Realistic or Modern Something in the Orange

Ivar rolled his eyes when he heard his sister "Oh shush its not that, its about that lovely friend you brought over." He said smirking a bit "How serious are her and the Skarsgard?"

Aemond frowned deeply as he listened to Ubbe "She deserves to know at some point! Know that part of her family will try to destroy her when given the chance." He spat shaking his head some "Get some kind of fucking closure!"

Ubbe shook his head and frowned. “Joe never deserved what happened to him. But it also wASMR supposed to happen the way it did. The men who did the job are dead. Long gone now. My mother is awful. I know that but to go after her would cause problems with Ivar and to keep some kind of peace, we had her agree to stay away from carmen as much as possible. For now. That is enough. It is not your place to tell her the truth nor will she thank you for it.”

She shook her head. “Ivar he almost died for her. They’ve moved in together. It’s serious. Do not go stepping on toes please. Mother tell him that it would be so wrong.” She muttered.

Aslaug gave a small shrug and smiled some at her darling boy "Well, if she really does love him, then she will not give into Ivar's advances. The gods may have something planned that even we do not know about." She said sweetly

Aemond frowned more but sighed heavily "You both should tell her...I understand not now...but she deserves to know the truth." He muttered before getting up and leaving the room.

Carmen shook her head frowning. “Don’t be ridiculous. There should be no advances. Or have you forgotten about the way someone else did that to you with Freydis?” She spat as she walked away, bumping into aemond on the way out and frowned. “Let’s go take a walk.” She muttered, fuming.

Bill eventually made it back over to max seeing she was now sat on her own and sat next to her. “Please don’t pander to him. He will get the wrong idea and I don’t really want to deal with Ivar trying to win you over.” He muttered, pulling her in close.

Aemond raised an eyebrow and gave her a small nod feeling the anger radiate off her "Whats wrong?" He asked softly as he took her hand in his while they walked outside to the gardens.

Max cuddled up close to him and shook her head as she nuzzled his neck a bit "Don't worry love, I won't okay? No one is gonna win me over anyways, my heart belongs to you and you only." She said softly before kissing him gently.

He frowned and sighed a little. “I just… I don’t have the energy to get into it with him.” He muttered, spying the other two heading out the back door. “Dinner will be in half an hour.”

She frowned and took a deep breath before continuing. “Both of them. They’re awful awful people. My mother just feeds it and enables him and I can’t stand it.” She told him frowning and just gave his hand a squeeze tightly. “I love you. Did you have a good talk with u-“ she got cut off to his phone ringing with the number from the hospital, letting him answer it.

Max smiled some and gave a small nod "Then I will." She murmured before kissing his cheek gently smiling as she watched the children play "If we were to have children, how many would you want?"

Aemond listened intently to her but frowned hearing his phone go off. He answered quickly and listened to them before sighing heavily "Alright I'll be there, thank you." He murmured before hanging up "They would like for us to come up their tomorrow. Said it would be easier to explain in person than over the phone."

She just nodded and gave his hand a squeeze. “Then let it be tomorrows problem.” She told him quietly, walking with him until they got told that food was ready and she headed back inside to sit with him at the table.

Bill shrugged a little. “Maybe 3 maximum. I don’t think anymore than that is good for the children. Especially the eldest”

Max smiled some and gave a small nod "I think three is a perfect number." She murmured to him. She sat happily chatting with him until they were told Dinner was ready. She got up and helped him as well while they made their way to the table.

Aemond followed her inside once dinner was ready and made sure to sit away from her mother. He stayed quiet for most of the meal only really speaking when he was spoken to.

By the next morning bill was starting to feel a little more normal again and he smiled as he was being woken up bu max in her swimsuit. “You’re like a kid at Christmas.” He mumbled.

Carmen had left the other two a note plus sent max a text while they left to go get aemond seen to, just holding his hand tightly in the back of the taxi, worrying about him.

Max laughed happily and smiled wide at him "Come on, we got the house to ourselves. Lets go take a dip in the pool." She said happily before kissing him lovingly "Don't you like my new swim suit?" She teased

Aemond held her hand just as tightly giving a heavy sigh "I'm.....I'm sure everything will be okay." He said softly trying to reassure himself more than anything

He smoked and watched her. “It’s gorgeous. Give me a minute to wake up.” He murmured, squeezing her hand and slowly pulled himself together.

She frowned, not having an answer for that, paying the taxi once they arrived and walked straight in with him letting him get signed in, just rubbing his back gently while they waited until finally after a while someone called his name, standing up and following the nurse.

Max gave a small nod and kissed him gently moving to straddle him as he continued his smoke "How about I help you?" She murmured moving down further on him.

Aemond followed her into the room once his name was called. He sat down properly for once, his knee bouncing uncontrollably.

She sat back, taking his hand before he could start chewing his nails again, placing it where she could feel their baby moving and just watched his doctor, "What's happening? Cause whatever it is it would be good to get started on dealing with it now." She mumbled.

He groaned a little and gently pushed her away "Not right now love... Later on though." He murmured, getting up to find his swim trunks and finally got changed to go down with her

Max pouted but gave a small nod "Alright then, I'm gonna hold you to that." She said before taking him down to the pool.

His doctor gave a heavy sigh and pulled up his scans "We've found a mass." He said showing them where it was. He then placed the one takeb right after the accident "It was hardly detectable when the accident happened. We are pretty sure the concussion made things worse. As of right now its in a place we can do surgery."

He grumbled a little and followed behind her down to the pool, getting in and leaning back. “How the other half live huh? What we could do if we had the money they do.” He chuckled a little.

She frowned and turned to look at aemond. “What do you want to do?” She asked him quietly, squeezing his hand tightly

Max got into the pool and sighed happily. She swam over to him and gave a small nod "Mhmm, but its not like we struggle all that much." She murmured kissing him gently "Besides, this is a little to extravagent and big for me." She said wrapping her arms around his neck

Aemond took a deep breath as he listened to him staring at the X-Rays. He gave her hand a small squeeze and nodded some "Get me in as soon as you can. If the risk is low now, then we need to take it."

He smiled and watched her. “But it’s nice to be out in the country. Out in the quiet.” He murmured as he watched her. “It’ll be nice to get to Sweden tomorrow.” He murmured happily

She frowned and nodded, gripping his hand tighter, just watching him intently while the doctor went over everything with him, having zoned out in her worry for him.

Max nodded some as she listened to him "The peace and quiet is definitely a plus. I'm excited to see your mother, no doubt she'll love to see you." She murmured kissing him gently before swimming off.

Aemond turned to look at once he got everything situated with the doctor. He took a deep breath and gave her hand a small squeeze "Talk to me love. Don't bottle it in, its not good for the baby."

She frowned and just squeezed his hand, sick at the thought of his life and safety being in the hands of a doctor. “Let’s get home.” She mumbled.

He smiled and just sat near the edge, enjoying the soak while he watched her for a long while, eventually hearing the dog going mad and deduced that the others had got back. “Love… wait til they come to us.” He told her seeing as she was about to go see them.

Aemond gave a small nod and sighed heavily "They're the best in the country love. I'll make it through this." He said quietly before he got up to leave with her.

Max stopped when Bill told her to and nodded some "I hope he is alright." She murmured before going back over to him. She held him again and sighed softly "You ever want a full house? Not living in a condo?"

She was quiet the whole way home and went to get frokost a snack, going to aemond in his study then and just sat in his lap. “You should call your mother.” She told him.

He smiled and kissed her head. “You’re a nightmare you are. I don’t know how I cope.” He chuckled. “If I remember correctly I’m the one who said why don’t we just get a house instead of the apartment…. Have a place to ourselves now rather than waiting.” He reminded her.

Max laughed lightly and booped his nose "Oh you love me." She said before thinking some "Now that you mention it....I do remember that conversation, guess I didn't listen." She said smiling

Aemond got into his study and frowned deeply at her "Why should I? Its not like she'll care. She'll come up here and some how say its your fault."

She frowned and kissed his cheek. “She’s still your mother. Her problem is with me not you. At least give her a call to say hi.” She murmured, getting up to go get the dog walked around the gardens.

He smiled and shook his head. “Speaking of houses. Would you ever consider moving to here? Or Sweden?” He asked her quietly.

Aemond gave a heavy sigh but nodded and let her go off. He grumbled quietly to himself before he dialed his mother's number "Hello mother." He said quietly down the line when he heard it answer.

Max shrugged softly "I would have to sell the store, which I would miss, but I think if we found the right spot I could move here with you." She said happily before she swam to the steps and started to get out "Lets go get dried off and grab some brunch."
