Fantasy Son's and Daughters of Olympus

Walking to the door of the room they were in Jethro slowly raised his hand. He hesitated a bit then taking a deep breath he knocked three times on the door. Slowly lowering his arm after he had done so. He took a single step back and waited for a response.

Idris, hearing no response from Demetri, heard the knock and opened the door quickly. "Captain." There was distress in her eyes, though she stayed in normal posture. "There is a man dead at the docks. Fawn found it." The new guy had been pushed to the back of her mind.

--

Kay stood up awkwardly, his bulk filling the room. "Uhh... hey. My name's Keahilani, but you can just call me Kay. I'm a son of Hephaestus. Nice to meet you."

Idris looked back at Fawn noticing the Hawaiian guy as she did. "She is fine, if a bit distressed. She wasn't there when he died. It was staged to look like an accident, but the body doesn't look right for him to have died of hypothermia a while ago." She took a step to the side. "This is Kay. He was called here as well. Kay, this is Jethro."

Kay nodded once. "Sup, bro."

"I scouted the Acropolis yesterday afternoon. It was completely empty, which is very odd. When I returned, I couldn't access the boy's room and the others were all asleep. I was about to discuss the layout with Freya this morning, when Kay, here, heard us and told us he was also told to go to the Acropolis in four day's time. It turns out that he is also a demigod, a son of Hephaestus, so we told him the situation, when Fawn came running in, looking very upset. When she calmed down, she showed me these photos, saying she found the corpse by the dock just recently." Idris showed him the phone pictures. "She said it looks like he died of hypothermia, but the body looks like it died moments ago. There's so little disfigurement. I think it's Kronos. He wanted to warn us, or frighten us. Or he's just messing with us. I don't know. I was going to contact Demetri but he didn't respond. I'm planning to go out to the site, see if there's anything else there. Will you stay here?" It was a question, not a request.

"His body looked, almost flat." Fawn stood up as she spoke, she swallowed the lump forming in her throat, walking towards Jethro and Idris. "As if his body was completely drained of all blood... But only around the torso. It could symbolise weakness of the heart; Kronos mocking us on our strength, but as of that, I am not sure."

She ran a hand through her hair, pushing it back from her face as she recollected her thoughts, her bangs falling back perfectly as she removed her hand.

"Are you going to be able to get through this? Or is there something I need to do to help you out here."

Jethro asked the two of them.

Idris made a snap decision, then. "I think you should stay with Fawn and the others. I just want to go out to the dock to see if there aren't any other clues. If I'm not back within two hours, I think you should expect not to find me at all, and it most likely means it is Kronos's work." The trip to the dock was about a half hour by foot, anyways. She smiled at them both. "If it's not Kronos, I'll be perfectly safe. I know how to protect myself. See you both later." She began to walk away. The docks weren't far and she was confident she'd be able to find the spot easily enough.

"We don't know who the man is, until he has been identified, along with the cause of death; no one should be left unattended Miss Idris."

Fawn caught her hand, holding it to stop her walking.

"Here is a better idea, you two have been through enough today. Leave the docks to me, monsters tend to leave me be after a bit of convincing. If you both stay here and allow me to handle this then I am sure things will run smoothly."

She looked at them both, then suddenly allowed a laugh to slip through her lips, as she for once relaxed her arms and linked one in Fawn's and the other in Jethro's. "Let's all go then. New guy!" She called to Kay. "Do you want to come with us?"

Kay looked at Jin, then back at them with a grin. "Why the hell not?" He stood and came rolling along with them.

"Lead the way, then, Fawn." She said, softly.

Fawn grinned beautifully, letting out a soft giggle. "Follow me."

She led them to the shoreline, the stench still wavering of rotting flesh, but it was weaker than before. She wrinkled her nose, as she walked closer towards the boat, still stuck on the edge of the river bed; 2 miles from the docks.

"Here."

They looked into the boat, to see that it was vacant.

The body was gone.

Fawn just simply nodded, overcome by confusion and curiosity.

"I think this body was more important than first thought."

Abby rested her forehead to his chest and sighed. "You're already forgiven, Glykia," she said softly, enjoying the feel of his arms around her a little too much. And for a while she lay there, staring at his bare chest with a blush colouring her cheeks as she imagined what it would be like to be loved romantically by anyone. "I should go and get ready. I've got a training session with Draven in a little while," she murmured closing her eyes briefly. "He's teaching me Bataireacht. It's a type of Irish stick-fighting, and it hurts like hell."

Demetri rolled his eyes, '' Nah, stay here. I don't like that guy anyway. He looks like a prick.'' he said not moving from his position. He was enjoying it honestly and didn't feel like unwrapping his arms or lose the warmth.

Abby giggled softly. "Oh he is, but what do you expect from the son of Chaos? Frey likes him regardless, and he is a lot of fun," she said as she pulled back and rolled off the bed, changing into a sports bra and shorts. As she tied her hair up in a high ponytail she got lost in her own thoughts. "I'll be in the training room if you need me," she said as she bent down to pick her water bottle off the floor. "See you after?"

Demetri snickered but didn't resist when she pulled back. He simply looked at her questioning himself. " yeah, see you later." He said rolling to his stomach and not caring that he wasn't in his room. He rested his face on the pillow with the teddy bear in his arm unconsciously. "Good luck-" he said dozing off the minute he said it.

Abby rolled her eyes and giggled as she left to go train with Draven. She wasn't eager, hating to fight even if it was just to train. And Draven himself was tough. Picking up one of the appropriate lengths sticks, she waited for him to attack. That was how it usually was with them. There would be no greetings or small talk, just straight down to business. She paused and listened to her surroundings as she waited for his attack and was ready when he finally did, blocking his movements and returning with a swing of her own.

After an hour of this, Abby hurt all over. She was bruised in several places and she had a large cut over her left elbow but she didn't care. She fell down onto her bed beside Demetri and let out a groan as she tried not to move. "I can't believe you're still in here," she said quietly, closing her eyes and wishing she were in the hot springs.

''0,7,4'' Luke mumbled to himself as he dialed up Terry's number. Been a couple of days, since he hadn't seen his best friend, and he was itching to know how he has doing at the resort. Finishing up, the number, he pressed ''call'' then waited.

Terry was still at the beach, when the phone rang. Picking it up, he answered.

''What's up Fish?'' he spoke smiling.

''Not much. Just calling to see if everyone is ok back there''

''Oh you know. History lessons, training sessions, all that kinda crap. Oh, and demigod love drama'' he spoke snickering. ''Speaking of love drama...How are you, and Miss Love-Me?''

Luke grinned hearing Terry's nickname for Freya. ''We're good. Even better than back at the camp'' he said grinning, then suddenly became serious. ''Listen Terry. You know who are we up against. Kronos is no foe to play with, and I need you guys back at the resort live with the idea, that we might lose, and not come back after all''

''Fish'' Terry mumbled. ''You'll make it. Now shut up and kick Cronos's ass for me, will you? Bye'' he spoke closing the phone smiling.

''Bye'' Luke spoke grinning, then went for a stroll on the beach. Not too far, from him, Fawn, Jethro, Idris and a buff guy we're gathered around a boat. Without a word, he approached them, to look at what they we're looking.

((Gonna be on tonight ;D ))

((Also, please read this. We need to have something happen to the demigods at the resort too. It's growing damp in there xD , and they need action too))

Fawn heard footsteps behind her, turning around swiftly she saw Luke heading towards them. She ran towards him, meeting him half way. She chewed her lip, her expression worried.

"Mr Luke...we have... Some news..."

((*giggles. A buff guy. I don't remember, so can someone enlighten me, what exactly is this monster supposed to be like?))

Idris's alert senses picked up on movement and she looked up to see Luke approaching them. "Good morning, Luke." she said, as soon as he drew near enough to hear her. "Fawn saw a man dead here earlier this morning, but he's gone now, without a trace. There's no sign a body was dragged anywhere. We came to investigate in the first place because his death looked... rather unnatural. We think it may be Kronos's doing."

Kay looked over at the new guy awkwardly. "Uhh, ho there. I'm Kay. Son of Hephaestus."

Luke smiled as Fawn approached him. ''Fawn. I told you, don't call me mister. It makes me feel older than I currently am, and sounds too formal. Just Luke is fine''

Slowly nodding at Idris's remarks, he turned towards the new guy. ''Hey there, Kay. My name is Luke, and I'm the son of Poseidon. Glad to have someone new joining our ranks'' he said as he shook Kay's hand. Turning towards Fawn and Idris, he questioned them.

''Could be Kronos, most definitly. No other sick bastard would be able to pull this kind of thing off, without leaving traces'' he said thoughtfully. ''So, what are your plans? Do you plan on exploring the boat? Look for clues?

She took her phone out of her pocket. "I took pictures of both the body and surroundings as soon as I found them; the body looks as if the blood was drained from the torso, but at first look it was made to seem accidental; almost as if it were hyperthermia."

She showed Luke the pictures.
