Fantasy 𝒮𝑜𝓊𝓁𝓂𝒶𝓉𝑒𝓈 𝒜𝒰.

Vincent was surprised. With Kat always focusing on business he didn’t think she would be that amazing as a photographer, even though she had told him it was her common interest. He sighed looking to the photo. He didn’t have much to say, although it was sad. As much as he was rude and stubborn to other people he always hated to see them in any sort of trauma which is another reason why he gets so defensive.

He had looked around for a couple of more minutes before laughing to her. “Do you miss me that much?” He had teased her as he looked to her and shrugged. “Your choice,” he said plainly as he crossed his arms.

Kat rolled her eyes as she pushed off the couch. She smirked as she moved to playfully poke his side. “Mmm maybe or maybe you are drawable.” She giggled as she took his hand. “I want some nice sweets.” She said with a smile as she leaned into his side.

“Lets go to the store and then you can think from there.” She said as she was excited. She hasn’t taken a day for herself in years. She left her phone on the table because she knew her father would call the instant he heard she skipped.

“Oh please,” he had scoffed as he hugged her from the side, with a small sigh. He had then hugged, “sweets it is then”, he had whispered to her before backing away and exiting the complex.

He had walked with her to the store, as he slightly hummed to himself.

Kat smiled as a light blush appeared on her cheeks when he hugged her. Only her grandmother hugged her so she forgot what it felt like for a moment. She smiled as she happily took his hand on the way to the store. Her eyes went wide with happiness as she headed to the candy isle.

She could hear her nutritionist chewing her in her head but she didn’t care. Sugar was the only thing she rebelled about because she had a massive sweet tooth’s “Ooo sour patch kids.” She said happily as she showed Vince a big bag of sour patch kids. She was showing her more childish side as she looked for candies that she liked.

He had chuckled to her as he followed her to the candy isle. “Pick out whatever you’d like, I’ll get it for ya,” he had nodded to her with a continuous smile on his face.

Vincent had stepped back as he watched her look for candy, enjoying the fact that she had currently been happy.

Kat looked confused for a moment when he said he would buy. She didn’t know why he would want to but she picked out a few of her favorites. She took his hand as she hummed “You don’t have to pay.” She said in a soft voice because she didn’t want to go advantage of his kindness.

She was always conscious of the others around her. “Where shall we go after this?” She asked as she walk through the store with him.

Vincent had looked to her hand before shrugging, “yes I do,” he had chuckled before walking with her and looking to see if he needed anything.

“We can go wherever. As long as your not spied on,” he had frowned a bit but that quickly changed when he thought of something. “Do you like dogs?” He had asked her.

Kat shrugged her shoulders as she walked with him towards the check out. “My father probably already knows…but honestly I can’t bring myself to care right now.” She said as she put the candy on check outs.

She nodded her head with a smile as she let go of his hand for a moment so she could help the cashier. “Yeah I love dogs why?” She asked as she turned to him.

“Honestly, I’d just simply tell him off,” he had muttered to her. He walked over to the casier and quickly paid so he made sure she couldn’t. After a moment, he handed the bag to her.

He had took her free hand before leading her out of the store. “Why don’t we go get one?” He had raised an eyebrow to her.

Kat hummed as she turned to him with a head tilt. “Alright but you have to come take care of it.” She said as she leaned into his side as she walked with her candy. She couldn’t stop the smile on her face.

“That’s if you want to.” She didn’t seem the type to be selfish even if it was for herself. She was always one that never wanted to get hurt so she kept a distance from others.

“Don’t worry, I will.” He had smiled to her as he walked with her. He stared to the ground as he walked thinking to himself.

“Of course,” Vincent had nodded. He had made his way to the pet store, until he noticed someone that he knew. He grinned slightly at the fact, that he was still around, but they were more like rivals now.

Kat looked at him with a curious head tilt as she squeezed his hand. She smiled as she started to look around at the puppies. “What should we get?” She asked as she walked slightly ahead of him to look at the animals.

“I’ve never had a dog…” she admitted as she walked down the row of puppies. Her father always seemed to push the idea of pets off as a trivial matter. “Only reason I learned horse riding was because he said it would improve my status….still don’t know what that means.”

He mumbled something to himself, before he snapped himself back to focus on Kat. He followed close behind her as he looked at the different types of puppies. “Whatever you want, you pick.” He had chuckled slightly, with a smile on his face.

“I’ll help you take after it, don’t worry,” he had went to hug her. It was odd, that his behavior had changed so much, but that was only with her, and nobody else. Well, expect his friends got both sides of the ‘treatment’. Vincent slightly shook his head, so far, he hated her father even if he hadn’t met him yet. He thought to himself as he looked back around to the person was.

Kat hummed as she leaned into him when he hugged her. She wrapped her arms around his neck she was tentative about her movements almost unsure. “Hmm well then I want a bigger dog. One that will be my security when your not around.” She admitted as she gave him a small smile.

She hummed as she tilted her head to the side in thought. “How about a lab?” She asked as she tried to think of dogs but she had little experience with them.

He had held her in a hug with a lean smile, as he looked to the dogs around them. He had then chuckled a bit. “Of course, because I’m so protective,” he had joked around with her.

“Labs are a good dog.” He had said to her before thinking. “If you actually want a protective, protective dog, then you should look in owning a german shepherd, boxer or a doberman,” he had insisted to her, listing off only a couple options.

Kat rolled her eyes as she playfully took her arms away from him. She smiled as she walked ahead of him. “I’m sure you can be protective.” She said as she playfully kept just out of his reach.

She hummed happily before she stopped in front of a cute Doberman puppy. “Arnt you cute.” She cooed at the puppy with a small smile. “This one is perfect.” She told Vince with a happy hum.

“Oh please,” he had scoffed sarcastically as he walked up to the doberman puppy with her, he had looked down before smiling to her. “Then we should get it,” he had whispered to her before lowering himself to the dog and held out his hand for the puppy to sniff.

His old ‘friend’ had suddenly walked over. He was the one person that chose his fathers work, instead of Vincent’s loyalty. “Seems like you’ve met a pretty woman.” He said. His name was Monty.

Vincent shook his head as he crossed his arms, begging himself to not say anything. Monty was the type of person to talk crap, and think he was better than most people only because of his social life.

Kat looked up when she saw a guy approach them. She hummed as she moved to stand next to Vincent. “Hello I’m Kathrine Smith.” She said as she could see the frown on Vince. She didn’t disclose her relationship with Vince to this new person. It was clear how she introduced herself she was being business causal. She knew her name alone would make an informed person identify her.

“We were just looking at this puppy.” She said as she motioned to the Doberman puppy. She figured if she kept her conversation light it would cut the tension.

Monty had smiled, before taking her hand to shake it. “Pleasure to meet you, I’ve heard a lot. Wonderful to know.” He had moved over as he grinned to Vincent.

Vincent had shook his head. “Yes, it is wonderful,” he sternly said to him as he turned around to Kat, to ignore him. He had grabbed her, as he held her by wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. “And don’t touch her,” he had given an unknown smirk of a look. He only did this knowing that affection in public made Monty uncomfortable but that also didn’t mean that Vincent didn’t like it.

Kat looked at Vince with a confused look before she rubbed the arms around her waist. She assumed this man was someone who pissed him off at some point. She softly kissed Vinces cheek. “It’s fine.” She said as she turned to the new person with a raised eyebrow when he said he heard wonderful things.

“Yes I’m sure you have and you are?” She asked as she had no clue who this stranger was that was putting her soulmate on edge. She wasn’t oppose to the affection so she didn’t stop it.

He had heaved a sigh to her but didn’t move. Instead he raised his head to make eye contact to the guy that had stood before him. He had a problem with Monty talking to Kat, or even him. Vincent would have told him off, but he didn’t want to ‘scare off’ Kat.

“I’m Monty Levine, Cooper Perez’s CEO, and a friend of Vincent’s,” he had smiled to her as he looked to Vincent. “We should all hangout sometime.” He crossed his arms as he continued to smile to her.

Kat leaned back into Vincent as she rubbed his arms. A low hum let her lips as she tilted her head. “Sorry I haven’t heard of you.” She turned blunt as she turned her gaze to Vincent. She could feel his tenseness in his chest. Whoever this guy was made him unhappy so she didn’t see the need to be nice.

“We will pass on that request. Excuse us we have important things to attend. I have class soon” She lied as she motioned for Vince to walk.

“Of course not worries, I’ll see you both later on,” he had chuckled to her before winking to them walking away, with a grin on his face he had walked the opposite direction.

Vincent had held her close, as before. He didn’t need much to say because Kat had closed the conversation for him. He had heaved a sigh and closed his eyes for a moment and didn’t move. He felt a slight movement which made him move aside and walk with her. He had looked back to Monty before putting a hand behind his back and flipping him off.

Kat make a look that showed displeasure when he winked at her. She knew enough of those business creeps to know the signs. She sighed as she walked out of the store with him. “So much for a puppy.” She said slightly disappointed but she didn’t see the need to go back into the store. She just chalked it up as not meant to be.

“So who exactly was that guy?” She asked in a curious manor as she took his hand. She figured he did something to piss him off.

“Oh, no, we’re getting that puppy.” He had huffed frustrated. He wasn’t going to let someone get in his way of life just because he had been friends with his father.

“Monty. My dads ‘best bud’.” He had said with a scoff before he took her hand and pulled her back inside to the doberman puppy. He didn’t want her mood to be ruined just because someone showed up; even if it did anger him,

Although, he was worried because he was sure that his father would find out, make fun of it and then tell the world, but it is what it is.
