Saga of the Seven Sins - The Second Cycle

Hey guys sorry for the silence on my part, I changed apartments during the last week and I just got my internet back. Long story short, I've decided an Abyssal will be a bit too hard to incorporate, so I'm going with a Night caste solar. More details to come, crunch is coming up nicely and I'll have a backstory for you to see very very soon.

Ooh, we actually have a genuine Solar in our mixed game.

If Opal dies and we're allowed to re-roll in I think I have an awesome idea for an Abyssal.

As I have looked over my sheet, I have come to the conclusion that I have spread my Charms to thin by picking up the CMoS up to the Form Charm. So, I have decided to drop that for future purchase (maybe) and have put those Charms into my Sapphire Veil Style. That style also works a lot better with Dreaming Pearl Courtesan Style.

I'm definitely making an Abyssal dead set on using Void Circle Necromancy to sever the intimacies the Neverborn have for Creation and drop them, the Labyrinth, and herself into Oblivion, leaving the Underworld relatively safe. She's a Loyalist Abyssal who has stared into the deepest depths of their souls, and come to the conclusion that they only believe they need to destroy Creation to end their suffering and enter Oblivion. They are as blind as the Yozis, perhaps moreso, and it is her privilege to be able employ Necromancy, the purest form of their will and a direct interface to their souls, to take the steps to free them which they themselves cannot possibly envisage.

She'll arrive with one of those artefact slave collars and a custom artefact that gives someone else graded control of when she can use her powers (Personal motes only/no Necromancy/no mote expenditure/etc) as a gesture of good faith in an effort to convince the party she can be trusted to use the Sins to complete a Necromantic working to save the world and absolve herself. She'll also have an artefact that takes a quantity of blood from a child and transforms her into a child for a period of time, and spend most of her time like that to hide from herself, replenishing at each village. If actually deployed in combat she'll have absolutely no concept of proportional response, and will summon Hekatonkhire or massive armies of the dead to fight bandits or village militia, or otherwise solve the problem as brutally and expeditiously as possible.

She'll get to say fun things like, "I'm an apocalyptic doomsday weapon soon to expend itself to save Creation; can't I stay and play for five more minutes? Pleeeeeease?" and "It is often thought that Necromancy can do nothing but harm Creation; This is almost correct, but dangerously naive and evidence of an incomplete understanding of its nature. Directly applied it can do nothing but harm Creation - applied indirectly and judiciously, however, it can and will save it. Which is to say, I pinky swear that if you let me have my Necromancy back I'll only scare Billy a little bit and he totally deserves it."

Poor Billy. He had it coming.

I got a mechanics question for our illustrious ST. I am looking to see if I can combine the effects of two different artifacts into a single one for a cheaper cost. I want to have a 3 dot Infinite Resplendence Amulet and a 4 dot Cloak of Vanishing Escape. I would like to have it come out to a united cost of 5 dots. Thoughts?

Haha, I had never read Sapphire Veil of Passion Style before. If Darian fought Opal at the Heptagram or elsewhere it seems extremely probable I've got an intimacy of Lust towards you, which means at Compassion 5 I'm almost completely incapable of fighting you when you have Sapphire Veil of Passion Form up. Opal is going to have to vehemently deny she's attracted to a Sidereal, but still become flustered and distracted any time you're close to her.

Oh, thats just beautiful! In love with Viktor, but secretly lusting after Darian! Ha!

You realize this means war almost certain to end in mutually assured destruction, yes? A Sapphire Veil of Passion Stylist challenging a Lunar who can Pretty Kitty up to 18 Appearance and could buy Terrifying Lust Infliction to a sexual tension-off is a recipe for neither of us being able to remain in the same room for more than a few seconds. We'll have to make a mortal pass messages to have an argument.

I think this campaign is rapidly approaching a competition to see who can commit all of the sins before we find all of the Sins. Or the first Sin.

Well, I've got Pride, Greed, and Envy, we've doubled up on Lust, and it's a poor Exalt indeed who doesn't have a few moments of Wrath... Sloth is gonna be the tough one, really.

...did I mention that when Viktor starts spawning his own Third Circle Devas, I was planning to base the first seven on the Sins?

I think if you get Opal drunk enough she can do a mean Sloth. She's definitely got Pride, Greed (Secrets), and Wrath. Getting drunk enough to get her to Sloth probably counts as Gluttony. She had Envy when Amirah was alive, but now she's lost that one. Darian has kindly supplied Lust. I'm one away from winning!

Those sound like some fun demons.

C'mon, c'mon, I'm excited to get this started! I'll finally get to use my custom Shintai right out of the box, and Seeker, I'm gonna hold you to that promise to give me an army burn with it!

He's a Night Caste. You didn't expect his character sheet to be visible, did you? Misfiling the Metaphysical Manifest Approach is the first Bureaucracy Charm every good Night Caste should learn.

If we start he'll be there - watching, unseen. Then at some point he'll appear; Darian and Renost will make it so he always was, and no one will be the wiser.

<innocent blink> Whatever do you mean? How can you say that you don't trust the Sidereals? We are here for you!

I'm jealous of all the shiny high dot Artefacts around. I think I'll upgrade my rather mundane Smashfists to something more fun. I want gloves that let me pickpocket secrets from people's minds. Sleight of Mind? Maybe steal some of the low level Quicksilver Hand of Dreams ideas, especially the 'cause the target to hallucinate things' attack. That's always fun. I don't want crazy bad touch, though, so in combat effects should probably only trigger if at least one damage die is rolled.

Sorry guys, I know you're all waiting for me it's just been crazy busy lately, I promise I'll have something to show today.

Here's a few details of my character, he was a the son of a rich guild member and slave trader from Nexus. One fateful day the caravan he was traveling with was attacked, his family killed and ironically enough he was sold into slavery. He spent a couple of years as a slave, changing ownership a few times until he was brought along by his master down south. It was during this years where he saw the worst humankind has to offer. One day he escaped his master's home and drifted into the desert where he was found by a group of elite clan of assassins who took him into their care, teaching him and treating him as one of their own. Years later, he came to excel at their training, and guided by the lessons in life he had learned to this point, took a massive decision that changed his life forever, aware of the ruthlessness of the assassins he grew up with, and of the vice in their hearts, he destroyed the clan and Exalted in the process.

Taking on a new name and identity, he would cease to be a mere human, an individual, but rather strive to become an ideal, a symbol that would endure. He now wanders the land as a black crusader, putting fear into the hearts of evil men and women, knowing he's hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike at the root of Creation's corruption.
