Startled Celena nearly drops the picture but catches it safely looking at the picture she nodded sadly, "Yeah these were my parents."


Putting down the picture Celena dusted off the dust on the picture frame and smiled softly, "They were awesome."

"Were?" Eli asked curiously, watching Celena's body movement and eyes. He learned how to read people in his younger years. He could see easily that the topic made her sad. "If you don't mind me asking..."

Turning to him the small smile disappeared and her face became rock solid, "They were murdered."


(Hope that isn't too much...)

Eli felt his heart drop. He couldn't imagine how hard that would be. He wanted to ask how and when and if she is okay and so many questions. But he didn't want to upset her. He couldn't find any words that he found suitable to the situation.

Noticing that his mood had dropped from the statement Celena sighed, "I was hoping to see them again soon... But someone stopped me."


Knowing that he would take the comment a little too seriously Celena patted his head once, "Don't act like that. It doesn't suit you."


Opening the door to her room Celena looked at him, "Wanna go outside?"

Eli forced a smile, "I think you're better off here for now anyways," He looked at her as she opened the door, "Sure."

 

[EternalMusic]

Raising her eyebrows celena turned around and walked down towards the back door, "Come along Eli."


Without another word she began to climb a big large tree in the middle of the backyard. Stopping mid way Celena sat down on the branch and looked at the horizon.

Eli followed her outside, but he stayed on the ground when she climbed the tree. Again, he was being cautious, he didn't want to upset her. "You climb a lot?" He called.

Looking down at him she nodded, "Why are you waiting down there?"


Patting to the spot beside her Celena motioned to him to come sit next to her.

Eli planned a map in his head of how he was going to climb the tree. He wasn't so experienced at climbing things, but he had a lot of muscle on him and he wanted to look good while climbing. He grabbed a hold of one branch and lifted himself over it and onto the next one. Eventually he reached Celena's branch and sat on it next to her, "This isn't going to break, right?"

Celena looked at him in surprise and held back a small laugh, "No, don't worry."


Looking at the horizon Celena felt the wind blow into her face and she held back several strands as they began to fall onto her face.

"This is a beautiful view," Eli said softly as he noticed the breeze whipping Celena's hair. His hand reached up and dragged the little strands of hair that fell on her cheek behind her ear.

Startled from the feel of his hand Celena moved back and stared at him. Not sure what to do from that reaction of hers and not wanting to hurt his feelings. She looked ahead avoiding eye contact, putting her hair up into a bun.

Eli gulped, and felt things go awkward. He didn't mean for it to be like that. Although, he definitely felt the awkwardness and stared at the horizon. He didn't want to look at Celena, for she made him nervous. Instead of sitting in silence, he decided to spark up a conversation. The first thing he could think of was, "So who do you live with now?"

Taking a quick peak at him Celena watched him as he tried to spark up a conversation, "I don't live with anyone in particular... I guess you can say that I live with my servants but that's it. I don't have any siblings so all have our my servants and the occasional dog that likes to come into our backyard from time to time."

((I don't wanna godmod or anything but the plot of this romance is that she lives in an abusive environment .. :b))


Eli was silent for a moment, thinking hard. "Doesn't that get lonely?"

(Yeah sorry... I will explain her in her thoughts...)


Looking at him Celena wanted to say that it was lonely where everyone hated her and blamed her for her parents death and the servants tended to ignore her existence an only really appeared when someone else was around like before. She also wanted to tell him that the dog brought dark letters saying that someone was after her. But she didn't.


"No," with that she began to climb down the tree and walk back towards the house.

Eli followed her back into her house. He felt the vibe change from happiness to sadness and he wasn't sure if he should stay here to make she sure was okay or if he should just let her be alone for a while. With her was the first time he had a hard time striking up conversation. "So..." He started.

Ignoring him Celena decided that it was best for him to leave. She had enjoyed the small amount of time from taking a break with reality but it was time for her to return.


"I think you should leave Eli," without looking at him she hopped up the stairs and didn't say another word.


Straight afterwards her servants ushered him to the door and said an abrupt good bye.

Eli gulped after he was pushed away so suddenly. He wondered what happened... But more importantly, he wondering if she'd be okay. He didn't even get to say goodbye. "Okay then.." He whispered to himself as he walked to his car and away he drove. Eli couldn't stop thinking about her and the time they spent, though.

He wanted to see her again Saturday, but he didn't want a door slammed in his face. He wanted to go see her Sunday, but he wasn't sure if she'd be home or if he'd be welcome.


So he decided to just wait until Monday at school. Monday morning he got up earlier than usual to put in a little extra effort to make himself look nice, then he headed off to school, still a bit early.

Leaving home as she normally did Celena had managed to avoid contact with any of her servants and the dog hadn't come over for the whole weekend. Thank you... Not thanking anyone in particular Celena hopped onto her bike an made her way to school. Not wanting to bump into Eli, Celena made sure that she avoided the normal places that she saw him hanging around with his crowd.

When Eli got to school, he hung with his 'crowd' for a very short while. Then he went to look for Celena. He had never seen her before, so he looked in every 'hidden' place in school. He couldn't find her and we was not about to look in the bathroom. Maybe she wasn't at school yet? Eventually the bell rang for school to start. Eli started walking towards his class, keeping an eye out for the girl.

Nervously going into class she sat down in her usual back corner seat. She loved the seat being able to see everything everyone was doing whilst the teacher told them calmly to shut up. But at the same time she didn't enjoy talking to others. Celena was complicated like that. She couldn't remember if Eli was in this class and she was a little worried about it too, if he came up to talk to her she was sure to get harassment from the other teenagers around her. She didn't want that, she wanted to avoid any chances of that at all cost.

Eli was unaware that him and Celena shared their first class together. He didn't pay attention to anyone who didn't try and talk to him. He hoped that he would find Celena during lunch, so he walked into the room and took his seat in the second row with out scanning the other students.

Noticing Eli sit in the second row Celena immediately placed her books in front of her making sure that he wouldn't be able to see her. Hiding her face throughout class Celena waited for everyone to leave the class room before leaving herself. I think I missed him... Moving from the classroom she decided to go somewhere that nobody would be able to find her...
