl to hear, but nobody outside of them would’ve caught it. Another squeeze of the hand was given before her hand slid out of Alice’s and she found her way across from Viola to stand on the weapon side. She offered the meister across from her a small smile, lips curved the slightest bit. Koira had to admit the hood was pretty awesome looking, another thing she felt she could never pull off. The thought made her think back to Kane’s words about her tie and she subconsciously reached up to fiddle with it, cheeks glowing with a doting scarlet.

Pssst. Hey, chin up! “ She offered Viola a little bit of reassurance, trying to get her attention from her standing point opposite of her.

Kat flinched at Kasper's sudden appearance; she had been so focused on Elyn that she hadn't notice him approaching. Her momentary look of surprise quickly changed into a pouty, angry face. She didn't like how sinister he seemed as he lectured her shield friend. She childishly stuck out her tongue at Kasper and watched him poutily as he started to walk away.

Her poutiness quickly dissolved into concern as she heard the vitriol in Elyn's voice. She placed a hand on his shoulder and wanted to tell him to forget about Kasper, but she was interrupted by the sound of a gunshot. Her pouty face returned as she glared at the source. Of course it was Kasper, he hadn't finished his little spiel yet. "Nyan...," she exclaimed grouchily, rolling her eyes. She turned away and ignored the last bit of Kasper's speech. She couldn't help but notice Elyn's sad look.

"Elyn...?" she softened back up. She felt his hand touch her's; hopefully he'd find the warmth comforting. "Why wouldn't I be, nyan?" she asked, leaning her head to the side. She closed her eyes and flashed a grin. "Don't worry about it. He doesn't know what he's talking about; he's just being angsty, nyan! Of course I still want to be your partner."

"Alright, students, listen up! It's time to put yourself to the test. First, we're going to pair you guys up. Weapon and meister. "Nyan!?" Seriously. "But I just found a partner...," she muttered, looking disappointed. Would she just have to try to find Elyn again? "Nyan!" she exclaimed, eyes sparkling as she began being chipper again. "Don't worry. I'll be your partner for sure, just watch!" she added enthusiastically. She scampered over to the empty spot beside Alice and searched the weapon line to see where Elyn ended up so she could flash him a smile.

Looking over the room as he finished his little episode, it was crystal clear that he had gotten the reaction he had expected, angry faces glaring up at him from several of the students as well as those who seemingly tried to act nonchalant about it all. Regardless of how they wanted to portray themselves, it was clear that Kasper had managed to force a reaction from most of them, his comments stoking a fire within their souls even if it meant that Kasper had to play the villain. A role that he would play to its fullest if it meant that everyone else here would take their time here more seriously. If they expected to get through this school year making friends and having tea parties, than they were in for a shock out in the real world; this golden era that many spoke off hiding a darker and more sinister reality. Kasper smirked, the sudden changes he could see from various students an amusing sight to say the least.

Kaspers eyes fell upon Elyn, the weapon he had just a few moments ago 'poked and prodded'. Words meant to illicit an immediate response were spoken and considering the reply Elyn had given Kasper as he walked away, he knew he had hit the mark with his jibe. This much was evident by his immediate retort, claiming that half the class already knew he was a shield anyway. 'So what? that thought had rung through his mind as he was climbing up the bleachers. That just meant the other half didn't know about his abilities and that alone was reason enough to keep it a secret for now. In all his vitriol did he forget forget that only those unable to actually adhere to etiquette and arrive on time had heard it. Everyone who actually bothered to make it here on schedule did not know; Kasper included. Was it really this easy to cause his resolve to falter and to have his nerve waver? Perhaps that was the cause for his apparent dark past, a shield unable to stand resolute, to remain unfazed in the face of criticism d unable to defend ones beliefs was hardly a shield worthy of the name. What good was a shield that crumbled this easily?.

Honestly did he really think that being so open about his powers was going to be beneficial to their group? Kasper disagreed with that belief, it was short sighted, deluded and lacking in forethought. Had he wanted to do as such, he should have just waited for the Capture the Flag teams to be announced. To claim that he was looking into the future was laughable at best Today may have been a game of capture the flag, but outside in the real world it was a battlefield. Knowing how to react when surprised and caught off guard was an invaluable skill that could mean the difference between life and death. The enemy isn't just going to walk up to you and reveal their hand, so why should that be any different in this scenario. Likewise it was more than likely possible that at some point in their career's they'd be paired with an unfamiliar Weapon and Meister. Knowing how to adapt to the situation was again, a skill only gained through experience. Merely revealing your form and hoping it would help everyone was nothing more than an attempt to cuck someones ability to grow. Being loose lipped was far more detrimental than it was beneficial. That's how Kasper saw it and while he may have gone too far in his antics, perhaps it was better for Elyn in the long run to develop some thick skin.

Viola's outburst was for lack of a better term, a surprise. Kasper did not expect her to be so vulgar now that Kyleigha and Erik had managed to force her out of her shell; though Kaspers little gun fire had seemed to be the final trigger. Her outburst was nothing short of amusing for Kasper, whose red eyes locked upon her momentarily. He did not expect such language from her; that skittish behaviour she had portrayed outside in the courtyard a complete inverse to the person standing down in front of him. The quiet ones were often the most surprising.

Approaching her was one of the latecomers from the other group, her split coloured hair hard to miss and hard not to like, the contrast between the snow white and rose red quite appealing to the eye. A large scar was visible amidst the strands of red, an old yet visible mark upon her face and a story that Kasper may just about be willing to hear, should the opportunity arise. Though all that aside, she seemed to care little for Kasper's antics, though that did not stop him from from replying to her claim. "But you already are." he merely replied, though any attempt to poke her more was put to rest as CJ called him out.

"Sure. If you say so CJ" replied Kasper, ".. though I can't make any promises. Someone needed to get this party started, this fake goody two shoes act everyone is trying too hard to put up was simply not cutting it anymore" he finished beginning to step down from the bleachers with pocketed hands. "Also I'm sure she'd be more concerned with the actual structural damage over there, rather than a mere scorch mark on the ceiling" he added, pointing towards Eriks and Kyleigha's damage. He glanced over to Kyleigha and stuck his tongue out. Nothing was official yet, he saw no reason not to throw Kyleigha under the bus for now. Erik on the other hand.. well it just seemed right up his alley to be sold out like this. :p.

As CJ began to direct them, Kasper casually strode up to one end of the weapon line, ignoring the looks and gazes that he may have received from the others.

Cadence Harper

A glance up to the teacher. Cadence offered a shrug of her shoulders, and withdrew her hand, continuing to crouch beside the girl. "...I think it's nerves," she started, but Viola answered herself. She was this worked up about clothing? There was no way. Cadence tried to keep the surprise off of her face, and her lips twisted more into a sort of grimace; she nodded as sympathetically as she could muster.

"It's not a problem," she started, head turning a bit to the side at the noise; what seems to startle her more is the sudden yelling beside her. The girl leaned back on her hand from the crouch, pushing off the ground quickly. She allowed the momentum to move her back, a few feet from the hooded woman, legs straight. A tilt of her head - the other girl is agitated, but what was she supposed to do, what could she do? Nothing. Nothing she could think of, anyways. It would be best to try to untangle herself from whatever kind of mess this was going to be.

The girl changed focus, nodded in response to CJ's instructions. She took a few steps forward, sidling around Quinn. She raised her chin, up, whispering into his ear.
"I'm starting to think we might be the sane ones here."

A shrug, and she kept walking, five feet in front of Quinn she spun on her heel. There seemed to be conflict going on about them. Kasper showboating, too many people smashing things - why was in necessary to damage the building? Were these people really that violent in their day-to-day lives? Insanity. Plainly and simply unreasonable. The girl regulated her breathing; focused on a spot behind Quinn on the auditorium wall. She'd wait for the rest of them to become orderly.

It didn't bother her.

Alice was surprised and happy that Xav had noticed her style about going at this. She had the ideas, the right precautions, everything she needed to be a decently good leader. The only downside was her madness if it wasnt controlled properly. Everyone was getting pumped, everyone was getting excited. Then there was a guy named Kaspar who spoke up and said to make this entertaining and that he wouldnt lose to anyone in this room. Yikes, big ego much? "If you think we're going to be your pawns, you're wrong. You're gonna lose or win, it doesnt matter. Either way this is just an exercise for all of us. If you think it's a game, then you're wrong. This is an exercise that tests various skills like strategy, working together, and seeing if we can get the objective." she pointed out to Kaspar before rolling her eyes and hearing CJ speak up. She paid attention and then nodded. He was right, she didnt have a partner yet, hell, majority of the group didnt have their partners yet. She began to walk to her respective mark, but stopped when her hand was suddenly grabbed. The blonde looked behind her and noticed it was Koira, who was then was pulling her to the lines instead.

The Meister followed without second thought, confused as to why Koira was tugging her along instead. Then it was clear when she spoke, allowing her eyes to widen in shock. She already figured it out? It was good that she was going to keep her secret, but the scary part was if Alice would scare away Koira if she ever seen the madness within... Koi squeezed her hand before she let go and went to the weapon line. One already knows... If anyone else does, its possible they can take advantage of that. Kaspar looks like one to do so. Alice made her way over to the Meister line and stood there, Kat being on her side and giving the blonde some hopes. She's so cute. So innocent seeming too. A warrior that can deceive their opponents is often the best type. Cause many dont expect someone so innocent to be very deadly. she thought to herself. Her eyes watched as the weapons slowly began to line up on their line, and she took this time to relax her nerves, this allowed her to close those emerald green eyes and breathe calmly.

In all honesty, she hoped her weapon partner would be someone who would be brave enough to stick around with her madness. Strong enough not to be taken over by her madness if it ever got to a point. If she had gotten a partner who wanted to run from her, it would make her school year very hard, and perhaps she may never find a proper partner. A worry that was going to plague her mind till she got the right person. These thoughts are the bane of my existence...I'll never be able to match with someone if I cant clear my head. she opened her eyes and lowered her gaze, looking down at her shoes. A distraction was what she needed. Suddenly, words caught into her ears and she lifted her head, looking over in Kaspar's direction "Goodie two shoes? Why is it that you keep picking on your classmates? That's not okay." her eyes narrowed "A weapon should be happy he's getting a Meister. Should be happy in this very moment." unlike him, Alice was happy for all of this, grateful for it. Having nothing in her past to hold onto, she grew to appreciate everything she was given. No matter how worried or scared she would be. "You should appreciate everything you get because one day you may not have it."

Carlin stepped into the Death Scythe's shadow minutes into the modest tour. He hadn't a said a word to anyone short of his polite introduction sans his name. Honestly it wasn't necessary. The way the hidden blade one girl unsheathed during their walkabout to jab everyone else wasn't necessary. That one guy trying and failing to stop the bleeding was unnecessary, the damage had been done and no one that dense could ignore the underlying insult slash injury to their life experiences up until this school. Well played miss, well played. Impressions according to his mental guide towards happiness included and standing at the forefront - making a good layout for future interactions and perceptions. Obviously you can't control how others view you, but humility has gloves big enough for that steaming pile of hot shit skirting the edge of one's mouth just waiting to splatter and taint. On that note Carlin had to slap back a laugh from once it came before magnetizing unwanted teenage edge his way, Sunday was the day of rest and coming here already killed that joy for him. No way he'd let anymore flowers get plucked over some human souls rashness. ...He closed his eyes on that thought, curses skipping on behind it as his fingers explored the lush brown fields on his scalp. She said the first step was accepting it. Inhale exhale. Accept it and try to move on.

You are just as human as the rest of them.

"Alright, students, listen up!"

Small boots roamed the outer rim as Mr. Jester leaned the most he'd seen so far over on the serious side of things.

"-It's time to put yourself to the test. First, we're going to pair you guys up. Weapon and meister. As I said in the tour for those in the first group, I won't be choosing your partners. It's not up for me to decide. The choice to make a pact between you and your partner belongs to you."

Permanently cherry-touched cheeks tightened their grip.

"-Some of you it's not ideal and some of you have already found each other just by sensing one another. Here is what I want you to do. Meisters, stand in a row and weapons stand in a row across. You're all going to be facing each other from a five feet distance."

White chompers as sharp as they come glinted knowingly.

"-Both sides must calm themselves, concentrate on wavelengths and souls. Follow the one that is most comfortable to you. The one that allures you. Once you feel close enough, you will find that your partner in front of you and will be so for the rest of the school year."

Sprawled across a bench away from the growing lines a certain brunette couldn't help the amusement leaking off his face.

"-Now line up and I will give the signal to move once everyone is stationed."

Carlin could not wait to see their reaction to his unorthodox form...! And with that he raised his hand to accentuate his purpose, "Excuse me Mr.Jester, but due to spurious circumstances the only one capable of properly wielding me is me," his hand would fall at statements end. No use going through that old mess again. He grasped it during the years and trained mindlessly because of it. He was a "defective" weapon that sounded cool, maybe looked even cooler, but in the end no meister short of his guardian could handle it. None could properly utilize the bear trap on a chain.

Audriella “Ella” Thompson and Lilibell “Bell” Thompson
“Come on Bell we are running so freaking late!!!” Audriella was currently dragging her twin sister Lilibell by her hand trying to make sure she kept up.

“We wouldn’t be running so late if you didn’t take your sweet time getting ready this morning! I even got you up ahead of time.”

“Well I am sorrrryyyyyyy I wanted to make sure I looked really good for my first day! I am assuming we could already have a bad reputation being old criminals and all.”

“Try not to think about it…” Bell's voice went quiet as they found themselves facing the beauty of the DWMA. “It’s so huge! I never imagined we would be here of all places.” Bell continued to look at the school as if it was some kind of heaven.

“Let’s go!” Ella spoke up as she began to jump for joy before both the girls went up the stairs.

SNAP!

As the girls reached the top of the steps, they would hear the loud cracking of a whip snapping in the air as a lady standing at the top of the steps glared at them through glasses with stern eyes. “Would you ladies care to explain why you’re even bothering to show up when you’re this late on your first day of orientation? Pretending to be sick might’ve been a better option.” Her tone of voice was entirely flat and there was absolutely no way she was joking in the slightest.

“Eeeeeekkkkk!!! Scary lady incoming.” Ella was the first to be struck by fear with her tone of voice. However, her twin on the other hand, didn’t seem as intimidated.

“It was my sister who decided to take her time to get ready. Listen, we’re sorry okay? If you want to send us home go for it.” Bell crossed her arms as she looked away.

“No! Please don’t send us home lady! I promise it won’t happen again!! We seriously need this. We both are reliable and great weapons. Promise!” Ella nervously chuckled.

“Laughter doesn’t exactly seem appropriate given your situation,” Ksenia commented. “Unfortunately, I cannot turn you away. If you were invited to orientation today, then there’s a reason for it and only Lady Death can undo those decisions. Consider yourselves lucky it isn’t up to me.” The teacher paused briefly to look the two girls over more closely. Though she could tell they were sisters, she could also tell that they couldn’t be more different if they wanted to. She wondered what would’ve caused such a thing. Xavian would’ve been able to figure it out had he been there, but it was just Ksenia at the moment.

“Follow me. You’ll have to ask someone for a tour at a later time because you’ve missed that part and for me to give you one now would only make it harder to catch up with what the students are currently working on.” Ksenia explained more as she started leading them into the DWMA and through weaving hallways towards the gymnasium area. The girls would quickly learn when they walked in that it was more of an arena than a gym, though.

Audriella couldn’t help but be absolutely amazed by what little she could see on her way to the gym. When she saw the other students she couldn’t resist to wave knowing that some or maybe even all of them wouldn’t notice her, she was waving quite obnoxiously though. “Isn’t this great sis?! We finally get a chance at a new life to live!”

Like her sister, Lilibell took in all she could while following the lady that brought them into the school. When she noticed the arena she couldn’t help but give a smirk knowing there was a chance she could battle already on the first day. Her little bit of twisted thought came to a pause when she heard her sister speak. “Oh yeah...It’ll be nice. Also, did you have to wave like that? You're creating a scene.”

“Well duh! We gotta make new friends don’t we?” Audriella chuckled as she continued to happily bounce around and wave to all the new students that she couldn’t wait to meet.

Lilibell made another comment while cringing as her sister continued to draw attention toward them. “I don’t need friends. I have you don’t I?”

“Oh yeah...But still!! Lighten up won’t you? This is our new beginning.” Audriella finally stopped her waving, noticing that she was driving her sister insane.

Ksenia completely ignored all the students who were starting to line up following CJ’s orders and instead brought the twins directly to the death scythe who was apparently in charge. “Good to see you again, CJ. The only two stragglers I was able to grab were these two young ladies. What would you like me to have them do?”

DWMA GYMNASIUMIMG_4319.jpegAfter his introduction, Marcus figured that at least one person would've made the connection relating to his last name, but then again he didn't really care. The name was just a name to him, but I was the man behind the name that meant everything. Marcus will exceed his ancestor's shadow and become a better man behind the name Rung. Marcus smiled as the blonde beside him was excited of him joining her squad. She was obviously the cheerful type, and most likely extremely friendly as well. Maybe if he befriended her Marcus would learn how to be cheerful yet again. He glanced over towards the white haired soul stepping up next to him. By the looks of his soul, he was most definitely a weapon and a very interesting one at that. Marcus could read that he was very rash and chaotic but also troubled, not that's not the term. He was more defensive as if he didn't want to get too close to anyone. He couldn't help but laugh at his comments referring to both Alice and kicking others asses. Looks like Marcus looked past the part where Elgin was definitely a overconfident flirt. Marcus was far from surprised when the blonde retaliated and basically declared war upon the weapon. "hehe looks like you need to work on you flirting skills a bit more my friend." Marcus said with a chuckle. "You definitely digged yourself into a hole with that one." He says, before realizing someone was calling out to him.

Looking over his shoulder, Marcus notices his big new friend Bill offering him a popsicle. His mouth curved into a smile as he stared at Bill obviously struggling with the decision to share or not. He really wanted to popsicle, so who was Marcus to take it away from him. He was kind enough to offer and that's what really matter to Marcus. "Thanks Bill, but I'm alright. I had a big lunch before I came over here. You can go ahead and eat the popsicle. And don't worry about the ice cream from before, we're even. Are you excited about the game??'" He asked. As he waited and listened for his reply, a new soul entered the gym. So far Marcus didn't notice him, not until he spoke up. It was another weapon, but this weapon was a member of the new formed Star clan. What was the odds a Star clan member would actually be here. So far that's two descendants all under one roof. He looked around trying to guess who else here might be a descendant of someone great within DWMA's history. "Hey Bill if you need me, I'll be over here on the bleachers listening to music. I feel like it'll be awhile before things actually start." He says shaking his head as he grabbed his headphones placing them on his head. He walks over towards the blenches, sitting down facing the others. He started to slouched down, leaning onto the sit behind him. He presses play, and leans his head back noticing someone standing at the top looking as if he's about to make an announcement. This should be good. Marcus thought to himself as he took his headphones off to listen what the weapon had to say.

Immediately Marcus regrets his decision as the weapon fires off a gun shot into the ceiling. "The hell is wrong with that dude?" Marcus questions as he sits up, moving away from him. He face slowly turned into a frown as he glared at the weapon before him. Obviously he wanted to gain everyone's attention and with that stupid stunt he did, however some were more angrier than most...Marcus included. He simply wanted to kick back and relax before the game, but no. He now has to deal with he narcissist before him, who willingly placed a giant target on his back. Marcus hoped he wasn't on his team. If Marcus wasn't already fired up for this game, then Kasper's outburst definitely did it. He was moment's away from sitting down again in attempt to cool off before CJ, the Death Scythe, spoke up. It was time for the Meister's and weapon's to find their proper partner, and then the game of Capture the Flag would begin. Marcus sat on the bleachers and scanned the room looking for his potential partner. The process in order for us to find them, isn't so unorthodox. We're basically relying on our wavelengths to guide us instead of our sight or emotions. I guess there's really no point for me to try and guess ahead because even then I might be wrong. He thought to himself. "Hey Bill what's the odd's we actually link up and become a team?" He says with a grin lining up with the misters. He peered over next to him realizing he was standing next to the blonde yet again. And this time she was yelling towards Kasper. Apparently he even manage to anger the this lovely cheerful soul.

Sebastian Yumi
‘Whew,’ echoed through Sebastian’s mind as Arma actually caught him. Clattering onto the ground wouldn’t have been the worst thing imaginable, but it would’ve challenged Sebastian’s decision on his choice of meister for sure. After all, he didn’t want a meister that not only wanted to use him to whack things, but also couldn't catch. That was just bound to be a disaster and it would end up being far too much work to deal with. Sebastian wasn’t in the business of making his life any harder than it had to be; school at the DWMA already sounded pretty hard so he needed a partner who didn’t add too much more stress. That was already questionable with Arma.

As Arma started messing around with his weapon form, Sebastian couldn’t help but wonder if all the spinning was what he’d meant when he mentioned motion sickness. If that was the case, then the demon weapon knew he would be fine. He’d never heard of a meister in the world who didn’t twirl their weapon around excessively at times - with the exception of situations where the weapon wasn’t twirlable. It happened sometimes, like with his ancestor Azusa. He didn’t think her crossbow form had really been all that fitting to spin around a whole lot. That didn’t prevent her from becoming a historical name, though.

“When you pull back the string, I’ll create the arrow. It’s formed from your own soul’s wavelength… well, unless we’re resonating. In that case, it’s like a weird melded thing of both of our souls’ wavelengths.” At least, that was Sebastian’s current understanding of the situation.

Confident that Arma wasn’t about to throw him or smash him into anything in the immediate future, Sebastian let his attention wander as Arma caused more chaos… or resolved chaos. Sebastian wasn’t quite sure which it was at any given moment. He did catch the death scythe’s announcement, though, and a sigh reverberated through his bowstring.

“Mr. Death Scythe, I’ve already got my partner. We’re good here. No weird soul sensing things needed for us.” Sebastian was never sure how loud his voice actually was when he was in weapon form, but he hoped CJ heard him or that Arma would back him up if needed. It wasn’t that he couldn’t transform back and get in a line, but in all honesty, Sebastian didn’t want to. For the time being, he wanted to be lazy in weapon form. There was something relaxing about it.

Xavian Shilder
Though he still didn’t quite understand what had happened to bring the student almost to the floor in the first place, he was glad when she started coming back to some sort of awareness of the environment around her and when she started to respond. He was, however, taken more back than he would’ve expected himself to be when she proceeded to start absolutely screaming at some of the students.

After blinking briefly, though, Xavian was able to chuckle at the situation. “You’ll be seeing more destruction than that before your time here is over with,” he commented. “Lady Death always addresses it with the students who cause trouble, but it always happens again, as well. It kinda comes with the territory even though it really shouldn’t. It gets better as they mature and they mature as they see things unfold that aren’t the most pleasant.”

Standing up completely once more, he allowed himself to return his attention to the remainder of the group once more. It seemed CJ had students preparing to partner up which was all fine and dandy except that Xavian had seen a few already making those decisions for themselves. He hoped that people who’d planned to be together wouldn’t be disappointed when they found who their souls drew them towards.

He was also quick to notice when his partner entered the room with two further students and his eyes fell to them with curiosity. Twins were apparent right away. Their souls were different, though, as much as they were the same. One of them had a soul that almost looked… fractured? It would be interesting to see how their journey would unfold.

Kane had just learned the name of the quiet girl that had walked up and complimented him, Koira Farech. An interesting girl to say the least, even among all the... Uniqueness that this group of students seems ooze out in a near visible wave. Before he could respond to her statements, things quickly got hectic with a large fellow that seemed on the verge of death one moment rising at a speed that belied his stature and stealing the ice cream of another newcomer. In the face of such speed Kane instinctively used his Soul Perception to take a look at the large student and couldn't help but tilt his head a the feeling of... Desire? Hunger? He restrained a hum and made a mental note to up his training some more, as it was obvious it was slacking. What really caught his attention, though, was the large purple soul belonging to the victim of theft, equaling in size to the two large suns beforehand. Now, he wasn't nearly as knowledgeable as he would like to be, but even he knew this was somewhere between "unique" and "unprecedented". Still, before he could put too much thought into the matter, the instructors called them over to begin the tour and Kane could only just shrug to himself and promise to deal with it as everything unfolded.

As for the tour itself, Kane thought that the cafeteria was spacious enough and he himself didn't really care what he ate as long as it was nutritious, and the classrooms just seemed like lecture halls, so nothing special there either. The Dojo, however, caught his attention and he knew that he'd be spending an inordinate amount of time improving himself in there. Eventually their teacher/guide lead them to a large gymnasium where there was already another large group of students equal in size to the group they just arrived in. Kane assumed that this happened to be the missing half of the class who had arrived slightly earlier than they had. As his group began to disperse and intermingle with the others, Kane silently walked to stand off to the side, not too far from a pair of... Siblings maybe? They certainly shared some similarities, so it wasn't too far out of the realm of possibility. Either way, he was only standing here because it gave him a better view of the group and it was "quieter".

The first thing that finally went through his head as he gazed around was that their instructor introduced the other teacher as one of the Academy's Death Scythes, which meant this CJ was far beyond their league it wasn't even funny, and that the usual orientation of trying to fight him was most likely just an excuse for the students to get some humility and reality kicked into them. He wouldn't say it aloud, but Kane was slightly disappointed when Xavien suggested capture the flag instead, but quickly shook it off. Then, as everyone started to interact with one another, Kane took the time to once again pass his Soul Perception over the new group, and immediately he could tell that they were just as interesting as the group that he came in with. A good example would be the strong looking fellow with the multicolor soul that had bashed his skull into a wall to "wake himself up". An unorthodox tactic to achieve a clear state of mind, that's for sure, but he seemed happy with the results, so who was he to judge. He absently noted that Koira had walked over and healed him, an ability to make note of for sure. His gaze fell on an excitable lad with a yellow soul seemingly endless cheer from what he could see, and Kane could almost feel his own energy draining in response.

Tearing his eyes away from the living Energizer bunny, Kane found his eyes locking onto a pulsating, seemingly living red soul belonging to a fellow who just seemed... Wrong would be the incorrect word, he seemed conflicted and contradictory. Kane himself couldn't help a small frown forming on his face, which he quickly wiped away, as his eyes stayed locked onto the fellow. Because of his sudden focus on the strange red-souled boy, Kane's gaze also landed on the magenta-souled girl he was talking to. As he watched the two interact he could feel his interest in the two simultaneously peek and wane at the same time, and just as he was going to continue sweeping his gaze across the room, he found that the girl started making her way towards the two siblings, while the contradictory boy made a grandiose, ironically fitting with the feeling of his soul, proclamation. The frown that was once removed threatened to make its way back onto Kane's face so, seeing the potential headache that would come from continuing to try and piece together the puzzle that was that strange boy, Kane crossed his arms and closed his eyes. To anyone taking a passing glance, it would seem like he was bored or disinterested in everything going around him, but a closer look at him and his soul would reveal the truth. In reality, Kane had begun focusing on the feeling of his own soul and wavelength in a meditative manner to calm and center himself, readying himself for the inevitable rollercoaster that will be this game of Capture the Flag.

Post Collaborated with CelticHero37 CelticHero37

To Brennan’s relief, no one had really heard Niamh’s remark and so they still had a chance to make a good impression. It seemed the teacher’s that were supposed to be running things were sort of flying by the seat of their pants as there was an apparent lack of structure or discipline that was going on currently. One would already be able to see the wheels in Brennan’s head turning to find a way to help facilitate things for the teachers. That’s just the sort of guy he was. To him, there was a time for partying and having fun, and then there was a time to take things seriously. That didn’t mean learning at the DWMA couldn’t be fun, but the first priority was to learn and improve as a weapon. After all, they were EAT class, not NOT class.

Niamh, on the other hand, had just started to snicker watching things starting to come apart at the seams. Both her and her brother were caught somewhat off guard, though, as someone came up to talk to them. A light seemed to come on in Niamh’s head and she was the first to respond, “Dia dhuit! Cad é mar atá tú? Ní cúpla muid. An bhfuil...”

Before she could say anything else, Brennan interrupted and said, “No, we’re not twins, just siblings. Don’t mind her.” He pinched Niamh’s arm and she shot him a glare.

“Hmm. Interesting. Did you grow up knowing you were both weapons?” Kyleigha asked curiously. She couldn’t imagine the process of growing up as someone who wanted to serve Lady Death with a sibling who could do the same. With her own sisters, she had always been different from them, and that had been crucial to her growing up the way she did.

“I’m Kye, by the way,” she added, realizing that failing to introduce herself was kinda disrespectful.

Niamh had started to say something that was in Irish again, but Brennan interrupted her immediately, “N-no, at least I didn’t know right away. She actually knew before I did, and I’m older than her. My name’s Brennan and she’s Niamh.” Niamh turned to the side and crossed her arms defiantly.

Kyleigha turned to address Niamh directly. “Do you speak english?” It wasn’t meant to be a rude question in the slightest although her tone was a bit sharp. Rather, if there was someone she couldn’t communicate with, she wanted to know about it sooner rather than later.

Brennan visibly winced as he heard this, and Niamh’s attention snapped back to Kye as she started to turn red in the face. A fist came up almost immediately as if she were going to punch Kye in the face, but it was intercepted by Brennan, who had caught her arm. “Yes, she can speak English just fine. I don’t think you’d find a single person from Ireland that can’t.”

“How ‘bout you learn to speak Irish instead!” snapped Niamh.

“No thanks. I’m good. After all, knowing Irish wouldn’t serve me very well here in Nevada if I’m going to be efficiently doing my job,” Kyleigha responded rather bluntly, but with a polite undertone. “Anyway, it was nice talking with you, however briefly. I don’t know if you heard, but CJ’s asked us to line up in lines of weapons and meisters so I’m going to go get into my line. The weapon line seems to be forming right there for you two to get in,” she gestured to the weapon line after assuming that they couldn’t see souls because most weapons couldn’t. And they hadn’t really talked to anyone else present, so they wouldn’t necessarily know who were weapons so they could just follow along. “Good luck!”

With that, Kyleigha walked away, heading towards the line of meisters already forming. She casually flipped off Kasper on her way there after seeing his tongue pointing in her general direction.

“Thank you,” responded Brennan, but he almost immediately had to latch on to Niamh so she wouldn’t go assaulting another student. While fighting to get free, she yelled after the girl, “A bhastaird! Feisigh leat! Ná smaoinigh fuíoll feisithe a dhéaneamh díomsa! Chacsmuitín! Tá tú chomh haineolach le cúl magaralach! Teigh dti Diabhail.”

“Niamh! You’re not doing us any good like that,” scolded Brennan.

“Oh what do you know,” she jibed, seemingly calmed down after that outburst.

“Let’s just line up, okay?”

“Fine.”

Kasper hadn't responded to Alice's remarks after his proclamations, brushing it aside as someone whom had failed to see his underlying point and motives. Half of what she had said was the reason for his antics, the reason that he felt the need to get everyone else to start taking this more seriously than they had been. "If you think it's a game, then you're wrong. This is an exercise that tests various skills like strategy, working together, and seeing if we can get the objective." This was precisely why he had called Elyn out on his speech, the mere fact that his strategy was to tell the whole room his weapon form and planned tactics was hardly beneficial in a real world application. Sure, that information was vital among a confirmed group of allies, but if half the room were on the verge of becoming your opponents, then surely it was a foolhardy thing to do to show your hand, much less detrimental to the growth of others. Without experiencing shock, surprise and adversity in mock combat, how else would you be able to adapt and survive when life throws you a curve ball. The enemy isn't just going to sit back and tell you about themselves. In her attempt to lament him, she had basically just reiterated his point.

It was only when the class had begun to split between Meisters and Weapons that Alice had managed to coerce Kasper's attention in full and whether it was intentional or not, she had been rather poor in her choice of words.

"I beg your pardon" spat Kasper as the blonde haired meister spoke up, her words irritating him the moment they had escaped her mouth. "Did I hear you correctly?" the attitude that she had shown and the disregard towards weapons was a step too far. "A weapon should be happy he's getting a Meister. Should be happy in this very moment" Was she flipping serious? Of all the things she could have said. Kasper's ego and narcissism aside, this was on a whole other level of self-importance, her audacity to even imply that Meisters were more important than weapons and that they had to be happy just because someone would wield them was beyond belief. The nerve of this girl.

Stepping out of line and towards her, Kasper had lost any hint of his pretentious charade and was now holding back a growing anger; though unlike some in the class he didn't let it lash out only to look foolish and he for sure would not regret a damn thing he was about to say.

"Darling, lets get one thing straight, We may be Demon weapons. But we are not simple tools" he began, tone relatively controlled. Like a tumultuous storm, his soul had begun to swirl in an ever growing tempest, ready to be unleashed upon those that had managed to tick him off, though unlike it had been for a few others whose emotions got control over them, Kasper still held onto the reigns, keeping that anger bottled inside and merely expressing his distaste for Alice's statement with a deadpan glare. "Do not think for a second that just because you are a Meister, that we should be at your beck and call and that we should prostrate ourselves before you.If anything you Meisters should be happy that we would even allow you to put your hands on us, let alone put our trust in you. Especially when you refer to us so callously. What exactly have you done that would get a single one of us to feel happy that you are a Meister?. I for one could not fathom letting you wield me, not with that kind of cheap respect for Demon Weapons. I may have made enemies, but if any weapon here has any pride in themselves, than you have done far worse" Kasper turned around, not really interested in hearing what else she had to say. Regardless of how she may have really felt, the fact that she had been so blunt and disregarding in her statement only seemed to betray the fact that somewhere deep inside she felt Meisters were above demon weapons. If that was the kind of attitude that she had towards Demon Weapons, then even he with his crude rough around the edges personality did not fancy associating with her.

Clicking his tongue, Kasper returned to the spot he had previously occupied. His attention torn away as one of the boys from his group; the boyish looking fella claimed that only he could wield himself. An interesting lad and one who could become a very fitting distraction from Alice.

"Thanks Bill, but I'm alright. I had a big lunch before I came over here. You can go ahead and eat the popsicle. And don't worry about the ice cream from before, we're even."

Bill's eyes widened in child like happiness as Marcus turned down the Popsicle; Big Bill jumping in eagerness as he tossed the icicle treat skyward, only for the icicle pop to disappear into Bill's open maw before Marcus had even finished his sentence. The icy cold orange flavoured delicacy surprisingly pairing well with the chunk of meat he held in his other hand, the contrast between hot and cold tickling his insides as he continued to scarf down the food, unperturbed by everything else around him. Eating was truly blissful, who could ever feel anything but happiness as they chowed down on delicious yum yums.

"Are you excited about the game??'"

"Hmm.." mumbled Bill, swallowing his latest bite and putting a finger to his lip to both wipe away any food that had managed to escape him as well as to ponder Marcus's question. "N.. not really." If the game was instead 'Capture the Food', well. Bill could handle that by himself, no questions asked. That was fact. Nobody could stand between him and food. Capture the flag didn't seem like such an appetising idea to Big Bill, the hassle of having to over exert himself more than needed not really an appealing thought. His weapon form for all intense and purposes was literally 'dead-weight'. A weapon form originating from a tool designed to weigh down ships and cruise liners for the sheer purpose of stopping them from drifting off. It wasn't exactly catered towards much of anything else and judging by everyone in the room, it didn't seem like a lot of them had the strength to actually use him efficiently, much less be big enough to use him, his eyes falling upon several students whose short stature made it hard to imagine them actually carrying him. The last thing he wanted to do was crush another student because they couldn't use his Anchored form. Really, only one person seemed to look capable of wielding him properly, his tall muscular frame the complete opposite to Bills tall bulbous frame. Perhaps he was a Meister?

As Marcus left, Bill waved his goodbye and hurried over towards one of the walls where he proceeded to sit down, his bag pack placed in front of him between his legs as he began to do a quick stock take on his little bag of treasures, a wide variety of snack treats being pulled out one after another and place to one side; a few disappearing with only their wrappers being left behind. It was here that he made his own 'gun shot' the loud popping of a crisp packet exploding in his hand as Kasper's gunshot startled him and his grip tightened in sheer reaction to the fright. A mortified ghost white expression had spread across his face as the crisp littered the gymnasium floor, their lives extinguished as the 5 second rule 'timed-out'. Murder had been committed and it was that man's fault, though Bill was hardly an aggressor. While others may have appeared to be nonchalant or angry about his showboating, BIll was instead in a state of mourning, his hands opening another crisp packet as he silently laid to rest the wasted food. Swearing vengeance against Kasper, though only if they faced each other in combat. He wouldn't out right confront the guy about it. It wasn't in his nature.

Funeral held and wasted food discarded into the nearby bin, Bill began to make his way towards the growing line of demon weapons as per Cj's instructions; silent sniffles wiped away on his shirt sleeve as he stood towards the back, knowing full well that his size would obscure others if he stood at the front. There was a clear size and height disparity between himself and most of the others and Bill had to wonder, would any of them want to partner with him?

"Hey Bill what's the odd's we actually link up and become a team?"

Bill turned to face Marcus standing in the other line, a short wave from Bills right hand signalling that he had heard him.Marcus's question had quashed any lingering doubts within Bill, his words inspiring a growing confidence inside. Everything was going to work out. . "That would be amazing" shouted Bill, turning to face him in full, though as did so he felt something pressed against his stomach.

Alice stood her ground, regardless of how tall this guy was. Though, what he started to spew out made her really angry. See the weapons as tools? Hell no! She saw them as friends, family even! Despite little time that she's known them. However, Kaspar was not family if he was going to treat her like garbage just because she said something -that probably came out wrong- about Weapons and Meisters. "If you think that I think you guys are tools, you're wrong!" she shouted as he began to walk away "I dont think I'm above anyone in this room, in fact I feel like I'm the lowest. Sometimes I feel like I didnt deserve such a chance like this!" her hands clenched into fists "Come on, Alice... You know you want to fight him~ Let me help you~ You know we can win if we work together~" said a sing-song voice in her head. Madness was creeping up, and definitely trying to get its way. But Alice wouldnt let it, it was a secret that only specific people needed to know. "Demon Weapons are the best things that could have ever happened in this world. I hold them with more respect than anything else. I look up to them just as I always had!" "Alliiceeee.... Come on~ Let me play! I want to play with this so-called 'tool' that he calls the weapons!"

Ignoring it's words were the easiest things she could do. No, I wont let you control me, not this time. Though for the past few days, Madness in her has gotten relentless and needed her Pops to do his weekly test with her to help... "My point was is that you appreciate what is in front of you, and appreciate the time you have! Some people dont always have that luxury! If you keep treating your classmates horribly, one day you may actually feel for them if they pass away and regret your choices!" she hadnt had that experience, instead just constant beatings, yelling, screaming, crying... Though it surely felt like someone died with all the crying Alice used to do. She strayed off her line, holding in everything that wanted to explode, even the madness waiting to be let out and walked toward him with no fear. He was a weapon, but she wasnt scared. There was only room for the fear of the madness resided within her. Once she was close enough, she grabbed his shoulder and forced him to turn around, getting close to his face as possible with a glare so cold that it could kill a man. "Dont you ever, ever, think I am as low as to put myself above the Weapons. I may have Pride and Ego, but that's not where it's at. I will treat everyone in this damn room like family. They already mean so much to me in so little time. I appreciate to have them around me." despite her condition that only Koira knew of and a few Teachers.

"Also, dont call me 'Darling'. I have a name, and it's Alice Drake." a name she takes pride in, despite being abandoned. "Just know, I will not allow you to talk down on people who are going to be with you for the rest of the school year. I still stand up for them, Meister or WEAPON. Because that's what friends do. I may word things wrong, but I know where I stand." she then backed up from him and turned away, walking back to her spot in the line beside Marcus and Kat, adrenaline running through her hands before she clenched them into fists again to try to stop the shaking. "Awww! I wanted to plaaaayy! And you just had to ruin the fun!" this voice was getting annoying, but now that she was able to focus a little more, she could block out the voice till the time being till she got home and told her Pops everything that happened today. Madness was not going to win today no matter what.

Koira Farech

Usually Koira did not like getting into other peoples business but it wasn’t as if this was some private spectacle, it was literally happening right in front of everybody’s eyes. Unlike Marcus who had the ability to lose himself in his music, those headphones of his probably a godsend right now, she however did not adorn a pair. Might have to get a pair just to bring to school tomorrow… Her gaze was locked off to the side as if trying to remain uninterested or uninvolved but the longer it went on, the more irritation she felt growing. It was like a nagging ache that was intensifying with each word that fell from Kasper and Alice’s mouths. With a defeated sigh she shot the teachers an apologetic look as she stepped forward and sauntered over towards Alice, slipping right past her and turning quickly so that she was now positioned behind her. Both arms came to slide past her shoulders like a cloak that would wrap snugly around them, pulling her close against her lithe frame protectively.

She didn’t offer any verbal communication to explain her actions, instead she stared at Kasper with her heterochromia hues intently, gaze remaining resolute. There was no anger settled there, just the vibe that he should probably quit while he was ahead. His shenanigans were not going to so easily get a reaction out of her which would probably make her more of a target but she wasn’t afraid to step up to his game if it was required. Right now she just wanted to comfort Alice and put a stop to what she knew it could evolve into if the girl was further pushed. His previous words that he had spoken to her slid into the front of her mind as a fleeting thought. But you already are… She tilted her head as strands of hair slid past Alice’s shoulders to drape there idly, a rather enigmatic smile tugging at her lips towards Kasper appearing on her face.

That cryptic smile disappeared as she addressed CJ, attention now completely diverted. “ CJ, sir, I've decided that Alice is my partner. Can I remain here or do I need to step back on the weapon side of the line? “ She peered at the teacher with a look of certain conviction, frame now pulling away from Alice’s as she carefully positioned herself between Kasper’s line of vision to block her out. Koira skillfully reached up to throw her hair into a tight bun that resembled a peppermint as the colors swirled together in a way that was oddly appealing to the eye for some. Others may find the blending of the two in such a way to go against an OCD tendency they might have but to her it was aesthetically pleasing. “ Unless she chooses to reject me, that is. “ Koira spoke once again, confident, but knowing full well that Alice did have the option to say she didn’t accept Koira wanting to be her partner.

Kyleigha Ford
Although CJ’s explanation made it seem as though everyone was supposed to wait for everyone to line up before doing the whole meditation process thing to find their partner, Kyleigha decided it best to get started right away. She knew her own wavelength was certainly a little rough at the moment because a small part of her wanted to turn around and get a precise translation of just how much Niamh had been insulting her in Irish. Luckily, though, she was more interested in finally starting to be a meister than she was in getting into an actual fight with someone who didn’t even seem to care enough about the whole process to even try and address a potential meister partner.

Meditation wasn’t something Kyleigha was unfamiliar with in the slightest, either. It was a process she went through quite frequently back when she’d still been trying to unlock any magical abilities dormant within her… back when she still valued the witch blood in her veins more greatly than the meister blood she also carried.

She started by closing her eyes and focusing on her own soul’s wavelength. It had a steady thrum to it and the more she focused, the more consistent it’s rhythm became. Though there was noise in the background from everyone else in the room, it didn’t bother her. It probably helped that her sisters had been very loud when she’d been learning to meditate in her youth; she was used to all the noise and static and it actually helped her focus now.

Without physically moving herself, Kyleigha sent out her soul senses in search of a soul that matched the rhythm she kept repeating in her mind’s eye. It wasn’t necessarily an easy task for her, but it was possible and she went down the line of souls that had started to line up. Some of them got close to similar to her rhythm and she knew that she would be capable of wielding them as weapons, but they weren’t perfect matches so she kept moving down the line for something that was closer, something that matched more than the others. Likely, it would be something that stood out quite significantly. At least, that’s what she was expecting. What she didn’t expect was to encounter a wavelength consumed with a hurricane of emotions.

‘What the heck!?’ Surprise overwhelmed her first.

Then came familiarity.

‘Fuck me.’

Even in the massive turmoil that was consuming this soul, Kyleigha recognized the rhythm it maintained. It was very nearly her own. Her eyes blinked open and she knew exactly who her eyes were going to fall on, too. Kasper. There was another girl there, too, who Kyleigha didn't know the name of, but it looked as though she was walking away at the moment. Given what Kye knew of Kasper, though, there was always a chance she could get pulled back by his jerkish ways.

Rage enveloped her soul as she remembered how he’d gone and made an idiot of himself by doing his whole stunt on the bleachers. Likely, he was continuing to make an idiot of himself now in whatever conversation he was having. Oddly enough, her own rage was what made their souls different; the rhythm shifted and no longer quite matched - it was still closer than anyone else in the room, though. Stomping over to where he continued to make a fool out of them both now, Kyleigha shouted, “Kasper, you idiot! In case you haven’t noticed by now, our wavelengths match. And if you don’t know what that means, I do. We’re partners now. Your soul is closest to mine and I can guarantee you right now that if you had any potential for matching with someone else, it’s gone now because you’re making yourself into even more of a jerk than I was. You may not want to be here, but I have a legacy to fulfill.”

She stopped herself, not wanting to go on and on and on forever. Kyleigha took a deep breath to bring herself back to center, and she could feel her wavelength and his, too. She was entirely aware of it now.

“In all the textbooks I’ve ever seen, there is a single quote that I always hoped I would find a partner who could fulfill it. One thousand years ago, Soul Evans spoke the words, ‘I am your weapon partner. That means I’m always prepared to die for my meister.’ I know now that having that hope that I could find a partner like that was far too much to expect, but I do hope that we can at least work together. I started off wrong. I know that now. But I don’t need you painting a bigger target on both of our backs.”

Her eyes opened perfectly as she turned off her soul perception, deciding she was certain of where she was standing. Kyleigha held out her hand again, reminiscent of when she’d first approached him. “Truce? Can we try to make it work as partners?”

Erik Muller
A brief interaction with the situation in general

Erik stood where he was for a moment, ruminating on things. The slow cogs turned even slower what with all the loud noise in the background. Admittedly, he was never really good at pre-planning. Improvisation was more his style. Of course, as soon as he heard the words 'dent', 'structure' and 'head', he figured someone must be talking about him. Apparently the girl in the cloak was shouting, but it just melted away into the sea of noise to the point where he could barely pay attention to any of it, merely squinting his eyes and raising his brows as if to see that would help him figure things out, though this was to no avail. Just some crashing waves in the tempest of it all, naught but sound and fury amongst the decadence of noise and ego. It was like trying to pay attention to static on the television, though it would be a lie to say Erik was paying much attention at all, at this point, save for what instructions were made clear.

In the line-up of meisters, Erik chose a spot beside the girl in the cat hoodie. He appreciated her moxie, and her boldness made her more comfortable to stand next to compared to some others, especially some of the more unsavory types that seemed to fester amongst them all. He softly nudged Kat's shoulder with a gentle fist, grinning warmly.

"Hope we end up kicking ass on the same side of all this."

In the exercise of finding a weapon to partner with, he found himself rather lacking. He had always found himself rather indecisive when it came to these things. Favorites only existed to him nothing else at all was even remotely desirable. Concentrate on wavelengths and souls? Not exactly something that swayed him too much, but at least it was information he could use to help understand a person.

A deep breath. Relax. Let the waves roll softly. Gently. This current carries a single soul for now, but there will come a time when another washes up alongside it. Relax. Let the rain come down gently. The thunder rumble softly in the distance with only slight vibrations. Let the clouds clear, and man the crow's nest.

He suppose he could feel it more than see it. Gut instincts kicked to overdrive. There was the girl who touched his head earlier. No. She'd require more finesse than what he could offer. Someone more delicate than Erik. Actually it looked like she already decided anyway. He had to look at the physical situation first, it seemed. Who didn't appear to have a partner?

Hmmmmmm......mmmm....... Oh! Oh-hoh!

In nigh the blink of an eye, Erik's large hands were set upon the shoulders of a green-clad, particularly rotund fellow, nearly the same height as he. What magnificent size! What admirable largeness! What respectable girth!

"YOU! You are a kindred soul! I can see it even without any supernatural form of vision! With a love for the simple gifts in life! And a penchant for green hues! What say ye, lad? Let us set sail upon this world in the name of the conquest of tasteful pleasures! To be feared by buffets, and our names branded into the minds of even the bravest of cooks! To plunder and pillage as we please!"

"If you think that I think you guys are tools, you're wrong! I dont think I'm above anyone in this room, in fact I feel like I'm the lowest. Sometimes I feel like I didnt deserve such a chance like this!Demon Weapons are the best things that could have ever happened in this world. I hold them with more respect than anything else. I look up to them just as I always had!"

Alice's retorts were given the cold shoulder by Kasper as he walked away from her, his anger and disgust at what he interpreted to be the meaning behind her words causing him to dismiss any proclamations she had as just empty lies, rose coloured words spoken with the soul intention of 'cozying' up to the other party; if only to impose upon them with a selfish demand. Kasper saw this as nothing more than her attempt to repair any damages that may have arisen from this fiasco, to salvage some kind of opportunity to continue being a Meister, after all if the other weapons here had interpreted her words just as Kasper had did, then she'd have been in quite the predicament.

"My point was is that you appreciate what is in front of you, and appreciate the time you have! Some people dont always have that luxury! If you keep treating your classmates horribly, one day you may actually feel for them if they pass away and regret your choices!"

Kaspers brows furrowed as he clenched his teeth, this loud mouth blonde continuing to shout in his direction from where she stood in the meister line-up. A persistent one she was as she returned to the point she had made prior. Kasper clicking his tongue as she did. "Give it a rest" muttered Kasper under his breath, still keeping his gaze elsewhere. Though this frustration was evoked not from her persistence but rather her point about people passing away and him regretting his choices. What difference did it make if he was 'nice' to everyone else?, Would it really change anything? Why then was he still punished, the closest person to him taken away?.

Kasper began grinding his teeth. Being nice had done nothing to stop what had happened, being nice had not prevented the tragedy that had happened. Perhaps if they were more serious, things would have been different, perhaps if they didn't act all relaxed, she'd still be here. This girl was naive, innocent to the harsh reality that life really was. Being nice would bring nothing but even greater pain. Being nice would not prepare you for that moment when the fairy tale world you believed in was ripped away to reveal the world in all its ugliness.

At the rate she was going, Kasper would have eventually turned and slapped her right in the face. If only to get her to shut up. Alas, in all of god's irony she had been the one to instead be the more aggressive in her approach. Kasper not expecting it, had been pulled by his right shoulder; his body forcefully turned around as Alice stood before him, an icy soul piercing glare fixed upon her face as she became the one to invade his personal space. However it was something hidden behind those emerald eyes that had caused him to flinch, something unseen to everyone else in the room and its presence only noticed due to the close proximity of Kasper and Alice. Behind those green eyes, something else was staring at him. Kasper could only react on instinct as his body took a step back away from Alice, this sinister sensation coupled with the surprise of Alice actually coming up to him being too much for him to remain unfazed.

"Dont you ever, ever, think I am as low as to put myself above the Weapons. I may have Pride and Ego, but that's not where it's at. I will treat everyone in this damn room like family. They already mean so much to me in so little time. I appreciate to have them around me. Also, dont call me 'Darling'. I have a name, and it's Alice Drake." a name she takes pride in, despite being abandoned. "Just know, I will not allow you to talk down on people who are going to be with you for the rest of the school year. I still stand up for them, Meister or WEAPON. Because that's what friends do. I may word things wrong, but I know where I stand."

Kasper was on the precipice of arguing back, only to have his attempts put on hold as Koira approached; her dual coloured hair again catching his eye as she snaked around Alice and held her firmly from behind. It was only now that they were actually close to one another that Kasper noticed her eyes, one gray and the other turquoise in color. To say that he was mesmerised was an understatement though it was not the multi coloured hair or the hetero-chromatic eyes that had had the biggest impact. It was her smile. It was a smile that seemed to make time stop momentarily, a smile that at first glance seemed intent on dissuading the situation yet underneath sought to rise to the challenge should Kasper continue on this path. Of course, Kasper was not one to shy away from something potentially entertaining and for the sake of satiating his curiosity he would stir this sleeping giant. It was during this brief moment where he was seemingly stunned that Koira had offered to be Alice's weapon and whether this was genuine or a spit in the face after what Kasper had said earlier, he could not tell. Regardless, it felt like a challenge. A challenge that he intended to accept.

If only fortune shown upon him. Alas rather then being given the chance to open Pandora's box, he was instead gifted with the sound of another voice being directed towards him, "Kasper, you idiot!" again Kasper's brows furrowed and he turned to face the source of the insult, Kye quickly storming her way over here, reasons unknown but clearly she was pissed.

"in case you haven’t noticed by now, our wavelengths match.

Kasper was taken aback by her sudden claim and one sided decision to announce that they were partners. This surprising revelation causing him to falter as he failed to issue a retort towards the insult she had just thrown at him. What was worse was that despite proclaiming them to be partners, she had done it in a way that basically ridiculed him in front of everyone else. "H. Hang on a minute" sputtered Kasper, not entirely sure how to respond at this moment. "I..I don't remember agr..." Kasper bit his tongue as he stopped and examined the other meisters in the room. None of which seemed to stir anything in him, much less show any hint of wanting to partner up.

Truthfully, it was only really Kye whom he had managed to have a somewhat decent conversation with, the only person he had managed to agree with and the only one who seemed to question the seriousness of the place, like he had done.. Unlike the others whom Kasper had observed, she was the only one who seemed to have a realistic view of the place, at least in his opinion. Though he hadn't a clue as to what she meant about having a legacy needing to be fulfilled. All that aside the reality of the situation was that standing in front of him was someone ready to take a leap of faith, to put their trust in someone like himself even after his shenanigans . It wasn't because she knew what kind of weapon he was and it wasn't because he had put on the facade of appearances just to be liked by others. No, she had witnessed his crude persona and she still chose him.

Did he really have any justifiable reason not to accept her outstretched hand? To push away someone who was willing to still accept him despite his flaws?

Taking a deep breath, Kasper again addressed his soul; searching for any lingering doubts that he may have had about having a new Meister, only to smirk when he found his soul somewhat at ease, as if the void that had been taken from him was slowly being re-filled. There could be no other Meister in the academy more fitting than the one standing in front of him. "You better be prepared. I don't want to hear any regrets" smirked Kasper, reaching out for her right hand and slowly raising it to his lips as he went down to one knee and leaned forward. A red glow appearing to radiate off of his body as he disappeared into thin air.

Straddling her finger, an obsidian colored ring had appeared; the crimson red ruby that lined in center glistening against the gyms lights. [/I]

Elgin Cutlass

Of course Elgin expected the words that came out of Alice's mouth. In fact he burst out in laughter, as if wanting that kind of reaction. "Hey don't get so up tight! Just teasin' ya!" He continued laughing to himself. Utterly oblivious to the surrounding madness taking place. At least until he felt the most murderous gaze he's ever felt in his life. His face was still in the laughing position but it was skewed in fear. As if paralysed by Koira's ice cold stare. He toned it down a bit of course. Yeah he wanted to have fun but he sure as hell ain't gonna get himself killed over it. "Geeez... Some people really take things way too seriously... " He spoke out, albeit quietly so as to not attract anymore attention from the girl. One more thing that grabbed his attention though was the hooded girl in the distance, hollering at the guys that seemed to be wrecking the place. The headbutting guy he knew about but the one shooting the ceiling he musta missed while he was laughing. He wasn't gonna lie, that girl didn't look like she messed around. Just straight to the point. A trait that he both respected and liked. But that wasn't the only thing. The more he looked at her the more he could feel... Something? He couldn't quite tell what it was but it made her stand out from everyone else. Wait... Is this the so called wavelength connection the instructors were blabbing on about? He would have to talk to her eventually and confirm this... As if right on queue CJ started gesturing everyone to get into line, separating the Meisters from the weapons. Looking at each other from each side. "Oh so THIS is how it's gonna be done huh. Alright I'll bite." He said briefly, obediently moving into position with the others. Doing as CJ instructed.

Elgin closed his eyes and tried his best to feel a connection. He took his time too, making sure he was really getting a good feel for everyone's wavelength. There was many wavelengths to be sure but only ONE truly stood out. It was practically calling to him. Elgin opened his eyes and found out he was staring right at the hooded girl. "I knew it..." Elgin raised his hand and pointed right to her. "You! Girl with the hood. I ain't gonna sugar coat this for ya. But you might be stuck with me for the rest of the year!" Elgin spoke with his sly grin. "Don't say you don't feel it too. Our wavelengths connect right? In that case I'm your weapon and you're my Meister!" He proclaimed out loud. Loud enough for the whole class to hear assuming they're listening. He might have been putting on a confident face at first but on the inside he was ecstatic. He's the weapon of a bad-ass hot chick! Just like he knew would happen! Well... Hot was still debatable. After all he couldn't see her face. As to why she's hiding her face he couldn't say. Maybe she was shy? Not that he was complaining! Shy girls are super cute! Or... Maybe she's being chased by some real bad people... That would just be COOL! Little did he know he started to make a weird face while he was deep in thought. The type of face that might give people the wrong idea...

Alice had snapped from her thoughts as she felt arms wrap around her shoulders, giving her comfort during this situation. Her body was pulled close to the other person's frame and she blinked "Huh?" she said softly, turning her head slightly to see who was holding her. It turned out to be none other than Koira before she looked back ahead "Koira..." she said with a small smile upon her lips as she felt her soul began to calm. Her Madness suddenly being pushed away and out of sight for the Meister, it had also made her so calm in the process. Whatever this was, it was a wonderful feeling. Koi's hair fell past her shoulder, but she didnt mind. Her eyes shifted to Kasper as he was suddenly bombarded with a girl who came up to him and yelling at him about being a partner. She didnt let it phase her much as Koira's words did. CJ, sir, I've decided that Alice is my partner." those were her exact words that caused her eyes to widen in surprise and in shock. When Koi had pulled away, she felt the comfort vanish and watched as she moved in front of her, seemingly in a protective manner. I miss that hold... I felt like my Madness was going away... in a way, she wanted more. No one was able to push madness away like she had. But knowing herself... It was temporary, but as long as she was with her partner, Madness couldnt take over...right?

The meister watched Koira put her hair into a bun, which mixed her separate-colored hair very well. It was like a peppermint! Very cute. When she mentioned being rejected, she suddenly shook her head "No way! I would not reject you!" her soul had accepted Koira's without any rejections, which only made this situation more amazing "I would have felt it in my soul, if we were not compatible. The only thing I felt, was acceptance." she knew of the secret, maybe thats why she chose her, but on top of it all, it was up to the souls to see if they would match the same wavelength. Due to this, the blonde was ecstatic, excited, and relieved that someone actually came to her and asked to be her partner. The joy that welled up in her heart was enormous. Despite the argument with Kasper earlier, this removed any thoughts left on the situation. I couldnt ask for anything better... this is good news...wait till pops hears about this... He'd be just as happy about it as I am. He knew it was my biggest fear due to all my Madness. Now we wait for the others to pair up and then we can do Capture the Flag, which will make this all the more interesting.

"Koira," said Alice as she reached her hand out "Come on, let's see what you got." the smile on her face became larger as she looked at her newly founded partner. Now was the real test to see what Koira was made of and how the blonde could wield her. Alice was ready and was prepared for what was going to surprise her next.

Elyn Layne

Elyn felt Kat run off to join the line and his heart sank a little. It was a foolish worry. He was certain he could match with almost anyone. He'd never not matched before. He had a pretty good chance at an excellent partner. But I want to be partners with her. He blinked at the unbidden thought. Why? She was clearly green. She was a weirdo to boot. She's nice, and good, and happy. That's why you want her, you idiot. You want what she has. But is that truly so bad? No, no it isn't. Maybe he couldn't have that yet. But he could be near it. Protect it. Maybe it was a little selfish. But she wanted to partner with you anyways.

He pushed these thoughts from his mind approaching the weapon line, and closing his eyes. Meditating was something he could do. He squatted down, till he was sitting on his heels, tucking his knees inside his hoodie. He felt small, sure, but also secured. He pulled his headphones over his ears, which began to pipe in the sound of a babbling brook. Silence was no good. Elyn hated silence. It meant the fighting had stopped, and none of his comrades were breaking the silence. There would be the stench of blood and death. It would stick to his skin like a rash, sink deep into his clothes. No shower could cleanse it from him fully, and no amount of retribution he could dish out would ever be enough. No, he was far from there, in the mountains. A cabin by the river. Grandpa on the back porch with a pitcher of lemonade and iced tea. Sitting in the water and feeling it move, with purpose between his fingers and toes. He felt the grains of sand carried from far far away brush past him and he counted them. One, two, four, seven. He exhaled from his nose continuing to count. Twenty, forty, the numbers quickly rose. Everything but the the grains of sand faded away, until soon even they dissipated. He was perfectly serene.

Now, guided only by the feelings of his soul, he stood wandering down the line, eyes still closed. He had no doubts in his professors, and his attempt he would be earnest. He was no meister, but he could still feel within himself. He knew where she was. At least he did when he found her. He did not know how, but he did. If he was wrong he'd look a fool, but he probably looked like a fool anyways. Wherever he was. Wherever she was. He slowly reached out a hand.
