Fantasy Son's and Daughters of Olympus

Freya swung her body round and shoved her arm into the Hydra's mouth, stabbing it through it's head and out of the top. It bit down as it screamed and Freya's joined it, feeling it's poison start to pound through her blood.

"ENOUGH OF THIS!!!!"

Jethor yelled, charging forward he spun the dial on his watch again. A large spear appeared in his hand. He jumped it the air yelling,

"ZEUS!!!!"

As he did so, a spark of lighting struck the end of the spear as he stabbed it through the center of the skull of the hydra he had pinned to the ground. As the spear entered it discharged bolts of electricity throughout the creature.

Kay hit the Hydra several more times with his mace. It was several times more than he was used to, but eventually it did the trick and down down down the head went as its skull caved in unpleasantly. He hopped off it with a whoop, just as he heard a girl scream.

Idris heard the scream through her coughing and looked up immediately. Freya. She ran towards her as the Hydra head came down. It wasn't quite dead yet, which was good. If it was given time to keep its jaws like that, they'd never extract Freya's arm. Reaching the other girl, she stabbed into the jaw of the hydra, guestimating the correct area from the few snakes she'd killed before. It shrieked again and opened its jaws, allowing Idris just enough time to pull Freya's arm out. But it was badly mangled, and it looked like there might be something more than just saliva dripping from those jaws. She didn't panic. Well, maybe just a little. Looking around for Fawn, she didn't see that girl. She prayed the other girl was okay. For now, she pulled Freya away so the Hydra's breath wouldn't worsen the situation.

The electricity zapping through the hydra affected not just the one head, but all of them, the remaining hydra heads reared up with a mighty scream as its body started smoking. Then, they began dropping, one by one. The creature was dead. And Freya would soon follow if they didn't do something.

Freya groaned and cradled her arm to her chest. Grabbing the remaining bottle from Aphrodite's fountain that she had stashed in her shoe, she drank all but a few drops and placed the now empty bottle onto her arm. The poison began to roll out slowly and she hissed as it did, her arm throbbing in pain. She bit down on her tongue to keep from crying out until the bottle was full of the dark purple swirling liquid. Putting the lid back on, she shook it as her head clouded and her vision blurred, stashing it back in her shoe. She knew she hadn't gotten it all out, but she'd reduced the amount as much as she could. All she had left to do as she fell unconscious, was pray that she would be alright.

Jethro increased the intensity of the electricity to the point where he was gritting his teeth from the pain of holding the spear. Suddenly the spear blew apart from the electric current sending Jethro flying away and landing with a loud splash in the water.

As the poison leached out of Freya's arm, Idris breathed a sigh of relief. The other option had been to suck the poison out, but she'd never done it before, and it probably would've lost Freya more blood than she could afford to lose. She was almost thankful she hadn't had the time or thought to throw away her old shirt, because now it gave her something to bind Freya's arm with... again. "Dear Miss Freya," she said softly as she began tying the wound, "please stop getting bitten by strange creatures." She knew she was being unkind, by being sarcastic, it wasn't Freya's fault she kept getting hurt, but she had really come to see Freya, Fawn, and Jethro, funnily enough just the three of them, as friends and in a way family, and her heart kept stopping every time Freya seemed ready to die on her.

There was an explosion, and Idris instinctively shielded Freya, feeling a shard of something sharp slam into the side of her back. She grit her teeth against the pain as other pieces of metal and wood came flying around her. Looking back up, she saw Jethro fall into the water, his hand seemed to be bleeding, if not... smoking, and he was now weaponless. Was he at least conscious? She left the debris in her back, so it would stop the bleeding for now. The pain, she ignored, but it was amusing to think of herself looking like a little porcupine.

---

Kay saw the guy named Jethro go down, and leaped into the water after him. He'd fallen enough times during surfing to know perfectly well how to swim even in bad waters. Pulling him out of the water effortlessly, he dumped the other boy onto the surface.

Eva watched in horror as the explosion occurred. She watched the stranger go in the water after him and pull him out. She slid over to where he was laying, thoughts racing in her mind as she started shaking uncontrollably. Tears immediately started forming in her eyes as she looked at him, inside of exactly what to do.

Kay checked quickly to make sure the other boy was alive. He put his head on Jethro's chest, then a finger under his nose. "Yyup. He's breathing." He announced to no one in particular. Jin landed next to him, back in crane form, squawking derogatorily. Jethro began coughing up a little water, but he appeared to have been knocked unconscious by impact, not drowning. He hadn't been under long enough for that.

Jethro's body all of a sudden twitched violently as a current of electricity passed through it. It seemed as if the lightning combined with the immediate swim had not done very good things for him. He continued to lay unconscious but every so often his body would begin to spasm.

Eva jumped slightly before sitting down completely. She looked around as the tears started falling. Despite his spasms, she moved so his head was in her lap. She nervously ran her fingers through her hair, nearly crying. "T-There's gotta be something we can do!" she said to the Hawaiian as terror filled her voice.

Idris refused to wince as she put both her rifle and her knife back where they belonged and picked Freya up. Why was this becoming so standard for her? She moved slowly towards Kay, Jethro, and Eva, trying not to let the pain show in her eyes. "How is he?" She asked Kay, when she got close enough. Eva was crying, but Idris wasn't good at consoling people. Calming them, maybe, but not at stopping their tears, so she stuck to what she knew.

Kay looked up at her as he held Jethro down. "He's fi- Woah, lady. You uh... got something on your back, there."

"I know." She said calmly, as if it didn't matter.

He looked at her, thinking she was crazy. "Well, I'd worry about yourself before him. He seems to be going through some shocks, but I think he'll live. What happened to her?" He gestured towards the girl in her arms.

"She got bit by something poi-" Eva started panicking then.

"Calm down, lady." Kay said, in some surprise and mild annoyance. "He'll be fine. I think he just got some shocks from whatever the hell he was doing with his spear. You panicking's only going to make him feel worse when he wakes up."

Fawn's eyes widened At the condition Jethro was in. She instantly rushed to the shoreline.

"Kay, get him here! I can extract the poison." Fawn dug her hands deep into the soil, closing her eyes, the soil beginning to glow beneath the ground.

"Yus, ma'am." Kay grunted, before jerking Jethro off of Eva's lap. "Sorry, miss, gonna borrow him for a bit." He winked at her, before hauling the other boy over to Fawn. Idris followed him, but not too closely. She didn't want Fawn to waste energy on her back. She was still carrying Freya, not realizing that there was still a little poison in the other girl's system.

Fawn closed her eyes, the energy beginning to transmit. "Bring me Freya as well."

The vines erupted from the ground, curling themselves across Fawns shoulders, down her arms, to Jethro. They intertwined around him, glowing intensely around his wounds. After many moments, the wounds were moulded together, the poison being transferred into the vines, killing them as they went back into the ground.

Fawn panted slightly, hiding it from the others. "Please hurry, I must see to Freya."

Idris wasn't sure why, but she quickly followed Fawn's instructions, backing away again so the other girl wouldn't sense her wound.

After an hour of this, Abby hurt all over. She was bruised in several places and she had a large cut over her left elbow but she didn't care. She fell down onto her bed beside Demetri and let out a groan as she tried not to move. "I can't believe you're still in here," she said quietly, closing her eyes and wishing she were in the hot springs.

----------

Demetri was asleep mumbling a few incoherent words like usual. He always slept awkwardly with drool on his face either snoring or talking in his sleep. He felt the extra weight on the bed and slowly opened his eyelids to see Abby, ''Huh?'' he asked lazily not understanding what she just said.

Freya groaned and sat up. "I'm fine Miss Fawn," she said frowning. "I just need to lie down," she continued as she backed away.

------------

"Kill me," she murmured. "I feel like my limbs are about to drop off, and not in the good way."

"Freya." Fawn spoke sternly, as she dug her hands into fresh earth, it glowing intensely. Fawns eyes closed, eyebrows furrowing as she concentrated. "Another is injured. Step forward. Now."

"Think she means you." Kay turned to look at Idris, but she was already long gone, having slipped away back to the hotel. She didn't even hear Fawn's instructions. "What the-" He shook his head. Turning back to the girl with the turquoise hair, he noticed she seemed to be... almost in pain from her efforts. The vines wrapped around Freya and Jethro tightly, then disappeared again, but she was still waiting for the Asian girl. He never had caught her name. He crouched in front of her and poked her in the forehead. "Too late now. You should stop that before you pass out."

"Kill me," she murmured. "I feel like my limbs are about to drop off, and not in the good way."

--------

Demetri lazily smiled and used his hand as a gun pointing it at her.''pow..'' he said softly while giggling and his eyelids closing and snapping back open to not fall asleep.

Fawn finished healing Freya, the poison completely free of her body, dripping down into the soil; the now poisoned vines uncoiling themselves from Fawn, who was breathing heavier; feeling the pain she had taken away from Jethro and Freya. She winced slightly, sweat soaking her skin, sticking her shirt to her slender frame.

She felt Kay poke her burning forehead. She shook her head, standing slowly to her feet, taking her hands from the soil, the glowing lights underneath dying down from the absence of her touch. "I'm fine, thank you."

Jethro's eyes flickered open and he sat up. He cracked his neck and looked around.

"Ouch, talk about a shocking conclusion huh?"

Jethro asked massaging his shoulder.

"Thank you Fawn."

Then he looked over at Eva,

"Hello Sweetest"

Eva looked up, tears still in her eyes as she saw him. She went over without a word and wrapped her arms tightly around him, burying her face in his neck. "Never do that to me again," she mumbled and tightened her grip on him.

Fawn panted, smiling softly, nodding respectfully at Jethro. "No worries." She took a deep breath, closing her eyes, holding her sides due to the pain.

He gently kissed the top of her head and said,

"I am sorry Sweetheart. I went a little overboard, I just get tired of seeing team mebers get injuried. It tends to bring out the worst in me. I did not mean to worry you like that."
