Suki shook her head, "I'll take her out the forest but then I'll be back" she said, unsure if she could even do that. As she began to head out, Hina followed, but then stopped seemingly unable to move further. Suki sighed, and looked down to Cooper "stay. Guard" Jack was already gone it seemed, and The Fruit Nepent headed back after it followed him a certain distance.


Suki sighed as it saw her and Attacked her. She leaped aside, and slashed at the Nepent quickly, sucking in and out. as she killed it, the fruit on its head opened and 50 or 60 little Nepents spilled out.


"oh. fantastic"

Jack sighed and said," Wasn't their a part on the requirements that you either had to fight or run from the hoard. I guess we found the hoard. I'll be up in the trees giving you covering fire and watching your back. He the pen equipped his bow and quickly climbed the tree and began to take out the Nepents around Suki. As long as he could see what was happening he knew he could find a way out of this.

 

[Caits]

Suki put aside the fact that Large Nepents with fruits on their head spewed little Nepents when they were killed. She began to wreck havoc on the Nepents around her, not even bothering to keep count, just attacking them until they disintegrated into data pieces, slowly working her way through them, keeping an eye on her health. She twisted and dodged attacks using Her acrobatics skill and speed, and managed not to take too much serious damage.

When they had killed the last one he sighed and was breathing a bit heavily, but he smiled and said," Well that was a good work out don't you think?" he then chuckled and walked over to suki and patted her on the back and said," You did good even with shabby equipment." he then chuckled and sheathed his sword and was surprised by how many items and col they had gotten. He then smiled and checked on Hina.

Suki took a few seconds to catch her breath, Cooper running up to her eagerly and jumping up, pressing against her leg. She smiled and patted him. "We did well, boy" she nodddd to Jack "it's all about your skill, although the durability on this sword probably sucks now" she said, following him to hina.


She smiled at the girl, who seemed okay, and she offered her hand to the girl "let's take you back to your dad" she smiled, and led the way out of the place

She was right his sword was almost broken, but hey at least they had gotten the most out of it with all this loot. He grinned and when they reached the town he looked over at her and said," We need to figure out how we are going to split the mission rewards ya know." He chuckled and grinned a bit as he looked around the town and saw that the crowds have died down.

 

[Caits]

"I want the knives. You can have the rest" Suki said without hesitation, "We split the money though" She said, looking about the town as well, and was relieved to see the lower crowd. She trotted over to the blacksmith's shop, Hina in tow, and Cooper looping after her, but in a more comfortable manner as they were in the safe zone.


Sasamaru was more the gracious, and scooped Hina into his arms, cradling the girl to him. Suki smied, accepting her gear back, which had been restored perfectly. She looked to Jack and smiled.

Jack smiled and took the rest of the reward an and placed it in his inventory and split their earnings in half which was still a good bit for both of them.He then smiled at Suki and asked," So what type of enchantment does that thing got jave anyway?" he then smiled as they left and leaned om the wall

Suki put away the throwing knives, said goodbye to Hina and sasamaru, heading out the shop after Jack, she picked up Cooper, and he seemed happy enough to stay in her arms. She thought for a minute, shifting Cooper and examining her Rapier, "I increased the durability and power of the weapon, giving it a more powerful attack"

Jack grinned and said," Now that will come in handy." He then chuckled and looked away for a bit and then when he looked at her he sighed and asked," Hey you mind if we break from our party Suki. I have a few things I need to take care of and it's really just a one person job." He then rubbed the back of his head unsure of how she would respond.

 

[Caits]

Suki sighed softly, and then nodded, "Alright then" She said, looking aside, as if she were merely examining Cooper for any injuries. She looked up after a minute then smile, "Go, do whatever you have to" She set Cooper down, "I'm going to get some food" She said, looking about them for a food place

Jack nodded and then dissolved their party and said," I'll see you around." He actually lied to her. He was going to the dungeon to find the boss no matter how long it took. He then began his search after he left the party and it took him about a month to find it. So he returned to the town closest to the dungeon and thought about how he would get everybody to work together to beat the boss.

 

[Caits]

Suki hadn't been idle the weeks since being on her own again. She and Cooper had trained hard undertaking quests and fighting monsters. As Suki in skill and level throughout the game, so did Cooper, growing larger and stronger. He now reached halfway between her knee and hip, and his brown and white fur seemed to becoming shaggy.


Right then they were working together to clear a level of the boss's labyrinth, fighting ruin kobloids and generally making good progress.

Jack then decided to see if he could just fight the boss on his own. He was level 27. and it was a well earned level thirty. He then headed back inside the dungeon and picked off enemies from afar with his bow and used his map he had made to find his way back. He was halfway there when he heard fighting just a head of him. He then went to where he had heard the commotion and smiled when he saw copper and suki. He then chuckled and notched his bow with three arrows and held it sideways to hit and kill three kobloids.

 

[Caits]

When Cooper have a low growl, Suki extended her senses, her detection skill telling her a player was behind her. She relaxed slightly, especially when Cooper let off in the growling and narrowly missed being skewered by one of the arrows.


She and Cooper finished off the rest of the Koblods, and she turned around, intent on giving the player abuse for being so careless, when she saw that it was Jack. Surprise flittered across her face, "Jack"

Jack smiled as he saw the familiar face and holstered his bow and walked forward and said," Hey Suki long time no see." He then grinned and leaned on the dungeon wall and said," Sorry for almost hitting you I wasn't really paying that close of attention of how close you were." He then scratched the back of his neck and chuckled softly a bit more. He then petted cooper.

 

[Caits]

"You're lucky I'm fast" Suki said, "where have you been? It's been days! I've watched people on my friends list fade away, and you've been missing!" She sighed, watching as Cooper happily licked Jacks hand.


"What are you doing here by yourself? It's the bosses labyrinth!" She exclaimed

Jack chuckled and leaned against the wall and said," I should be asking you the same thing, he then smiled and walked towards her and said," But hey I am glad you are still alive and kicking. Jack then placed a hand on her shoulder and said," and it has been a few weeks I think even a month since we last saw each other.

 

[Caits]

"I'm never alone. I have Cooper" Suki said softly, glancing down at the large dog monster, who looked up at her with a goofy grin. "He's good company. We protect each other" she bit her lip, thinking still poking st Cooper.


She events sighed, looking up "why did you leave, and for so long?"

Jack sighed and said," I was still uncomfortable with being in a party even if it was just with you." He then walked to the corner of the room and looked around it and saw no monsters, but a good bit of traps. He then said," You are looking for the boss aren't you?"

 

[Caits]

"Not at all" Suki said seriously, "I just thought I needed a vacation" She smiled and shrugged, "Of course I am. I want to help people, and I want to lead the way to getting out of here. If it taks me years, I'll do it. There's a lot of information out therre about the boss, but mostly, people are too scared to try at the moment. Apparenntly several people have tried, and died" She sighed, "So I'm going to try. I'm going to be careful. I've trained my alchemist skill, and have a lot of health potions. I have Cooper. I have speed. I have my brain. So why not try?"

Jack smiled at her and said," Well it takes more than just one person to beat the boss. I should know me and a lot of the other beta testers had to team up to take on these bosses." He then chuckled as he said," Besides we probably be a bit overwhelmed if it was just the two of us."

 

[Caits]

Suki bit her lip and sighed "but this is the boss to the next floor, and people are scared and worried. I've tried to get people to join me, but that didn't get me that far" she said, with another sigh


"So if I have to fight it alone, I will. I am not going to die in this game"

Jack just looked at her and chuckled a bit and said," Your as headstrong as ever, but if you are serious about this who am I to stop you." he then said," well at least let me come with you to help beat the boss. Having another person is better than having no one else to help you/" he then smiled softly at her.

Suki nodded "alright" she said "but I told you. I'm never alone. I have Coop. But thank you" she said, lookingg about them "we should continue onwards. Do you have enough health potions?" She asked, ready to give him some of he needed them. "I have a good idea where the boss is, so whenever you are reDy"
