She sighed a little and frowned "He's uh... They're sorting him out, I'm waiting for information, they think he's got a bleed... I'm feeling better... Ribs are still painful but it's better than it was... Is the puppy settling in?" She asked him frowning.

He frowned and just watched her "I feel weird." He mumbled, not really hearing her and trying to stay awake still

Hvitserk gave a small nod and smiled some when she mentioned the puppy. He put the donut he was about to eat quickly in his mouth and pulled out his phone. "Doing great, you got yourself a real good one." He said with half a mouthful while he scrolled through some of the photos he had taken for her of the puppy.

Max frowned but nodded pressing the call button for him "Okay love, just try to focus on me,we'll get someone in here soon." She said gently

She smiled a little and nodded "Aemond wants a snake. I've told him not yet." She smiled tiredly, rubbing at her face until her doctor arrived to let her know that she was being discharged today and just to keep taking it easy and keep resting for now, thanking him quietly, "We're moving home to Norway." She told Hvitserk "Father won't have me near the rest of Aemond's family anymore."

He frowned some and just kept squeezing her hand until it got to be too much effort and he let his arm go limp, still watching her "It's like someone... is squeezing my... my waist." He grunted

Hvitserk gave a small frown and nodded some "Well let us know if you need any help with the move okay? We'll all keep you safe." He said giving her hand a small squeeze "Do you need help getting dressed?"

Max frowned deeply and pulled the blanket back some "Okay just hold on." She said before pressing the call button again looking at the nurse as she came in "He said it feels like someone is squeezing his waist."

She shook her head and sighed a little. “I think I’ll manage.” She told him, waiting tik they were letting her leave and she made her way out to find out where aemond was at.

She nodded and frowned, stepping over to check him over until he started coughing blood all over the place, pressing the emergency button and sending max to the corner of the room out of the way.

The nurse that had helped them earlier looked over at Carmen as she came out of her room "Mrs. Targaryen, they've taken him into surgery. The swelling was becoming too much from what I heard and they're wanting the take off some of the pressure." She explained to her "Once he is out we will escort you to his room."

Max moved away as soon as she saw the blood come out of his mouth. She let a few tears fall as she watched nurses swarm in and surround him. She desperately wanted to ask what was happening but knew they wouldn't have the answers. It wasn't long before they made her leave the room while the doctor's came in.

She frowned and just nodded, going to take a seat and make a few phone calls to start organising the move so that it would be as smooth as possible for them.

Bill remained conscious only a little more after they made her leave but his breathing quickly came to a halt and he blacked out, the team rushing a crash cart inside while they desperately tried to figure out what was making him deteriorate

Hvitserk sat with her until they called her name to take her back "You want me to stay here?" he asked her gently before they went into the room.

Max remained outside the room crying quietly watching as they rushed to the crash cart in. She took deep breaths trying to calm herself down but she grew more and more scared as the time progressed.

She nodded and headed inside, going to sit down and just sighed quietly seeing him looking tired but awake and drinking some water. “I’ve been set free but how are you doing?” She asked him quietly, taking his hand.

She was finally let back in almost an hour later when they had got him much more stable and really on the mend as long as he stayed rested, explaining that he should be okay from now on.

Aemond groaned quietly as he reached out for her hand "I head hurts...they had to cut my hair." he said pouting at her but soon relaxing when he felt her hand squeeze his. "Its not as bad as it was though. " he said quietly to her "They cut open my head to relieve pressure, atleast that's what the doctor said."

Max rushed into the room when she allowed back in. She thanked the nurse profusely before taking his hand back in hers kissing it repeatedly

She nodded and smiled as she watched him. “They did a good job. There’s just a little section shaved love. It’ll be hidden…. They did. But it’s done now and they said if all goes well I can take you home tomorrow. So one more night here.” She told him quietly.

He was half conscious anyway and just stared at her a long while until he fell asleep again, finally getting a little color back in his face

-6 months-

Max sat at her and Bill's now shared apartment giving a heavy sigh as she waited for him to come home. She had insisted on staying by his side once he got out of the hospital, she wanted to make sure he was completely safe. Eventually, they decided on just moving in completely together after about a month. He had decided recently though to go back to work, and it worried her to no end. She didn't think he was ready at all to be back in that life.

Aemond groaned softly as he woke up putting a hand over his eye. He grabbed his eyepatch and placed it over the hole on his face before taking a few pain killers. He was pretty much fine now, but the headaches still came and went. He chuckled softly when he noticed the dog come over to try and snuggle with him "Hey there lovely." he said sweetly while he petted behind his ears. Even though it was technically Carmen's dog, he still loved it dearly. Things had finally started to calm down for them once their move to Norway had become official, though he still got an earful from his mother. They were finally safe and not having to deal with their bullshit.

It was late by the time the door opened and he walked inside, locking the door behind him, turning lights on and trying to not make too much noise, going to get a drink in the kitchen and avoid her. He felt like he’s been hit by a truck and he didn’t want to hear the lecture but he jumped outta his skin when he heard her voice in the doorway.

Carmen was sitting on the bathroom counter, looking over the three sticks she’d used, waiting impatiently for an answer when she heard him walk in, smiling as he came to stand between her legs. “Morning…. I got two more minutes before we have an answer. I’m sure it’s worked this time.” She smiled, pecking his cheek.

Max frowned deeply when she heard Bill come in late that night. She made her way downstairs and sighed heavily seeing him in the kitchen "You're home late." she said softly watching as he turned around "Shit Bill....you look awful." she murmured before going over to him and cupping his cheeks gently.

Aemond got up after a minute and made his way to the bathroom. He smiled softly seeing Carmen sitting on the counter before he stepped between her legs and looked over at the sticks on the counter "I think so too, you've been getting sick lately, and moody as hell." he murmured giving a small laugh as she slapped his chest playfully.

He frowned some and dropped into a chair, just watching her. “I can’t catch my breath…. At work.” He grunted. It was just exhausting him to be like that.

Carmen rolled her eyes and just held onto him. “Mmm you’re lucky I love you.” She teased him, gently pulling him closer with her legs wrapped around his waist. “We have to be at lunch for midday.” She reminded him

Max frowned deeply and gave a small nod kissing him gently "Love we need a break, the two of us. Away from all of this, maybe go to Norway and visit Carmen and Aemond." she said softly looking at him with concerned eyes "I just want you to be fully healed." she admitted quietly

Aemond chuckled softly and gave her a soft kiss before resting his forehead against hers "Is everyone going to be there?" he asked running his hands up and down her body gently.

She nodded. “Apparently there’s an announcement.” She murmured, hearing her timer go off and she quickly looked over, staring at the tests for a minute before looking back at him with a smile. “You ready?” She giggled excitedly.

He nodded and sighed a little. “Call them and book it.” He murmured, trudging up to bed slowly, pausing halfway to catch his breath and frowned some.

Max gave a small nod and frowned deeply as she watched him go off. She followed him up to bed and sighed heavily. She helped him get into his night clothes once she saw him struggling and gave him a quick kiss.

Aemond nodded happily at her and took the tests in his hands. He smiled widely seeing all three coming up positive "We did it....we did it love." He said softly before he gave her a loving kiss.

She smiled and nodded excitedly, throwing herself forward against him. “By the gods I hope they have your hair.” She giggled, kissing him again, eventually pulling away so he could do his morning bathroom stuff. “Oh by the way Karl dropped off some files for you. He didn’t want me to see them though so he put them straight into your study himself, everything okay?” She asked him.

He frowned and just watched her, reaching over and gently cupping her cheek. “I’ll get there. Promise.” He murmured. His guys had found who had ordered the hit on him and dealt with the problem now but the damage had already been done.

Aemond gave a small nod as he finished up his morning routine "Just something I'm working on, nothing major." He murmured giving her a soft smile "Promise." He murmured before peckimg her lips "Now come on, lets go get some breakfast."

Max gave a small nod and kissed him gently again "I know love." She said sweetly before going to get ready for bed. She crawled into bed with him after her nightly routine and soon curled up close to him falling asleep.

He just lay awake for half the night, watching her happily until he finally fell asleep around 3am

Carmen nodded going to get dressed and call her doctors to make an appointment, heading down once it was done and got Frokost his breakfast with a giggle like she did every morning. “Giving Frokost his Frokost.” She giggled, seeing aemond shaking his head. She’d finally told him that it was just Norwegian for breakfast once they moved but it made her smile every morning

Max woke up the next morning and smiled softly seeing him asleep next to her. She got up quietly and went to do her morning routine before texting Carmen to give her a call once she had the chance. She let out a small squeak and jumped when she felt Bill's arms snake around her from behind "Good morning handsome."

Aemond chuckled some and shook his head some "You are a strange little woman, but I love you." He said kissing her cheek gently as she sat beside him.

She smiled and just watched him some while they ate, “max called yesterday. Said she might book flights to come see us and get bill away for a while. He’s really not going good.” She told him frowning.

He grumbled a little and buried his face into her hair. “Morning.” He muttered. “You sleep okay?” He asked her with a yawn, going down to make some coffee

Aemond gave a small frown but nodded a bit. He'd forgiven Bill after everything had happened and they had been able to talk. While he didn't like that he knew about the hit on them, he also knew that Bill had been right about him not listening. "Should be fine, they're family." he said before sipping at his drink giving a small smile.

Max gave a nod and smiled "Yeah I slept alright." she said softly watching him make his morning coffee "I texted Carmen, wanted to let them know that we'll be coming by hopefully soon." she said before kissing his cheek and making herself a coffee as well. "How did you sleep?" she asked gently running a hand through his messy hair.

She sighed and nodded, moving to sit in his lap and kiss him gently. “Come on, let’s get ready, I want to know what this announcement is.” She sighed, going to get dressed to go to her parents house for a large get together.

He nodded and frowned. “Up and down. I sleep until I can’t breathe then it wakes me up.” He mumbled.
