Carmen smiled and let them in, getting their luggage just inside their foyer, going to get them drinks, "It's good to see you guys, this afternoon is just about relaxing and then tomorrow there's another lunch with my family." She told Max, watching the boys a little and just frowned seeing how badly Bill was doing "They had to remove most of that lung didn't they." She frowned some, "Oh, we have the pool working now and it's indoors and heated so whenever you want, towels are in the closet to the right when you go in there, just go take a dip" She told her

Bill nodded and smiled, following Aemond up the stairs when he said he would show him to their room, having to pause halfway up and then again once they got to the top of the stairs, struggling to catch his breath, "Sorry... Takes a lot... Longer now." He grunted a little and eventually managed to follow him again.

Max followed her inside and gave a small nod "Yeah, unfortunately they did." She said softly as she took the drink "Ooo now that sounds lovely, nice dip in the pool." She said giving a small smile. "And how are you? Hows Aemond's head? You were saying he's been having some bad headaches recently."

Aemond frowned deeply seeing him struggling to breath "Its alright, if you'd like I got a room on the first floor." He said putting his hand on his shoulder "Health getting the best of both of us huh?"

She nodded a little and smiled "He's okay, struggling but we're just waiting on the call now to find out what's going on. The worry is how bad it might get while we have a baby on the way, I don't need the stress and he's just been promoted through to lead my family with Ubbe, he wants to do my father proud but if he's not well it's gonna be a struggle." She sighed, taking a seat.

He waved him off and shook his head "It's fine, this is just from all the travel." HE muttered, rubbing at his face "I heard about your rise in the family by the way... Your brother isn't happy about it. Pulled all of us into a meeting and threatened us that if we chose to leave and align ourselves with you instead he'd kill us... I'd like to see him try." He muttered, chuckling a little, "He's running the business into the ground at the moment."

Max gave a small nod as she listened to her friend "Oh shit, well I hope its not the worst. I know you both will pull through this. You're strong as hell and so is he." She said beforr smiling widely and putting a hand towards her belly "How far are you?" She asked happily.

Aemond sighed heavily and gave a small nod "You'll have my protection and Carmen's family if you choose to join us. My brother is a fool, they'll see now just how much I did for them." He muttered before shaking his head some

He just nodded and thanked him while he set up their bags in the guest room, turning to see Max walking in a little later on. "Hey, you happy?" He asked her, smiling a little

Carmen smiled a little "Almost 18 weeks," She told her, glancing up at Aemond when he came back down, "Your room is the second door on the right up the stairs." She told Max, heading through to Aemond's study with him for a minute, "You okay?"

Max smiled widely at her "That is amazing news Carmen. I'm so happy for you both." She said before thanking her and going up to the room. She smiled happily seeing Bill "Yeah I am, are you?" She asked kissimg him gently

Aemond sighed softly looking up at Carmen as she came in "Hey, I'm alright. Just....my brother is being difficult. Told Bill he would kill him if he chose to side with me." He muttered

She rolled her eyes and just sighed heavily. “Well we kinda saw this coming. I don’t want you worrying about it right now though.” She told him, slipping her arms around his shoulders and smiled. “I love you.”

He nodded and sat down on the bed, holding her close to him. “Needed this.” He mumbled. “Aemond said we got a big family dinner with her family tonight but we should just relax tik then. Get some rest from travel.”

Max gave a small nod and smiled softly as she held him "I agree, they also have a heated indoor pool, we should try and take a dip." She said whule she moved to lay on the bed with him "I love you Bill."

Aemond gave a small nod and smiled "I just don't want to go to war." He muttered before kissing her hand gently "I love you too."

He chuckled quietly. “Oh lord. Wait til you see ragnars place. I went there once whil I was working with Alex…. Place is huge.” He told her.

She shook her head and frowned. “I don’t think it will get that far.” She told him quietly, moving to sit on his lap and placed his hand on her slight bump. “They should be kicking soon. I felt them move this morning.” She told him smiling.

Max gave a small laugh and smiled some "Oh really? Well that will be interesting to see." She said before cuddling up close to him.

Aemond smiled softly and immediately relaxed when she placed his hand on her bump. He rubbed her bump in soothing circles and nodded softly "I can't wait to feel it."

She smiled and watched him. “I’m gonna go lay down with a book. Be ready for six please.” She murmured, kissing his cheek and got up to go up to their room with Frokost.

He smiled and held her close, kissing her head before falling asleep, exhausted from the travel

Aemond nodded and kissed her gently before letting her go. He started on some paperwork in the mean time until dinner.

Max woke up around four and started to get herself ready for the dinner. She smiled softly seeing Bill come in later to get himself ready "Are her family anything like Aemond's? I've never met them."

He chuckled and shook his head. “Not really. His are high society. These guys are farmers who hit the money.” He chuckled. “The great Ragnar Lothbrok doesn’t usually wear shoes.” He smiled.

Carmen was ready and downstairs waiting for everyone with the dog until they all came down and she grabbed the car keys. “Any time you guys wanna head back let me know we both got house keys and I can get you a taxi.” She told max.

Max gave a small laugh but smiled some "Well alright then." She said before helping him fix his collar "You look very handsome by the way." She murmured before kissing him gently and heading downstairs "Alright then, thank you Carmen." She said sweetly

Aemond came out with his hair up and eye patch on with no Sapphire inside. He took Carmen's hand and stayed silent as they went to the dinner.

She got out once they arrived and sent the other two ahead, taking aemonds arm and frowning. “You okay? Your head bothering you?” She asked him quietly while they walked

Bill walked her up the path to the mansion and chuckled as he watched her face. “The estate goes five miles each way too.” He told her, heading inside to say hello to the family who had been allies with his father for as long as he could remember.

Max went wide eyed when they got to the mansion and looked at it in awe. "You weren't lying." She said quietly to Bill before heading inside with him. She smiled and polietly stayed quiet only saying hello as Bill introduced her to everyone.

Aemond shook his head a bit sighing heavily "No, just business stuff." He murmured before taking her inside. While she had been adimant of him staying away from her past, Aemond couldn't help but look further into the death of her former fiancé. It had taken him months, but finally he had figured it all out and he knew if Carmen were to find out it would wreck her.

She just nodded and sighed "Alright, try to relax while we have guests though love." She coaxed

He took her round to say hi to everyone until he heard the tapping approach and turned to see Ivar making his way over "Good to see you. Ivar this is Max, Love this is Ivar, the youngest of Ragnar's children." He explained to her

Aemond gave a nod and kissed her gently "I will beautiful." He whispered holding her close to him and watching her family.

Max smiled sweetly at Ivar and shook his hand gently as he extended it to her "Hello Ivar, its a pleasure to meet you." She said sweetly to him blushing lightly when he complimented her appearance "Oh...why thank you."

He smiled and watched her. “And why has my sister not brought you around here before? If you ever leave him, let me know. “ he smiled at her some before heading off to go speak to his mother.

She sighed a little and headed to go sit down with Torvi and the children, wanting to spend time with her nieces and nephews.

Max laughed lightly and shook her head some at him. She looked at Bill seeing his angry face and raised an eyebrow at him "What?" She asked moving kiss him gently

Torvi smiled happily as the kids immediately went to play with her and start to do her hair. She gave a small frown though seeing Ubbe and Aemond go off "How are you doing? How is the baby?"

He just shook his head and went to get a drink, walking away from her.

She smiled a little and leaned back “baby’s doing good. Aemond is just as stressed as Ubbe about the take over. Keeping an eye on Ivar the whole time you know how he is. Oh! Max this is Torvi, my sister in law and mother to these five lovely rascals.” She smiled gesturing to the kids around her.

Max went over to Carmen as Bill left her and smiled at the other woman "Hello, its lovely to meet you." She said happily watching the children play.

Aemond sat in Ubbe's office sighing heavily as he watched him "We need to talk, since Bjorn isn't here at the moment you can fill him in." He muttered

Ubbe nodded and frowned, sitting down. “You get a call from the hospital yet? I think I’ve got Ivar occupied for now to stop him interfering by the way. Gave him a contact to work with out in Russia.” He muttered, frowning at the look on his brother in laws face. “You haven’t told her about it yet.” He gathered.

She smiled and nodded “you did the flowers for their wedding.” She reminded her. “And will be doing them for the ceremony for me and aemond once we have our norse wedding.” She smiled

Max smiled widely and gave a nod "Thats right! Those were some of my favorites to do." She said happily while sitting by Carmen. "We need to get more ideas on that, I wanna make sure they're perfect for you."

Aemond frowned deeply and nodded some as he watched him "Not sure how I am supposed to tell my wife that her mother had her late fiancé killed. Or that her two closest brothers have known about it the entire time." He spat

Ubbe visibly tensed and got up to lock the door before sitting down again. “Don’t. Don’t tell her for the love of the gods!” He spat. “You don’t know what you’re looking into.” He told him seriously. “Bjorn and I have not kept this from her for my mothers sake. I have little love for that woman!” He snapped, “but for carmens sake. You need to rethink this.” He muttered. “Because the cover up was to stop her from losing herself. You want her to get to a point she loses the baby again?!” He questioned him.

She smiled and nodded, getting up when she heard her name called and excused herself to go to the kitchen, finding Ivar and her mother in there. “If this is about aemonds position I don’t want to hear it.@ she muttered but frowned when he said it was about max.
