Fandom Soul Eater: A New Beginning

A woman in a straight jacket was waiting, impatiently at that, she seemed she might know the person he was looking for. Calvin stood, and approached her from behind, "Excuse me miss, do you know anyone named Cross?". She didn't seemed well kept, actually she seemed frantic with her hair and clothes. Calvin wasn't scared of her, but nervous about what she might say.

Hunter finished speaking as he continued walking with his newly discovered partner. "Tell me, why do you wish to become a Meister. I'm sure it's to become stronger just like everyone else, but is yours different like mine?" Hunter slyly smirked at Dante, he had something in mind, that if his partner did they would be very different than the others. As they walked inside the building he looked around admiring what had been done for the interior as it looked nice yet still like a school. "What do you excel more in, academics or athletics? Me, personally, I excel in both, though sometimes I have a tendency not to study which, to be fair there is better things to do with time, though I somehow manage to do amazing on tests." Hunter gave a few nods while he spoke, and a few more in response to Dante when he spoke.

"Oh for Death's sake...please tell me this isn't real..."

The girl turned around a soft sigh escaping her lips. The boy who had spoken to her couldn't be any more than fifteen and he looked positively tiny. I mean she wasn't exactly the tallest person around at 5'5" but he looked to be her height if not smaller which would prove to be a problem if what she was assuming was true. If he was her Meister they were in for a world of difficulty. Leaning back against the wall she turned her mismatched gaze on the boy with intense scrutiny. Luckily for him she wasn't in one of her manic moods today or this could have gone so much worse and with so much more profanity. Instead she simply tilted her head back and took a deep breath.

"I'm Cross and I'm assuming that you're Calvin..."

She wasn't happy, and it wasn't hard to tell. "Yes I'm Calvin, its great to meet you." Calvin held out his hand and watched as her face was unraveling with what seemed like disgust, or frustration? He realized her hands were of course covered up, and reeled his hands back fast. "Uhm, so what are you.. I mean what kind of weapon are you?". He different colored eyes and hair gave him a nervous feeling, but he was calmed fast, he was paired with her for a reason; she was compatible, she had to be.

"My official weapon title is Experimental Weapon: CSW MarkII... But as for what kind of weapon... How about I just show you..."

Pushing up from the wall she tilted her head, cracking her neck. She closed her eyes tilting her head back. A soft blue flash filtered over her forma as she transformed into her weapon. She was a massive 5'5" weapon, made of black and a wine hued steel shaped like a cross. There was a soft clicking sound as the long arm of the cross split to reveal a gun barrel. One arm of the cross was what was clearly a clip. It was obvious that she was a heavy weapon as well. She maintained this form for one more moment before returning to her normal form. She sighed reaching up to rub the back of her head with her sleeve, stretching a bit. She frowned looking at the boy.

"See my issue now...?"

"Sure," Soleil quietly said. "That's a great idea." She quickly follows behind Aidan, trying not to lose him in the crowd. Wait, I could probably spot him miles away! Soleil giggles a bit. Why exactly IS he so tall? She continues drowning in her thoughts. She didn't like to talk much and expressing herself with words wasn't her forte. Soleil is being more talkative today, hoping for the best with her and her weapon.

Calvin studied basic material between meister and weapon, "If our wavelengths match I should be able to pick you up no matter how big.". Calvin smiled as he couldn't wait to try out the weapon, "We can figure it out, how heavy could you be?".

"One hundred and fifteen pounds with one hell of a kickback... Let's hope you can synchronize with me...otherwise someone's getting f***ed up for wasting my time..."

As she spoke she started rolling up her sleeves, starting with the left one. Her arm was covered in a black and red tattoo the design displaying an array of chains and stars and other little images and patterns. However at her wrist and elbow stitches could be seen crossing the skin all the way around. She buckled the sleeve to keep it up and moved to her right arm. This one was more anomalous in appearance than the left because the limb itself was snow white in hue. It also has stitches at the wrist and elbow and was covered in black and blue tattoos of swirls and orbs. Resting her hands on her hips she leaned back against the wall.

R.J gingerly picked up the scythe. The warmth of the staff spread through his fingers. If one were to see him without his mask, they would see a small smile upon his scared face. "Light..." He mumbled to himself. He twirled the Scythe, the sound of it cutting through the air brought joy to his ears, but he frowned when he realized something. "Your soul... It's comforting in a way that I can't explain. It just feels right."

Calvin watched, the tattoos were normal, but the stitches alerted Calvin. The chains seemed to be cross the stitches, creating the illusion of the chains holding the skin together. He was quick to smile again, until she rolled up her right arm, the one of a different shade. He coughed, his throat seeming to dry at the thought of someone else's arm being attached. Quickly though he averted his eyes to her, which seemed only to enhance his fear, she was malformed with an attitude to fit. He knew this wasn't the right thinking though and thought positive sides to her appearance, she had piercings which he always thought about getting, she had nice tattoos, and her eyes weren't crazed like the rest of her body. The eyes were calming and soothing to him. "Would you like to try now, or get to class?" He glanced at his watch, they had time, but it was up to her.

"If you want to I suppose I have no complaints..."

She shrugged kneeling slightly to unravel the bandages around her other leg, which started just at the top of her black knee high socks. The straight jacket she'd be able to get away with in school but the bandages might be a bit much. Besides she only wore them when she was going out somewhere really public, but this was just school. Much like her right arm the left leg was pure white in color. Stitches marked both legs just above the knee. Tucking the bandage away for later she glanced at the kid who was supposed to be her Meister. She flashed blue once again and transformed back into her weapon form.

She chuckled. "You make it sound as if it's a bad thing..." she felt it too though, it just mean't that they were right pairing them up together. She was glad to finally have a meister, not to mention their souls seemed to synch just right when she was in her weapon form, a good sign. She had never been held like this as a weapon but like he said it felt right.

Would walk along side Hunter entering the building looking around he'd hear his question and a sly grin would come to his face. "I am sure you are thinking the same way I am, I can already tell." He'd say looking over Hunter again seeing his soul form around him reading things about Hunter without having to ask many questions. They'd be easily compatible he'd then go to speak. "I am actually great in both though I spend more time in athletics to better improve myself for combat, you can better fend yourself off combat tactics then book smarts." He'd say his tone dark and voice cool he'd look around again before pausing his music he wasn't putting the headphones back in anytime soon.

Calvin approached this monster of a weapon, and he found himself curious. He latched his hand into the handle, feeling the demonic power move up his soul. The weapon felt right, it felt perfect to Calvin, and he found himself beginning to release the slack in his arm. He tensed up and began to tighten his hand. With the surge of power rushing through his blood he flexed his muscles and lifted, only to be met with firm resistance. The weapon wouldn't budge, and Calvin's face dropped. "It won't move... we aren't compatible." He sighed, "Sorry Cross.".

Hunter hid his smirk, he didn't need to be able to see his Meisters soul to know they were compatible, he could feel and hear it from the man. Hunter peered around noticing the others testing each others compatibility, "When people start questioning if they will work together, that's when they start failing and becoming incompatible. If they just trust what the school has assigned them they will work, the nice boy and the rude girl could have worked if the girl had a little more trust, but alas - they failed." Hunter shrugged keeping pace with Dante not that it was any problem, he felt as if they were the same person the way the moved, the way they thought and the way they acted. "I will not see your fighting style until training or a mission, and you will not see my form until the same time, seem fair? Were you told what we had first, I'm not sure if we were supposed to go somewhere for orientation." Hunter stopped talking as he continued walking around with Dante, watching all of the others, in his mind no one else would amount to what they could become.

Calvin saw Death the Kid, as imposing as he was he helped him. He gave him a chance, but a small chance at that. Apparently someone named Break was supposed to be his new partner, problem was he had gone through more then qualified meisters with no luck. Calvin went back to the steps leading to the academy, awaiting for someone who was supposedly big and built, with a professional look. I hope he is compatible, I couldn't handle two rejections. For his first semester, well it was going terrible, he sat down and let a sad look creep upon his face. I don't ask for much, and yet how worse can it get.

@CelticHero37

As always, the day began with students exploring potential partners and getting to know one another. One student, an impossibly tall male, made his way through the different groups with the usual interviews. New Meisters turned their heads in shock as a Weapon approached them first and made all the motions to initiate a partnership. The man seemed to know exactly what he wanted, and his questions came like a surprise quiz to the untested freshmen. They began to exchange gossip as the towering young man left the area, leaving several shocked at the bluntness of his speech. It would just so happen that Break, a lone weapon of several years, was making his usual rounds and coming up disappointed with the candidates once more.

In all of this routine, however, Break finally turned to the stairs and broke his usual intensity. A newcomer running about yelling messages of self-motivation? This was a fun one. Break's scowl cracked into a smile as he made a beeline for the fresh face, trying to figure out what he could on the trip there. Finally, as he got closer to the other young man, he introduced himself, "Looks like I'll have competition this year, huh? That's a good spirit."

Remembering that this was supposed to be a chance to actually meet people rather than interrogate them, he offered his hand to shake, "Name's Break, I'm an unpaired Weapon. You?"

Calvin looked up from his self loathing session to see an eccentric man and a giant talking to each other, without realizing he began staring at the bigger one. Is that him? Calvin waited, not wanted to get in anymore trouble then he likely in for not being compatible with Cross. He sighed and continued to stare at Break, studying his features.

He was huge, a modest way to put it at least, and had giant shoulders to match. Although huge, he didn't look off or lanky, he seemed proportional. He looked as though he should be carrying hundreds of weapons with him, He must weigh more then Cross ever could. He sighed again at the thought of his failure, then returned to the self evaluating session.

((OOC, if I don't reply for a short time I am momentarily busy. I will get to it.))

He stroked a finger roughly across the blade, lacerating his finger. The blood slowly seeping through my fingers. R.J chuckles at the site. "Pain...." Images of his birthday began to resurface into his mind. He let go of the scythe, letting it clatter against the floor as he inhaled sharply. He slowly backed up before turning on his heel, running off with his head lowered. Not looking where he was going, he accidentally ran into someone. he looked up and realized who he ran into. He ran into the blue haired student. "Sorry." He mumbled.

Michael dropped to the ground and started doing squat-thrust-reaches as a classmate approached him. 'Could this be my partner? No, she was a girl. I'm sure of that much. Competition? He thinks I look competent! Yeah!' Michael balanced on one foot and accepted the handshake. Pulling down his hood, he responded, "I'm Mac Star… I mean, just call me Mac. I was assigned a partner, so when she shows up, I'll have to get to work. If you're unpaired… can you wield yourself?"

Dante only shrugged walking down the hallway listening to other peoples conversations growing slightly annoyed closing his eyes as he walked. "One shouldn't doubt their own abilities, that's only asking for defeat. Confidence is key to success in situations like this." He'd look to the small girl and smaller kid, still walking it was as if Hunter was a shadow of Dante's they moved in sink thought and wave lengths already matched he trusted his weapon and was sure he'd be able to do well without testing to see if their wavelengths would match almost perfectly without training. "Well I think it's actually orientation should be heading too. Better to arrive now then arrive late with the flow of students." He'd say this taking a turn starting on his way towards the lecture hall.

Break chuckled a bit as the other student kept at his workout routine. He didn't stare too much, though, his attention was turned to the others sending questioning looks. It was good, seeing someone unphased by their glances. That took guts. Break assumed that it was guts, anyway.

"That's actually the first time I've heard it put that way," Break responded, trying not to laugh like an immature teenager at the innuendo. "But, uh, yeah. Yeah you can work alone if you need to. I've sorta been at it long enough to say that it works out."

He did admire this Mac guy's spirit. It had been a while since Break had seen a Weapon with that much drive to succeed. Heck, he wagered that none had come along with that much determination at day one since his own entrance a couple of years back.

"Keep an ear out during attendance if they've given you a name. Should be broken into classes after orientation if both of you are new," Break advised.

He figured he could at least hang around here until more Meisters showed up. Making himself comfortable, he commented, "You know, it's pretty rare to see a Weapon take on physical training. A lot of the uninformed think that their human shape has nothing to do with their effectiveness as a weapon."

Ahri walked around the DWMA entrance for some time before deciding to go find her new weapon. Yukina is his name... Strawberry Terrorist? She thought to herself, looking down at the paper. As she walked she watched many people interact and got excited. After tugging on her scarf she looked around, there was a pink head and guessed it was him. Ahri skipped up to the boy and peeked up at him. "Yukina? Yukina Silver?" She had a big, bright smile on as she said this. Her glasses her reflecting the sun, so they hid her eyes.

Yukina

The teen looked at the girl taking off his headphones which were playing some loud metal music. "Yeah, that's me so you must be Ahri, Ahri Gorgon?" he still couldn't believe that Crona had a sister, he hadn't expected anything like that. "If you don't mind me asking, I'm curious if your Medusa's daughter did she give you the black blood too or was that only for Crona?..." he didn't want to offend her but he had to know it was bugging him. He thought she looked strong enough, he could tell that their souls were a good match. He could sense soul wavelengths since he was able to shoot them it wasn't too hard to distinguish them.

Yuri

She watched her new meister run away and was quite confused by the suddenness of it. She reverted back to human form and ran after him wondering what was going on, something was really bothering him and it wasn't from him cutting himself on her it was something different. What she had absolutely no clue of but she did know that it must have been something pretty serious to have made him run away so fast like that...

Xen

Xen was walking around the building for weapons and their meisters looking for her weapon... his name was Micheal, she looked around and saw a guy with blue hair, some other guy running into him a pink haired guy and some girl chasing after the guy running into the blue haired guy. There seemed to be a lot going on around her, she wondered where this guy could be. she started looking around trying to connect the name with a face without much luck.
