“I’m not to sure yet. People want me to take up acting, but,” he shrugged unsure about the answer. He had thought for a moment before he poked her in a teasing way. “What do you actually want to do?” he asked with a frown slightly on his face knowing she most likely wanted to do something else.

“I think I have to learn to care for myself and others before I end up going somewhere,” he had whispered to her as he let go and crossed his arms, for support. “Neither of us need to be,” he sighed once more.

Kat laughed when he poked her she couldn’t stop the smile on her face. She turned on her heels as she happily walked ahead “I used to want to be a photographer. I even won awards for it.” She said as she swung her arms in a happy manor when she thought about it. “But as my father said that isn’t a career that’s a hobby.” She said as she tried to remember the last time she picked up her camera.

“We both have a lot to learn about caring.” She said in a soft voice as she knew how she was raised wasn’t caring. She was smothered her whole life for her name alone.

Noticing that she was currently in a good mood, made him smile. He took it into consideration before he spoke. “I think you should be a photographer. It isn’t just a hobby,” he had insisted to her as he watched her.

He fell silent upon caring for the topic. He knew that it would change too much about himself but then again, he thought about his two closest friends that always helped him, and he nodded at the thought.

“What if we moved,” he said plainly.

Kat shook her head no when he suggested the idea of her being a photographer. “No the moment it becomes a chore I know I won’t enjoy it. Besides I can make us good money in business.” She said as she worked hard despite it being her fathers dream. Plus she was good at it. “But I’ll be your photographer.” She teased as she turned to him.

“Move? Where?” She asked as she slowly walked to him. She wasn’t hiding her emotions for the moment because she was enjoying her time for once. She didn’t shoot down the idea but she was curious about it.

Vincent chuckled. “You can do both. Something you need, and something to hold you over, and maybe so.” He stopped walking and shoved his hands into his sweatpants pockets.

“Away from your dad, where you’d like to go. Maybe finally be free,” he had nodded to her. It seemed like a good idea, since he didn’t like the fact that her father was basically controlling her life, but what would he know.

Kat hummed as she watched him for a moment before she leaned back on her heels. She had a hard time doing things for herself even if it was to her detriment. The person she thought of in that plot was him and not her. “If I moved you would be forced to follow and honestly that’s not fair. You shouldn’t spend your life running with me. So why run? There’s no point but I can start to make a life he can’t take away.” She smirked as she eyed him for a moment before she turned again. “Besides you moving in would hurt him worse than me moving out of town. The headlines would give him a heart attack.” She said with a laugh as she walked once more.

“Daughter of world class businessman caught shaking up with random guy from the campus.” She giggled as she made to sound worse than what it was.

He had muttered to himself, as he walked slowly with her, as he listened to her talk to him. “It’s not much of a problem with me, but I’d love to stick around and see how that works out for you,” he had scoffed slightly as he adjusted his glasses.

He shook his head, “yes, such high status with a regular normal college partner,” he had scoffed once again, sarcastically.

She chuckled harder at his sarcastic tone she moved to leaned into his side. “God forbid I have a normal college partner but your not normal are you.” She teased as she slowly walked towards her dorm. She knew he could handle anything her father would throw at him. She would be the one who didn’t know how to handle it and she knew that.

She nudged him softly with her elbow. “I thought you were going to stick around and make it with me.” She said as she gave him a playful smirk. “Not like you have much of a choice. You’re stuck with me now.” She knew if either tried to run the bond would force them back together. The annoyance of it would be enough to drive them both crazy.

“Who knows. Some do research and some don’t,” he had teased back to her as he continued to walk. Vincent knew that he probably should of said something about her father to her, but it wasn’t his business to say anything nor, he’d rather say it to his face but due to the fact of hurting her more, than Vincent probably could, it’d be a bad idea. He knew that they’ve gotten a bit closer over the night, which surprised him but he was worried of when he wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, and doesn’t say or treat her right. He knew, that in order to keep himself mental, he’d need to be the best and stay close just so he wouldn’t have to go through the pain of having the bond, inch towards for every foot that they have gone apart.

As he nudged her back he chuckled slightly. “Who knows, I’m pretty unpredictable,” he had said jokingly as he shook his head. “My, oh my. Stuck with you, I don’t know how this will turn out,” he said jokingly.

Kat looked at him with a soft smile as she stopped in front of her dorm. “It will turn out however we want it to.” She looked up at him for a moment before back at her dorm. “But I’m sure you already knew that didn’t you.” She put her hands in her hoodie pocket. “Your hour is up. You are free now.” She teased with a soft smile as she felt better than she had earlier in the evening.

She shifted on her feet as she hummed for a moment. “I normally go to breakfast at 7 in the mess…if you want to join me.” Her voice was full of uncertainty after all she didn’t want to appear particularly pushy or needy.

He looked to her dorm door, as he crossed his arms, looking back to her with a soft smile. “Of course I did,” he had chuckled before nodding. “It sure is,” he had agreed to her with a smirk on his face as he backed away.

“We’ll see,” he had teased before he turned around to head back to his place. He knew he probably would meet for breakfast considering that he had nothing else special to do. Not only a couple of steps, he had pulled out his phone and called the person that had been nagging him non-stop; most likely to argue with him.

Kat chuckled as she shook her head before she turned to go back into the dorm. She didn’t know what the universe was thinking but she was certain they choose the one person who she needed. For the first time in all week she was able to sleep to the dull pull of her bond

The next morning she was dressed in a nice skirt suit combo. She had a presentation in her business class which required her to dress up. She brushed back a strand of red hair that fell loose from her bun. She waited outside the mess hall to see if he would show however she didn’t hold her breath on it. She hummed as she straightened out her jacket more out of nervous tension.

He sighed, after he hung up the call. He had agreed to take a look at a few things in the morning but it didn’t bother him at all. He’d just end up meeting someone and handing them a file, with his information which he found stupid. Entering his apartment, he went straight to bed without another though, as he was more tired than usual.

When he woke up early in the morning he got dressed in a simple black hoodie and a pair of grey jeans. Grabbing a folder out of his dresser, and looked over it. This is stupid, he had mumbled to himself before he grabbed his phone and glasses and left. On his way to the mess hall, he stopped at an entrance and simply handed the folder to the person, not even bothering to say a word. He needed to do something in his life anyways. A stern frown on his face, still maybe half-asleep, he had looked for Kat.

Kat smirked when she saw him arrive with a look that could murder. It was clear he wasn’t a morning person by the frown on his lips. She slowly walked to him. “You alive?” She asked in a soft voice as she motioned for him to follow her. “You could have said no you know.” She knew how annoying morning people could be. She normally had class at 8 so she got used to being up early.

She wanted something sugary so she headed straight to the cereal. Her mornings ran off a large amount of sugar til her body actually kicked in. She filled a bowl with fruit loops before heading to a table in the back. Normally the only thing she could really enjoy was her sweet tooth.

One he had seen her, he was stunned. How the hell do people even wake up this early, he had muttered to himself before she walked up to him. Nodding, he gave a long sigh as he shoved his hands into his hoodie pocket. “Just a little, and I had to drop off something anyways,” he had mumbled to her before he followed her.

He simply grabbed a small thing of yogurt and some fruit. As he headed back to go sit down, he grabbed a spoon. He had looked to her, as he waited for her.

Kat sat down with a happy hum before she took a bite of her sugar loaded breakfast. She looked at the unhappy look on his face with a small smile. She felt bad for asking him to wake up early. “Sorry I forgot most people don’t have my schedule.”

“What did you have to drop off?” She asked in a curious manor before she took another bite of her colorful food. She figured he had class early but honestly she didn’t know. She realized he never really told her much of anything about his daily routine. “I thought you would have an early class.”

Sitting down across from her, as he took a bite of his fruit bowl. Vincent had looked up to her before shrugging. “No your all good,” he had told her.

“Just something for a friend,” he said plainly. He didn’t want to quite tell her, since he’d rather not have her find out about his whole plan of a so called job. “I do, I have medical classes, but I’ll probably end up skipping again.” He had always taken interest with something in the medical field but he didn’t like doing the work for it, and despite the fact that he barley showed up for classes he still almost aced everything.

Kat blinked for a moment as she looked up from her bowl. “Medical?” She asked as she tried to hide the smirk as she imagined him in scrubs. She knew it wasn’t nice to giggle but she couldn’t imagine him being a medical provider. However she could imagine him being a lawyer every day of the week he had the face for it.

“I have a presentation today so I can’t skip.” She said as though skipping was ever an option. She looked down at her phone she placed on the table. It lit up with her fathers number but she just ignored it.

“Yes, medical,” he said as he squinted to her trying to figure out what she was thinking considering the way that she said it. “Your boring,” he had groaned, teasingly as he leaned back into his seat, looking to what was above him before he looked back down.

“Do you want to answer that?” He had asked her, as he picked up a strawberry and ate it, as he glanced to her phone. “I don’t mind, might be someone important.” he had nodded to her.

She muted the phone before she went back to her food. “No I don’t want to listen to it today.” She could blame it on the fact she was preparing for class. She her father always accepted that excuse any time she didn’t want to talk to him.

“I pegged you for law student over medical.” She admitted as she nudged him with her foot. She took a bite of her food with a playful smirk. “After my first class we can skip the rest…but you gotta go to yours.” She said as she happily drank her milk. She knew that Vince was an under achiever based on his attitude.

He had nodded slightly before chuckling at her. “I mean, if you want me to do law, I’ll do law,” he said jokingly as he nudged her back before finishing the rest of his yogurt.

He coughed dramatically as he stared to her. “And why would I need to listen to you, I don’t want to go.” He had pouted like a crabby toddler. He never had anyone tell him to go to class. Knowingly that she had a smirk on her face he raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms.

Kat couldn’t hold back her laugh as she shook her head. “I’m soulbonded to a toddler.” She teased him with a playful smile as she finished her food. “How do you manage to pass anything?” She asked with a lighthearted laugh which was clear she was just joking.

She had some time before class so she wasn’t worried. “I won’t decide your direction in life. I am just shocked because most med students I’ve had the displeasure of meeting have their heads up their asses.” She said as she looked unhappy for a moment before she shrugged her shoulders.

He had sarcastically laughed, “ha, ha. It’s so funny.” He had shrugged as he looked around him. “Now, that’s a really good question. I sometimes think about that too,” he had said to her with a grin.

Shaking his head, he jokingly threw a small blueberry at her. “Listen, I’m not that stupid,” he had rolled his eyes being sarcastic once again.

Kat laughed as she tried to dodge the blueberry but failed when it bounced off her. She gave him a smile as she tilted her head to the side. “I never said you were stupid. Unmotivated sure but never stupid.” She said as she picked the blueberry up from the floor and put it on her plate. “Besides if you are doing well in the medical field that’s saying something.” She pointed out as she nudged him with her foot.

She knew he just lacked guidance in his life but she was no better. She had a father dictating her every choice. “What a pair we make.” She said as she let out a soft sigh.

“Right, whatever you say,” he had mocked as he watched her pick up the blueberry, and put it back onto the plate. He then shrugged, “I mean, I suppose so.” It took him a moment to think before he set his elbows on the table and rested his head on his hands as he looked to her.

“Right, we’re the best pair,” he had said as he checked his phone to look at the time.
