Dice Shattered Streets, OOC

LoneSniper87 LoneSniper87 Not to be a jackass about this, but its a problem that you're going to have to find a way to solve. Its pretty important for me as a GM to be able to keep track of who has done what and how successful they were at their attempts.

Sara Sidereal Sara Sidereal While I normally applaud the creative use of a spell, be aware that you are using a Cantrip, so its probably not going to have the effect you think its going to have (which is to say, not at all). Kinda sucks and Rules As Written-y I know, but otherwise we'd have a level 0 spell punching well above its weight class, and Minor illusion is already one of the strongest Cantrips in the game.

Post will come in tomorrow. Remember what I mentioned before that, since everyone is trying to do multiple things at once (initiative AND a normal turn) those actions wont be counted until your turn actually comes up, at which point you'll have the option change your mind based on circumstance. Likewise any resources spent like Ki points or spell slots will be refunded if you decided to something different.

In case it's unclear, I'm not intending the spell to do damage or have any mechanical effect; only for it to be distracting.

Posting will be delayed as my computer being very slow.

This post took twelve minutes to type.

actually scratch that, her intentions are irrelevant. what happens is that she uses the "loud scream" option of the spell, and targets it near the orc's ear. the effects of the spell are up to your whim.

Do me a kindness and make the post? Even if t's just to quote your old one. It helps with the continuity of things in my head, even if it doesn't make sense in paper.

If you want for your turn you can. Keep in mind that you can't really hide casting by whispering. Otherwise that would obviate the benefit of Subtle Spell metamagic, as Spellcasting with a verbal component generally requires you to speak clearly and enunciate.

That said, you did turn a two on one fight in to a set of two one on one fights (three, technically). So that a plus.

Got it, that explains how she was detected the first time. I'll keep the action.

You made an awareness roll without specifying what you were trying to be aware of. Are you trying to notice something specific or just general alertness?

General alertness? Sorry I’m still pretty new to dnd, I thought doing a general perception roll was the norm.
