RWBY: The Years Before: Shadow of Grim

Mel took a break from her chat with Silas to wave at her teammate, Azure. Mel then returns to her conversation with Silas, "Well looks like my team's off, wanna come along?" She asked Silas, as Mel knew that Azure's a bit shy and would like the company of more girls.
@Emperor Of Embers
"I mind as well go. I just got here, so some friends would be awesome." She said as she sheathed Conqueress. She then followed Mel to the others.

Curve held up the hand that wasn't comforting Sward. "Happy thoughts Sward, happy thoughts. Try candy. Suckers. Popsickles. Gummy bears. Allright?" Nodding at Kuro, Curve agreed with the statement. "It has been a long day. Food would be appreciated, this is about the time we used to eat dinner at Shade. And there will probably be more JUICE" Curve made sure to stress that word, and could practically feel Swards ears perk up through his helmet as he did. "at the cafeteria." To be honest, Curve was hungry, but he'd never admit it. It would be good to eat. And to get Sward his juice. Hell, fruitcose practically ran through his partners veins. He did not want to see Sward without his shugary fruit beverages. Kuro was gradually gaining more and more respect from Curve, even out of combat. Curve followed Kuro, keeping Sward calm with the occasional happy thought.

OJ shrugged. He was pretty complacant when it came to what others wanted to do. He didn't care, he was a teenage boy, he ate when he felt like it. But some down time was in order. Maybe some friendly socializing was what both teams needed to increase the bonds that made a team a team. Curve and Sward definately had them, even the tank had taken a break from being his outwardly arrogant, cold, shady self to calm his distraught partner down. OJ guessed everyone had a soft side, and Curves care for his close friends was one of them.

Sward snapped out and realized that Kuro was waiting for a response for him. He bowed his head apologetically. "Sorry about that Kuro. As for lunch I think that is a great idea friend." As he followed Kuro he just noticed the small fauna girl right next to him. Then he looked behind him and saw OJ, Locke and two other girls were following behind. As Sward walked down he could dense gazes that were upon him and Curve. There was some whispering too. As Sward entered the cafeteria he got 3 juice boxes and a large sub sandwhich. He then got out a bendy straw and started to slurp the juice boxes dry. As for the sandwhich he just lifted his helm a little and it slide down and practically disappeared. He sat down next to Curve and Kuro who he engaged a little conversation about where he was from and asking to meet Kuro's team individually. Locke sat right across from Sward and he looked he had something to ask him.

"Hey Sward... May I ask you a question?" Sward was sipping on his second juice box. "Go ahed shoot." Locke looked uneasy in his seat. His eyes closed and suddenly bowed his head just nearly missing hitting his head on the table. "Will you train me!!!" Sward then spit out some of his drink in surprise. "Ack! ack! Sorry... Went down the wrong pipe."

The petite girl was happy to hear that the girls decided to join. The two groups combined into one, at least just for lunch anway. What better way to get to know people than through food? Food, it seemed, was a chance for everyone to sit down amongst each other, talk to one another, and enjoy the flavors of food all in one event.

On the way, Azure couldnt help but notice people looking at them. At first she thought it was the typical "oh look its a faunus" reaction from other students, but when she payed closer attention, she realized the eyes were following Mr.Big Boots and the Green Knight infront of her. For once the eyes were directed to someone else. It must be because theyre transfer students. Azure sighed with relief, no one was looking at her this time. For the first time she felt normal. Her blue and silver eyes looked at the newbies walking infront of her, she thought maybe if she followed them around, people would pay more attention to them than her. The perfect plan.

As soon as the small clan arrived at the mess hall, the fox's senses were over whelmed. The sight of beautiful food. The aroma of the herbs and spices, and meat. The clamor of utensils digging into the grub. It was enough to make her stomach decide she was hungry. Azure disappeared, taking anything that looked or smelled good. As soon as she finished selecting, she searched for her group. Unfortunately, her short height made it difficult to look over the heads of other students standing and walking about. A low grumble came from Azure in frustration. However amidst the scent of food was the scent of juice mixed with faunus. Since she couldnt see the others, she followed her nose instead. When she got to the table, the guys had already seated themselves. She stood at the end of the table, holding her tray stacked with food. Despite her small structure, the girl could eat, she didnt mess around with food. But there was a problem, Azure didnt think that if she was going to tag along for a meal, she'd have to sit with them too. She swallowed down a sudden dryness in her throat,'Do not say anything idiotic, Azure...' she thought to herself. She shimmied her way between the bench and table with hesitation, carefull not to look at any one. She picked a seat beside Locke, who sat across Sward, Curve, and Kuro, and prompted herself to sit. When she sat, her legs couldnt reach the floor, but she didnt mind. She didnt sit too close to Locke, in fact she distanced herself enough for another person to squeeze between them. Paying no attention she dove into her food, eating anything she grabbed first. The food was good enough to make her tail wag while it hung off the bench behind her. Suddenly Locke asked Sward to train him personally, earning a spit take from the Green Knight himself. Azure jerked from the sudden action and blinked when she felt some sprinkles hit her cheek. She raised her arm and used her shoulder to wipe it since her hands were to busy holding food.

Mel saw that Azure looked a bit nervous and tried to talk to her to calm her, "So, Azure, can you tell me a little about yourself? If you don't mind..."

Just play it cool, Mel... You got this!

"I mean, nothing too personal... just something you're willing to share with the rest of the gang!" She said in a cheery manner.

OJ thought some training with Sward wasn't too bad an idea. But he was a student too, he'd still be learning. Sure, the availability would be better than a teacher, and there'd be more in depth lessons. Curve however, thought otherwise.

"Pshh." Curve snorted with a roll of his eyes, taking a bite of a hamburger. You couldn't teach someone how to fight. You weren't their person. You didn't have their weapon, their semblance, their pros and cons. The only way to really learn was to fight until you were untouchable. When you'd established a name for yourself. That was when you were good enough to actually try teaching someone a bit of the learning process, not the skills themselves. This isn't something he'd shared with Sward. He'd gotten knocked around enough to know how to dodge. Not what Curve usually did, but as long as you didn't get hit, it was allright with him.

KURO MAYONAKA

After getting a tray of three glasses of water, two cups of coffee, and three sandwiches, Kuro sat next to Curve, but left enough space in between the two for Sward to sit, knowing the green knightish figure would want to sit next to his pal from Shade. That was another thing that was on his mind. Ordinarily, everyone was staring at Azure since she was a faunus, but he noticed on the way in that everyone who wasn't shoveling their faces with food was looking at Sward and Curve. True, they cut imposing figures compared to his average height of five feet and ten inches, but everyone loved to gape at the new kids, especially transfer students. Kuro hated it. Just because they were trained somewhere else before Beacon or were born somewhere else did not warrant the staring they got. He ate the first sandwich with almost a scowl until Sward started asking him questions about where he came from and if he could meet his team. Kuro obliged the man, giving him the story of how his adoptive parents took him in and raised him after his real parents left him on the doorstep of some clinic. The only thing he left out was the death of his brother, as that was a real touchy subject. He also warned Sward about his team, like how Azure never liked to say anything at all, Mel wouldn't speak to anyone unless they were a girl and a faunus, and how their fourth member just up and left Beacon.

He was about to start asking Sward some questions, but then he heard the guy they called Locke just blurt out if Sward would train him, followed by Sward's impressive spit take. Kuro started laughing so hard that he almost choked on his third sandwich. He spit it out before it got lodged in his throat, hitting some poor kid in the back of his head. Whoops.

Omce in the mess hall, silas was overcome by good smells of food. She then rubs her belly hungrily a she went to go get some food. She liked to eat a lot, and grabbed huge portions of potatoes, chicken, etc. She then went to the table were Azure and Mel were, and sat down. @HoneyBear\-Kat @theManCalledSting

The faunus' cheeks were inflated with bites of food. She looked back and forth, left to right, as everyone spoke to one another. Kuro introduced his team to Sward, who was so curious about them. The fox nodded when Kuro mentioned she didnt like talking much, to confirm his statement. Curve's snort cause the fox to look at him. Unsurprisingly he seemed rather bothered. Kuro laughed hysterically in front of her. Laughing was contagious, seeing people laugh made Azure's spirits lighten up. She didnt laugh along, but she smiled and her tail wagged.

Beside her, Mel asked for Azure to share something about herself. She swallowed her food to speak,"M-myself?"

"I mean nothing to personal..." Mel continued,"Just something youre willing to share with the rest of the gang."

Azure set her food down and placed her hands in her lap. Her eyes followed, and watched as her fingers twiddled with each other,"Um..." she searched for something to share. 'Interesting...whats interesting...' She thought. A series of options came to mind. She could talk about her weapons? Mel and the stranger seemed interested in that previously. Or talk about certain skills she has? Since the guys seemed to be all about that. But none of them interested her. 'There must be something else...' the search continued for what felt like what ever. 'Something about myself....' it was harder than she thought, this...socializing thing. "I...." She started,"I....have exceptional vision in the dark." she decided on stating fact, a very general one at that,"As does most of the faunus population..." she mumbled, quickly realizing it wasnt very interesting at all.

A look at Kuro told Curve they were being watched. He shrugged. He didn't give a shit. He'd grown up with eyes on him everyday, both from other people his age, and the police. And unknown to him up until a semester ago, Shade Academy. It was until one decided to point that Curve got pissed off. Wiping his mouth off politely (hey, he was a thug, but he had manners) with a napkin, Curve stood up and blatently pointed back at the pointer. And then, he did the most idiotic thing anyone could do at the moment. The pointer stood up and came over to the table with his team.

"Ello," The newcomer said with a smug grin on his face. Three other teens, 'his squad' curve assumed, were in tow. Curve droped his hand and straightened his suit jacket. "It's a bad habit to talk about people before you've met them." Curve said bluntly. The newcomers smile only widened. "Heh, you don't scare me. Oooo, the badass transfers from Shade! Watch out, he's going to point at you!" This recieved snickers from his companions. One of them pointed at Curve, and waved his finger a bit too close to his face. "If you don't put that finger down, you aren't getting it back the same way." Curve warned. The teammate booped his nose. Curve snatched the offending finger out of the air and bent it back, the snap of the joint heard audibly, and the teen backed up with a shout of pain, holding his hand. The ring leader laughed. "Breaking bones is a bad habit too! You wouldn't mind if I... The boy snatched Swards juice box out of his hand and poured it over Curves remaining food. "...Returned the favor. In a bit. We're bound to have a class or two together" The team leader took a toothpick out, and after using it for its intended purpose, stabbed it into Swards last juicebox.

Curve didn't know who the hell this guy thought he was. But he sure as hell didn't know Sward. But Curve did. Purposefully disrespecting the juice? This was bad fuckin' news, and if Sward didn't have his helmet on, Curve was sure he'd be beet red with frustration right now. "HIT THE DECK!" Curve yelled, tossing himself on the floor in between the tables.

"Aww sheeit!" OJ exclaimed, following Curves lead. If the guy who was built like a tank was taking cover, he ought to as well. At first, OJ thought nothing had happened, but he noticed Sward grab his last juicebox, and his grip tighten.

Sward was furious about what this joker was doing to his friend. Then he saw the man steal his juice. He tried to find something soft enough to use as a stress ball but he found nothing of the sort and picked up a spoon instead. He was shaking a little. As he saw the juice boxed emptied on Curve's food he froze. His eyes followed the very last drop of juice until it ht the food. 'Happy thoughts,' he heard Curve's voice in his head again, 'happy thoughts'. Everything was fine, everything was happy. Lollipops. Smoothies. Gummy bears. "Gummy bears... Gummy bears..." He said to himself, clenching his grip on the spoon. Then the monster punctured his juicebox. Curve had taken cover, he knew what was coming next. OJ had as well. Good enough.

It was dead quiet. Sward took a deep breath. "GUMMY BEARS!!!" Sward shouted, snapping the spoon in his hands. He threw what remain of the spoon to the sides. Stood up and slapped the table. He then grabbed the leader of the group by the collar and threw him onto the table, elbowed him and in the stomach and slide him across the table knocking over food and drinks alike and ended up going into the trash bin at the end of the table. The others tried to grab their weapons but Sward was wy faster then them and grabbed the two by the neck and lifted them up off the gound smashed their heads together and threw them to the sides like they were nothing. The last one tried running away but Sward grabbbed his ankle and dragged him up and tied his shoelaces onto the ceiling fan and turns it on and sits back down and stuck his straw in another juicebox, acting like nothing happend.

"Night vision, huh? That is really cool." Silas said as she looked at her. "What is your semblance, if I may ask?" She asked the faunus, since she was curious about her power. "Mine is Rocksteady. Let me show ya." She said as she stood up, and focused her energy, hardening her skin to the hardness of the hardest rock known to man. She felt her strength increase, and she now appeared as a rock statue, that lives. @HoneyBear\-Kat @theManCalledSting @everyoneelse

At that moment, Glenda Goodwitch burst into the cafeteria. She had caught wind of a fight. The doors slammed open, and she took one look at the table the two squads were sitting at. She also saw Silas with her semblance active, and therefore assumed it was her who had caused all the trouble. "Miss Sharpe!" She exclaimed, "I am VERY dissapointed in you!" Curve picked himself off the floor, brushing himself off with dignity. "And fighting with one of the TRANSFERS. They've just arrived! Do you think that that has made them feel welcome? If I-" "Please, Mrs. Goodwitch," Curve said, holding up a hand, his face tattoos glowing, "Look around. You've walked in at the wrong moment, and you are blaming the wrong person. These four gents got up in my grill." Glenda's mouth set itself in a straight line. Curve didn't think she bought it. But what she did buy, was that two of Curves classmates were picking themselves off the floor, rubbing growing lumps on their foreheads, one was trying (and failing) to get out of a trashcan, and the last was flying around in circles attatched to the ceiling fan. She glared at Curve, who blatently returned the stare with a placid gaze. "Ozpin. NOW." Glenda said, pointing down the hallway. "Of course,"Curve said compliantly, following Goodwitch to the office. Before the doors slammed shut, Curve gave Sward a nonchelaunt salute.

Sward now felt that he got his friend into more trouble because of what he did. He knew he had to fix this. After all it is not cool to let others take the heat for something you did. He ran after the two in hopes of clearing up all misunderstandings and if there is supposed to be punishment it should be put on him. After all he made matters worse.

Silas immediately cuts off her semblance as she was scolded by Glenda, and immediately wanted to say something back, but it ended with Curve being taken to Ozpin's office, with sward. She had to explain her side of the story, just to clear things up. So she followed them, and eventually caught up with Sward. @Carnation @Alstromeria

The new girl seemed rather impressed by Azure's faunus given gift of night vision. She smiled, feeling a little better about herself. The girl was quick to ask about Azure's semblance but befor she could reply, Silas already prepared herself to show her own. Azure turned her body slightly to watch as the girl's body turned to rock. The fox clapped with a smile, it was cool to see a semblance like that. Azure's semblance was more...supportive. She always wished she could have a defensive semblance like that, or an offensive one like others. She was ready to explain when suddenly Curve, who sat across from her, stood up in his seat pointing to some strangers. Her eyes followed his point and saw a group of young lads heading their way. No one had to say much for Azure to feel the tension in the atmostphere. While she was watching the statuette a problem had risen. A quiet, almost inaudible whine came from Azure. Ears flattened and she sat quietly as Curve and the trouble making boy said something to eachother. The newcomer mocked Curve in his face and suddenly all of the vixen's worry for a fight breaking out, dissipated. She grew annoyed with the jerk. Azure was the protective type, even if shes small and feels like she cant do much, seeing people mess with people she knows is a problem. She scowled, and the fur on her tail puffed up, as well as her hair. She wanted to do something. Start a fight? No. She doesnt start fights but she wouldnt mind finishing them. She wouldve done the proper thing: keep a fight from occuring. Just when she was about to, Curve had broken the finger of one of the jerk's goons. Serves him right. Azure was a little shocked though, do something so serious like that. But of course, it didnt stop there, the rude boy took Swards juice and dumped it right before the eyes of everyone at the table. Azure pursed her lips, her eyes widened and she looked at everyone at the table to see their reaction. She sat back, deciding that at this point its best to stay out of it.

Swards love for juice was about to show itself and Curve knew it too. Azure finally looked at Sward to see what he was going to do about it but when she looked at him, he seemed so...tense. After a moment of silence from him, he quietly started to chant "gummy bears". She was a little confused but now wasnt the time to question it. "Hit the deck!" Curve warned. The faunus couldnt comprehend,"What is it we are hitting exactly?" she looked to the others. Just as she asked, the Green Knight shouted within his helmet, making Azure cringe from the volume, followed by flattened fox ears. The spoon in his hand snapped in half. Just that in itself was impressive and enough to make Azure understand what Curve meant. She mimicked him, and ducked under the table when Sward began to lash out. She couldnt see anything (being under the table and all) but she could hear thuds against the top side of the table, things sliding and crashing. She took a peak, and witnessed the once calm and collected knight washing the table with the boy. He pushed the food off the edge, including her own,"HEY!" she pouted, but ducked again when the drinks toppled over. Unfortuneately the liquids managed to spill over the top of her head. Water, juices and other beverages alike. Her face became unamused when she felt the coolness of the drinks pour over her and drip onto her clothing. She blinked wiping some off her eyes. The thuds and bumps continued, until there was silence. Something she always enjoyed. Her damp and ruffled ears perked up, and slowly but hesitantly did she come out of cover. When she deemed it safe, she stood up and away from the table, looking at the mess the drinks had made in her hair and on her clothing. She stood stiff, with arms extended on either side, her sleeves dripping and the front part of her shirt and jacket darkend from moisture. Her hair was no longer fluffy but flat, heavy with liquid. She was a mess. It was uncomfortable but she wasnt upset. Not all the drinks were water so she expected to feel sticky in a matter of minutes.

Behind her, the double doors of the mess hall swung open, with a steaming Goodwitch storming down the aisle. Her targets landed on Silas, but Azure shook her head in protest. Yes, she did activate her semblance out of the training areas but she wasnt the cause of anything. Curve tried to explain what was really going on, and the soaked faunus nodded in agreement. With every nod she could feel the juices that had ran down her neck growing sticky. She shivered from the indesireable feeling. However because Curve confessed he was part of it, Goodwitch demanded he report to Ozpin's private office as a consequence. Azure actually felt bad for the arrogant Mr.Big Boots. Curve left, waving at Sward, and Azure looked at the aftermath of Swards wrath. "Now...We do what?"

EDITED:

Then Sward and Silas ran after Curve leaving Kuro, Mel, Locke, OJ, and Azure herself behind. (Lol)

KURO MAYONAKA

Kuro enjoyed a good laugh after Sward's reaction to Locke's question. He wiped tears from his eyes. It may look pathetic, but he has honestly not had much to laugh at since before the winter exams. Sward seemed like a real nice guy to him. The only quirk he could find was his unnatural love of juice. Curve, on the other hand, was a chisled rock. He was quiet and brooding, almost always with a scowl on his face. He took the intimidation route to try and get his opponents to back down before he even took a swing in a fight. Speaking of his fighting style, it just seemed to be block whatever he thought was insignificant (which was most of the attacks thrown at him) and then would pummel his enemies when he got bored. Sward's style seemed to revolve around poking his enemies style to get a view of how they fought, and then go all out to find their weakspots. Kuro had a lot to learn from them.

That was about when the four jerks got up from their table and made it their goal to get up in Curve's face. Very poor decision. Curve stood up to meet them, and Kuro had a feeling that he was glad that he finished his food. They exchanged some dialogue: Curve trying to intimidate them into backing down and them not caring. Curve broke one of the leader's fingers, to which he responded by desecrating Sward's juice boxes. That's when Curve gave everyone the holy advice to take cover, which Kuro took no extra time in doing. Hiding under the table, he couldn't see what was going on, but he guessed it wasn't good since he saw trays of food and drink going over the sides of the table. He even saw poor Azure get dumped on. He'd need to help her out and show some sincerity before Mel could make a move on her so she didn't get even more frightened.

When the noise died down, he heard the ever so distinct voice of Glenda Goodwitch, at which he popped out from under the table and saw that other girl from earlier looking like a statue. Kuro guessed it was her Semblance, and using a Semblance outside of the training areas was a real no no. Kuro didn't expect Curve to take the fall for Sward, and saw him march down the hall after her to see Ozpin. Sward and Silas jogged after. Kuro walked over to Silas and crouched down, wiping some of the food off with a sincere facial expression. She must be scared off her rocker.

"Hey, Azure, you alright? I know how you hate stuff like that and I wanted to check up on ya," he said with a half-confident smirk.

Azure Snow

The mess was....well...messy. Food was spread out all over the floor. Wasted. Completely soiled. Gone. Trashed. Azure became more concerned with the fallen food than her own soaking clothes. She let out a quiet,"Ohh..." of grief. She was still hungry. Her attention moved from the tragedy of the food to the others that remained around her. Her eye brows furrowed and she frowned. She looked at the door, thinking about Sward, Silas and (yes) even Curve, hoping they wouldnt get into too much trouble.

Suddenly Kuro came into view, crouching down to level with her and taking a piece a food stuck onto her hair. "Hey Azure," he said. She looked up at him, wearingn the same concerned expression. Kuro continued,"I know you hate stuff like that, I wanted to check up on ya," he gave a small smirk. His own concern was comforting, made her just the slightest bit less tense. The tiny fox gave a single nod and grabbed the corner of her shirt, trying to wring it out. "What is going to happen to them?" her small voice asked Kuro. She looked up at him and waited for a reply. She could only imagine the nervousness shed be feeling if she was called into Ozpin's office. It was frightening. Then she looked at the initial trouble makers that now lay unconscious.

Curve was ushered by Glenda to the top of beacon, where Ozpins office was. After knocking, a gentle "Come in." was heard, and Glenda jerked her head for Curve to go first. Curve grabbed the door handle and opened it. All the way, so that the knob of the door tapped the wall behind it with a gentle *thud*. Hey, if he was going to open a door, he was going to do it right. "Sit," Glenda hissed, pointing to a chair in front of the table. Curve did not sit. Glenda continued. "Ozpin, we had a bit of a situation in the cafeteria. A fight ensued. This young man was behind it." Curve stood with his feet planted apart, his arms folded. He wasn't trying to intimidate Ozpin. Just show that being here was more of a bother than anything else. He didn't really care, but such was his way. Ozpin bridged his fingers together, his elbows on his desk. "Cervena Bolva. Bane of the shopping district of the kingdom of Vacuo. Your reputation preceeds you." Curve shrugged, taking a few steps closer to the desk in his slow, even gait. Even though he wasn't as tall as Ozpin, his bulky figure seemed a bit demeaning towards the thinner man. His footsteps resonated throughout the silence of the tower. "The title 'Bane' suits me. It really does. But when it comes to Vacuo, I prefer the term 'Savior'. I did a whole hellofalot better at keeping the place safe than they did." Curves face was relaxed, his mind unfazed.

"How DARE you!" Glenda scolded, "This is your HEADMASTER! He deserves your respect! If our places were switched, I would-" "Glenda please." Ozpin said, holding up a hand. Repremanding the leader of a cartel is not going to work. But Cervena, your vulgarity is not appreciated. Curve's fist clenched. "Curve. My name is Curve." Curve did not want to be called his name by his teachers. He was Curve. That name held power. Respect. "And we're not a cartel. We're... Alternate law enforcement. We have duty and honor, unlike criminals." Glenda scoffed, and folded her arms, but Ozpin humored the notion. "Is that why you're defending Sward? You're lying about fighting the other students because you feel responsible for protecting him?" "You're wrong there, I havent lied," Curves tattoos glowed dimly, "I simply said they got up in my grill. Which they did. They just also made the mistake of mesing with Swards juice. And I said that Glenda was blaming the wrong person for the assault. And she was, she blamed a girl from another team." Glenda's mouth opened in an O shape. Well how did you know he didn't cause that wreckage? Glenda asked Ozpin. Ozpin put his scroll on the table, which was playing looped footage of Sward sliding the leader of the opposing team across the table. "Curve took cover. But he did break that one's finger." Ozpin rewound the footage to depict the scene. Curve shrugged. "He touched me first. It was warranted." "But a bit of an overreaction mmm?" Curve shrugged, his arms still crossed.

Ozpin sighed, standing up. "Curve, this isn't where you grew up. I've read your file. Glenda has too. We usually do for the new arrivals and transfers. You are safe here. There is no need to prove yourself to the teachers or the other students." Curve begged to differ. He sneezed. "I'm sorry, I'm allergic to bullshit." Curve retorted, wiping his nose. "What happened today was a blatent contradiction to your statement. It is not 'safe' here. Relatively, but no. It's not safe anywhere." Glenda leaned over the desk so she could look Curve in the eye. "Cerv-... Curve. It is safe here. We have teachers, state of the art security systems, and well trained staff that can protect you. Curve grabed her gaze with his dark brown eyes, and locked on, raising an eyebrow. "Protection from what?" He retorted. Glenda fell silent, and looked away. "I'm not sure you're quite aware of what's going on in Vale, are you?" Curve said, finally unfolding his arms and claBmp-ing around Ozpins desk, running his fingers along the edge of the smooth glass, "There's been quite the crime increase in the past six months. Being the leader of a... Cartel, as you so crassly put it Ozpin, of course I know things that I shouldn't. Secrets you wouldn't want shared. Frightening things. And we all can tell what happens when there's the stench of fear in the air. I've noticed the white fang is experiencing quite a bit of violence from anti protesters. The white fang is a peace group. Someone wants a peace group down and out? Isn't that just a tad attention worthy?" The two adults said nothing. Curve might have been a thug, but he was smart. And he had sources. "Don't, try to tell me, that here, of all places, is safe." Curve said bluntly though gritted teeth, "You need help. But you don't know who to go to. And this is a sensitive matter. So I suggest you tell your students what you will..." Curve stopped walking and smacked his fist down on the table with his next sentance, more of an angry growl than speech. "...But do not accuse me of lying, then blatently lie to me."

With that, Curve turned on his heel and walked towards the door. "You don't mind if I leave now, do you? You can expect me at detention." Ozpin stood up. "That isn't necissarry. Instead of detention, I propose tomorrow that Glenda leads a couple of teams out into the emerald forest to look for munic bark. We need to replenish our crafting supply. You and the others will just have to get along until then." Curve snorted and walked out the door, closing it behind him. He turned down the hallway, and immediately ran smack dab into Silas and Sward.

"So? What is gonna happen to you?" Silas asked, feeling bad for the whole thing, feeling as if part of it were her fault. "I never meant for this to happen..... I just wanted to show off my semblance....." She said as she looked down, and grabbed her left arm. @Alstromeria @Carnation

Sward stopped dead in his tracks. "Nothing will happen to you. As for me I do not know... But like i said before It wasn't your fault at all. You just showed your semblance for not even a minute. What I did was much worse. I started a fight with the other team and destroyed the cafeteria, and even ruined your meal. Besides a girl like you shouldn't worry about this. I may just have met you but you seem like a nice enough person who cares about others... Even people they just met." Faces Silas. "Look you are innocent, but I'm a monster. I know it just looks like I got upset because of something so childish but it is something that is very important to me..." Sward leans on the wall. "I don't know if you care or not but... When I was still back at Shade everyone avoided me because of my strength. No one would talk, or fight with me... Not even the teachers... I was alone for months until one day while I was sitting on the sidelines I was approached by Curve. He was just like me. Well except more intimidating. He gave me a short speech how not to give a damn about the problems that face you. He then handed me a juice box and walked away and I just stared at him. As he continued to walk I ran to catch up with him and we were friends ever since. Ever since then we fought side by side even till today... " Sward looks up to the ceiling. "I guess I love juice boxes so much is because... I see them as a sign of my friendship... A sign that tells me that I'm no longer alone." Looks to Silas again. "That is until I met all of you guys and gals today."

Just then the doors to Ozpin's office opened and Curve was walking down the hallway. Sward stopped leaning on the wall and stood up waiting in anticipation to hear his punishment.

Curve jerked his chin at Sward, as was their normal greeting. "No blame. We're in the clear." Curve punched him on the shoulder a bit roughly. "No punishment. Actually something fun. We're going to the emerald forest tomorrow. Maybe run into something worth killing." Curve took a glance at Silas, reguarding her a bit curiously, but his way of doing this was with a blank stare. She was legitamately worried she'd get in trouble for showing her semblance. Curve exchanged a glance with Sward, pointing at her. "Her. I like her. She's funny." Curve then returned his attention to Silas. "Listen." He made sure she was paying attention before he began, "Don't ever be afraid of your own strength. If you have a chance to show power, do it. If others fear you for it, then good. It just means they'll stay out of your way." Curve began the decent to the lower floors of beacon academy. "It's been a long day. I need quiet. Sward, you know where I'll be."

That place would the library. Unknown to most people, and vaugely out of character, Curve liked books. Well, maybe not too much out of character. Curve had an appreciation for art, and had pretty refined tastes, but could stand for anything he had to make do with. This love for art, paired with uninterrupted alone time and thinking was usually in a place with alot of books. Namely the library, when it was frowned upon to talk loudly. That's where Curve would go, and he'd spend time there until he was needed, or until he was bored.

"Emerald forest? That is so cool..... But.... I hope no Beowulves will show up......" Silas said in a frantic tone, fear in her voice as she looked away. "I was alone too..... The only training I got was from my uncle..... I only got accepted here because of my skill.... And my weapon. I had no friends at all my entire life. The only friends I had were animals..... You guys are the only ones I have met...... And so kind." She added, and looked at them. "Sorry.... I am rambling aren't I?" She asked them. @Carnation @Alstromeria

Morganite had been in the cafeteria when the fight or whatever event had started up and he like many others had taken some form of shelter and just kept on eating. Though it had just lasted a moment before order was restored, which was a good thing the place was odd enough as it was it didn't need people tossing others or food. Though he was one to talk about odd a guy living a girl's life so pot calling the kettle back. Normally Morganite would try to get others attention to make friends and be popular but after two months in the school he realized something, his parents would never know if he was popular or not, they would never know anything for long as he remained in the school and didn't flunk out or whatever they did with bad students. With that realization Morganite had realized he didn't really need to act like his sister might have he didn't need to be the center anymore, he could lie about everything and his parents would still praise him.

So after the first few months morganite had really stopped trying to be everywhere, he could for once relax and just tell his parents what they wanted to hear, well for long as he didn't fail or die or whatever else this place had in store for him. So to his team h e was just a normal girl with a greatsword as he never used the alternate modes or at least that was he wanted them to think he was no mind reader. Either way he was just trying to be a mostly average girl and get something of a breather from the pressure he had lived with for years.

Morganite did wonder what his team was up too right now. Likely they were training, or sparing, or studying . If it wasn't for the need to be able to fight Morganite would likely just laze about all day but he couldn't even he had to practice and try to keep up with the others , not an easy task or really possible meaning he was likely the worst fighter on his team. That didn't bug him good or bad attention was attention and at least his team would know he existed as something more than another girl. It was a bit of a paradox trying not to be constantly the center of attention but still wanting it. Likely that thinking was just left over as he developed his own personality instead of just adopting another's like he had always done. The desire was his he knew that but beyond that he had never really been his own person he was just the shadow of his sister, but then he had become her and his desire for others to see him had somehow never really gone away.

Asher was finally on his way to the library, finally deciding to study for a change. New life, new style and all. Whether he will have changed his mind on that by the time he reaches his destination, well, only time will tell. He was leaving his preset dorm room, before he realized that he was actually probably never going to get a team since he was late to the school year starting. He shrugged off his thought and started towards the wonderful world of books. He kept his hands in his pockets, his eyes drooped, and his back hunched just enough so Asher looked about 6'3". He hadn't made eye contact with many people because he was quite the giant, some of the shorter students tend to be just intimidated by him, just at first. Asher had only recently learned the layout of the school, but he mostly remembered the main areas, including the library, his classes, the lunchroom, and his dorm room. Before Asher knew it, he was at the library. Before he entered he was taken aback by his thought of whether or not he really wanted to study. He contemplated for almost a full minute before entering the "emporium of knowledge". He got the shivers the instant he stepped in the building. He obviously was not familiar with the way libraries worked because he sat down at a random table and just looked around for a little bit. Some people stared, some laughed, and some ladies were checking him out, nothing too out of ordinary, except, the books. Asher finally managed to peel himself off of the seat and forced his legs to move his body to a random book he found on a shelf. "The Types of Grimm", Asher seemed intrigued and he took the book back to his own empty table. He opened the book and started to look at the words, but instead, contemplated his decision of whether or not to stay there. He obviously stood out in this group.
