Aemond groaned and pouted a bit "Alright, alright." he murmured before kissing her gently. He got up and went to get ready taking her to her parent's place for this get together. He sighed as they got inside and frowned deeply seeing her mother. He had found out a few details about her recently that made his blood boil.

Max gave a small nod and sighed softly "We'll get you back to yourself soon enough." she said kissing him gently before sipping at her coffee. She took his hand and led him to their little breakfast nook just to sit and relax together "Have you ever wanted to maybe get a pet?"

Carmen walked in and headed straight over to Torvi and her nieces and nephews to say hello, sighing as they immediately ran to go see Aemond instead always excited to talk to him and carmen just rolled her eyes. “Oh they got a new favorite”


He shook his head frowning. “I’m not much of an animal person to be honest. Plus never had the time. We should go see my family in Sweden after we’ve seen aemond and carmen. Might as well whike we are there.”

Max gave a small nod but frowned when she mentioned his family "No...not if Gus will be there." She said coldly before taking his hand in hers and biting her lip gently "What do you think about kids?" She asked softly. It was a subject they hadn't approached yet, but she knew it would be better late than never.

Torvi smiled widely as the children ran to Aemond "He is the shiny new toy." She said laughing a bit as he showed off his Sapphire eye "How are you?"

She smiled and shrugged "Things have certainly been worse. I worry about him still, he's still getting headaches." She sighed some "Do you have any idea what this announcement is going to be?" She asked her frowning some.

He frowned and shook his head "He won't be. He's in Italy until next year. But everyone else will be home and it would be good to see my father again." He pointed out. "I've never really though about them before to be honest love... I don't know what kind of father I'd be."

Torvi gave a small nod "That kind of concussion, lucky he didn't have any damage." She. Said before shaking her head a bit "No, Ubbe has been quiet about it."

Max gave a small nod and squeezed his hand "Alright then, we'll go see them. Think about it though sometime. I'm not saying I want them now, but in the future I might like one or two." She said truthfully to him

She nodded and sighed a little, smiling as Aemond finally got free of the kids and made his way over to her "You get ambushed love?" She smiled, taking his hand as he sat down with them, noticing the look in his eyes and she got up "I'll be right back." She murmured, heading to the kitchen to get a drink each for them plus some painkillers for him as it was obvious enough to her that he had a headache coming on, taking it back out to him.

He nodded and just watched her for a minute "I'm gonna head in to talk to the boss about taking a few more weeks off." He told her quietly, pecking her cheek and went to get dressed to head in.

Max gave a small nod and smiled softly at him "Alright love, I'll be here. I don't need to go to the flower shop until tomorrow." She said sweetly. The business was doing well enough that she could now hire another two people to run the shop, even though Bill now wanted her to sell it and stay at home.

Aemond chuckled softly and nodded a bit "Yeah I did." He said softly before giving a small grimance as his head started to hurt. He gave Carmen a small smile as she brought him the pain medicine "Thank you love." He said sofftly before kissing her hand

He nodded and finished getting ready, pecking her cheek and heading out.

She just nodded and sat down again, watching as one by one, the others piled into the room and before long the whole family was sat around just waiting for Ragnar to make the announcement.

Max let him go and started on her day answering emails and figuring out what to buy for this season when it came to vases and other accessories for her bouqets.

Aemond looked over at Ragnar as he came in giving a small shake of his head. He would never get used to this casual family man Ragnar. It was a completely different demenour than him as a business man, definitely had Aemond thrown for a loop when he first saw him like this.

Carmen was curled up, leaning up against aemond when he walked in and just sat up a little more, intrigued to hear what he had to say

Ragnar cleared his throat and smiled a little “My wonderful family. All of the idiots in one room.” He chuckled. “Children. You should go to the next room. Your lunch is ready in there.” He told them sending all of them with gunnhild before continuing. “I am getting old. And I have a wonderful home and lots of grandchildren to spend time with and lots of land to take care of now. So I am retiring.” He told them all, ignoring how his wife was glaring at him. “I have asked Bjorn to take over and his answer was no. However… I have two other people in mind who I think together can bring us to new heights. Ubbe, my second son… and the other may be surprising but as always there is method behind my madness.” He chuckled. “Aemond. You may be newest to the family but you have already proven your loyalty and your worth to both my daughter and the entire family.”

Bill got home much later than planned and stumbled through the doorway a little, drunk as a skunk and in a very good mood. “Maxine!” He called happily. “Darling I am home.” He dropped his keys onto the table and stumbled through to the kitchen seeing her at the stove, making his way over and wrapping his arms around her. “Hello beautiful. I missed you.” He slurred, grinning.

Aemond went wide eyed when he heard his name brought up having not heard about this. He was supposed to have had a meeting with Ragnar a few days ago, but his head had prevented him from making it. He glanced around the room as he noticed all eyes on him. He looked to Ragnar and gave a small nod of appreciation "Thank you Ragnar, I will make sure to keep your family proud."

Max raised an eyebrow when she heard Bill's drunken voice ring through their condo. She laughed lightly as he wrapped his arms around her "Hello there....where have you been? Its late." She said before turning off the stove

Carmen smiled and nodded to her father, giving aemonds hand a tight squeeze, noticing the glare from her mother though and Ivars fury to match, seeing everyone finally start to disperse and she stood to go talk with Ragnar. “You’re going to get it in the ear from mother and Ivar later. She’s raised him to feel more important than the rest of us.” She muttered. “But aemond and I wanted you to know first, we are expecting our first child.” She smiled.

He grinned and let his hands roam wherever they felt like. “Oh I don’t know. Just whatever bar we felt like. Big win today… not by me… but they let me celebrate.” He told her. “I ever tell you I love you?” He asked her, leaning on her heavily

Max sighed softly and turned in his arms "You're supposed to stay out of crowded placed Bill." She murmured worried about his health still while she wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed him gently and smiled happily laughing as he moved to kiss her neck "Down boy down! Let me atleast make it where the food keeps warm." She giggled.

Ragnar looked at Carmen and shrugged some "I'm not worried about them, I love Ivar he has a brilliant mind, but sometimes he thinks only of profit and not the relationships necessary to keep us running." He murmured. His face broke out into a huge grin when he heard her say she was pregnant "Wonderful! Another grandchild to spoil." He said happily before hugging her tightly

He groaned and just kept holding onto her. “But I want you.” He muttered, waiting patiently until she was done and he dragged her back to their room.

She smiked and nodded. “I’m going to move away to strictly behind the scenes going forward. But aemond will make you proud I’m sure of it.” She told him, going back to find him and frowned hearing he’d gone upstairs, finding him in the guest room holding his head.

Max lay with him afterwards panting some frowning as she heard his wheezing. She sat up some and rubbed his chest in deep soothing circles "I love you babe." She said softly as she stared down at him smiling softly.

Aemond looked over at the door when he heard it open. He groaned softly placing his head back in his hands "My head....its pounding so badly. I can't...shit my vision is blurry."

He smiled tiredly and just kissed her hand, watching her until he passed out half from being so drunk and half from being worn out.

Carmen frowned and shook her head. “Alright. You’re gonna stand up and we are gonna head to the car and I’m taking us home for you to rest. Lean on me or whatever you need but we just need to get out the house before Ivar realises something is wrong. Just trust me on this.” She murmured, getting him up and taking him out to the car, telling her mother that she felt really sick so they were going home and eventually got him into the car, starting to drive them home. “Alright. Too much stress today I think.”

Max smiled some and gave him a quick kiss before she got up and went to eat making sure to keep a plate ready for him in the microwave. She looked over at the stairs when she heard him come down later "There is a plate for you in the microwave."

Aemond grunted softly but nodded some "Alright then." He muttered before following her down with her help. He got in the car and immediately layed back taking deep breaths "I think I should see a doctor again...I shouldn't be having this bad...of headaches...especially with baby on the way.." he grunted

She nodded and frowned. “I’ll call them while you go lay down for a nap.” She assured him, getting them home in good time and helped him into the house.

He just nodded and yawned going to eat his dinner then straight back to bed, the days activities having drained him completely

Aemond thanked her before falling silent. He kissed her gently as they got home before going up to bed and laying down immediately.

Max gave a small laugh as he went back up to bed knowing he would probably have a bad hangover in the morning. When she woke up the next morning she heard Bill already awake and in the shower.

-2 weeks-
Bill groaned a little as they finally stepped out of the airport into the freezing cold Norwegian air. “Why are we coming in winter?” He grumbled a little, pushing their luggage cart out to the taxi stand.

Carmen had been spending the last couple days making sure the house was all ready and tidy for max and bills visit, also to keep her mind occupied from the worry about aemond. He’d had his appointment but they’d said to wait a couple weeks for results and now they were ready for them any day now

Max came out all bundled up and laughed lightly "Because we needed this baby." She murmured before kissing him gently before helping him load the taxi.

Aemond gave a small smile seeing Carmen finishing the last of the house up "Beautiful everything is fine come sit down." He murmured reaching for her. He was worried, wanting to know what these test results would mean for him.

She sighed a little and rubbed at her face. “I just want things to be clean.” She mumbled, going to sit with him and wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face against his shoulder. “What time is your meeting with Ubbe tomorrow?” She asked him quietly. “I would like for you to tell him about what’s going on.”

He rolled his eyes and just got in with her, “I hope they got food once we get in… you think carmen has got him eating scandi dishes yet?” He asked her frowning, looking deep in thought for a minute.

Aemond let his hands roam her body in a soothing way giving a nod "Its at 3, I'll make sure to tell him about everything." He murmured kissing her cheek repeatedly.

Max got into the cab and nodded some "I think so, I know she said she has been making him try new dishes." She said with a small laugh. She kissed his hand gently frowning when she saw him deep in thought "You okay?"

She nodded and sighed a little, “I just wanna get you on the road to feeling better.” She told him quietly, “but Ubbe will be supportive. I trust him.” She promised him, looking up when she heard a car pull into their drive

Bill shrugged. “Just thinking love. Ready for this getaway to mostly have you relaxed for the first time in ages.” He smiled at her, giving her hand a squeeze.

Aemond gave a small nod and kissed her gently "I'll be alright love, promise." Hw murmured before she got up as they heard the car pull in. He gave a smile as Carmen opened the door to greet their guests "Bill! Its good to see you!"

Max gave him a small nod and squeezed his hand back "I hope so." She said sweetly before getting out of the car with him. She smiled widely as she saw her best friend and rushed out of the car to give her a hug "Oh it has been too long! You look great!" She said happily
