Fantasy Seiunita OOC

PMs work. Oh. I guess I have about.... 110 years worth of history to cover.

If you count the locals, then it would go even further than that, Grim. It must be hundreds or even thousands years worth of history to cover. Cities underwater aren't built by themselves you know? But the sailors and soldiers of the different kingdoms who arrived here would form 30 years worth of history.

For the 110 years worth of history it would cover recent events leading up to the present.

Also, I think its important that I tell you now that I know only a little bit about the ocean world. In covering medieval societies on land I'm fine and can work with that, but when it comes to the sea... I'll just say that it'll be quite a challenge.

I may have a book regarding the Naval History of the British Isles but I've only read 30 pages of it!

That's kinda the point. I want to purposely leave the seafolk history vague in case the League ever falls.

You'll be working with me. I know a little bit about privateers during the Golden Age of Piracy.

So it will cover the merchants, pirates and other seafarers traveling to this island before all the Kingdom Fleets were shipwrecked here?

I know a little bit too... but read even less of them!

Hm.... Most people who made it before the League was formed either died or were integrated into the small village of humans already living there. And its okay! We don't have to base it off history.

Tell me what the local humans are like and we'll start off from there.

History's a good reference point for me and a test for realism, after all, nobody would believe something outrageous possibly happening in fiction if it didn't happen in real life!

You two polio hogs need any help with yous storytelling?

For me? Yes, I need your help, we need to come up with concepts for the Elysian Church. It needs further development and it must be approved by shadow so that all may be merry and that we all get what we want.

As for Grim, only if he/she(?) says yes.

Hm.... Want to take this into PMs in case it get swamped over later?

And I'm a guy. Its.... pretty clear.

Okay.
1) Polio should never be taken lightly.
2) Maybe. We'll need to see if your input is needed.

1) Polio is virtually nonexistent, or at the very least, in America it is.

2) I'm the best writer here, slightly experienced in seafaring, and my presence tends to incite awe. I bet you NEED my help, in fact, you DO need my help. Your brain just can't accept that powerful fact.

Still, any disease should be taken with a touch of seriousness. And not with that attitude of yours. Geez Ele. I knew you from before the reboot. When did your ego get so insufferable?

Evil church.

I'll get to a system later, and hopefully, we won't need to rip off from any, eh, real world religion.

You know, this is just an act. But, you could say I got like this when I became too skilled in writing. Power ruins everyone.

And, Grim, you need to appreciate the darker sides of humour.

Oh I appreciate it alright. As much as I enjoy making likable characters and then dragging them through proverbial shit and suffering.
Which is often btw. Not my proudest moment.

Damn, stop posting guys... my internet needs to load.

Its a long story.

And... it has to be accepted to shadow's tastes too.

... Eleph... come on... you're giving people a headache sometimes. You don't need to pop a few veins just

Why are your brains working so fast?

Huh, maybe I'm working so slow because I'm... A.) Feeling miserable about my life. B.) Not reading enough... yet. So I still have to keep reading.
C.) Fuck, I don't know! I can't think!

Hey its okay. Take your time. Writing is not something that can be forced. And you don't need to match other people's standards to be considered good. Besides, Writer's Block affects everyone.

No, its not like that. When something is bothering me, my usual response is to numb myself until it goes away. It helps me when I have to endure a tense moment or two without me having to directly confront it, but when I have to bring out my creative instincts to get started on a work of art which is the ultimate expression of human emotions... I have no emotions to share because of this... numbness of mine.

OR, it could just be that I'm tired...

OR maybe you're right and it IS writer's block.

This is the established ranks.

RANKS OF LUMINOSITY

THE RADIANT ONE - The “pope” of the religion. Are believed to be just as holy as the King/Queen if not more so. Considered as the voice of the Sun itself. This role is reserved for summer fae.

AURORANS - The priests of the religion though they rank above those who minister to the common folk. They often serve in noble households or work with the Radiant One. Mostly held by summer fae but some exceptional humans have become Aurorans.

PRIESTS - Needs a better name but these are the main ones you see in religious Nhouses officiating masses and ministering to the common folk.

FOLLOWER OF LIGHT - This includes everyone who doesn’t otherwise have a role. From the common folk to merchants to even nobility. Everyone is a follower of light

This is the common medieval ranks:

The Pope – The head of all religious activities in the medieval period.

Nunneries – These directed according to the guidelines of the Pope.

Abbot – They performed spiritual rituals for the kingdom but only after having considerations form either Pope or nunneries.

Prior – A prior always followed abbess for every action.

Monks – These were the holy priests
Obedientaries – These were lower level monks. These were further categorized as below –

Cellarer

Infirmerer

Hospitaller

Sacrist

Novices – They were quite more like lay brothers but quite more seniors.

Lay Brother – After completion of monastic schools, the children became lay brothers.

Oblates – These were children attending monastic schools.
