SAO- Land of Elements Online

"Right." Bowing politely to the man, having taken pity on him and bought a five-currency, it said core or something, fruit she walked over to Vlad, placing said apple in her inventory for later use. These buildings with signs... yes, she could see that they were stores now. "Impressive.... they're all around here." Even if one or two were separated by regular houses. Hmmm.... that meant that this was probably the beginning market, and wouldn't have anything too fancy or expensive. "Inflation might be a problem...."

"it might be....but i have the money for it..." Vlad said entering one of the stores with swords above it, and started browsing through the swords, hand on his chin and the other holding his elbow. his eyebrows went up at some of the prices, and stats on some of the weapons.

She followed behind him, taking her time. Knowing nothing about weapons and stats she instead looked around for something she could use for self-defense... even if it was lower quality than her bow. Eventually she found a pair of twin swords, short but fast... flexible movement would be encouraged by them. And it didn't hurt that they looked good... and here she shook her head. No, now wasn't the time for admiring it's looks, now was the time for looking for something she could learn to use.

"this one looks nice, goes with my armor's ability...." Vlad says as he buys a sword, fairly expensive to... and equips it. then he looks over at Saphire eying a pair of twin swords. looking at the price he wistled. "those are some nice swords..... you have the money for it?" he asked.

"Sadly, no." A soft sigh, her turning away from it. "I've only got around 200 core. Not enough to buy them." One day... "I really need something for when the enemies get up close, though...." And unfortunately those seemed to be the only ones she saw. Walking over to the shopkeep, "Do you have something for someone closer to a beginner in the twin swords?" The shopkeep took a thoughtful pose, and left the room. A soft sigh.... Well, if I don't have a proper up-close weapon then I won't be able to move on, with quests like those. And I need to test the game, with my job... since that'll be a test of our new TsukiCapsule.

"here i got you." he says as he hits the buy button, then trades the swords over. "ive got a surplus of money... so i dont mind sharing." he explains as he watches for her expression.

First, she stared in surprise at the window that popped up. Then she touched the o.k button... and then she looked up at him. For barely a few seconds what could have been a smile came across her face, but it faded quickly enough that it could easily be missed. A bow, "Thank you very much," And she set them so they were next to her bow in her inventory, specifically the weapons section. The store manager bowed, asking if there was anything else the two wanted to buy.

"no... i think ive finished...anything else you want? its on me." he said turning to saphire, pleased to see her smile.

"Not at the wea- wait, do we need to buy arrows?" She could maybe afford ten or twenty, but... that depended on how expensive or not the weapons were. A quick check of her inventory, and... she was confused. There was nothing about the quiver in her weapon's information, and yet.... oh, there it was. Why is it in my equipment section? She needed to buy forty arrows for a full quiver. "Yeah, I need to buy arrows."

"well how many do you need?" Vlad asked already looking for the arrows in the shops menu.

"For a full quiver I need forty." She said, shrugging slightly. Obviously he was the generous type, and probably had all of the funds that were going to be given to her. Or the money was a gift. Or something. Not that it mattered, she was going to be getting something and that was all that mattered to her at the moment. If the two of them were to meet again then she would make sure to pay him back for this day. "Thank you."

"hey your welcome" he says as he buys the arrows and sends them to her. "if we get into another fight, were gonna need you at full power... which reminds me!" he says as he begins tapping on his menu. a pop up appears in front of her saying "accept party invite from Vlad?"

Reminds him about wha- oh, that. The screen flashed in front of her for a few seconds, but she shrugged and pressed the circle button. Vlad. That's his name... I'll keep it in mind. And now that she had the familiar weight of arrows on her back she shrugged and stretched. " Right... time to get to our next store. Can we stop by the armorer? I need to get easier shoes to walk in." Everything else she'd let herself get by drops, but sandals were not something you wanted to wear on your way through a field.

"alright. i wouldnt mind trying to change my armor color out of this gastly red...." HEY!!!!! as he walked out of the store and heading down the street to a store with a shield above it.

She shrugged, "It kinda fits you... draws attention to your opal eyes and hair." The shimmering of his hair in the dark, nighttime area was kinda reminiscent of the night. Not that she knew if blue would have fit him or no, though. He was... well, he was himself... and black may look good on him, but it was kinda depressing.

"really. well maybe ill keep it then..." eh we'll look once we get to the store." as he walked in and started looking for dies. find what you want and ill get it. i think the game recognized previous accounts and i now have a surplus of money...."

A look of surprise, and the a shrug. "That may be. If so I'd not be surprised if the money suddenly disappeared, they probably want to fix bugs as unobtrusively as possible." Not that she was entirely sure how that worked, but whatever. Into the building, and she started looking around... something that didn't obstruct her kimono, like a long boot pair, would do... how lucky that she found exactly that, white and blue, that went up to her knees. "I think I want this one..." She, of course, hadn't payed attention to the stats or price, so the idea that it was low-quality hadn't even crossed her mind.

"hmmm....." he said looking at the pair she was looking at. "wouldnt you want a pair like those?" he said pointing to a similar pair with much better stats.

Well, he was suggesting something, and was actually a better player than her. "If you think that's a better choice, then certainly." She resolved to look into these stats, since the numbers actually meant something. Which meant more research, and more information to sort through.... and more effort. Well, it's important to her work, and it's not like she really had anything better to do, so she was willing to do it. Not that it mattered.

"alright." he said buying the pair and trading them over. "by the way, what do you think of these colors?" he asks as he pulls up the preview menu and sets his main color as black, and his secondary as red, so his armor was a deep, shiny, black, with half inch red lines on the edges of all the plates.

"Looks good, actually." She said, looking it over. It was kinda attractive, and it's not like he couldn't actually change it again, if he wanted to. "Though, I'm not sure if you'll like it over time, since..." Shrug, and then she set about equipping the boots, sandals and socks replaced with socks and boots that rose to her knees, but luckily her kimono wasn't ruffled... or that's how it was designed.

"since what?" Vlad said as he hit the accept button.

there. i kept some of the red.

hmph. i kind of liked the primary red you know....

just like me. has to have the black. ^^

"well, since everyone decides they want some things different over time." She told him, shrugging and testing her movements. Yes, the armor wasn't perfect.... and still heavier than she expected, but she'd get used to the weight over time... and that was enough for her. At least she could walk and run now, rather than just kinda shuffle along. Never been too comfortable in those high-sandals.

"well I've always been fine with the color choices.... i just couldn't do that much red." Vlad said. "and weren't you wanting potions?"

She nodded, "I don't have that odd health-recovery thing you do, so I want to have at least a few of them on hand, in case things get dicey like before." Live and learn, she knew. She turned towards the door, looking over at him, "And even if you have health... whatever magic you may end up using might drain your mana a lot, so I'd grab a few of those as well." Always be prepared... "Actually, if there are status ailments....." Were there? No, yes... huh? That'd need to be discovered over time as well.
