Tu'er Shen the Rabbit God
Seikatsu Mitsunari
As Kain took the lead to perform his ritual or what have you, Mistunari turned his attention to their partners. Both strange and unique in their own ways and surely they both brought their own set of skills to the party. If he had to guess he would say they were both frontline fighters which meant he might not have to do much when it came to combat. That worked perfectly for him because he didn't want to display his capabilities to these people.
While he was deep in thought, it was the glowing light that Kain had conjured that drew his attention back to reality. It seemed the young human was capable of performing magic and something that Mitsunari had never seen before. He had been hesitant to believe that Kain could communicate with the forest, but to see nature come alive the way that it did quickly changed his mind. Feeling the wind dance through his hair and tails, and hearing the animals responds was enough to convince him.
"Let's not fall behind." Mitsunari whispered to Oni before he started forward.

The Forest had sent them down a long, winding path that stretched on for quite some time and it seemed that they would walk in blinding darkness forever, but an ember of light in the distance struggled to break through the darkness. There was a low, rhythmic hum that resounded off of the trees and the scent of warm, fresh blood was carried on the wind. There were no sounds from the wildlife in the area and the village was so far behind the party that they could not hope to signal their location.
On the ground were footprints of large boots in the mud, worn tracks of those who came before. At least ten pairs of feet trampled this ground before our heroes came along and there was no telling how many more were up ahead. Someone with a keen eyes would also notice that many of the bushes were hosts to tattered pieces of fabric with patterns similar to the garments worn in the village.
"There are several scents up ahead, I can't tell how many though." Mitsunari announced as he moved a bit more cautiously now. His hand landed on Kain's shoulder, a subconscious response to the potential danger in the area. "Time to be more careful, Little One.' He urged before his eyes went to Hildegard and Oni.
"Should we proceed with stealth or use the element of surprise to rush our enemies?" As they got closer the group would see the source of light was a massive bonfire and although no victims could be seen, the smell of blood was stronger now. Around the fire stood ten men and women all dressed in dark red robes. Their chanting was impossible to drown out and the horned emblem on their garbs impossible to forget.
