@Lord\-Leafar it occurs to me that we stick out like a sore thumb and are likely the most interesting thing in all of Gem to an Exalt. You speak Old Realm so you know we've been discussing things beyond mortal ken, specifically assassinating your target, and you can probably see all the Artefacts Viktor and the Sidereals are carrying. Saif might have seen or overheard us and decided to tail us - it's virtually impossible we aren't connected to any important event in some way. You don't need to worry about the ST informing you your character detected us, we weren't exactly being surreptitious so I'd say it's safe to assume. ( ;) )
 
Yeah I was gonna ask you guys if it was ok for me to kinda tag along in the shadows, I was hoping to find some kind of lead on our target, but since there's nothing to find, Saif will keep a low profile for now.
 
Fuck, that's not fair (:'(). I think she had a good chance of winning against Renost. Then Darian was going to mop the floor with poor Opal. ( :P )
 
Opal wouldn't be amused, either - or at least not before the part Viktor will really take issue with. Unless I'm misreading Darian, she fully intends to try to use the Charm that makes Opal into her loving, obedient slave. If Viktor doesn't like the idea of someone else punishing his pet Lunar, he'll hate someone else putting a collar on her. I certainly wouldn't dream of denying Sherwood a chance to use the hilarious fancy Charm Darian invested a lot in purchasing.


That does bring up another point, though. Sapphire Veil of Passions, Laughing Wounds, Black Claw, etc appeal to my sense of humour (And apparently to someone at White Wolf's too given how many examples of this there are), and I enjoy the challenge of playing out UMI, but if exploring the inevitable ramifications of actually using Sapphire Veil of Passions Style makes anyone the least bit uncomfortable just PM me or something and I'll keep it to an absolute minimum.

To clarify, I don't have a problem with UMI... at least not when I'm playing a greedy, egomaniacal tyrant-in-the-making. But in this case, it would be stealing. And we all know what happens to thieves... (} :) )
 
Cool. I would love to see Darian go full bore against someone with her MA Charm set.

I suppose I could begin by demanding that she be released immediately... if not, well, then Viktor and Darian have a problem.
 
Haha, the funny part is Darian can't release me once she uses it. Opal has to free herself, and it will take a minimum of a few days if I remember correctly. She has to want to, as well.


Sherwood was referring to the duelling thread, though, I'm fairly certain.
 
I was saying that it would be cool to go up against another tough opponent with my MA Charms and see just how good they are in a real fight.
 
We had a dueling thread in the last incarnation of the game where my character did pretty well, but ended up tossing in the towel before I was completely taken down. I suspect that Darian is going to do a bit better in an OCC fighting thread.
 
Huh, that's odd. I remember your Lunar being the most dangerous fighter there. STPCs not included, of course. ( :P )
 
As dangerous as she was, she still got her ass kicked, even with her DVs being so high as they were.
 
Now I'm terribly curious to know what sort of convoluted scheme Darian would have come up with to steal Opal without Viktor noticing. That also sounds hilarious. Especially since Opal would suddenly remember having been happily together with Darian for years or decades. Darian would have to convince Opal they were playing some sort of elaborate prank on Viktor, in which she pretended to be antagonistic. Or go the other way, and convince Viktor their being antagonistic was just a game? Then you'd have to contend with Opal talking about any of the things she remembers that never happened. Whatever it would have been it was sure to derail the plot even further. ( ;) )
 
If we have a OOC sparring match, I am willing to stipulate that no one has a Intimacy to Darian that will cause someone to have minuses starting out. Once the fight is on and if I use one of my Charms that instills such a Intimacy, I will also stipulate that it will not last on past the sparring match.
 
I was just reassuring everyone that you won't all be stuck with an unnatural infatuation with Darian. Your lustful desire for her will be all natural.
