Realistic or Modern Silver Valley High boarding school (open)

You have been Accepted to Silver Valley high a prestigious boarding school located in the Valley of Silver Creek California. You have recently discovered you have an ability your not sure what triggers it and you may not be sure what exactly it is but you know it exists and you know it makes you different. Your parents have informed you that they have been expecting you to develop you abilities however they don't say much more than that. Before you have time to ask questions they sent you to Silver valley high it seems normal on the outside only a select few know what really goes on inside this school. now you are left to learn to control your abilities and deal with the normal struggles of a school

it's lunch time and Max is hungry so he he goes to the cafeteria and stands outside the doors working through his daily routine of working up the courage of going somewhere with so many people so many minds screaming at him if he fails to shut it out and more importantly to him secrets being told to him without the okay of the people they belong to it was due to his telepathy he feared social situations


After standing their for five minutes convincing himself it will be okay and that he was going to stay under control and not freak out not look into anyone's head and so on over and over in his head and maybe occasionally out loud. He walked inside to go get his food as he walked in his head overflowed with thoughts he quickly grabbed his food and sat alone near a corner of the room attempting not to show anything as he was beginning to fear he would have a nervous breakdown in the cafeteria

Gail walked into the lunch room, a little flustered on how training went that morning. She was mad at herself for not being able to do anything right. As soon as she walked into the cafeteria, she noticed Max. I think I'll go say hi to calm me down, she thought. and so it began, her journey over to the table. Once she got there she sat next to Max with a smile, "Hey there," she said.

"Oh..Hi" he said looking over to Gail with a half smile than taking a bite of his lunch "Wheres yours?" he inquires gesturing towards the empty spot in front of her on the table."oh yeah you had practice with Mr. Steele this morning didn't you how'd it go" he asked excitedly Mr. Steele was about the only teacher he liked at the school so far probably because at some point every other teacher has thought something to put them on his bad side but Mr.Steele had this calm nature that just made Max feel comfortable.

"I don't want to talk about it..." She said. "It was horrible! He made me do things I couldn't even do!" She sighed and put her head down on the table in frustration. Her favorite teach we Ms. Connell, who was a counselor at the school. She helped Gail through tough times. Ms. Connell was also very gifted. She had the power to read minds and control people. Oh how Gail wished she could control her shadows and be like her.

" oh....umm I am sorry I am sure he wasn't trying to upset you just trying to help you control your powers." He said slightly upset that his friend was not having a good day he grabbed the half of his sandwich he hadn't eaten from and offered it to her as he usually offers her food. as he does he kinda nudges her with his shoulder " Hey at least your day can probably only get better" he said trying to cheer her up but clearly didn't believe his own words of encouragement.he was relieved that she was here cause whenever she was around he could hardly hear anyone else it was like she was the only mind in the world and while he would prefer to just not hear any besides his own one extra was better than a whole cafeteria

Gail smiled and pushed the food away with her hand, "No thank you, I'm not hungry." She said and her eyes began to sparkle a little bit with his encouraging words. She liked Max. He was a cool, laid back, friendly little boy. Her on the other hand, was a mess. Rude, mean, any word you can think of that is a synonym to rude or mean. At least they are two halves in a whole. That's what makes them friends, right?

"Ok more for me" Max said putting it back on his plate he loved eating if he can get his hands on food he will. He was happy his words were helping Gail, He could never understand why people didn't like Gail he had always thought she was great he just could't understand it he knew why people did't like him he was a freak that got into your head without permission but her she was beautiful he thought she was kind and I mean she is a hot mess but so are a lot of people right he thought to himself then he had an idea " I know what you need" he said with a i'm up to something grin on his face

Gail looked up at him strangely, "What's that?" She said. She was interested. Her rough day was starting to fade away as she thought about a mischievous plan plotted through her head. She thought that was what Max was talking about. "Let's hear it." She smiled a mischievous smile.

"you need a boyfriend!" he said jokingly but somewhat with meaning. " you know I am kidding unless?" he said looking at a boy from the corner of his eye. "you should go talk to him he's new so the others probably haven't gotten to him yet" he said quizzically looking at her than with a grin "or I suppose we could do that" he says with his usual I know what your thinking look


"but you should still talk to him"

Gail gently punched him in the arm, "I don't need a boyfriend! I am perfectly capable of being happy all by my self." She stated and crossed her arms as if she was angry. Then she laughed. "Maybe I'll talk to him later."

River soon walked into the lunch room a cold look on his face as usual as he looked around for a table to sit at before eventually finding an empty one and sitting down then smiling slightly to him self. "Wow every one truly is a jerk." He said as baciacly every one his age moved away or gave him nervous looks as he swirled his hand around sloely and a small ball of shadow appeared floating there before it turned to a dove and started to fly around him happily as he watched every one his eyes settling on a couple of little kids

Max smiled "you know I am joking Gail what kind of friend would I be if I didn't play a..."he stopped mid thought as he saw someone watching from the corner of his eye his head fell directly down looking at his plate staring River down as best he could he started eating again hoping Gail wouldn't address it
