Saga of the Seven Sins - The Second Cycle

With 15 successes there's no way for Opal to NOT win. But ther will be a... very funny scene for you guys coming up. It involves people pissing their pants in terror.

Haha, Viktor can't combine his pool with mine and play his hand. That either gives us two chances of winning or two chances of losing, depending on how it's interpreted. If you combine your pool with mine you're backing out for this hand. Sentiment appreciated, though, and a good plan if you care more about the amulet than just winning ( :P ).

UMI still requires a roll, you're just allowed to keep using it after the target has resisted with WP in that scene, and if they resist they know it's supernatural.

Of course, his MDVs may be so low you're just assuming you win.

Yes, I was kind of assuming that. I'll edit in a roll though.

Lord-Leafar, heading for Marlon is my next plan as well, once we get done with the cranky merchant dude. Not to step on your toes, just saying so we avoid working at cross-purposes too much.

You managed to steal it. He doesn't know that he lost the trinket. But I'm guessing you stole the memory after Viktor told him to talk.

Oops, sorry, I wasn't clear. I didn't want to make him forget anything, I wanted to see the memory he had of receiving the amulet. I'm not commuting the 4m to prevent him from recalling it.

Oh, lol, yeah. 130 kph is way more than sufficient. I wasn't even going to be moving all that fast, just as directly as possible and therefore likely over rooftops and obstacles. I can either do it dematerialized for stealth, or materialized but hard to pay attention to so you can follow. Or we can let the Sidereals fate-fu the problem.

I like my force field of counterattacks that I can turn into flying kicks. As well as the charm that makes all of my attacks come from surprise while my defense halves attack successes(7-9) or perfectly defends(10) based on rolling 1d10 each defense for the scene. D: It's not broken at all, I promise! /sarcasm

Seriously though, if nothing else, the +6 to your MDVs as a result of being a shadow finger should be well worth it alone.

130 Mph. IF you're using metric, it's more like 209 kph. ;) Now, about Renost's offer... fuckin' Sidereals, how do they work?

*looks up Throne Shadow Style*

The first bits don't seem too bad, much less puppeteery than I remembered, though Viktor isn't crazy about the name, just on general principles... I can't seem to find Secret Lesson Revelation in the Scroll of Errata?

Opal is against learning from a Sidereal on principle, especially if Darian is involved. She doesn't think hunting down an errant mortal requires any training whatsoever. She'll come if Viktor asks her to, but grudgingly. If Renost beats her she might take studying under him seriously.

Do we want to just get to Marlon, or do a training montage first?

I'd kinda like a sparring fight scene, though I warn you this character's kit for combat is brutal.

Haha, I believe you, and I don't care if Opal loses. Losing is great for character development, and this wouldn't be the first time she lost to a Sidereal. There's just no way she believes she needs the help of a Sidereal to do anything, or wants anything with a name like 'Shadow Fingers' anywhere near her or Viktor. If Viktor wants it, though, she'll try to convince him otherwise but probably won't try to stop him ( :P ).

Heads up, just for your information Marlon will be attending the tournament tomorrow. If you interrupt right now you're going to face some very... difficult opponents.

Given that every other player thinks I'm less broken than they are, Marlon had best be having tea with the First and Forsaken Lion if he wants to throw down with all four of us. I think Opal could go toe to toe with the FaFL alone and escape to tell the tale. ( :P )

Do we want a serious fight or a play fight?

I Only consider myself more broken than Opal in a situation where I can use my shintai. Other than that, she'd probably win in a 1v1. ;)

And upon a closer look... Viktor actually might be interested in learning Throne Shadow. Having his szmiya and DBs get a boost to their martial arts and MDV wouldn't' be bad, and the Form is a nice defense for those situations where turning into a gigantic dragon is inappropriate. I'll have to think about it.

It's... complicated. I used Demon Emperor and Heuristic Logos as the balance point comparisons, so it's pretty powerful, with a ton of prereqs and al ot to keep track of.

Basically, it turns me into a gigantic dragon, which boosts my soak and damage by a lot, and makes my fire-breathing charm free and affect a larger area. There's more, but those are the main draws.

All of my custom charms can be found here, if you're interested: https://www.rpnation.com/threads/devil-tiger-baal-shazash.50548/

Oh, thanks. Sounds impressive. Opal would indeed have a hard time dealing with that. She can't fly once her Anima is flaring, and her ranged attacks aren't Overwhelming. She would probably just dive and it would be a draw. Unless there was some way to jump onto you.

Renost is walking around at Appearance 8 with no Resplendent Destiny? People must be fainting in the streets, then promptly forgetting why ( ;) ).

Oh wow. I just read Renost's Martial Arts Charms. This fight is going to be hilariously silly and possibly epic. I have no idea how it's going to work out, and a lot of it is going to depend on how @Seeker of the End interprets arcane interactions between terribly worded Charms. Stay tuned for this climactic battle of rules-lawyering, in true Sidereal fashion. (> :D )
"It's on you if we break anything, then," she laughs as she follows Renost to his Manse. "Speaking of which, what are the rules of this dance? I assume it's a given we don't pull out anything apocalyptically destructive, but if you break Creation first am I permitted to retaliate in kind?"
You mind if I quote you on that?
