RWBY: The Years Before: Shadow of Grim

"Nah. Don't worry about it Silas." Sward began to walk to the library to research about the emerald forest as much as he could as well as a few other things. He looked back at Silas for a moment before continuing walking forward. "Do you wanna join me for a bit of research before heading back to our friends? After all we'll have quite a busy day tomorrow." Sward asked as he continued his way to the library wity many things on his mind. Well this was quite a day, and it's not even over yet. Sward then opened the doors to the library. Who knows what other surprises Beacon has left to offer. Things were already quite lively.

As Sward scanned the shelves he gathered quite a collection of books. One about the emerald forest. Two books about fighting styles for offense and defense as well as a book about the rumors of the white fang. He could hear a few things from the students about what he did in the cafeteria as he picked his books but Sward didn't pay them much of mind. He then took his books and sat across on a separate table across from a fellow student who was looking at a book about the different kinds of Grimm. Interesting choice Sward thought to himself.

Curve made it to the library. Thankfully he didn't run into anyone there, and thankfully not Locke. His unrulyness set Curves teeth on edge. But it was fine, he'd only be stuck with him tomorrow. And the day after that. And the day after that... Curve shook his head slightly. 'Happy thoughts Curve, happy thoughts. Gummy bears.' That, at least brought the closest thing to a smile that had graced his lips in six years, a slight, straight grimace. It didn't linger, and Curve pushed open the door to the library.

The library here had alot more books than shade academy. Shelves upon shelves of books, some so high you couldn't reach. This didn't mean alot to Curve, for not only was he a little on the short side, he needed particular items, not a thousand and one usless pages. Looking down the combat section, Curve ran a hand along the shelves. "Mm. Weapons... Blades... Firearms." Curve had found what he was looking for. The Storage and Inner Workings of Collapsing Firearms, the title read. Curve looked at his necklace for a few seconds. There was a reason he never used the gun part of his weapon. It only was able to shoot six bullets, and it had no storage space for more. Maybe he could find a way to attatch a feed magazine to his weapon somewhere protected. Somewhere where it couldn't be shot and prematurely detonated. Looking at his necklace again, he reasoned that maybe he had outdid himself. It was a pretty small thing, and it unfolded to a blade, the chain a chestplate. He was probably expecting too much of himself. Curve's mouth turned slightly downward with that thought. There was always room to improve. Always.

Coming out of the shelves, he went to check out his book. He found Sward sitting with another guy. Big. Powerful. Someone you could stand behind and not get hit by the shotgun spread aimed at the both of you. Curve respected the size of the guy. He nodded up at Sward to acknowledge his prescence, then did something he rarely did. Walking by, Curve glanced at the book. The giant was looking at the profile of a king Taijitu. Curve ClaBMped over and tapped a finger on the page.

"You're studying the wrong species. Those should be easy to down for someone your size." Curve flipped a page of the book to a section about creeps. "Those travel in packs. Kind of like Beowulves. But they're ten times faster, and have claws twice as big. Anyone without a ranged fighter covering their back would get overwhelmed." He expected the guy would understand, some friendly advice from one warrior to another. He'd look forwards to seeing the giant fight in the future. Curve nodded once, then turned to leave for the check out counter.

Asher was busy thinking about some things involving cabbage but Sward had managed to grab Asher's attention when he sat down. The green looking fellow seemed friendly enough and Asher raised his right eyebrow for a second to let him know he saw him and isn't offended by him sitting there. He was just about to look back down at his book when a less puny man tapped on his book. He saw the King Taijitu and almost cringed, he didn't remember even flipping the page. He shook his head from how zoned out he was. He listened to his fellow "large person" when he spoke, giving him some tips on what kind of monsters he should be fighting. Asher could only think of a bad joke as a response, and he said it. "Wait, am I really that fat? Maybe I should diet." He gave a very forced, almost painful looking smile to Curve. "Name's Asher." He held out his fist for a fist bump, face now expressionless.

Curve stopped in his tracks, he honestly didn't expect the giant to respond. "Nice to meet you as well." He replied, tring to give Asher a handshake, committing a braux paus, but eventually managing to get his knuckles to touch Ashers. "Curve." He said, nodding his name. "The one across from you is Sward. We're partners." Curve decided to sit down next to Asher, the matter of his turret was one that could wait. Maybe gentle conversation was what he really needed at the end of the day. Not the abrasive, gruff tone he usually spoke in. It was a tone of voice he hadn't used in awhile, and to be honest, it didn't feel too bad. "So," Curve inquired, "Ozpin's told me he's got an exercize planned for all the teams tomorrow. Going to the emerlad forest." Curve noted the title of the book Sward had. Sward was a good soldier. Always preparing as much as possible before a fight. If Curve had met him six months earlier and under the right circumstances, he'd probably be in his gang. Curve shrugged off the thought and leaned back in his chair.

Kuro Mayonaka

After hearing Azure's timid statement of concern for their newly-found companions, Kuro looked down the hallway to the entrance of the cafeteria. He too wondered about the outcome of Curve and Sward, the two transfers who had taught him a valuable lesson that would help his fighting style now and in the future. He sighed briefly as he looked to the door, then looked back to Azure, who has seen better days. He unzipped his jacket and removed it, first removing the holsters of Taiyo and Tsuki and adjusted those to his black t-shirt underneath. He handed her the jacket to use to either dry off or stay warm until she cleaned up a bit.

"Here, take this. You need it more than me right now, and I got a lot of other jackets I can wear. I'm gonna head to the library and do some studying....even though I hate it. I better start hitting the books before second semester starts," Kuro said sincerely. He started to walk away and waved a hand at Azure as he did. "You can keep the jacket by the way," he shouted as he kept walking.

@HoneyBear\-Kat

Asher nodded to Sward, with only a simple "Sup" being spoken. When Curve told him about the test in the emerald forest Asher replied, "Oh yeah I heard. Pretty fun. Nice way to blow off some steam." And now Asher couldn't find something else to say. He looked down at his book and started to look at some of the bigger monsters, looking at their weaknesses. He was fine with the silence honestly, but maybe the others weren't. Should he say something? He decided not to, if they wanted to talk, they would talk to him. He figured that they didn't seem to be the talking types so he dropped it. He continued to read his book, not really paying attention to the words, but getting a few into his head.

Ivory sat quietly on a tree branch, not paying attention to anything. Idly, she was playing with a knife that she had hidden in her clothing. She looked at her reflection on the blade and used it to move a bit of her hair on her face. "Hmm.." She hummed quietly, taking one more look at ground before jumping down to the ground. She didn't, know where the others were supposed to be at so she had taken to walking around the halls of Beacon, hoping to encounter someone. She returned the knife into her skirt and started to roam once more, looking out for things to alleviate her boredom.

Kuro didnt have an answer, and even though she asked, she didnt exactly expect him to have one either. Her eyes followed his to the entrance of the mess hall. For a few moments, she looked from him, to the door, then him, then the door. Trying to study his face to get a feel of what he may be thinking about. But it was no use. She watched the door and sighed, mentally trying to stay hopeful that they didnt get into TOO much trouble.

Zzzzzip

The familiar sound made her ears rotate, striking her curiosity. She looked at him and watched him strip off his jacket. Azure continued to stare, like a curious puppy trying to figure out what it was he was doing. He seperated the holsters and the actual jacket before handing it to Azure. She cocked her head back, and raised an eyebrow,"Here take this," he said. She looked at him like he was crazy. She couldnt burden him. Azure shook her head and took half a step back. "You need it more than me right now," he was right about that, she couldnt disagree,"and I got a lot of other jackets i can wear," at least she wouldnt feel too bad since he had others. the fox reached both of her tiny hands out and gasped the jacket, some of the fabric between her fingers. As she slipped it on, Kuro explained he was going to study up at the library, which she understood, that was always a productive way to spend some down time. When she wore the jacket, she looked down to see how it fit. She couldnt see her hands since the sleeves were much longer than her own, it became more of a blanket. But it was soft inside, and still warm from Kuro's body heat, very comforting. His scent was all over it, which she invited her to sniff one of the sleeves. It was nice, and covered up the mess underneath. She was thankful, and showed it by giving Kuro and sincere yet sheepish smile before he walked off. "You can keep the jacket by the way" he added, which surprised her even further. She stood there, in the large jacket, watching him leave the way a dog watches their master leave. When he was gone, the petite huntress in training looked around, thinking of what to do next. She wasnt totally new in Beacon but a little stroll on the campus wouldnt hurt before showering and retiring for the evening. Beacon was beautiful, she always enjoyed a good walk, especially when the sun began to set. Thats it then, she would wander, the way her mind does, until told otherwise.

The trio sat in silence a little while. Curve enjoyed the silence. He laid his head on the back of his chair, closing his eyes and resing his mind. Today was eventful. Not that he would admit it, Curve's air of indifference was stronger than his will to be honest. Which was about zero. But he detested lying, hence the incident in Ozpins office. He'd met a few new people. Not anyone who he could recruit as informants for his gang, hunters and huntresses had too many moral values. But Curve was interested in having a foothold in a city aside from his homeland, Vacuo. With the strange increase in violence here due to the people against the white fang, Curve might have exactly what he needed to achieve his goals. Not the violent people themselves, but the problems they caused. The people of Vale would be thrilled to have someone stopping the crime when local law enforcement failed, or didn't even show up. Curve and his gang intervening would definetely earn the favor of the peaceful white fang, and everyone knew they could support a growing orginization, not in force, oh no, but in propoganda. Curve had to stop himself from smiling. This was a perfect plan. And a perfect plan needs someone to perfectly execute it.

Curve's tattoos glowed dimly as he exhaled softly through his nose. He slowly picked his head off the back of his chair and rose to his feet. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Asher. It's about time for me to retire for the night." Curve straightened his tie and checked out his book, then left the library.

On the way from the library to the dorm rooms, Curve pulled out his scroll. He dialed a few numbers and held it up to his ear. After a few moments of silence, he began talking. "Yea boss?" The voice on the other end said, "You need somethin? You in trouble? You got som-" "Jackal, be quiet. I am trying to speak." Curve said. The voice on the other end of the line abruptly ceased. "Would you like to be relocated?" Curve asked, still walking towards the dormitories. "Oh boss, I'm sorry, I-" "You misunderstand me," Curve said, "This is a promotion, not a punishment." The suprise Curve detected on the other end of the line was hilarious. Jackal was a third rank recruiter for Curves orginization, the second being Panther, the lead recruiter Hex. There was more trusted people in Curves orginization, but those were always the fighters. Not the talkers. So Jackal was looking at quite a step up here. "I need you to bring a party of four to Vale. You are to be in charge of the secondary opperations in this city." This was basically Curve asking Jackal to be his second in command in Vale. Wolf being Curves right hand man in all matters, this was the highest you could get. Jackal stammered a bit, then finally regained his tounge. "Boss, thank you, thank you! But... But boss, only four?" Curve nodded. "Under the circumstances here, four is all we need. Give me a ring when you arrive. No rush." At that moment Curve turned a corner and almost ran into Kuro. He immediately ended the call and stuck his phone in his pocket. With a slight nod to Kuro, Curve simply continued down the hallway without even a glance over his shoulder. He located the dormitory he would be staying in with the rest of his team and shut the door behind him.

Morganite had a fairly peaceful day after the spat in the cafeteria, though really all this meant was doing more homework as while they might be looking to be hunters it would be really bad if they only knew hunting so there had to be more than combat lessons here. So classes generated homework and Morganite tended to drag his feet in doing it, it wasn't like he left it to the night before but it wasn't like he was done the same day he got it. Still this tended to mean he spent to long letting it pile it up and hand to do a lot in one day. This method was something he had settled on so he could have plenty of time to play around then just put a day aside for homework, or well an evening. While normally he would have gone to the library to work Morganite had instead gone to his dorm room, or well his teams room as they shared it for some reason, well he could see why space, bonding , and all that other junk. He had two issues with the room, one they were kind of small, they had all the room they needed but not much excess and two they were co ed which just struck him as odd and putting a bit too much trust in a bunch of teenagers. Well that just meant the new guy on their team would be both the luckiest guy and the most unlucky being on the same team with three girls and sharing the same room with them. Well at least there was trust.

Soon enough Morganite saw that time was flying and he was basically done with his work so he might as well hit the hay. With no one else on his team in the room he could change without any of the other girls seeing anything buy bursting in on him changing in the bathroom, he claimed he was shy about his body, it also kept them out of view of him should anything go wrong they couldn't say he wanted to see them, which honestly he wasn't to interested in. Though given the whole co-ed thing they really should expect such things. Either way he got changed into some pajamas and went to his bed, mostly to read as there was little point in trying to sleep till almost everyone was back.

Sward decided to pack it in. A few hours have passed since he entered the library. He gathered as much information about his destination as he could, but something else was nibbling his mind. As he walked out of the Library and into the school courtyard he looked up at the night sky. He remembered the nights when his mother told him about the different constellations in the night sky. Uhh... how he misses her and his father. Actually when Sward tried to remember what his father looked like he could only remember his helmet. Everything else was a blur. He remembered the day when his mother heard the news about how is father disappeared when he was spying on the White Fang. His mother told him stories about what they were about and how they acted. It wasn't long before he learned that she was a part of them, and even a lieutenant at that. She still kept her uniform as a symbol to remember what not to become Sward guess but his mother never told him the reason. He just remembered that one year before she disappeared she gave it to him and that was all. No reason or response but instead a gentle smile.

Sward continued to walk until he found his dorm room but OJ and Locke were deep in sleep. He noticed that his and Curve's gear were already placed in here. Sward then walked as quietly as he could and opened one of his trunks. It was a box containing his mothers uniform... and her mask. He put the box back in its hiding place and took the mask and walked outside again. He then climbed on top of one of the school buildings. He couldn't tell which one. He was too tired to care. As he layed flat on the ground he lifted the mask in front of the full moon. It looked mysterious to Sward, as if it held secrets that it wasn't telling him... Sward then took his helmet off and placed the mask over his face. Then his eyes closed and fell asleep.

KURO MAYONAKA

A little bit down the hallway, Kuro realized that maybe he shouldn't have just left Azure alone. She was probably startled and stil afraid of being alone, and he felt guilty for just leaving her like that. He hoped, at least, she would make it back to the dorm room and rest for a while. He passed Curve on his way to the library, who gave him a curt nod. Kuro returned his nod and continued walking. He hadn't seen Curve slipping the Scroll back in his pocket. When Kuro reached the library, he saw Sward and a few strangers sitting at a table. He had decided, though, that he wanted some time to study alone. He grabbed a book about the various types of Dust off of a shelf and sat down at a table alone, opening the book and started to read its contents.

After a while, the exhaustion finally got to him and he fell asleep while reading his textbook, having a delightful nap on with his head on the table. He was still out when night hit as Sward left.

Azure Snow

The faunus stood around trying to figure out what to do next. She looked down at her soaked clothes, it was probably best to get herself cleaned up. She briskly walked out of the mess hall, treaded through Beacon, and at last the dorm rooms were in view. She quickened her pace, the sun was setting, marking the end of another day, she didnt want to shower too late, when the cold settled in.

In her dorm, she pulled out one bag of her luggage from under the bed. In it held all sorts of things. She searched for a towel, and a small basket that held all the cleaning contents she would need. The dorm rooms didnt have bathrooms, instead there were large bathrooms on every floor that everyone shared. Azure made her way to the large bathroom, her towel in one hand, and cleaning supplies in the other. She reached the room and to her luck, it was empty and she had it all to herself. She stepped into a shower, closed the curtain shut and stripped herself, starting with Kuros jacket. Everyting was folded neatly and set on a stool just outside her shower. The towel was hung on a small rack on the wall next to the shower curtain and the basket of shampoo and soaps sat at her feet. A small hand reached for the knob, she turned and turned, until warm water began to pour onto her.

The whole room quickly steamed, but boy was it soothing. Her hair appeared longer now that it was wet. Suds and bubbles covered her body and her hair. It was reliving to feel the stickyness wash right off, and the warmth of the water felt magical. With hair shapooed and conditioned, and her body now juice free, it was time to leave. As much as she didnt want to, she had to rest. Her hand stuck out of the curtain, blindly searching for that towel. When she found it, she pulled it in to cover herself and gather her things before walking back to her room.

The hallway was cold compared to the steaming shower. She shivered and her teeth chattered while her hair dripped on the floor with every step. She gripped the towel around her body tightly due too muscle tension from the cold. At last she reached her room and quickly dried herself before putting on her sleep wear. She slept in a white frilly night gown that went to her knees, with short black shorts underneath, she never used to wear the shorts but since she started dorming she felt the need to. Azure prompted herself onto her bed and used the towel to dry her hair as much as she could. White ears and tail were poofy from the moisture but she didnt mind. It took her a moment to realize Kuro wasnt there, nor was Mel, and their 4 th member wasnt seen all day. Was she going to sleep alone tonight? That wont do. Azure whined, suddenly realizing how lonely she felt. She set the towel around her neck, crossed her socked feet onto the bed (her socks had little foxes on them) and waited.

And waited....

Aaaaand waited.

Some time had passed and it was only getting later. She grew worried. She didnt like sleeping alone, and she was going to do something about it. The small girl hopped off the bed, jumped into some fluffy boots that looked too big for her and ran out the door, towel around her neck, hair damp, night gown and all. She thought about takin her weapons but she felt safe in Beacon, there was no need (right?).

Stars out and the moon bright, a tiny faunus ran through Beacon. It was cold but the heat she generated from running kept her pretty warm. She stopped infront of the Mess Hall, and pulled at the doors. Locked.... She had back tracked to see if he couldve been there, but she didnt give up quite yet. Azure caught the scent of Kuro, who quickly recognized the smell after wearing the jacket long enough to familiarize herself. Her nose twitched with the scent and told her where to go. Again she took off, this time following her nose as a guide. Her boots made small thuds with every step, briefly reminding her of Curve. She frowned.

The scent ended its trail at the library. She crossed her fingers, hoping there was a chance it would be open. She pulled the door and...success! It was open. Her ears perked and she smiled, then quickly continued through. She enjoyed the change in temperature from outside to indoors. The fox wandered a little, following the scent that had grown stronger as she neared her target. There he was face down on the table, he must have fallen asleep. She gave a sigh of relief and walked to him, panting slightly from running in the cold. As she got closer, she saw a book opened under him. Ever so carefully she pulled it out from under his face, closed it, and oushed it aside. Her other hand shook his shoulder gentely, trying to wake him up. "Um..." she said, not really knowing what else to say to get him up. She just kept poking, nudging, and shaking him.

KURO MAYONAKA

Kuro had been sleeping for a long time. He had only hoped to take a short nap before going back to the dorm to get some real sleep, but he fell asleep for longer than he thought. When Azure starting poking him, he shifted himself in his seat. When she started nudging him he groaned quietly. When she started shaking him, his eyes slowly opened and he groggily looked up in front of him to see that the library was dark. He looked over to see Azure sitting there worried, and instantly felt shamed. He had left Azure all alone knowing full well how scared she was about sleeping alone. He instantly slammed his head on the desk and looked back up at her with a red mark on his head. She must've just got out of the shower a bit ago too, seeing the tower and her wet hair.

"I am so so so sorry. I got a little too bored and that's a bad combo when I'm exhausted. Are you okay?" He felt entirely guilty, and that was evident in the tone of voice he used.

Azure Snow

At last her persistence prevailed! Kuro had woken up, but she could still see the drowsyness in his eyes and hear the sleepiness in his voice. He looked at her for a moment then slammed his head on the desk, causing Azure to retract her hands and jerk back. Kuro looked back up at her and she looked at him with curious eyes. He apologized and explained he had fallen asleep after feeling exhausted. Azure shook her head and smiled, completely understanding. "Are you okay?" He asked her, concern with a hint of guilt penetrating through his voice. She felt a little bad for scaring him like that, but none of the less she was fine. The fox smiled and nodded, her tail wagging behind her. She looked down at his wrist, and with both hands placed both hands around it. Her grip was gentle but firm and steady. She pulled, trying to get him out of his seat and on his feet. Small little groans and sounds of effort came from Azure as tried to move the larger male. "Alphas should not sleep here," she mumbled. "Nobody should." She let him go and pointed at the door.

KURO MAYONAKA

After being shaken awake by his small teammate, Kuro groggily wiped his eyes with his left hand as Azure surprisingly took his right hand and tried to pull hiim out of the chair. It was obvious to him that she didn't want to be out any longer than she had to, and he wasn't one to just be blind to the needs of others, especially his friends and teammates. He stood out of the chair, stretching his lean 5 foot 11 inches frame. He may have been a bit on the tall side, but that was evened out by the fact that he was built lean, like a runner. He looked down at Azure, still pretty tired but he could walk coherently.

"I know I shouldn't sleep here, but studying is so boring and I was so tired," he said with a tired smile as he very obviously faked a whiney tone of voice.

@HoneyBear\-Kat

@HoneyBear\-Kat

Mel hushed the both of them, "And do you know what we should all be doing?" she asked a rhetorical question to her two teammates, "Answer: Studying! Honestly I don't know why you're the leader... It really should have been..." Mel paused to look at Azure with day-dreamy eyes and continued, "Azure..." Mel sighed. ((Let me know if I got the setting wrong))

Azure Snow

Finally Kuro was on his feet. He towered over her and Mel. He gave a tired smile, the sleepiness was contagious. Azure yawned and rubbed her right eye. Mel was scolding them, saying they should be studying. But it was too late. Sleep hit the fox pretty hard, and running to search for Kuro tired her out further. Azure heard name escape from Mel's lips behind her,"Hmm?" She turned her head, looking at her with half way open, bedroom eyes. In any case, the fox wanted to be snuggles under her blankets. She grabbed Kuros hand with one of her own, and with the other free hand she grabbed Mel's. The faunus walked with the two in tow, at this point Azure was desperate for rest and warmth.

She lead them out the library and through Beacon. Halfway to the dorms, she grew sleepier. Her quick pace slowed down. At first she was pulling them behind her, but now she walked along side them, still holding onto her team mates, falling asleep while she walked. They were almost there.

The moment Azure grabbed Mel's hand her heart raced, 'Beacon's the best!' she thought to herself as she was led away by the faunus one the way to the library. Mel then noticed how tired Azure looked, "Azure, love... You look a bit unwell... maybe you should sit this one out and let the 'alpha' do his job," she said with a hint of sarcasm when she mentioned the 'alpha'. She grabbed Azure who was on the verge of falling asleep and said, "And let sweet ol' Mel take good care of you!" she said as she hugged her giving Azure more warmth.

Ragnarock stared at Beacon with most of its lights out. He lurked just behind the treeline, concealed in shadow. The memoeries of the time he was a hunter runs through his mid. Ragnarock waited a long time for this. A very long time. His goal was very close to being achieved. There was just the matter of having a force behind him. As he was reminiscing about times past, he was approached by Garnet and Jett. The two of them bowed thier heads. Jett spoke first. "Master... We bring tidings from Adam." then Garnet spoke. "They are quite the "interesting"pair..." Sterling and Slate walked out from under the shadows and take a knee next to Garnet and Jett.

"We are under your command Ragnarock," Sterling stated, "Adam promises to send more men at the first opportune moment. But for now, we represent his cause." Unknown to Ragnarock, Adam sent Sterling and Slate to aid him in what he did, but also watch him. Keep your friends close, enemies closer.

Ragnarock turned around and walked in a slow pace towards the Sterling and Slate. He then snapped his fingers and the two were surrounded by various kinds of grimm. They snarled at Sterling and Slate and the two reached their weapons but Garnet stopped them. She shook her head and the two let go of their weapons. Ragnarock then walked in between the the grimm and petted them like his own pets. "Gentleman. I know that your boss is not that... trusting of me but I expect him to keep his word. We have work to do. A lot of work. Just remember if there is any fishy business I won't think twice about unleashing my pets on you and the others. Your first assignment is to collect as many grimm in the forest as you can. I will send a chopper to personally oversee your project. I wish you luck." Ragnarock then walked off the cliffside onto a Nevermore and flew off.

OJ awoke to a sudden movement in his shoulder. Was he moving it back and forth like that? No. "Get up," A gruff voice commanded. OJ opened his eyes, looking at the individual shaking his shoulder. It was Curve. He looked at his alarm clock. "Aww dayum, bruh, we got an hour before we gotta get goin anywhere." Curve snorted. "That's why I'm waking you up. You need to prepare." He stopped shaking OJ as soon as he showed signs of getting up and moving and moved onto Locke. "Get the fuck up," Curve glowered, flipping the boy onto the floor, his matress on top of him.

OJ did agree (albeit slightly) with Curve, he'd like some extra time to get ready today. Or any day. And he didn't mind getting up early. He glanced at Curve and Sward's beds, each looked like they hadn't even been slept in. Curves had been though, he could tell, the pillow was on top of the blankets, when before it was under them. Curve was allready up and moving, firing on all cylinders. Had he even got any rest? He seemed to be his normal, stony self, without any bags under his eyes, but dayum. This guy was a truck.

"Yo, what bout Sward? Where he at?" OJ asked, he didn't see him anywhere. "Trust me," Curve grunted over his shoulder once he was satisfied Locke was awake, "He won't dissapoint." With that, he was gone, out the door and to the specified meeting place in front of the emerald forest.

Locke was having the most wondrous dream until Curve flipped his mattress and was smashed like a pancake on the floor. "Ughhhhhh... Curve are you trying to give me a concussion? Why'd you do that? " Then before Curve could respond he remembered. He was up on his feet. He was still wearing his combat gear. He didn't take it off because he heard that all the teams were going into the emerald forest. He then rushed to the bathroom and brushed his teeth and cleaned his har. after going over his personal hygiene he ran back to OJ and Curve. "Alright guys I'm ready! Wait... Where's everybody?"

Azure Snow

The warmth of Mel's embrace was comforting, almost too comforting. It made her want to sleep even more. But the trio was almost there, Azure could see the dorms just up ahead.

Once they were in the room, she went straight for her bed and plopped on it. Getting under the covers was what she really wanted but she was too lazy to move from her position. She fell asleep in a matter of seconds, not waiting for either Kuro nor Mel to get into their beds for a goodnight. The little fox was tuckered out.

------------------------

The next morning was rather slow. Azure was always an early riser, but took her time getting ready. The others were awake when she sat up and looked around, her hair still in its bed-head form. She rubbed her eyes and blinked. Slowly, she got out of bed and stumbled to stand up, her legs begging to lay back down. She groaned and muttered under her breath. Even though she was an early bird, she hated mornings. Azure was always grumpy when she first got up. After some time passes, she'll be back to her normal self. But until then, she wore a permanent scowl. With pinched eyebrows and narrowed eyes, accessorized with a frown. She looked back at her bed before dragging herself to get ready.

She dressed as they slept, avoiding the awkwardness of changing in a co-ed dorm. The last thing she grabbed were her weapons. Small hands clipped a belt around her waist, and in them were her trusty pistols she loved so much. She strapped the bracers on her forearms and stood at the door with her hands on her hips. She had no idea what was planned for the day but at least she was ready.

Silas awakens, rather groggy from the night before. She looked around, and saw one of her teammates were still sleeping. She then gets up, and stretched out her legs and arms. "What a nice morning. I don't think that they would appreciate if i woke them up....." She said to herself, contemplating whether or not she should wake up Ivory. "Nah. I will let her sleep in." She said as she grabbed her armor, and went into a restroom to freshen up. @Metaphysics @Trundle

OJ poked his head up from behind the bed. "I'm doin' mah pushups man, you know that Nobody leavin you behind." OJ did a couple more with the other hand behind his back. Curve's gone off to who knows where. Long as he ain't rainin' on my sunny day I'm fine." OJ stood up, brushing himself off, letting a huff of air out through his mouth. "We got some shit to do today man, we gotta show ery' body how we work as partners. Awww nahh, we gon' show them good." OJ stretched, his joints popping a bit as he did. He was excited for the day. Locke was really the only one he shared his thoughts with much, so were the other two members of his team. But that was before... OJ shook his head. He'd get there when he got there. "Well c'mon homie, we movin' or what?" Staying around Locke had given OJ a bit more of an enthusiastic side than he used to have. It was moments like this where it really showed.
