Shadow Princess [Closed]

Her eyebrows furrowed. He was making her angry again. Avoiding eye contact, she looked down before closing her eyes all together. Her arms that were already crossed became tighter, and her hands formed into fists. "You dare speak to a princess this way," Her voice rises, and becomes more demeaning as she opens her eyes to stare at him. She brings her arm out to slap him, but quickly moves them to her side instead. She is a princess, and she will not resort to physically fighting someone.

Her heart rate was rising, and she feared herself as it went faster and faster. Surely, he would break her. That is obviously what he is trying to do, or enjoys doing. What would happen to her then? If she attempted to attack him, her punishments would be far greater than this. She didn't want to be like him and resort to evil at times of desperation.

The shadow couldn't help but to smirk down at her. “You're no one, here.” He spoke truth. She had no power in the dark realm and her titles mattered little. The only reason why she had been brought to this place was because she held the power of the Triforce of knowledge, other than that she was no one to them.

“So strike me if you must, but your hand will not find it's mark.” he took another step forward, closing the gap between him and the princess, his shadowy visage now but a few inches from her Hylian pallor.

She frowned, and sat back down on the side of the bed. Her hands were placed gently on her lap, and she turned the opposite way of Dark. She didn't want to see him anymore, nor speak to him. The silence would eventually make her forget about his presence, and then she could figure things out. Surely, Impa would hear of her disappearance soon and come to her rescue if she cannot escape herself.

She wondered what time it was. She hadn't felt even the slightest bit tired, but it could be because she was stressed. Sleeping in this room would deem impossible anyways, as long as Dark was there with her. She had no trust in him at all, which is unavoidable in the first place considering he is from Ganon's descent. Ganon must have created him somehow, and anything he creates is only of pure evil. Evil that needs to be destroyed at once. Soon, Link would do what needs to be done.

For what seemed the longest time, the Shadow acquiesced to the Princess' stubbornness and stood in silence, leaning against the brickwork. He would wait until she did something interesting, or else something interesting happened. The World of Shadow so seldom had goings-on, and Zelda was, down here, the catalyst for change.

Suddenly, there came a great, solitary rumble. A tremor which made the prison cell tremble as if in fear and caused the Dark's ears to quiver. The rumble was soonafter joined by another, and another until the phenomenon was akin to a rhythmic earthquake. For once, the creature that tormented the Princess showed weakness - fear. He shook with the foundations, as if one with them; as if some presence commanded him and the room both into abject terror. It was Him.

"He is here..." the Dark whimpered on quavering voice. Surely enough, the quaking gave way to the accompanying sound of tremendous footsteps on stone, and as they drew closer a shadow began to form on the walls. Impossibly, it was cast from outside, but 'possibility' mattered little to the Dark Lord of the realm. As the presence beyond stopped and turned to the door, the silhouette became as clear as a Hylian day. Somehow darker than all else, the shadow resembled a man, but was somehow more. There was something of a beast about it - tusked, horned, and of immense size.

"Good evening, Princess." Even through it's thorough corruption, Ganon's booming countenance held inclinations of Gerudo speech pattern. Beneath the guttural growl and the porcine grunt that the twisted reflection of his lust for Power held, there lay the same King of Thieves - ever as charismatic, ever as driven by mortal desire... and ever as vengeful.

The sudden tremors that shook the ground caused Zelda to become more alert. When the ground stopped rumbling, she stood up. She heard loud footsteps coming from the never-ending hall, and turned towards the door in fear. She was shaking now, and she brought her hand towards her face unconsciously. Once the large presence became known, she went in shock. It was as if fear was a gas and was spewing from his skin. She couldn't move, and her breathing hitched. Eyes wide, she whimpered "Ganon..." She didn't expect him to come here. Usually she is brought to him, and then she has time to prepare herself. But now, even though she has been here for hours, she isn't prepared.

"What do you want with me?" She asked him, in a more stern voice. She began to collect herself, and not present herself as being so vulnerable and scared. She thought Ganon was simply keeping her locked up so she couldn't escape or try to fight back. Yet, Ganon stood only a few feet away from her now. He obviously needed something. Whatever is was, she didn't plan on giving it to him.

Dark Link's first thought was to climb up the wall and vanish through the first crack he could find. Knowing better, the shadow decided to stay where he stood, shivering and shaking like a dry leaf. That The King of Evil brought such fear through one of his own creations was not unheard of, he was a frightening guy and the shadow was not going to be the one to aggravate him.

“You dare to question me in my own realm?” The King's voice boomed through the halls and made the whole tower shake worse than the Shadow did. While the Shadow was thankfully aware, the Princess was not likely as lucky as to know how controlled Ganon's rage was. Like all things, he used it as a weapon; a tool – this one, to make her shiver. He enjoyed toying with her when the opportunity arose... but by now, had done away with the part of his hubris that tended to reveal plans. For one so undeserving of Zelda's piece of the Triforce, their encounters had made him wiser. Slowly, he turned his gaze to his minion, tired with the trite speeches the monarch of Hyrule so often gave about the futility of his plans.

Beneath the eyes of the King of Evil, The Shadow knew what he wanted without an utterance. He wanted - he ordered - Dark Link to remain silent, to not speak a word on Zelda's presence, and the Shadow would do as he was told.
